Chapter2: Dance of Destruction

Before Valentina could answer, a timid voice offered to take care. She turned around to see herself staring at a petite blond girl, who was a lot shorter than her as she introduced herself as Yui Komori. Valentina grabbed the girl's small warm hands and thanked her.

"Nice to meet you," Valentina said, letting go of Yui's hand as she kissed her right cheek much to the blonde's shock. She heard the redhead that had lingered in their class drop his books so suddenly and Kanato was mumbling angrily which Valentina couldn't quite hear. "Sorry for grabbing you like that, it's just I'm so used to greeting people with a kiss on the cheek that I forgot that this isn't Mexico and customs here are different."

She had been hoping she didn't scare the one friendly face, and to her relief Yui had become less tense and smiled at her.

"It's okay," Yui said quietly, looking at Valentina's welcoming eyes that shine a lovely hue of blue-green. She was the only girl to have ever spoken to her and it felt nice having the warmth of her hands on hers. She glanced nervously at Ayato, who was glaring at their interaction, and Kanato who was seething for interrupting his talk with her. Valentina seemed unaware of the boy's change in mood and Yui gulped knowing that she would pay for it once she arrived at the Sakamaki mansion. Valentina saw Yui shaking like a leaf and wrapped her shawl around the blonde girl.

"It gets awfully cold here, I'm not yet used to this change," Valentina said, grabbing her book bag, and hooking her arm under Yui's. "We should probably head to class. It'll be second period soon."

Yui broke from her trance and nodded, feeling safe in the girl's warm shawl. Valentina waved good-bye to Kanato who clutched his bear angrily, and they walked past the moody redhead who wouldn't stop glaring at them. Who pissed in his morning coffee? She wondered not caring much for either guy. They both ran to the opposite side of the school where their science class was being held, but neither she nor Yui had unlocked their arms. They walked in ignoring the stares of their classmates and took a seat at one of the empty science tables. The bell rang and the professor started class by reminding students that those who they were sitting with would be their partners for the rest of the semester. Valentina grinned, squeezing Yui's hand in excitement, at being paired with her. Yui smiled at her newly made friend, acknowledging that her smile was contagious. They both took out their notebooks and began to write down the lecture diligently as the professor presented his slides. After class had finished, Valentina asked where the bathroom was, hooking her arm with Yui's again.

"Sorry I forgot to ask if that bothers you?" Valentina apologized, not wanting to be insensitive and invade the blonde's personal space. She knew some people didn't like to be touched, and she had barely met her less than an hour ago. Yui shook her head, liking Valentina's presence. Her friend smiled, "good because I get cold really easily and I need the free heat."

Yui laughed and guided her to the restroom. Valentina washed her hands and pulled out her tube of strawberry lip gloss applying some to her lips. Yui watched her intently in awe, she thought Valentina was very pretty, she was tall with long eyelashes and full plump lips; she looked the complete opposite of her. Valentina noticed Yui staring and gently turned the blonde's face over to her. She applied her lip gloss on Yui before she could hear her complaint. She grabbed a scrunchie from her bag and began to braid her silky blonde locks and clipped a flower barrette in her hair.

"There! You look super cute," Valentina gushed, hugging the blonde from the side.

"Thank you," Yui said, smiling at the detail. "What class do you have next?"

Valentina pulled her schedule from her book bag, and it read free period. Yui clapped her hands explaining so did she, and that they also both had lunch together too.

"That's great! What do you usually do during your free period?"

Yui blushed, not wanting to tell her the truth, that she would sometimes be whisked away by a hungry vampire. "Umm I usually study at the library, but you can go anywhere you like," Yui said, secretly hoping that Valentina wouldn't leave her alone.

Valentina tapped her chin in thought. "Is there a music room here?" She asked Yui who nervously nodded her head. "Let's go there, it'll be fun! We can always go to the library during our study period.

"There's usually an upperclassman who stays there," Yui confessed, knowing that Shuu may be there sleeping.

"They can't be there all day," Valentina said, "come on let's go." She urged, tugging on Yui's sleeve, and the girl hesitated before taking her to the music room. It was empty, much to the blonde's relief.

"You see there's no one here."

Yui nodded her head, wondering what Valentina was planning on doing as she looked at her searching through the cabinets and saw her pulling out a radio and a couple of cords.

"Do you need some help," Yui asked, Valentina shook her head, connecting all the cords to the radio and plugging it in her phone. Yui's light red eyes went wide as Valentina handed her phone to her. Yui looked down at the girl's phone, and she wanted to ask if she could use it, but she hesitated and decided to wait until they were in the bathroom.

"Pick a song," she told her. "Something upbeat, we're going to dance!"

"I can't dance," Yui confessed, pushing the phone away from her. She didn't want to embarrass herself in front of her.

Valentina urged, "I promise I won't laugh. Cross my heart. You know I can always teach you, if you want."

Yui raised an eyebrow not believing her for a second and Valentina held her hands in defeat. "I guess I'll just have to dance by myself," Valentina pouted, taking off her shoes and socks. She undid the tight bun as her long dark locks fell behind her back like a waterfall. She had pressed a song on her phone and it blared through the speakers of the radio. It was an instrumental song, filled with the sounds of guitars, harps, violins, and the clapping of hands all in harmony. The music was filled with so much emotion and soul that Yui's skin had begun to form goosebumps. She stared at Valentina who was standing straight, chin lifted, showing a face filled with brimming strength.

Valentina raised her arched arms above her head, her thumb and middle finger slightly bent in an open circle. She moved her wrists in a smooth, almost delicate motion following the tranquil rhythm of the song. The sounds of drums and clapping slowly began to augment into a crescendo, and Valentina tapped her feet to the beat and brought her arms down and started to clap in a steady tune. Moving her hands up and down, she swayed her head back and forth with each clap as her gold bracelets jingled. The sound of the violins and guitars became present and Valentina twirled, causing her hair to fly in all directions, adorning her face as she stopped to lift her arms above her head. Her movements becoming strong and dominant. She stretched backwards in a spectacular backbend, throwing her head back, and snapped her body back into a straight pose, her hair falling to her face. She lifted her arms, turning her wrists in a fluid motion. She locked her eyes with Yui, her gaze almost piercing her soul. Yui felt that her breath had left her, as she placed a hand to her chest at witnessing such raw emotion being expressed. It was beautiful, dangerous, alluring even. The song died down, and to Yui's surprise Valentina grabbed her hand and gave her a twirl.

"What did you think?" Valentina asked, grinning from ear to ear.

"You dance beautifully," Yui said, at a loss for words. "Who taught you?"

"My mothers' actually, well, one taught me to dance freely just by listening to the beat while the other taught me to dance formally," Valentina said, brushing her hair out of the way. "My mother Nana was a ballet dancer, and she taught me pointe."

Yui was surprised, "You have two mothers?" She would never judge anyone, but she never met anyone who had parents of the same gender.

Valentina nodded her head. "Well technically they're my godmother, and my doncella, but they raised me, so to me they're my mothers'. Even if they aren't biologically. That doesn't matter to me."

Yui smiled understandingly. "I was adopted too. My father is a priest and he raised me by himself under the guidance of the church. I never actually met my birth parents, I don't even know what they look like, or if they miss me."

Valentina hugged Yui sensing her hurt. "Well they missed out on meeting such a great person. I'm sure your father is lucky to have you."

Yui gave a pained smile and Valentina asked what was wrong, with a look of worry in her eyes. Yui explained that her father was away on business, most likely a religious retreat, he never did tell her. She shuddered, telling her that she was made to live with acquaintances of her father.

Valentina frowned, not wanting to pry but wondering if Yui was getting mistreated.

If only she knew, that wasn't even half of it.

"You know, you can sleep over at my place anytime you want," Valentina offered. "I'm still settling in, but it would be nice if we could have sleepovers."

Yui smiled, but then hesitated. "I don't think I'd be allowed."

Valentina thought that since Yui's father was a man of the cloth, his acquaintances would be strict. They were probably old grumpy folks, who didn't let a young girl like Yui have any fun. "My invite will always be there." She smiled, sitting down as she pulled Yui towards her. The blonde yelped and fell on top of her. They both giggled. Valentina pulled a scrunchie from her book bag and asked if Yui could braid her hair. Yui took the scrunchie and sat behind her, running her fingers through her hair.

"You have such thick hair," Yui said, "I'm jealous, it's so long too."

"Grow your hair out, it's such a pretty shade of blonde." Valentina complimented her, sincerely meaning it. "If I was a blonde I wouldn't know how to act. God needed to humble me in some form."

Yui burst out laughing leaning her head on her back. Valentina grabbed her phone and asked Yui what song she wanted to listen to.

"You pick a song, your music tastes are evidently way better than mine," recalling the captivating dance.

Valentina shrugged, scrolling down at her playlist. "Have you heard of Prince Royce?"

"Who's that?" Yui asked, the artist's name not ringing a bell. Valentina quickly whipped her head around in shock.

"Yui you have not lived! That man's voice is gorgeous." Valentina quickly put on one of his bachata songs and began to sway her body as Yui finished braiding her hair. She turned around, excitingly asking her what she thought of him. Yui couldn't speak Spanish, but she liked the rhythm.

"I wish I could understand what he was saying," Yui sighed, getting up as Valentina pulled her to her feet.

"He's talking about the little things that make him feel loved. A hug, a look, a simple 'I love you'. He's quite the romantic."

Yui agreed, liking the message behind it. "Could you teach me to dance, just a little."

Valentina smiled, "of course! That's why I played the song."

Valentina placed her hand on Yui's waist and told her that she was the man, that she would lead her. Yui nodded her head, and listened to her instructions on where to move. She had to kick off her shoes because she accidentally stepped on Valentina's feet twice. She managed to get the hang of it, and she liked it everytime Valentina twirled her.

"There you see! You're getting it!" Valentina said, cheering her on. She would never admit it, but Yui had two left feet. Valentina was happy that the blonde was trying. She noticed that Yui was the type to get nervous and doubt herself a lot, what she needed was a sense of encouragement. The song had finished and Yui had the biggest smile on her face.

"That was really fun," Yui said, catching her breath a little.

"Glad you thought so." Valentina smiled, slipping on her shoes as she heard the bell ring for lunch. "I'm starving, let's go eat!" Pulling the blonde as they left the music room in a small fit of giggles.

Unbeknownst to them a very drowsy individual had been sleeping under the piano watching intently at their interaction. The lazy man's interest piqued at the bubbly display of affection he had witnessed between the sacrificial bride and the strange girl. He had taken off his headphones, a grand feat that the girl had unknowingly caused just so he could hear the music that was being played. The combination of instruments was captivating, as he opened one eye and found the girl dancing like a nymph would in a field of ripe wheat. The sacrificial bride stared in awe. He would've too, just not as openly as Yui did, he was able to look composed at all times, while the look of admiration was clearly etched on her face. The girl's dancing had interpreted every mood in the song, transmitting the deepest sorrow and joy. He was bewitched, and had wanted to see more, but she had stopped after the first song, and they began to talk.

He grunted, he didn't care for petty conversation and begrudgingly put in his headphones, upset at having to exert energy. Once he heard them getting ready to leave, it was obvious that Yui was smitten by the new girl, and it wouldn't take long for her to follow her around like a lost puppy. Shuu could only smirk to himself, his brothers would surely be upset at having their little toy taken away. All he could do was sit back and wait for how things would unfold. He wouldn't bother to interfere, unless it affected him. He didn't care if the sacrificial doll befriended anyone, only if she didn't run away. He said it for her sake, he wouldn't care if she did, but he certainly wouldn't make the effort to go after her. He couldn't say the same for his brothers, they weren't so lax on their prey. Ayato had a hard time sharing, so he would make it clear one way or another to get her to back away from Yui. Shuu was pretty sure that was the reason Yui wasn't able to make friends. He was a possessive freak, he wouldn't put it past him that Ayato was to blame for the girl's loneliness. There would be trouble brewing, Shuu knew, but he didn't mind if the dancing nymph was the one to start it. If she knew what was good for her, she'd stay away, he thought to himself as he drifted to sleep.

Yui and Valentina made it to the cafeteria as they sat in the back in the corner by themselves.

"Wow, this place is huge," Valentina looked amazed at the interior of the cafeteria unpacking her lunch. "I feel like I'm at some grand hotel, not a high school cafeteria."

"It takes some time getting used to," Yui admitted, remembering how shocked she was when she had first stepped foot in this place.

"I thought the cafeteria's food was going to be gross, but it looks like a gourmet meal," Valentina said, eyeing Yui's delicious looking penne rosa. Yui pushed the tray towards her asking if she wanted it. Valentina quickly opposed not wanting to take Yui's lunch, but she would share if it was alright with her. She showed Yui the green tamales that Nana had packed her, and Yui took one, and placed it on her plate unwrapping the husk. Valentina grabbed a fork and twirled the pasta, as they both took a bite of the other's food. They both agreed that each dish was delicious.

"These tamales are so good!" Yui exclaimed, taking another bite. It was a tad spicy, but the flavor was delicious. She was happy that she had met Valentina, she felt normal around her, and it made her forget some of the bad that she had to endure. If only everyday could be like this, Yui would be happy, but sooner or later she knew that one of them would come looking to torment her. Unknowingly a pair of angry green eyes had been observing them from a distance.

"If you think that's good, try this!" Valentina with her used fork held a piece of mango to Yui's lips, the mango was covered in some form of powder. "Trust me, it's good."

Yui didn't want to seem hesitant so she closed her eyes and took a bite. The flavors began to hit her, as she chewed. It tasted sweet, tangy, and spicy all at once.

"Goodness," Yui said, putting a hand to her mouth. "It's really good!"

"Told you," Valentina said, playfully sticking out her tongue as she grabbed a piece herself. "The chilly powdered stuff is Tajin, it goes well with a lot of fruit." She held another piece with her fork and was going to feed Yui again when she heard a lunch tray slam next to her, causing her to drop the fork on the table as it startled them both. Valentina looked to her left to find the boy from her homeroom class taking a seat next to her. She gave Yui a puzzled look, while the blonde looked at her with fear.

"Hi Kanato," Valentina said, grabbing her fork and wiping the fallen piece of mango on a napkin. "What's going on?" She wondered why the purple haired boy had wanted to sit next to them, she thought he didn't like her after their earlier interaction. She gazed back at Yui who had remained awfully quiet, watching anxiously.

"No reason, Teddy just wanted to come and sit here," Kanato said, as if it was obvious, placing his teddy bear to his left.

"Well, you and Teddy are welcome to join us, as you can see there's a lot of empty seats."

Kanato ignored her, and told her not to refer to Teddy with such familiarity. He turned back to his tray and began to stab at the pile of cookies that were placed on his plate. Valentina flinched at his aggression, he sure was an odd one. Kanato noticed and smiled eerily at her.

"You know, it's not nice to ignore and leave someone who was trying to help you," Kanato said, referring to their earlier interaction. He decided he would break her after discussing it with Teddy. Her scent was too intoxicating to pass up, if the sacrificial doll had been claimed by one of his insufferable brother's he didn't find a reason why he couldn't have one all to himself. She wasn't an eyesore, and looked more competent than that fool sitting across from her.

"Sorry," Valentina apologized, "I didn't mean to come off that way. It just seemed that you didn't want to be distrubed, that's why I took up Yui's offer."

Kanato gave Yui an irritated look, as if she were scum beneath his shoe. "Don't bother with that worm," Kanato said calmly, as he picked up a broken piece of cookie and nibbled it innocently.

Valentina's mouth gapped at what she heard him say. "That was awfully rude! Don't say those things about her." Valentina said, in an annoyed tone. She looked at Yui, but the blonde wouldn't meet her gaze.

"Oh, did that hit a nerve," Kanato replied, giggling lightly at her reaction. "You shouldn't bother with her really. She's just a little mouse without a bite, she isn't at all that interesting if you ask me."

Valentina scoffed, getting up and grabbing Yui's hand so they could leave. But before they could, the redhead from class had come out of nowhere and pulled Yui from her grasp as he stared at her with irritation.

"Don't touch what belongs to Your's Truly," he said, baring his teeth at her. Valentina had a double take, two of his teeth looked awfully pointy.

"Who the hell are you!" Valentina shot back, she didn't know him, but she could already tell that she hated him, annoyed that he had referred to Yui as some object. Their squabbling had led to the people around them to stare at their scuffle. Kanato calmly sipped his tea as he observed her, he was quite pleased that she retorted back at Ayato. It always made him giddy when someone talked back to his brothers, seeing their annoyed expressions gave him a kick that would last him throughout the day. How he would love to see them get cut up into pieces, but that would have to wait another day.

"Mind your business you stupid mortal." He tugged at Yui's wrist forcing her to walk, but Yui had started to complain. Why couldn't she just shut up and obey him? Was that too much to ask? He already gave her the time of day to talk to the Jalapeño. What was so great about her anyway? Why couldn't Yui look at him like that? He gripped her wrist until he heard a whimper, annoyed that she had spent so much time with her, and was even eating lunch with the Hysteric on top of that. She should be following him around instead.

"Ayato let go," Yui pleaded, looking at him with those terrified eyes. He gave her a smirk, at her futile attempt. He guessed he had let her spend too much time with the Jalapeño, now she thought she could grow a backbone out of nowhere. He would make sure to teach her to not keep Your's Truly waiting. He'll make her cry and beg, and suck her blood good, that'll teach her from disobeying him.

Ayato was practically dragging Yui, and that irked Valentina watching the redhead think he had some power over her. Kanato hugged his teddy and continued to nibble on his cookies in anticipation, thoroughly entertained. Valentina walked up to Ayato and told him to let Yui go.

Ayato was already pissed, "Move it bitch!" He released Yui from his grip and was ready to pull Valentina to the side and slam her on a nearby table hoping to crack a few of her ribs; but before he could get the chance to, she had bent back avoiding his swift grasp and lunged forward, surprising him as she punched him in the face. She had actually managed to connect her fist to the side of his cheek, and he staggered back a bit. The punch didn't hurt, but he was surprised that a mere mortal had managed to touch him, even humiliate him. He was seething as he heard the school cafeteria burst out in laughter, and his brother laughing the loudest of them all. He clenched his teeth making sure to remember to hide that stupid bear of his and see who was the one laughing. Ayato got up, deciding that he would rip her head off; but before she could give him the chance to, she had escaped taking Yui and the Hysteric with her.

Valentina was running as quickly as she could down the hallways holding Yui's and Kanato's hand. She couldn't believe what she had done. She was a good girl honest to God she was; but that guy would have certainly killed her if she didn't react. His face was strong and she felt that she had punched a brick wall, her hand definitely damaged. They had reached the music room, the only place she knew and could remember, and they walked in as Valentina locked the door sliding against the wall in relief at having escaped. Kanato was still laughing hysterically and she wondered why she had bothered to take him along after he had been so rude to them. Yui was frightened and looked on edge. She gasped when she saw Valentina's hand exclaiming that she needed to go to the nurse. Her knuckles were turning purple, and there were tiny beads of blood forming. Yui walked over to her and asked if she was alright.

"It just bothers me when I move my fingers, but I should be fine" Valentina reassured, "my knuckles are just bruised that's all." She was gently rubbing her hand when Kanato had reached out to grab her injury causing her to hiss in pain much to Yui's horror.

"Wait Kanato-kun–"

"Does it hurt?" Kanato said, cutting Yui off as he looked at her wound ominously, his lilac eyes glowing in interest.

"Yes it hurts!" Valentina exclaimed, trying to pull her hand away as he began to rub her knuckles aggressively, smearing the beads of blood on his thumb. What kind of ridiculous question was that?

"It stinks in here," Kanato said defensively, retracting his hand turning at the culprit.

Valentina turned around to find a guy slumped on the wall inches to her right. He appeared to be sleeping. Yui looked a little relieved, her small prayer seemed to have been semi-fulfilled, even if it was Shuu, she didn't think he'd allow them to end up as Kanato's snacks.

Kanato shot Shuu a dirty look at being rudely interrupted. While the girls hovered over the sleeping Shuu, Kanato brought his hand to his mouth and licked his thumb that was smudged in her blood. He smiled darkly. It was good, it was better than good in fact. He usually didn't have a taste for spicy foods, but her blood carried a hint of spice that was enveloped in a velvety sweetness that managed to warm his stomach. He let out a low growl that was only audible to Shuu to let him know that he had pissed him off. If it wasn't for him, he would've sucked her dry.

"Is he okay?" Valentina asked Yui, shaking the blonde boy awake. How he appeared out of nowhere was oddly bizarre, maybe she hadn't noticed him after they entered the room; but she had sworn the music room was empty when they had entered. She deduced it was the adrenaline getting to her.

"Tch, so noisy," Shuu mumbled, opening one of his eyes at her. He stared at her lazily, she was taller than he had imagined. She easily towered an inch or two over Kanato, even without her shoes. He could smell the aroma of her blood that was dripping down her hand. He wondered how she managed to do that. It wasn't Kanato, or else those two would have been cowering in fear at the mere presence of being near him. He had heard a low growl coming from him and with one eye open he looked at the peeved man child clutching that grotesque bear of his. Seeming that he had ruined his fun, Shuu smirked as he turned his face towards the injured hand that had woken him and he gave it a quick lick clean of blood. He could hear the bride gasp, and Kanato having a fit exclaiming how his brothers always took his things away, but she had just retracted her hand back looking at him with confusion, not quite the reaction he was hoping.

"You know you shouldn't do that, it isn't hygienic." Valentina stared at her hand and noticed that the small cut had healed almost instantly. If Shuu had the energy to laugh he would've. Were all mortals dense and trusting? Here she was nagging him about blood having STDs and diseases, not knowing she had fallen prey to them. He licked his teeth showing off his teeth just to get her to quiet down, maybe she'd take the hint.

Valentina's head shrunk back, curious that guy had canines for teeth. She foolishly reached out as if to touch them, when Kanato had quickly pulled her wrist back with so much force that she fell on her butt away from the sleeping man.

"You foolish woman, do you want to have your hand ripped off?" Kanato seethed, annoyed that she paid so much attention to Shuu's fangs. It made his blood boil, his teeth were just as nice. He would make sure that she'd get a feel for them as soon as they were alone, she would definitely cry to get him to stop. The simple thought pleased Kanato. Valentina stood up and snatched her wrist from his grasp giving him a weird look. He sure had some unstable mood swings; one minute he's aggravated, the next he's laughing like some lunatic and now he's grinning like a happy little boy. It made her skin prick, there was something off about him.

At that moment the music room's door had broken open, Ayato had stomped on the lock doors cracking the thick wood to pieces. Yui gave a scared yelp, hiding behind Valentina. Kanato gave an annoyed look at having another one of his brothers join them. Why couldn't he have some time alone with his new toy?

"You bitch!" Ayato snarled, pointing a finger to Valentina's face. "I finally found you!"

Shuu sighed, he wouldn't be able to get any sleep with all this racket that Ayato had created. Her blood was definitely a delicacy, one of the highest quality he has tasted. It had a distinct taste to the bride's, but unlike Yui's which was purely sweet, hers had flair to it. If she had already managed to catch the eye of one of his brother's it was only a matter of time before she'd become warped by their needy diabolical ways. No one would be able to help her now. Then again, if she managed to piss off Ayato then she wasn't some defenseless lamb either.

Ayato seized the girl's forearm crushing it, he heard a muffled whimper from her and he relished the feeling. He wanted her to beg him, to plead for her worthless life that he was in possession of. With a simple flick of the wrist he could snap her bone in two. He would've if it wasn't for Yui rushing over and throwing herself at him.

"Ayato please stop!" She cried, begging him to let her go, but he continued to ignore her.

"Pancake, this wouldn't have happened if you had stayed with me," Ayato replied darkly, pushing Yui harshly to the floor. "I want her to beg for her fucking life." It didn't matter if she did, he would still snap her bone like a twig. He just wanted to see her grovel at his feet. She was already on her knees now she just had to admit how wrong she was to have humiliated him like that.

Valentina looked up and gave him an unwavering stare, tears streaming down her face. She wasn't about to kiss his feet, her eyes almost daring him to do it. Ayato grinded his teeth irritated, he lifted his hand ready to slap her, when Kanato had grabbed his wrist out of nowhere, prohibiting him from touching her, and then lifted him by his throat. It caused Ayato to let go of her as he quickly dug his nails into Kanato's forearm hoping to loosen his grip.

"Don't touch my toy," Kanato hissed, throwing him harshly across the room. Ayato was slammed into the mortar wall causing a loud thud that shook the entire room. Yui rushed over to Valentina and hugged her.

"I'm fine, I'm fine," Valentina whispered in a frenzy as the blonde engulfed her in a worried embrace. She flinched when Yui made contact with her injured hand, it looked worse than before, her entire forearm was turning a different shade of purple. "I think I might've sprained my wrist." Yui had let her go, carefully inspecting her injury. She nodded slowly, agreeing with her.

"You should get out of here," Shuu warned, not bothering to open his eyes. "Before he gets here."

Valentina was going to ask who, but Yui pulled her to her feet knowing full well who he was talking about. Valentina didn't want to leave Kanato alone, but she was surprised to see the not so sickly boy stand his own against the redhead. Their speed and strength were abnormal, it shouldn't be possible for them to be moving like that. Valentina wanted to ask Yui what they were, but a dark haired guy appeared out of thin air with a crossed look on his face. Ayato and Kanato seemed to stop fighting after he had shown up. The music room was a complete disaster; there were hole punches on the wall, a broken piano, and a chandelier had managed to shatter on the floor.

The man pushed his glasses up in disgust. "What the hell is going on." Looking at Ayato and Kanato, then his gaze lingered on them.

"You," he said, staring at Valentina, "what's your name?" He could care less what had befallen the mortal, but it seemed that she was only one injured. If this stupid woman where to die at this school, he didn't want their reputation to be smeared for something as insignificant as her.

"Reiji, she needs to see a nurse," Yui meekly said, "I think her wrist might be sprained."

Reiji eyed the bride with disdain. "I will not repeat myself again. What is your name?"

"Valentina Espinosa de la Cruz," she said, trying not to seem shaken up.

It seemed that Reiji made a mental note of it, and then looked distastefully at two of the triplets. "What are you guys doing destroying school property! This is low, even for you two. Can one of you care to explain what you're doing?"

Ayato stared at Reiji with irritation, pointing at Valentina saying that she had started it. Reiji raised an eyebrow, and asked him to explain. He told him that she had taken away Pancake from him, and she made a fuss about it at the cafeteria after he came to get her back. He wanted to teach her a lesson, but she ran away. Reiji sighed, there were obvious holes in Ayato's story, but he would question him about it later. He turned to Kanato and asked him why he was fighting Ayato. His doe lilac eyes peered at Valentina and simply replied that Ayato had touched his toy. Reiji understood, Kanato could get emotional over his things, let it be his belongings or food. In this case it had been a blood bag that Kanato felt he had control over. He would have to remind Kanato that if he wanted to suck some worthless human dry he would have to choose one that didn't go to this school. He pinched the bridge of his nose, my did he get tired of picking up after his brothers. He turned around to face Shuu, venom dripping from his voice as to why he didn't stop the two brothers from destroying the room. Shuu had simply shrugged saying he was too tired. Reiji gave him a look of disgust, and then directed his anger toward the girls.

"Evidently this was started in some way or another because of you," Reiji said, directing the blame of misfortune to the crippled human. "You will not speak of this incident to anyone, and Yui will accompany you to the nurse's office. Do I make myself clear?"

"Crystal," Valentina grunted, getting up as Yui helped her slide on her shoes that had fallen off after Ayato had dragged her. She felt angsty under this man's gaze, his soul was filled with so much anger and hate it made her want to shudder but she refrain from doing so. Unlike the others, this man wouldn't hesitate to pick at her weaknesses. Who was he? She had wondered if he had control over the others. Before they could get up to leave, he had told her to stop.

"Let me see your class schedule."

Valentina was puzzled, how did he know she was new? She didn't hesitate and handed him her sheet.

Reiji smiled ominously, and turned to Shuu. "You both have calculus together," he faced Valentina and told her she had to take him to class with her or else he'd make sure to get her expelled from this school. Valentina gasped at the ridiculous threat.

"Are you serious?" She was injured and annoyed that he had blamed her for the destruction, and now he was making her babysit some school slacker to get him to go to class. This was not how her first day was supposed to go.

"I thought I made myself clear," Reiji said, approaching her in the blink of an eye staring down at her. Valentina was about to talk back, but Yui held her hand almost to stop her from talking back. Yui told her that she would help. Valentina slowly nodded her head, and turned to look at Shuu.

"Don't move." She was in no mood to go searching for him, and be late to class. Shuu just smirked and continued to sleep. They had walked away avoiding the debris of wood and loose mortar that cluttered the floor. After they had left Reiji turned to the two brothers and told them to go home. Ayato was pissed, he had wanted to stay with Yui or at least take her home with him, but Reiji shot him a dangerous look; reminding him that he was going to clean up this mess and talk to the school so they wouldn't inform "him" of the situation. Ayato grumbled, and agreed to leave, but Pancake was going to pay ten-fold for what she did.
