Chapter 43

"Do you remember when our anniversaries were us going to an expensive dinner, exchanging lavish gifts, and having wild and crazy sex all night?" Brittany whispered.

Santana looked up from dabbing a cold towel across Taylor's forehead, as her daughter slept on her chest. "Yes, that was just last year." She laughed softly. "But we're moms and we are spending our anniversary nursing one kid with a fever and the other that won't stop vomiting her life away. Seriously, what did you eat at school?"

Brittany rubbed Skylar's back, who was asleep on her lap, and smiled. "Is it weird that I think this is the best anniversary we have ever had?"

"All of our plans got canceled." Santana frowned. "I didn't get a chance to pick up your gift today because I had to rush to Taylor's school and pick her up so everything got thrown off. I didn't even get to pick up your flowers because Sky was so whiny with her fever.."

Brittany leaned over and kissed her on the cheek. "It's okay, baby."

Santana smiled. "Even though we aren't eating the surf and turf dinner we planned, the frozen pizza and microwave popcorn is the better meal tonight."

She checked Taylor's neck for a fever and stared at her face as it scrunched up and her eyes popped open. She quickly scooped her up and ran to the bathroom just as Taylor started to vomit again, Santana catching it with her hand before leaning her over the toilet.

"Did you make it?" Brittany called out, running her fingers through Skylar's hair, the baby waking and staring at her. "Go back to sleep, baby girl." She told her, grabbing a blanket and tossing it over her.

"Momma." Skylar sniffled and hugged her tightly.

"I'm right here, go back to sleep." Brittany replied. "I won't let you go." She reached over and grabbed a pacifier for her, extending her hand to the baby, who stared at it and grabbed it slowly, holding it tightly and staring at it before finally sticking it in her mouth.

"Yeah, we made it." Santana yelled back, filing a cup with water to get ready for Taylor after washing her hands. "Don't struggle honey, let it come up, it won't hurt as much." She rubbed her back before flushing the toilet when she heard Taylor exhale deeply, a sign that she was done. "Okay, let's drink some water, swish it around your mouth first and spit it out."

Taylor nodded and allowed Santana to help her stand up, and lean on the sink. "Okay."

Once she rinsed her mouth out Santana picked her back up and carried her back to their bedroom where Brittany was humming to Skylar, who was now standing on her lap and leaning on her shoulder, hugging her tightly around the neck. "Is she asleep like that?" Santana laughed, sitting back in bed and letting Taylor straddle her and lay back on her chest. She noticed the pacifier now in Skylar's hand and sighed but knew it was because she wasn't feeling well and decided to let it go.

Brittany nodded. "She's so irritable and uncomfortable, poor thing, I feel bad for her." She reached over and helped Santana pull the cover over Taylor, who was staring at Brittany. "How are you feeling, kiddo?"

"Not too good." Taylor sighed.

"Well, how about you sleep in here with us tonight, okay?" Brittany told her, feeling her cheek and leaning down to kiss her, Skylar whining when she was shifted.

"Okay."

Santana glanced at Skylar and scrunched her nose at the baby, who was staring at her and blushed slightly. "You need to lay down so you feel better." She told her daughter in Spanish, the baby stared at her and shook her head, sticking her pacifier in her mouth and tightening her grab on Brittany, who kissed her on the cheek.

"Momma."

"You can stay with your momma, but you need to lay down." Santana told her softly as Taylor shifted in her lap and exhaled softly. "Lay down like your Tay."

Skylar stared at Taylor before mimicking her and straddling Brittany, resting on her chest. "Momma."

"I'm right here." Brittany told her softly, rubbing her back. "Go back to sleep."

30 minutes later both girls were fast asleep again, Santana glanced at Brittany and saw she was asleep as well, now laying down with Skylar, the baby flushing on her. She smiled at her wife and leaned over, peppering kisses to her face. "Happy anniversary, Brit, finishing the night with you and the girls in bed, definitely makes this the best anniversary ever. All that matters is that I got to tell you I loved you as much as possible, and I gotta to watch you be an amazing mom to the girls tonight." She kissed Brittany on the lips softly, and stared at her with a dopey smile before sliding down carefully with Taylor and turning out the lamp. She kissed Taylor on the forehead and closed her eyes to fall asleep herself.

Saturday 10am

Brittany handed Skylar her breadstick and set her on the couch, "watch TV with Tay." She told the baby, who nodded and crawled closer to her sister. Taylor smiled and lifted Skylar in her lap, kissing her on the cheek. "Keep an eye on your sister for me please." She told her, handing her an applesauce pouch for the baby, and a small bottle of warm ginger ale.

"Keep drinking so your stomach settles down a little more."

"Okay momma." Taylor nodded and opened the pouch for Skylar, who wrapped her little hand around it, trying to help. Brittany went back to the kitchen and grabbed two cups of coffee, carrying one to the office off the kitchen where Santana was on the computer. "Hey baby, I made some more coffee."

"Thanks, baby." Santana replied, her eyes still on the computer screen, she kissed Brittany on the cheek when she leaned over her chair and hugged her over her back.

"What are you up to?" Brittany asked her.

"Updating my resume." Santana replied. "Are the girls okay?"

"Yeah, I just gave Sky a breadstick and Taylor a ginger ale for her stomach."

Brittany told her. "Going to submit your resume to some hospitals?"

Santana turned around and grabbed Brittany, pulling her into her lap and hugged her before taking a sip of her coffee. "Yeah, I think it's time for me to get back to work, you're still okay with me going back to work, right?"

"Of course." Brittany replied immediately, cupping Santana's face and looking in her eyes. "Yes." She added. "We are looking at daycares for Sky this week too, I'm going to rearrange my meetings and lunches so we can pick together."

"Sounds good." Santana blushed. "Life is coming together down here."

"Yes it is."

"Ready to get the girls dressed and do some shopping for this dinner tonight?" Santana asked. "We told the Jackon's around 6 for dinner and I want to make sure Sky has a nap before they get here."

"Okay." Brittany replied.

After Santana submitted her resume to a few hospitals she gave Skylar a warm bath before dressing her in a pair of blue jean overalls, a long sleeve white tshirt, and had her wear a pink Northface zip fleece with her pink converse, the toddler getting upset by all the clothes she had on and whinied until Brittany picked her up and attempted to rock her to sleep while walking through the house until they were ready to leave.

Once they reached the store, Santana pushed the cart, Taylor standing on the bar, leaning back on chest while they shopped, holding the IPad with the grocery list on it tightly. Brittany walked beside the pair, holding Skylar's hand, the toddler holding her Snoopy in the other hand while she looked around and babbled while Brittany sang nursery rhymes to her, Skylar trying to sing along, occasionally looking at her mother and smiling.

Santana glanced at Skylar when she heard her scream out and point to a butterfly on a box of cereal and smiled. She watched Brittany pick her up and kiss her on the cheek, setting the stuffed animal in the cart and picking up her sippy cup with Pedialyte in it, handing it to her. "How about we roast a chicken?" Santana asked.

Brittany shook her head. "No, that's not really a dinner party meal."

"This isn't a dinner party." Santana frowned. "We are just meeting the girl's parents."

"We have to make a really good impression." Brittany told her softly.

Santana raised an eyebrow at her and cleared her throat. "Tay, pick out some cereal with Sky."

Taylor nodded and jumped up, just as Brittany set Skylar down, reaching for Taylor to pick her up right away. Santana watched the pair walk a little ways down the aisle, Taylor pointing out different cereals and explaining what they taste like to the baby, who listened carefully and furrowed her eyebrows as she stared at the boxes to her sister, repeating the action with each box.

"We aren't going to puff out our chests at these people and humbly brag about ourselves so we look and feel like we are better than them." Santana shook her head. "No."

Brittany glanced at her phone and shrugged. "That's not what I'm doing."

"Yes it is." Santana replied as their daughters walked back, each holding a box of cereal. "We'll talk later."

Brittany rolled her eyes but nodded, slipping her phone back in her pocket and reaching for Skylar, who leaned on her shoulder right away. "How about salmon?"

Santana rocked side to side before shrugging and nodding in agreement. "Salmon works, I can roast some veggies with it and make some garlic bread or something."

"Mami." Skylar whined, reaching for Santana, who grabbed her and felt her neck and head for a fever.

"You need a nap, I don't want you to get whiny." She told her daughter, who shuffled in her arms and exhaled deeply as she laid on her shoulder. "Asparagus or should I saute some broccoli?"

Brittany wrapped her arm around Taylor as she pushed the cart so Santana could hold Skylar more comfortably. "Let's do asparagus, and broccoli for Sky."

"No broc." Skylar shook her head quickly.

"You like broccoli." Santana reminded her. "Mami makes it special just for you, so you like it. Okay."

"Kay." Skylar nodded with a smile.

"Okay." Santana nodded firmly to her, kissing her on the forehead, and rubbing her back hoping to get her to fall asleep, but she remained wide awake, holding the Latina tightly around the neck while looking around the store as they shopped. "Do we need lunch stuff for Tay for next week?" She asked Brittany.

"Yes, deli meat for sandwiches, bread, and ..." Brittany began to list.

"Can I have lettuce on my sandwich?" Taylor asked.

"Sure, baby, we can get some lettuce." Santana nodded. "Do you have enough chips at home?" Taylor shrugged as Brittany pointed to applesauce pouches on the shelf, Santana grabbing some for Skylar, giving her one to hold right away. "Don't open it." She told her softly when she say her trying to take the top off. "Just hold it for mami."

"Hold it." Skylar nodded and laid back on her shoulder.

"Si, hold it for mami." Santana nodded. "Ummmm, we need cookies for Tay's lunch, and fruit, shit we should have just made a full grocery list."

"Well, let's get what we remember, and we can come back another day."

Brittany suggested, rubbing Taylor's back as she looked at the Teddy Grahams, trying to decide which flavor both her and Sky would like. "Get one for yourself and one for Sky." Brittany told her.

"Get Sky the honey ones." Santana said quickly. "I know you like cinnamon and I don't want her eating those just yet, she eats the cinnamon graham crackers and that's enough."

"Okay." Taylor smiled, laughing when Brittany quickly tossed in a box of chocolate chip ones for herself.

Brittany was laying on the floor holding a Babrie doll when Skylar quickly snatched it and threw it down, handing her mother a different one instead. "This."

"Gentle with your babies." Brittany told her, rubbing the doll she was now holding on the head. "You want me to be this Barbie?"

Skylar stared at the doll she threw and picked it up, patting it on the head and setting it down gently, smiling at Brittany.

"Good job." Brittany winked at her, lifting the Barbie and beginning to move

it around, Skylar mimicking her with a smile.

Santana walked in and sighed, smiling at the pair for a moment. "B, a little help would be nice."

Brittany kissed Skylar on the cheek and set the Barbie in her lap. "Momma will be back, okay?"

"Kay." Skylar nodded, picking up the Barbie and having the two face each other, her beginning to babble to make them talk.

"You wanted this dinner, not me." Santana reminded her wife as she chopped a head of lettuce for a salad. "A little help would be nice, I know you don't want to help cook and that's fine, I don't mind cooking, but I shouldn't have to do all the prep alone."

Brittany kissed her on the cheek and nodded before washing her hands. "You're right, I'm sorry. Lemme make the salad."

Santana stepped to the side as Skylar ran in the kitchen, and tripped into Santana's leg, which broke her fall. She glanced at her daughter and laughed to herself. "No running, be careful."

Sky looked up at her and smiled before running out of the kitchen and this time bumping into Taylor, who kissed her on the cheek and walked deeper in the kitchen. "Do I have to play with Brynn when she comes over?"

Santana looked up from creating the marinade on the salmon and nodded. "Well, her family will be our guest, and we treat every guest with respect." She replied, glancing at Skylar, who was now standing on Brittany's foot, holding her leg tightly while the blonde moved her leg around playfully. "You can show her your room or play in the sunroom with the puppies."

"Whoa!" Skylar smiled as Brittany lifted her leg higher, giving her a ride.

"Whoa." Brittany mimicked, winking at the baby. "Hold on tight, okay?"

"Kay." Skylar nodded and tightened her hold.

"Why don't you go get dressed for dinner, honey, brush your teeth and wash your face since you just woke up from a nap." Santana told her. "It'll be okay, honey, I promise."

"Pwomise." Skylar mimicked with a smile.

"Come on Sky." Taylor extended her hand to her little sister, who stared at it but jumped off Brittany's leg and ran over to her.

"You have such a lovely home." Cassidy Jackson, Brynn's mother smiled as Santana led them in the living room where she had coffee and tea waiting.

"Thank you, we are still getting settled in kind of, but we're getting there." Santana smiled as Brittany walked in the living room with her daughters, holding Skylar's hand, fresh from a diaper change.

"New diap." Skylar announced with a big smile while waving at the family. "Cean now! No poop!"

Cassidy smiled at Skylar. "Hi sweetheart."

Santana turned around quickly and laughed. "Sorry, diaper changes are a big thing with us lately I guess." She gave Sky a thumbs up when the baby clapped. "This is my wife, Brittany, Brit, this is Cassidy and Marshall Jackson, Brynn's parents."

"Oh, sorry, I didn't realize the time." Brittany blushed, wiping her hand on her pants leg and extending her hand to shake theirs, which they quickly did.

"And this is our youngest Skylar, and this is Taylor." Santana continued.

"One, two, twee, fo.." Skylar began to count with a smile, staring at the family, who all smiled brightly back at her, clapping and praising her.

"Okay, you're friendly this afternoon." Santana laughed, picking her up as Brittany led them deeper into the house. "Please have a seat, there's some coffee and some tea, cream and sugar to the side. If you want decaf I can make some of that as well."

"This is fine." Marshall replied.

"Tay, why don't you show Brynn the puppies?" Santana suggested.

"They are wound up right now from outside." Brittany shook her head. "Take her up to your room, Tay, and take your sister please."

Skylar stared at Brynn, a scowl on her face, as Taylor grabbed her hand and led them upstairs.

"So.." Cassidy smiled. "I feel like we are all pretty tense, and I don't want it to be this way at all. I remember seeing you both at the birthday party a few weeks ago and I remember thinking how cute you were with Taylor."

Brittany narrowed her eyes and exhaled deeply, taking a sip of the coffee that Santana poured for her. "Well, I'll get straight to the point, I don't like that Taylor was not only slapped but pushed down some stairs by your daughter because her moms are married."

Marshall raised an eyebrow at Brittany. "Well according to the testimony by a number of students, Taylor pushed her first."

"Because your daughter taunted her." Brittany snapped back.

Brynn stood by the door as Taylor sat on her bed, Skylar standing between the two of them, staring at Brynn, before walking closer to Taylor and leaning on her leg.

"You can have a seat." Taylor told her politely. "Umm, the window seat is pretty cool, or you can sit on the recliner, or at the desk. Your choice."

Brynn smiled and walked deeper in the room. "I like the pictures in your room, do you miss being in New York, that's where you're from right?" She asked looking around at the black and white pictures of the statue of liberty and the New York skyline, a big one of Time Squares over her bed.

Taylor nodded. "Yeah, I miss my best friend Berkeley."

Skylar stared at Brynn carefully, frowning when she picked up the picture frame of Taylor and Berkeley. She ran over and shook her head quickly. "Tay's!" She yelled, while reaching for it.

"It's okay, Sky." Taylor told her quickly. "She can look at it, come here."

Skylar turned at looked at her big sister before walking back over when Taylor opened her arms to her, she leaned on her big sisters leg and glared at Brynn, watching her carefully as she looked at various trinkets on Taylor's desk.

"Sorry for slapping you and pushing you." Brynn told her softly. "I didn't mean to hurt you."

"Well you did." Taylor snapped softly. "I got a bruise on my back and my face hurt for hours."

"My grandma told me that gay people go to hell." Brynn replied. "I was just trying to explain to you that I don't think they do, but you pushed me before I could finish talking." She frowned. "Tamika and Shay were talking about you and I was trying to defend you, my uncle is a gay man."

Skylar stared at Brynn before turning and climbing in the bed, refusing Taylor's help initially, but finally allowing her sister to help her when she realized her footed pajamas weren't giving her the traction she needed to climb in. She sat close to Taylor, so their legs were touching and continued to glare at Brynn, who was noticeably nervous under the baby's intense glare.

"So you were defending me?" Taylor asked, raising an eyebrow at the young girl, who nodded.

"But you pushed me, so I hit you back. I'm sorry." Brynn replied.

"My twin brother Malcolm, is happily married to his partner, Austin, and has been for three years, and we spend a lot of time with them and their kids. So what happened between Brynn and Taylor was as much of a surprise to us as it was to you." Marshall explained. "We have talked to Brynn to find out exactly what happened, and it seemed like a misunderstanding when Brynn began to explain what happened to us."

Brittany set down her coffee and stared at the man. "Your daughter set out hate speech then attacked our daughter."

"Taylor pushed her first." Cassidy reminded Brittany.

Santana cleared her throat. "Well, the story we heard from both the school and Taylor is that Brynn told her we were going to hell because or...well you know. Taylor pushed her, Brynn slapped her and pushed her back." She glanced at Brittany, who was angrily tapping her foot and continued. "Is there a different story?"

"Well Brynn told us she was defending Taylor to another girl and she thinks Taylor might have overheard her wrong." Cassidy explained. "Now we do know that Taylor did push her first, but we don't agree with how Brynn handled that situation, and we want to make that perfectly clear, we also want to make sure that you both know we aren't raising our daughter to be intolerant of anyone, no matter their sexual preference, religion, or anything else."

Santana nodded. "Well, why don't we see how the girls are reacting to one another, you both seem like lovely people and we can all agree that we want what's best for our daughters, and that's their safety. We also acknowledge that Taylor did get physical first and want to point out that we don't condone violence at all. So I want to apologize on her behalf, in addition to her apologizing to Brynn."

"Same from us," Marshall nodded in agreement. "We hope to get this situation cleared up as soon as possible between the girls. We know this isn't the welcome that Taylor wanted or needed coming into a new school."

"No it's not." Brittany chimed in. "My wife is a little more conservative that I can be right now in this situation. I'm pissed, Taylor is an awesome kid, she's a sweetheart, and never has had a problem making friends, and has certainly never been in a bully type of situation, one where she was the aggressor or the victim. Her safety comes first to me and your daughter plays a big part in that." She took a deep breath and closed her eyes tightly. "I just want my daughter to not only be safe, but to feel safe at school."

"We completely agree." Cassidy replied.

Santana smiled ."Why don't eat dinner, have some wine, and get to know each other more, one another's occupations while we give the girls so more time to talk and hopefully work out whatever issues they have with one another."

"Dos...tres..." Skylar randomly counted as she pulled on Marshall's pants legs.

"Sky, Sky." Brittany shook her head quickly.

"It's okay." Marshall laughed. "She's proud to showcase her numbers."

Skylar smiled at him before waving. "Cinco..." She then held up her hand and wiggled her fingers as Santana walked in and picked up the baby, beginning to wipe the chocolate off her mouth from her dessert.

"We better get going, thank you for dinner and your hospitality." Cassidy smiled. "Would you mind getting Brynn for us?"

"Sure, Sky go get your Tay." Santana told the baby, setting her on the step and watching her slowly climb every step carefully disappearing down the hall when she made it to the top.

"Tay!" Skylar yelled as she ran down the hall and into her sister's room.

Taylor and Brynn were sitting on the floor looking through magazines while they laughed and talked idly. "What's wrong Sky?" She asked when her sister, quickly hugged her around the neck tightly.

"Mami..."

"Mami wants me?" Taylor asked.

Sky nodded with a smile before glaring at Brynn, who simply smiled back at her.

"I bet it's time for you to go." Taylor told her. "You can borrow the book until Monday at school." She told Brynn, standing up and handing her the magazine.

"Thanks." Brynn replied as they left the room.

Taylor picked up Skylar before they walked down the steps, Skylar stuck her tongue out at Brynn and stared at her before finally laying on her sister's shoulder.

Taylor walked over Cassidy and Marshall and extended her hand to shake them. "Sorry for pushing Brynn, I wasn't raised to hit anyone, my moms were pretty disappointed. She's your daughter and I shouldn't have done that, but I don't like when people talk about my moms, they are all I have, well aside from Sky." She added, Skylar now holding her around the leg.

"We accept your apology." Marshall replied, shaking Taylor's hand.

"Can Brynn come over to play again?" She then asked the group of adults.

"We're friends now."

"She's more than welcome." Santana smiled, Brittnay remained silent but smiled tightly.

"Of course, I'll let you two and we can work out the details." Cassidy smiled as they headed towards the door. "Thanks again for dinner, everything was great."

"Our pleasure." Santana smiled, waving as they headed to their car.

11pm

Santana walked outside with a picnic basket, Brittany was sitting by the fire-pit, a blanket over her lap while she replied to a work email on her phone. She set the picnic basket down and began to pull the items out, Brittany raising her eyebrow but smiling at the dessert and wine. Santana set the slice of apple pie before opening the bottle of wine and pouring a glass for each of them. Brittany held the glasses as Santana lifted the blanket and slid underneath, immediately wrapping an arm around Brittany, who leaned into her side.

"We really have the perfect yard." Brittany exhaled, taking a sip before kissing Santana on the temple.

"Yeah we do, the house is really coming together, the yard looks good too. I ordered a pool cleaner thing off of Amazon, the reviews say it's the best in the market. We just turn it on and float around and eat debris." Santana told the blonde, kissing her on the neck softly.

"How much was it?" Brittany asked.

"165." Santana replied.

"Not too bad." Brittany shrugged. "How do you think this afternoon went with the Jacksons?"

Santana took a sip of her wine and set the glass down. "I think you were on fire. Baby, I know how protective you are of the girls, and how upset you were that Taylor got into the fight, but they came over here with the best intentions and just just barked at them."

"Their daughter..."

"Their daughter might have been misunderstood by Taylor, look, B, I don't want to argue about this, I don't. This is a beautiful night, it's relaxing, the weather is pleasant and comfortable. I just want to tell you how I felt about your behavior." Santana shrugged. "I just don't think it was cool, the side eyes, the glaring, the short responses."

"Their daughter attacked ours, why are you okay with it?" Brittany asked, sitting up to face Santana more.

"I'm not." Santana frowned. "But being rude to them isn't the best example to send Taylor either. Brynn apologized to Taylor, her parents apologized to us, and you were being less than welcoming."

Brittany sighed and stared at her wife. "You were so pissed the first day and since then you don't seem as upset, why?"

"More of the story came out, and life we all can agree Taylor started the physical altercation. It's not like Brynn and a group of girls jumped her." Santana frowned. "What are you so on edge lately?"

"Why aren't you?"

"You want me on edge?" Santana raised an eyebrow as Skylar started to cry into the baby monitor.

"I'll go, maybe the walk upstairs will get me off the edge." Brittany stood up and walked towards the house.

Santana rolled her eyes and watched Brittany walk in the house. "What the fuck is wrong with her?" She mumbled to herself as a text from Quinn came in, letting her know she would in Phoenix on Tuesday for the remainder of the week for work and she was hoping to see the family; she quickly responded, hoping that the visit from Quiinn would cheer Brittany up a little and get her out of the funk she'd seemed to be in since they moved.

Santana sat outside for another hour, finishing the bottle of wine before she realized that Brittany hadn't come back. She sighed and cleaned up everything before heading in the house, after setting the pie back in the fridge she went to their bedroom and noticed it was empty so she peeked in Skylar's too and saw it was empty as well, she went to Taylor's and saw Brittany laying in bed, both girls cuddled with her. Santana kissed them each on the forehead before pressing her lips to Brittany's and heading to shower in their room.

6am

Santana woke from the smell of blueberry muffins wafting through the house and got out of bed, slipping on a pair of pajama pants over the boy shorts she slept in. She went downstairs and smiled at Skylar, who was back asleep on a pallet in the living room, holding her Snoopy tightly, a pacifier in her mouth. She carefully and slowly pulled the pacifier out, staring at her daughter to see if she would cry or wake up, when she saw she didn't budge, she tossed it on the table and went to the kitchen where Brittany was singing softly to the radio, setting freshly baked muffins in a basket.

"Good morning." Santana smiled.

"Morning beautiful." Brittany replied, pouring her a cup of coffee and handing it to her., kissing her on the forehead.

"Thank you for coming to bed last night." Santana told her. "I was worried you wouldn't."

"When we got back together we promised to never sleep apart, when we did that the first time around it led to a divorce." Brittany told her. "I was just laying with the girls, I was coming to bed. Thanks for turning and cuddling with me, I was an ass last night and I'm sorry, I ruined our relaxing night, so I thought I would make it up to you by making breakfast, and we can eat outside with the girls. It's not the romantic set up we had last night, but..."

"It'll be perfect." Santana told her. "Quinn texted me that she'll be here in a few days, maybe we can hustle a date night out of her."

"Hmmmm, I hope so." Brittany winked at her. "Feel like helping me out with breakfast, you know bacon wakes up Tay."

Santana laughed. "Sure, but while it's quiet, can the two of us just have a cup of coffee in the indoor patio, have a little morning date while we share a muffin, and then we can make breakfast for the girls."

"I love that idea." Brittany nodded, grabbing a muffin and her cup of coffee, following the Latina to the indoor patio. Santana sat on her lap right away and kissed her deeply. "I love you."

"I love you too." Brittany replied. "We have probably a good fifteen minutes before Sky wakes up and terrorizes the house." She laughed, breaking the kiss and break the muffin in half, holding a piece up to her wife's mouth.
