Liko - The Shiny Rayquaza was immensely powerful after we were forced to confront him and the mystery surrounding Lucius and Marena's Pokémon grew even deeper. Despite that, we decided to move forward and learn more about them one step at a time, slowly getting stronger and closer to the answers we were searching for. That's how life goes for us and as we keep moving forward, our journey together still has a lot more adventures for us to have and so much more to see

Following Liko and Roy's match against Diana and Arcanine, everybody gathered in Mollie's nursing room to see Sarah and Terapagos awake and back in full health after the previous battle with Rayquaza. While the Alolan Royal Family paid no attention to Roy given their lingering grudge against him despite Sarah's forgiveness towards him, Diana and Arcanine opted to watch from the Brave Olivine's deck through one of the portholes.

"You and Terapagos okay now, Sarah?" Liko smiled, getting a happy coo from Terapagos and a reassuring nod from her best friend. "Thank goodness, I was so worried..."

Diana smiled at the scene before her and her partner as she commented, "It's a good thing Terapagos and Sarah are safe; I know they'll do very well together with Liko since they're all safely in each other's hands."

"Yes, they'll do just fine. Especially with the rest of their friends and her family with them," Arcanine agreed warmly.

"Well then, now that that's settled, it's my turn to fight."

(Opening)

Now, head forth! Pierce through the clouds~

(Our opening for Part 2 of Pokémon Horizons (i.e. The Gleam of Terapagos) begins with Liko, Sarah, and Race in a triangle formation (Liko up top, Race from the bottom right-hand corner from her left, and Sarah from the bottom left-hand corner on her right) as their pendant and Terapagos Three shone in darkness before the former turned into Liko's Terapagos)

(We swiftly pan across the oceans akin to the beginning of the opening of Attack on Titan S4 Pt. 2 (The Rumbling by SIM) before stopping amongst the horizon as the titles for Pokémon Horizons: The Gleam of Terapagos appeared amidst a sunset/sunrise)

When I remember the words I couldn't say
I dove down to hide myself
Swimming my way through in uncertainty
I cut through the clouds and head for the blue sky

(We see a young Liko walking with her parents through a marketplace before we see her as she is, her uncertainty lifted as she holds and looks at her pendant underneath a moonlit sky from the rooftop of her family's house along with Sarah as she enjoyed her life in Alola growing up before she is shown holding her family's Sun Sword in its powered-down form as the young woman she is and held it above her head underneath the Alolan sun in a split-screen sequence. Then, in a flurry of Leafage and cosmic energy, we see the pair with their three Terapagos, Sprigatito, Hatenna, Blitz, Curly, and Silvally enjoying the breeze together on the observation decks of the Brave Olivine and the Dragon Craft)

One day, I'll look back
At that fiery red sunset
And burn it all into memory

(A young Roy is shown being fascinated by stories his grandfather was showing him until we see him as the boy he is (looking dirty all over and wearing the Brave Olivine's flag like a cape) eyeing the Ancient Pokeball that once held Lucius' Rayquaza in his right hand and raising it high above him in the rising or setting sun while Race is seen being found by Brandon, enjoying life with him and the other Frontier Brains, and being the man he is now as he eyed the camera and held a Pokeball in front of him while glaring at the camera in the same split-screen sequence before they're shown via Flamethrower, Shadow Claw, and Thunder watching the sunset on the Brave Olivine's Wing Deck and the Dragon craft's sun deck watching the sunset with Bella, Robbie, Tou-Tou, Wattrel, and Fuecoco)

Even if I can't reach the truth of the world~
Or the feelings of that girl~
It's okay to not understand~
Just shine like a rainbow~

(We are shown their friends and Sarah's family including a few of their Pokémon in five/six slot group sequences as follows: Friede, Orla, Mollie, Dot, Ludlow, and Murdock with Charizard, Metagross and Elekid, Chansey, Quaxly, Rockruff and Alcremie, and Quagsire; Burnet (with the cute addition of Lei) and Kukui with Munchlax, Incineroar, and Braviary joined by Diane, James, Nikki, and Johnathan with Romeo, Dragonite, Lucario, Clover, Catnip, Juliet, and Melon; Ash, Lana, Mallow, Kiawe, Lillie, and Sophocles with their respective partners; and Delilah, Doug, Donna (former queen), David, Asha, and Gladion with Mischief, Persian, the Tomoe Squad, Flicker, Flicka, June, Proud, Ziracon, Umbreon, Silvally, and Lycanroc; Goh, Nemona, Arven, Penny, and Team Star with Meowscarda, Pawmo, Killowattrel, Cinderace, Inteleon, Grookey, Mabostiff, the Eevees, Bisharp, Torkoal, Skuntank, Revavroom, Azumarill, Wigglytuff, Passimian, and Toxicroak; and the Blueberry Academy students with Hydrapple, Mightyena, Toucannon, Magmortor, Empoleon, Reuniclus, Whimsicott, Granbull, Flygon, and Haxorus)

(We see a smirking Cap from the Brave Olivine's bridge and Friede taking the wheel along with MK-1 on the Dragon Craft's Bridge at its controls with an eager bark, the three of them preparing to take everyone aboard their respective ships to new heights and continue discovering all the world has to offer among the horizons)

Now, head forth! Pierce through the clouds~
Stumbling, staggering~
Standing firm and reaching farther~
Now, run forth! Towards my future~

(In the horizons, with the heroes riding their respective ships, they dash forward with Lucius' Rayquaza roaring and flying alongside them before Liko, Roy, Dot, Murdock, and Ludlow are shown with their partners stumbling, running, or sliding along Rayquaza's body with Mollie, Chansey, and Orla following on Metagross and Sarah and Race tailing their new friends aboard Bolt and Winter with the rest of their family joining them before Marena and Stormcloud joined them. Meanwhile, Amethio is shown training with his Ceruledge and Corviknight with the former forced back by the latter and their master staggering to the floor and sitting on his ass from the intensity of the training battle. As his partners sparred, he gritted his teeth and tugged his shirt, feeling unsatisfied about the current progress he was making and wanting to do more to improve themselves and himself on something while Hamber and Dusknoir watched on)

At the end of this long, long journey
I'll remember you
One day, we'll shake hands
And laugh

(Lucca, Diana, and Liko were seen together with the final Terapagos in the young girl's arms who cried out and unleashed an energy wave, showing Moltres, Arboliva, and Rayquaza with the second half of the Six Heroes: Entei, Lapras, and Kleavor, in small bursts along with Lucius and Liko's Terapagos, before Sarah, Race, Liko, their Terapagos Four, Sprigatito, Rosie, Chili, Crest, Silvally, Tou-Tou, Robbie, and Bella along with a tearful Marena come across Lucius on a cliff point before they joined the Ancient Adventurer on his current spot)

A light appeared
At the end of the rainbow
And I found my dream

(We see the Explorers in short bursts along with a Tera Orb in Sarah's hand, Lucius' gear and records, one of the Terapagos Four in Stellar Form, and someone reaching out in between the heroes looking out to the horizon and the sun in the heavens before Sarah, Liko, Marena, and Race are seen face to face with the Six Heroes as the opening ends)

(End Theme Song)

After checking on her granddaughter, Terapagos, and Sarah, Diana and Arcanine returned to the Brave Olivine's observation deck to prepare to continue their own adventure and thus begin their investigation into Hamber and the Explorers. As the elderly adventurer went through her materials and books, Friede and Cap joined by Johnathan, Diane, Marena, Lazuli, Doug, and Delilah came to see her.

"Gee, if that's all the luggage you're gonna carry on your trip, I don't know what is," Friede chuckled.

"You know me; all adventurers have to travel light when they go out," Diana smiled knowingly.

"That hurts to hear coming from you, Diana. Compared to you and the Dragon Craft, it's almost impossible for us to keep the Brave Olivine as neat and tidy," Johnathan replied with a smirk.

"Oh, well, just goes to show how many responsibilities you have to keep up with as you grow older. Please look after Liko and Terapagos for me. You know what you all have to do, right?"

The adults nodded as Lazuli replied (taking out her Tera Orb), "Yep, as we've discussed earlier, we're returning to Paldea. Obviously, it's a no-brainer with the kid and her husband still enrolled in one of its schools and it was the home of our resident Tera Turtles given the Terastal Phenomenon."

"Even if we don't approve of keeping secrets, Ms. Diana, what Lazuli and Mr. Friede told us when they decided to let us know what we're doing upon returning... We understand why you'll want to keep everyone else in the dark about your investigation into the Explorers and everything else you talked about with them and the Circle of Twelve," Doug added and Delilah nodded.

Diana nodded as she told the group, "I like where your heads are at. And, thank you for understanding, Your Majesties. I'll leave you all to it, you can drop me off at he next port when we arrive."

"Actually, Diana, before you go... I want to show you something, to thank you for everything before you leave us," Marena interjected.

"Oh, what is it you have in mind for me, Marena?"

"I know we're a little late for this and we're still trying to recover from our ordeal with Rayquaza, but... Before you leave, would it be alright if I showed you all my home for the past millennia?"

"Hey, wait a minute! Are you talking about Dragonstone Island?" Friede gasped, getting a nod from the Sea Witch.

"I think it's time I showed you all what I've done before meeting my family again and to give myself more time to further make amends with them..."

She looked at the five Pokeballs belonging to her and her husband's Ancient Pokémon clipped to Lucius' belt and gently brushed them as she said, "They deserved that much, I still have much to atone for with them..."

"Why, that's a marvelous idea coming from you, Marena. It'll also help us keep our flames of adventure growing and give us the incentive to reach for new heights just as you're all doing while carrying out our investigation. I'd love to see what your home is like before I go," Diana smiled at the Sea Witch as she gently caressed her partner.

"Thank you, Diana..."

As the adults were talking, Liko, Roy, and their partners had managed to eavesdrop on their conversation (even though the subject of Diana investigating the Explorers flew over their heads as they listened in), unsure of what to say over the elderly adventurer preparing to leave after their short visit to Dragonstone Island.

"Apparently, Grandma's preparing to go off at the next port," Liko peeped.

"Won't you miss her when she leaves us later?" Roy asked, concerned for his friend.

"Yeah, of course... But, that's how she's always been while on her adventures, she's never one to sit still."

"I see... Hey, I got an idea! Since we're all going to Dragonstone today, why don't we throw her a goodbye party to say 'see ya real soon!'? We can have curry, a show, and so much more, what do you say? It'll be fun!"

"Great idea, Roy!"

"Yeah/PARTY, PARTY!" Sprigatito and Fuecoco cheered.

"Let's make this the best party Diana's ever had!"

"We'll get the others and all the Pokémon to join in, too!"

"Alright/Party Time!"

The news about the short visit to Dragonstone upon Marena's request to Diana had spread to everyone in the Brave Olivine and the Dragon Craft with Liko, Roy, the elderly adventurer, and the rest of the Rising Volt Tacklers (including Dot) eager to see the place where the Sea Witch herself had been living for the past millennia.

"Wow, Sarah, Marena, this is so awesome! I can't wait to see what Dragonstone Island and your side of this Dragonstone Kingdom are all about!" Roy grinned as he, Liko, Sprigatito, and Fuecoco joined Sarah and Marena in the Dragon Craft's bridge, hoping to see the Sea Witch's home with a front row view (with the Dragon Craft leading the way for the Brave Olivine).

"Trust us, once you see them, the sights and sounds they have will blow you away like there's no tomorrow," chuckled Hiccup as he and his friends came over to join them.

"Sure took us by surprise when we were given a grand circle tour of the entire thing," added Fishlegs.

"There's nothing else like it!"

"Ever!" grinned Tuffnut and Ruffnut before they banged their helmets together and shared a laugh.

"This is so exciting... I wonder what Marena's home is going to be like? Maybe this Dragonstone Island place would be as cozy as this Berk place Hiccup and his friends came from," Liko thought before MK-1 barked twice, alerting everyone that they were approaching Dragonstone Island.

"Whoa! Is that place what you and Marena call Dragonstone Island, Sarah?!"

"It's huge!"

"That's where your second kingdom is?!"

"How do you even look after this place?!"

"It's incredible!"

"Whoa, I've never seen anything like it!"

"That is the biggest island I have ever seen!"

"MASSIVE!"

"What a stunner..." Friede, Cap, Arven, Orla, Penny, Mollie, Roy, Fuecoco, and Diana breathed in astonishment.

"Whoa... It's so beautiful..."

"Sure is," commented an equally amazed Dot and Quaxly from her room (while hanging out with Nemona and the rest of Team Star) before the young recluse cleared her throat and said through her Rotom Phone, "Yeah, but... You know me, I-I'm not one for parties and the bangers... You know, that sort of stuff."

"That's you and only you, mi amigo!" replied Nemona as she, Mela, Eri, Giacomo, and Atticus laughed.

"Geez, that's a big, big island!" balked Sprigatito, her jaw dropping and her eyes widening.

"Sarah, that island... Is that really-?" Liko began, lost in her admiration and amazement.

"Yeah, over there, that giant island just ahead of us... That's Dragonstone Island, the entire island was a paradise for its residents throughout the last 1600 years," Sarah confirmed with a small smile.

"Wow, that island is so gigantic! It dwarfs each region of our world individually with its massive size! I wonder what's going on down there, what has Marena been doing before we went looking for her family?" the young girl mused as the Brave Olivine and the Dragon Craft approached the island and landed on its beautiful grassy meadows.

Having landed and arrived at Marena's home and Sarah's second kingdom, the entire group (including Ludlow and Dot) exited their respective aircraft and were greeted by the magnificent sight of Sarah's Dragonstone Castle atop the island's rugged cliffs.

Seeing that they were far away from unknown curious and prying eyes, Sarah and Race took out their briefcases and released all of their mythical companions to allow them to enjoy the day. This also included Chomp and the Chibi Dinos as they relished in their being in their family's secondary kingdom while tumbling about and playing in the grass.

"Damn...! So, this is Dragonstone Island, the home of your advisor and your secondary kingdom?" the Fox Kwami of Illusion, Trixx, grinned in amazement as she and her fellow Kwami appeared to see Sarah's secondary kingdom.

"This is it; my secondary kingdom in all its glory... While my parents take their places back home, I'm taking up duties here as its human ruler," Sarah replied with a nod.

"This is awesome!" Barkk cheered as he rode on Lazuli's head while Petunia occupied her right shoulder.

"Most majestic and peaceful for a kingdom attained by one so young..."

"1600 years of peace led to all of this? This is incredible!" added Sass and Fluff.

"Wow! This is so cool! Hey! Sarah, is that Dragonstone Castle you told us about over there?" Roy asked in absolute wonder at the sight of the huge, majestic, and yet regal castle overlooking the grassy meadow.

"Yep, it was once the home of the region's previous rulers: Queen Athi and King Blizzard. Now, it belongs to me and my family."

To Marena, it was the perfect time to bring out her family and show them the place she had been living for much of her later yet immortal life. She summoned Lapras, Entei, Kleavor, Arboliva, and Moltres at once, and immediately, the five members of the Six Heroes looked on at their new surroundings in great surprise. None of them had ever seen such a place that was beautiful yet exotic throughout the last century they had been together with their parental figures and this was out of left field even for them.

"What...?"

"What is this place?" Lapras and Moltres breathed in shock.

"Kids, welcome to my home," Marena smiled softly at them, Arboliva, Kleavor, and Moltres, presenting Dragonstone before them and the others.

"I must say, this island is such a remarkable sight. Imagine if Teppin was here right now and he caught sight of all of this while we were out and about previously," Diana quipped with an amused yet impressed smirk.

"So, Marena, we know Sarah is the current ruler of this giant land but where exactly do you live?" Eri questioned the Sea Witch.

"The village of Lysa where my tribe lived, this way," Marena replied with a chuckle as she led everybody to her home with her family staying close to her (with Drogon carrying Lapras given that he can't travel on land) while they went on their way.

When they finally arrived and entered Lysa, apart from Hiccup, his friends and the Alolan Royal Family, the heroes were utterly floored by how busy it was with all the Pokemon, pets (i.e. cats, dogs, horses, and so on), dragons, and humans, playing, chatting, and going about their business and lives happily.

What's even more astonishing was the sight of various buildings and structures built within the place at the base of the castle's cliffs:

- Craftsman houses which stood as testaments to their builders' artistry and bungalows with roofs adorned with intricate dragon motifs nestled alongside detached single-family homes (each home adorned with vibrant gardens bursting with colorful flowers)

- Massive barns and stables standing nearby those very houses that were enchanted to accommodate various dragon breeds and cottages with their thatched roofs blending in seamlessly with the natural beauty of their surroundings dotted across the landscape

Amongst the buildings, several wild Pokémon and dragons roamed the streets in a calm and orderly fashion including Electric Types, Normal Types, Dragon Types, Fairy Types, and so on along with various other breeds of dragons. To the untrained eye, while they may look like part of Sarah's family and the Dragons of Berk, they were visitors and/or citizens of Dragonstone Island.

"Oh, wow! Look at all the Pokémon living here!"

"And, look at all the dragons and Dragon Types with them, too!" Roy and Drayton gasped in amazement, eying all the Pokémon and dragons in the area without a care in the world.

"This is like the Wild Areas in the Galar Region but much, much bigger!" Liko added, astounded.

"Unreal..! This place is like a large piece of heaven for all these dragons and Pokémon..."

"I'll say, I'm surprised to find humans living in this part of the kingdom peacefully with them given their awkward pension for their supposed 'superiority'," Mistral agreed as she saw some human children playing with some baby Pokémon and dragon hatchlings.

"If there was ever a sign that Pokémon and humans can live together in cooperation and harmony, this place and this kingdom could be it," Hu commented in amazement.

"I've never seen such an eclectic and vibrant kingdom like this in my life," Rabbit breathed in total fascination.

To Quaxly's delight, making sure to watch at his partner from time to time to see how she was feeling, even Dot couldn't find it in herself to hold back a small smile seeing the peace, friendship, and harmony between the humans, Pokémon, and dragons living together within the island.

Earlier, while the heroes went to Dragonstone, she and Quaxly tried to make a video involving Terastallization after the Rayquaza incident and Scrappy Terastallizing Larmina, Garnet, and Topaz. But, because they hadn't yet used the Terastal Phenomenon's power (something that Liko, Roy, and their partners couldn't attempt at this point, too), they'd hit a roadblock they would have to overcome sooner or later. It also didn't help that they got a surprise phone call from Iono whom they were helping with involving Terastal Cap headgear she came up with (something that the Levincia gym leader couldn't pull off alone due to her headgear) as a special collaboration between them and the eccentric yet happy-go-lucky gym leader was wondering if their next collab would be a battle of the internet sensations with themselves now that the young recluse is a trainer.

Dot didn't know how to answer and tried to come up with an excuse but Iono read her like a book as Liko, Roy, Fuecoco, and Sprigatito came to her room to tell her about the party they planned to throw for Diana and the eccentric gym leader saw them gelling with her and Quaxly well (much to Dot's embarrassment). So, the chance to explore Dragonstone was a huge relief for her and it allowed the young recluse to take her mind off of Iono's offer for a bit.

As for Lapras, Entei, Moltres, Arboliva, and Kleavor, they were all shocked and astonished to see the village that their mother figure called home, a place she had been running and watching over as its leader since her previous life with them, Rayquaza, and Lucius a century ago. The sight of so many Pokémon, dragons, and humans living in harmony had left them completely speechless.

They were also astounded to see several Pokémon-friendly houses that had been crafted with as much care and attention to detail as the other houses, all dotting the landscape around them and some having whimsical designs reflecting and catering to the unique needs of their occupants with the most noteworthy of them being:

- Pokémon Centers

- Pikachu-themed cottages adorned with yellow and black accents sporting cozy nests for Electric Types complete with spacious play areas and charging stations

- Bulbasaur bungalows nestled amid lush gardens and verdant foliage that provided a special haven for Grass Types wanting to frolic on and explore

"Wow, this is absolutely amazing, Marena! If Professor Cerise and his team saw this, they would have a field day and make their research garden something like this!"

"I can't believe you lived here of all places, I'm jealous! I wonder if Blueberry Academy and Uva Acadamy should have a village catering to Pokémon, humans, and dragons living in harmony, too!" Goh and Ortega commented, amazed by what they saw.

"It's nice of you to think that, boys. And, we're in luck; today happens to be the day of the Harmony Crest Festival," Marena replied with a bright grin.

"Harmony Crest Festival?" the heroes visiting Dragonstone for the first time echoed in confusion.

"It's a special festival in dedication to the Six Spirits of Harmony," the Sea Witch explained as Moltres, Arboliva, Entei, and Kleavor took great care not to accidentally step on someone or something due to their large sizes (all of them and Lapras unable to help but feel humbled by what they were seeing).

This was a jarring feeling for the Ancient Pokémon because they and Rayquaza had no idea what their mother figure was doing in her life before she met them and Lucius. But, it was also sentimental for them to see her and her clan living in harmony and the Pokémon and dragons of the island because they greatly reminded them of their time with their parental figures.

"Marena's village is so beautiful, I'm amazed she lived in such a wonderful place before meeting Lucius and the Six Heroes," Liko mused happily as she, Terapagos, Sprigatito, and Hatenna saw some small Dragonets blissfully playing with each other and some baby Pokemon.

As the heroes walked along the busy yet peaceful streets of Lysa, Sarah and Race's Dino Bracers started to give off a bright glow. This caught the attention of the others as they noticed the royal couple examining their shimmering bracers and wondered what was going on until they heard a low but happy bellow. They turned to the source of the bellow and from out of the bushes popped a familiar blue and yellow female Ankylosaurus running towards the surprised little princess, the dino's presence spooking the island's new visitors as Sarah came over and she gently lifted her up to her head.

"Whoa! Hey! Bumpy, easy there, girl! Easy!" Sarah laughed as she was rocked while Bumpy (now a full-grown Ankylosaurus) bobbed her head up and down before Chomp and the Chibi 13 noticed several more familiar faces coming after her.

They were Firestar and Bluestar (the Smilodons in Sarah's care), Rexy the Trykosaurus, the baby Sino-Spinos: Angel and Rebel (who retained their dwarfism), Hunter the Pyroraptor, Ripper the Blind Theriznosaurus, the female Gigantosaurus: Tsar, the Velociraptors Four: Blue, Delta, Razor, and Charlie, the Atrociraptors Four: Ghost, Panthera, Tiger, and Red, Fang the Indoraptor, and Zalika the Indominus Rex.

Their presence and the happiness they experienced in seeing their human savior and caretaker returning to Dragonstone for the first time in a while (judging from the excited roars they were letting out) was more than enough for Chomp and the Chibi 13 to chirp ecstatically and scamper over to their old friends.

"...DINOSAURS?!" the Paldea School Gang and the Rising Volt Tacklers balked as their jaws dropped in utter shock while they and the others watched the reunion taking place.

"Uh, guys... Tell me this is some whacko dream I'm having right now!"

"We would if somebody would pinch us!"

"But, we're not going to..."

"If this is a dream, we'd all snap awake in the morning or the middle of the night right now!"

"This is incredible...but it shouldn't be possible!"

"I'll say!"

"Sarah's got living, breathing dinosaurs! Actual prehistoric creatures from eons past and the Cenozoic period!"

"Crazy...and creepy!"

"In all my years, I've never seen such a feat possible such as what we're seeing right now!"

"You're telling me... I'm scared of what to think right now about those wild and whacko beasts," Friede, Cap, Charizard, Orla, Mollie, Chansey, Murdock, Rockruff, Galaxagus, and Lazuli blinked, gulped, or quipped in a frantic sweat.

"YAAAAAAAAAAAY!" cheered a voice as Billy Thicknose (now a full-year-old) happily came out and her father, Topsy Thicknose, followed.

"Hello, Billy! Topsy, Guys!" Sarah continued to laugh as Billy pounced on her but restrained herself from pushing her to the ground in her excitement while nuzzling her and her father's savior with Angel and Rebel doing the same with her and Race's legs before they happily greeted their old friends.

"We missed you!"

"Welcome back, Sarah," chuckled Topsy with a smile.

"How's everything been with you guys?"

"Oh, like a flock of Combee mingling non-stop in a honey factory with no hitches and cracks in their foundations!"

Sarah laughed at Billy's humorous quip and Race just chuckled at her while Bluestar and Firestar came over and gently purred, making the little princess pet them.

"It sure has been a while but we've been pretty busy over at Paldea's Uva and Blueberry Academies. We are registered for Uva Academy's Terastal Course, after all," Race noted as he gently rubbed Billy's head.

"Wow, look at all the dinosaurs!" Barkk chirped in awe.

"They're all so cute!" Roaar agreed, cooing at Angel and Rebel who chirped curiously at the Kwamis.

"How strange... They also appeared to be hybrids of known dinosaur species," added Kaalki as he looked between Fang, Zalika, Angel, and Rebel (the latter two scampering over to Penny, Arven, Nemona, and the rest of Sarah, Asha, and Race's Paldea classmates, eager to meet their savior's new friends).

"Very adorable hybrids, actually!" Barkk pointed out.

"Sarah, what's with all of those dinosaurs? How did you find these amazing beasts from the Mesozoic and Cenozoic periods? Dinosaurs had been extinct for millions upon millions of years! Last I checked, Professor Sada and Professor Toro's time machine couldn't have sent them to our time with the Paradox Pokémon even if it was once left unchecked," Penny questioned, completely flabbergasted.

She was then nudged by a happy Angel who chirped gayly at her, making the young Team Star leader smile and rub her head before she remarked, "But, I have to admit, they're pretty cute."

"Not to mention...those two are meant to exist only in the Jurassic Park franchise since they were made as movie monsters," Dot added, pointing everyone to Fang and Zalika.

"Or the fact that one of my alternate counterparts resulted in their extinction," Plagg remarked, making some of the group give him deadpanned looks. "What? it's true! I amthe Kwami of Destruction, after all."

"Oh, now I remember; I heard about them from the news reports about the dinosaur incident in Adventure City before you stopped that Cawthorn guy, Ash! He was the madman responsible for making them last year and you and everyone else involved came to the rescue in time to stop them from hurting the townsfolk!" Goh recalled in amazement.

"Yep, took us a while to reign them in given how powerful they were but thanks to Sarah, Winter, and Shadow, they're now very friendly," grinned Ash as he gently petted Fang who enjoyed his touch while Pikachu rode on his head.

"Oh, yeah... There were some articles about them but I didn't think they were actually true," Dot said.

"Took us by surprise when we got the lowdown watching from the academy, too. I never thought they'd be genetically engineered, after all. How many dinos do you have living on this great big island?" Atticus added while rubbing Blue and her sisters.

While Liko's Terapagos, Larmina, Topaz, and Garnet toddled over to the dwarfed Sino-Spinos and smiled as they exchanged chirps, the four Tera Pokemon wagging their tails at them as they did so, Sarah (while she rubbed Zalika's right leg) replied, "If you count the ones with us to the rest I have: 460 other dinos-20 for the 23 species in my wing-and 500 Pokémon genetically engineered by Cawthorn and his former science team out of greed and selfish intentions. They were meant to be sold as weapons of war or to the highest bidder in the black market until we liberated them while we were on our journey to find Mom and Dad last year."

Sarah let out the part about Dr. Zin creating the majority of the dinosaurs and pokemon given they heard about the Adventure City incident so it was easier for them to believe they were created via that.

"No way!"

"You're kidding!"

"Are you serious?!"

"500 Pokémon and 460 dinosaurs, all genetically engineered by that mad scientist?!" Orla, Mollie, Murdock, and Friede balked in utter shock.

"Damn..." Lazuli gulped, aghast.

"Wait! Was that what Lucius and Marena feared what would happen to the Six Heroes if anybody else found out about them?!" Liko gasped, terrified by the realization of what would've been a tragic fate that befell the Ancient Pokémon.

"No way! Marena, did people like Cawthorn really do that to them?!" Roy asked Marena in shock, leaving the Sea Witch to give a bitter yet confirming nod (which left Moltres, Arboliva, and Lapras (apart from Entei and Kleavor who were told beforehand when they were kept) in shocked surprise over the truth).

"Talon, Hikari, Frostbite, Chomper, Hailstorm, and Obsidian were among those that had it much worse. The little britches were shackled in large chains, scarred from their dog-fighting treatment to turn them into fighters, they were a mess until our Ponchita-in-law and her godfather targeted and freed them," James noted grimly.

"That's the unfortunate truth for some creatures; most of them were weaponized by humans for centuries and genetic engineering's a treacherous pathway the most sinister of them chose to take to accomplish that. The last thing I wanted for my and Lucius' children was for them to suffer that same fate which is why I pulled off that drastic measure a century ago," Marena sighed as she rubbed Firestar and Blue purred sympathetically for her. "Here, though, these creatures are free from all of the pain they went through and don't have to live in fear anymore. They're under the watchful eyes of the villagers and are happier living away from the outside world."

"I see," Amarys breathed, now understanding the creatures' tragic plight.

"So, is this what Arven's parents wanted to do with Area Zero back in Paldea and the Paradox Pokémon they brought from their respective times?" Mela compared in awe.

"Wow... This island has all sorts of Pokémon, dragons, humans, and living dinosaurs. It's so amazing, I never knew how deeply someone like Marena thought about this and everything she, Sarah, and James talked about," Liko mused in amazement, already liking Dragonstone Island and its inhabitants.

"Master Gibeon is ready to speak with you, Amethio."

Meanwhile, at the Explorers' HQ, Amethio was granted his request to share his report about Lucius' Rayquaza and everything else he saw in his confrontation with the Terastal Shiny Sky High Pokémon with Gibeon. He is now in the briefing room standing at attention as Gibeon comes into contact with him via his holographic monolith while Hamber stands by his master's side from Amethio's left.

"Amethio, I assume by your presence you managed to reach the Shiny Rayquaza and combated it before the others could reach it?" Gibeon inquired curiously.

"Yes. But, it proved too powerful of an opponent when it defeated Ceruledge and I let it slip away," Amethio replied.

"Interesting, what did you feel when you confronted it last night?"

"Based on my observations, Rayquaza was not taking me seriously, it felt as though it was merely testing me to see if I was a worthy opponent. Of course, I couldn't say I'm surprised regarding the princess; she also confronted it while protecting her family and friends with the assistance of her and her husband's Terapagos when they transformed. Whereas I couldn't make a dent in the creature, she had beaten it with an unknown Z-Crystal and Z-Move and gained its approval."

"If by testing you, you are saying it is...toying with you, correct? That Rayquaza is a Pokémon beyond our comprehension based on your observations."

"I promise you this, I won't let Rayquaza slip away next time given what we now know!"

"That's if the princess and her entourage don't seize him first with how she and those Terapagos with her had gotten its approval... The path to my beloved paradise of Laqua; as we now know, Rayquaza and the Terapagos that confronted it for a short time are the keys. You must find a way to obtain them to fulfill our ultimate goal. I'm trusting you with this mission, Amethio, so don't, let, me, down. I mean it," Gibeon finished before he ended the meeting and his holographic monolith vanished.

"Well, Amethio, your audience with Master Gibeon has ended and your new mission is upon you. Is there anything else you want to ask of me?" Hamber questioned as he and Amethio exited the briefing room.

"Yes, as a matter of fact, I do; I need more power if I'm to challenge Rayquaza once more. Will you take me in as your pupil again and train me?" Amethio requested.

"I've taught you all I could throughout your time, Amethio. If it's also to take a chance at Lazuli given her current skill set, I'm afraid you might be at an impasse. I took her in as my pupil years ago after you and the others brought her in for her power but she stubbornly refused to indulge in it despite her immense progress. What could you possibly hope to achieve if you train with me again?"

"I know that! But, don't try to dodge the question; I'm talking about what happens after that. I need more power and I'll go through hell and back to obtain it even if it's to beat the traitor, destroy the princess, ANDcapture Rayquaza."

Hamber soon understood where he was getting at, accepting his request as he nodded and told him, "I understand. Normally, I would've refused given your position. But, since you're determined, we shall start immediately if that is what you wish... Dusknoir? It seems we're needed."

"Yes, Master," Dusknoir nodded as he appeared beside Hambar from the shadows, knowing where he was going upon seeing Amethio and his determination.

Moments later, Hamber and Dusknoir brought Amethio to the base's training facility to begin the top agent's private lessons and help him improve his and his partners' skills and power.

Amethio soon brought out Ceruledge to begin the first of his new private lessons with Hamber and get stronger for his next confrontation against Rayquaza, "Let's go, Ceruledge."

"I'm with you, Master," the evil Fire Blades Pokémon agreed, getting into a battle stance.

"You may have the first attack whenever you're ready," Hamber obliged as he and Dusknoir allowed them to go first.

"Now, Ceruledge, use Psycho Cut!" Amethio began, allowing Ceruledge to use Psycho Cut against the Gripper Pokémon.

"Dusknoir, use Shadow Ball," Hamber countered, having Dusknoir use Shadow Ball to stop the Psychic attack and create a cloud of smoke.

"Conceal yourself with the smoke! Then, attack Dusknoir using Night Slash!"

"Now, use Shadow Punch, behind you."

Amethio had his Ceruledge try to attack Dusknoir from behind with Night Slash using the smoke as cover but Dusknoir, upon Hamber's sharp eye and swift command, turned around and countered Night Slash with Shadow Punch (consequently activating Ceruledge's Weak Armor ability despite how super effective the powerful Ghost Type attack was).

"Hmm, Weak Armor?" Hamber quipped.

"That's right, now keep up the pressure, Ceruledge! Use Bitter Blade, let's go!" Amethio spat, having Ceruledge charge forward thanks to his increased speed only for Dusknoir to catch him with his arms before he could land a hit. "What's this?!"

"Now, Dusknoir, Shadow Ball at point-blank range!"

With Ceruledge stopped dead in his tracks, Dusknoir managed to land his powerful long-range Ghost Type attack at point-blank range and knock him back.

"Don't give in! Use Phantom Force!"

"Got it!" Ceruledge agreed.

Trying to go for a different tactic, Amethio and Ceruledge tried to use Phantom Force to get the drop on their superiors, however...

"Dusknoir?"

Not needing to be told twice, Dusknoir darted towards the Fire Blades Pokemon and grabbed him before he could fully vanish inside the portal made by Phantom Force, causing Amethio to gasp in shock before Hamber explained, "I don't suppose you've forgotten that Dusknoir is called the Gripper Pokemon for a reason, Amethio. No matter what you and Ceruledge try to outwit him, he will always have you in the palms of his hands. Shadow Ball again, Dusknoir!"

"As you wish, Master!" affirmed Dusknoir, throwing Ceruledge back out and forcing him to cancel Phantom Force before launching another Shadow Ball at him.

"Dodge it, now!" Amethio barked, having his partner slice Shadow Ball in half before it could hit him again. "I see, Dusknoir has no blind spots for me to hit as far as I can see."

"Does that mean you concede defeat in this exercise, Master Amethio?"

"Absolutely not! Ceruledge, Psycho Cut, go!"

Not wanting to accept defeat, Amethio and Ceruledge continued to fight with the Fire Blades Pokémon using Psycho Cut as he went at his maximum speed before jumping into the air, spinning around, and launching his Psychic Type attack at the Gripper Pokémon.

"Shoot it down, Dusknoir, use Shadow Ball!" Hamber added as Dusknoir countered Psycho Cut with yet another Shadow Ball. "Now, corner him with Shadow Punch!"

Dusknoir came at Ceruledge with Shadow Punch again. However, the Fire Blades Pokémon avoided the first two punches thanks to his increased speed before he ended up with his back along one of the training area's walls with his fellow Ghost Type readying himself to come at him with one final Shadow Punch attempt.

"Now, Shadow Punch to finish him off!"

"Not this time, Hamber! Ceruledge, grab hold!" Amethio gritted his teeth, allowing Ceruledge to grab Dusknoir's right arm before he could land the final bow on him which surprised Hamber as he noticed what they were doing.

"Hey! Ngh-You blithering-! Inconceivable-ugh! What is this nonsense?! Unhand me, this instant!" Dusknoir snapped in annoyance as he tried to shake Ceruledge off his right arm.

"Not in your life, Dusknoir!" Ceruledge sneered as he maintained his grip, trusting Amethio on whatever plan he had in mind.

"Ceruledge! Hang in there!"

"This is most unbecoming of you, Dusknoir! Shake Ceruledge off and finish the job!" Amethio and Hamber called out to their partners before Dusknoir finally flung Ceruledge off his right arm.

"Phantom Force!"

Seeing their chance, Ceruledge disappeared using a complete Phantom Force attack, appearing in front of Dusknoir thanks to the element of surprise before he struck him down and caused the Gripper Pokémon to crash into the ground (effectively landing a single hit on him).

"It's done, Master," Ceruledge replied to Amethio, ready to continue if needed.

"Good work, Ceruledge," Amethio nodded, revering his partner's success and readying himself to fight again.

Hamber was impressed with Amethio's tactic as he commended his pupil's ingenuity, "Interesting, it appears you've decided to utilize the element of surprise by fighting in such a manner even though you and Ceruledge would be putting yourselves at risk of losing."

"Are you mocking me for my and Ceruledge's new tactic today?" Amethio huffed in response, thinking Hamber was babying him and Ceruledge.

The butler just chuckled as he clarified, "What nonsense! Far from it, I'm just merely impressed, that's all! I see now that your earlier desire for power was indeed genuine and you've proven that by taking such a risk during our exercise, well done."

"Of course, I decided to get stronger by any means necessary. If it means getting a chance to combat that Rayquaza again..."

"I see...a noble goal in your aspect, on behalf of all of us. In that case," Hamber began again as he brought out a Tera Orb from his jacket, planning to go all out with Terastallization. "I shall push forward in response to your wish and not hold myself and Dusknoir back."

Amethio grimaced in realization when he saw Hamber's Tera Orb and Ceruledge steeled himself before the top agent muttered, "Are you finally willing to go all out with Terastallization, Hamber?"

"I shall do what I must for your sake. Now, Dusknoir, wander the abyss and unleash your dark light!"

Charging his Tera Orb and throwing it to his partner, Hamber allowed Dusknoir to access his Ghost Type Tera Form to begin the final part of Amethio's first private lesson with them.

"Now, use Shadow Ball."

"Use Psycho Cut and cut that Shadow Ball to shreds!"

Ceruledge charged towards the powered-up Shadow Ball attack and used his blades to cut through Shadow Ball and create a cloud of smoke to shield himself from his Terastallized superior. But, thanks to the power of Terastallization, Dusknoir was stronger, faster, and sharper as he anticipated the element of surprise they were trying to pull for a second time.

"Shadow Punch and knock him down!" Hamber called, having Dusknoir dart at Ceruledge with great speed and landed Sucker Punch on his chest.

That one supercharged Shadow Punch was too much for Ceruledge to handle as he was sent flying back before crashing into the wall behind Amethio, effectively ending Amethio's first private lesson.

"Ceruledge, no!"

"And, I do believe that concludes your first private lesson."

"Return, Ceruledge," Amethio replied as he recalled his partner and thought over his previous folly while Dusknoir returned to his normal form. "So, that's it; the Shadow Ball from earlier was nothing more than a feint."

"Now, then... I presume you are satisfied with the results, Master Amethio?" Hamber pondered vaguely, knowing what his answer would be.

"Not likely, Hamber. I humbly ask for a rematch," Amethio rebuked, deciding to continue his private lessons.

Back with the heroes on Dragonstone Island, after getting everyone acquainted with her fellow villagers, Marena led the heroes to her home: a large cottage a short distance from Lysa in the forest outskirts. It was surrounded by a small garden bursting with vibrant flowers and other gardens sporting colorful blooms, medicinal herbs, dragon-friendly plants, and a small pond with the entire area and cottage nestled underneath towering pine trees.

From the outside, the cottage was crafted from aged and weathered timber, its roof pitched with dark wooden shingles contrasting with the walls' lighter wood. There were also intricate dragon motif carvings adorning the beams that supported the roof and a small porch extended from the front, furnished with a wooden bench and pots overflowing with herbs and flowers. Even the front door was elegantly made, having been reinforced with iron bands featuring dragon-shaped handles.

"Whoa..." the heroes breathed at the sight of the home of the Dragonstone Clan leader.

Arven gave an impressed whistle as he could only comment, "What a pad..."

Marena chuckled at them as she led them into her home, allowing the heroes to see how warm and inviting it was from the interior. The decor is an eclectic mix of dragon-themed artifacts and cozy furnishings with the main living area boasting a stone fireplace with a mantelpiece lined with jade and obsidian dragon figurines, sturdy oak furniture upholstered in rich fabric, and dragon-themed tapestries hanging on the walls.

"Wow... This place is amazing, Marena!"

"You were really looking for a modern aesthetic with a traditional twist with what you were doing when you made this," Lillie and Goh commented in amazement.

"It's so peaceful, I've never seen or been inside a house as cozy as this."

"Even our dorm rooms pale in comparison to this."

"Tell me about it, the craftsmanship you've put into this place would put that of a professional male carpenter to shame!" Mela, Drayton, and Giacomo noted in awe.

"Yeah!"

"They're back!"

"Hello in there!"

"Mom, Dad!"

"Surprise!"

"We're here~!" screeched a happy chorus of voices as the front door was slammed open.

Everyone turned to the front door and saw two groups of Pokémon Race and Sarah briefly caught during their time as exchange students for Blueberry Academy came into Marena's house coming over to greet the royal couple:

- Race: Fairy the (female) Farigaraf, Guile the (male) Unova Braviary, Kevin the (male) Kingdra, Lola the (female) Lapras, Cameron the (female) Camerupt, Fern the (male) Superior, Sam the (male) Samurott, and Bonfire the (female) Emboar

- Sarah: Flynn the (male) Flygon, a male Galarian Slowking, a male Lapras, a male Bastidon, Venus the (female) Venasaur, a male Inteleon, Cinderace's love interest and rival - Chelsea the (female) Cinderace, and Aalto the (male) Primarina (who has a crush on Aqua)

"Guys!"

"What are you-!"

"WAAAH-OOUGH!" Race and Sarah gasped in shock, not expecting to see their Blueberry Academy Pokémon in Dragonstone before they darted towards and dogpiled them.

"Whoa! Ash, look at that!" Goh called.

"Holy cow!"

"Amazing!"

"Cool! Hey, where's a fellow Grookey when you need one?" Goh's Cinderace, Inteleon, and Grookey (despite not seeing a Grookey counterpart) cried in awe.

"Wow! Sarah, are these the Pokémon from Blueberry Academy you and Race made friends with?"

"Awesome!" Ash and Pikachu screamed with utter glee at the thought of new friends.

"Gaah! Yeah, but they were only temporary! We were exchange students during our time in Blueberry Academy when we caught them so why are they-?!" Sarah replied, unsure of what to say as she stuck her head out of the Blueberry Academy Pokémon dogpile she and Race were in.

Marena and Asha laughed as the Sea Witch told her charge, "You can thank your sister for bringing them here, Princess. I got a call from Director Cyrano and Director Clavell recently; Cyrano told us he'd sent them over to Uva Academy since they were missing you two like crazy after you left. He figured it was time they'd come back to you to cheer them up. I understood what he meant so Clavell and I secretly arranged with Asha to bring them here so they can live with you from now on, with Cyrano's blessings, I might add."

Sarah was shocked when she was told this but gave her sister the stink eye and scowled at her, "Asha...? Did you seriously ask Director Clavell, Marena, and Director Cyrano to bring them here?"

"Surprise, better you than me, Sis! But, it's true; I kept you in the dark about them since we wanted to surprise you. They've been a big help with the villagers and were excited to see you since they found out we'd be coming here for Diana's farewell party later tonight," Asha replied as she continued to laugh at her.

At this, the little princess couldn't help but whine at her, "...Why?!"

"Ugh! Well, I can't say I'm surprised; I mean, Chelsea and Aalto really took a liking to your Cinderace and Aqua so I guess love is not too far-fetched by all means, really," Race quipped as he stuck his head out of the Blueberry Academy dogpile and looked at his wife before they turned to the four Pokémon in question (with Sarah's Cinderace and Chelsea gently blushing at one another as they reunited and Aalto gave a blushing Aqua a gentle nuzzle).

"Oh, no!" groaned James and Nikki, realizing what Asha had done and they and the rest of their family don't have a say on the matter (AGAIN).

With the others, after getting Marena's permission, the rest of the heroes were allowed to explore the rest of her cottage.

With Liko, Dot, Roy, Quaxly, Sprigatito, Fuecoco, Hatenna, and Terapagos, they eventually came across Marena's bedroom, located beneath the cottage's sloping roof. It was a cozy retreat filled with soft cushions and furs with its bedframe carved with dragon motifs.

The young trio and their Pokémon were in awe of everything in the room but what took Liko by surprise was that she noticed a couple of pictures on Marena's bedside. They were of her, Lucius, and the Six Heroes during their time together with some photos having three of the small family of eight on them, some with Lucius and Marena together, and one of them being a group photo with all eight together as the family they once were.

"Hey, Rot, Dot, look at this!" Liko called, having Roy and Dot come over as they and their Pokémon looked at the photos.

"Hey, Liko, is that...?" breathed Roy in awe of the familiar figures in the photos.

"It can't be..." Dot added in stunned amazement.

"Yeah... Marena, Lucius, and the Six Heroes... She must've kept these pictures long after they were taken in her time...but they looked brand new," Liko replied, astonished by how the photos of the Sea Witch, the Ancient Adventurer, and the Six Heroes were over a century old but kept in pristine condition.

"I can't believe she kept all of this in top condition, they're all memories of their time together. It's true; she never forgot about them even if some of the Six Heroes thought differently and Rayquaza didn't know about it."

"She's amazing..."

"Yeah..."

The young recluse, the young adventurer, and the young girl didn't know what to think and neither did their partners as they were left in awe of Marena's efforts to ensure that whatever memories she had of her old family didn't fade away. But, as they looked around her room again, Roy then noticed something else on her bedside with the photos.

It was a book but from what they could tell from its appearance, it looked worn out. Miraculously, it hasn't even deteriorated and turned to dust given its current age and condition much to the trio's surprise.

"Hey, what on earth is this thing?" puzzled Roy as he carefully picked up the book.

"It looks like an old songbook... I didn't know Marena was interested in music back then," Dot admitted in surprise as she took the songbook and gently pushed its cover open.

After opening the old songbook, they saw what looked like a series of worn-out music pages with lyrics on them coupled with a series of music bars and notes in a specific sequence. They looked at the title that came with the music sequence and lyrics but all it said was: "Home in My Heart". Surprisingly, inside the songbook was another photo kept in miraculous condition that came with the song. Amazingly, it featured Lucius and Marena on what appears to be their wedding day sometime after they confessed their love to each other and tied the knot.

"It's Lucius and Marena again!"

"But, those outfits; this must've been taken on what looked like their wedding day...!"

"Yeah, and look at all of this with the photo. It looks like a sort of song they came up with."

"You mean... Lucius and Marena...had a song meant for each other...? And, they had it played on the day of their wedding?"

"Apparently," the stunned trio bantered while their Pokémon looked on, watched, and listened in awe.

Outside the cottage (as they couldn't join their mother figure and their acquaintances due to their giant sizes), watching the trio and their Partner Pokémon from an open bedroom window, Lapras, Arboliva, Entei, Kleavor, and Moltres listened in and looked at each in stunned shock. None of them thought that Marena would even think about them nor keep anything from their and Lucius' time with her. But, one look at the photos revealed the truth: Marena desperately wished for Lucius, them, AND Rayquaza to be a family again.

"Impossible...! She thought about us, all this time? I didn't think she'd kept her memories of our time together... I-I thought she'd-!" Moltres spluttered, feeling his heart wrenching like mad.

"Forgotten us...?" finished Entei with a sad but knowing look, getting a confirming nod from his brother figure.

"It's true, she confessed to us the entire truth. We've been with her for years since that fateful day; always looked at the pictures in her bedroom and remembered everything we did together since then... A sorrowful tear was shed now and then while thinking about you three, Leader, and Father," Kleavor continued, sighing sadly as he recalled Marena's sorrow and what they had been doing to help her cope with her fateful decision for them and the rest of their family. "Even then, what she had to do weighed heavily on her mind despite her noble intentions. We've since aided her and the Dragonstone Clan but everything changed when the princess appeared and ended the Dragon Wars that plagued Berk for the last three-hundred years."

"Dragon Wars?" puzzled a confused Lapras.

Entei growled as he controlled his sorrow and anger, trying to hide his tears while he confessed, "A tragic period for dragon-kind in these parts; a malicious dragon queen called the Red Death threw her fellow dragons into the fields of combat and waged war on the Vikings of Berk when she came into power. Many lives were lost during that time as she mercilessly slaughtered the dragons for food, eating them in turn when they didn't bring her enough to eat. The worst part is that...nobody knew the truth behind that madness. It was a cycle of death that had no end and we and all of Dragonstone were in the middle of it all..."

Lapras, Moltres, and Arboliva were horrified as the Ancient Volcano Pokémon continued, "We were unable to do anything and even Mother couldn't bring herself to stop the bloodshed after learning about the Red Death's brutality and murderous ways..."

However, the Axe Pokémon (despite his own sorrow and anger over the previous conflict) took over where Entei left off as he said to their sister and brothers, "But, there was a silver lining that came to end that dreadful cycle for good and that was the Sun Princess herself and her family. They're such wonderful humans, Pokémon, and dragons; they've managed to assist the Viking underdogs of Berk, Young Hiccup and Young Zenna, in befriending Toothless and Stryka when they came to the island in October of 2502 or 1010 in accordance to the Vikings' calendar."

The Ancient Olive, Malevolent, and Transport Pokémon looked at each other in confusion over that last tippet which got a chuckle out of Kleavor and Entei as they continued to tell them, "Even we didn't understand the specifics of how the Vikings monitor time compared to the humans of this era. Anyway, the princess and her family spent days helping them with their problems of fitting in with the other Vikings while trying to understand more about dragons but it all came to a head when the truth about their Viking progress became known through Hiccup and Zenna's friendships with Toothless and Stryka."

"What happened after culminated in a great battle against the Red Death following the princess and her Light Fury's capture by the Vikings which ended in the monster's death. After that, the princess and her Light Fury and Night Fury, Shadow and Winter, were chosen by Athi and Blizzard to succeed them as dragon-kind's rulers and Dragonstone's Dragon Princess, the young girl bestowed with their Animus treasure: the Dragon Heart Scepter."

Lapras was surprised to hear the names of the original two Dragonstone rulers as he then inquired, "Athi and Blizzard? The original rulers of this place, we've heard of those two according to what Mother told us after we and Father met her but what became of them afterward?"

Entei and Kleavor turned away sadly as the Volcano Pokémon replied, "They died after protecting the Spirits of Harmony while fighting against their dark counterparts and the Nameless God. After they were beaten, Rajhu, the Spirit of Life, placed their spirits in the scepter and he and his fellow spirits hid their Animus Gems in a safe location until they and their power would be needed again."

They then returned their attention to Lapras, Moltres, and Arboliva as Kleavor finished, "After Athi and Blizzard died, Mother, the Spirits, and her tribe decided to come here and live in peace for the past millennia. After that, she met us and Father and you all know the rest. Now, in this new era, they've returned and we've been in the little princess' service since to restore Dragonstone and its kingdom to their former glory and beyond. It greatly helps given we've been hearing rumors about Dragon Hunters and Dragon Trappers given how the kingdom had fallen and there is no sense of law and order in his area. Because of everything we've witnessed, Brother Entei and I understood why Mother had to separate us as she did. The question is, do you three understand why she had to do that now?"

The silence that followed was amazing; in truth, now that they have a firmer grasp on the reason why Marena had to split them, Entei, Kleavor, and Rayquaza up years ago, Lapras, Arboliva, and Moltres, finally do understand. They were shocked and astonished to hear what Marena and their brothers went through and they didn't think she'd lose anybody else other than Lucius. Now, though, after hearing that she was present when seeing her old friends pass away and going into hiding with her tribe and the Spirits of Harmony while watching over Dragonstone in silence and fighting against Dragon Hunters to save one of their own during that time, their supposed views of her following that fateful decision had turned upside down.

None of them knew what to say to Entei and Kleavor next.

But, the five Ancient Pokemon weren't the only ones astonished by what they heard. Concealed within the clouds above them and watching from above was none other than Rayquaza himself; now that he was back to his normal self and no longer in a frenzy as before, he was able to recall Marena and her previous words to him during her and the heroes' scuffle with him. Curious about what his old mother figure meant, he quietly tailed his family and the heroes to Dragonstone Island until they came across Marena's cottage.

Once they had arrived, he also began to listen in once his brothers and sister heard of Liko, Roy, and Dot's discovery of the memories of their time together with her and Lucius that had been preserved, the mention of the ancient couple's song, and everything that happened following the Sea Witch's fateful decision to separate her family for their own safety with their father figure's help and approval.

The Terastal Shiny Sky High Pokémon was taken aback by everything he had heard, making him reevaluate what he thought was the reason behind their being separated. Purring gently and now deep in thought, Rayquaza thought it best to remain a little longer and watch what happens next until it is time for him to go.

Dusk had fallen by the time the heroes made their way to the festival grounds at Freshwater Lake and Sarah and Race decided to introduce the Rising Volt Tacklers, Liko, Roy, Dot, Diana, and the Paldea School Gang to the rest of their family including the other members of the Dragonstone Patrol, the Fox Brothers: Nine, Sails, and Mangey Tails, Wild, Rory, and Leo of the Cat Pack (since they already knew Shade), and the Kitten Rescue Soldiers.

Of course, Diana and Orla fawned over Race's kittens as they meowed in greeting but much to Sprigatito's dismay, even Liko doted over them. She jealously pouted at the six kittens but Dil toddled over to and gently nuzzled her, making her sigh as she didn't want to be mad at the youngest member of the KRS.

Rooster gave off an impressed whistle as he commented to Sarah, "Man, you got some roster there, kid. Of course, not as impressive as us but a good one nonetheless."

"They sure are something, alright. I can hear that with how happy they sounded, for sure," Rabbit agreed with a spring in her step (no pun intended).

"Didn't think I'd see this much in one day and during what will be my final day and night with you all until next time. I have you two to thank for that," smiled Diana as she looked at Marena and Sarah.

Kukui laughed as he told the elderly adventurer about his best student, "That's true, she has that kind of effect on people and Pokemon!"

"This is pretty cool, Little Buddy, but are you seriously thinking about taking your dinos with us to Paldea? I get that they missed you but still..." Arven asked the little princess, wondering what she planned to do with her prehistoric and Smilodon companions.

"Well, I don't want to start a panic there and I don't want to give Iono anymore reasons to give my family and I more publicity than we already needed. But, I guess it wouldn't matter since everybody around the world including her had heard about the Adventure City incident involving them," Sarah sighed, knowing what would happen.

"But, you could still hide them inside your briefcase as you did with your mythical amigas," Nemona suggested.

"Double true... And, there's the fact I made a second Pokemon Dragon Heart Dome for my, Race, and Asha's summerhouse in Cabo Poco so I guess it won't be too much of a hassle to put them there AND keep them out of sight."

Lazuli nodded until she thought about the dinosaurs and a devilish grin came across her face before she sniggered, "Aw, man, I just got a killer idea. Since the Explorers know nothing about your dino pals, why not give them the surprise of their lives when they strike again?"

Sarah was surprised when she heard this but she thought it over and nodded in agreement, seeing the logic behind the idea.

In hindsight, the swordswoman had a point; the Explorers, as far as they know, had no clue about Chomp and the other dinosaurs in her and Race's care and like everybody else, they believed them to be extinct. So, using their skills and abilities against them using the element of surprise again would give them a hard time and another reason why they, Hamber, and Gibeon should stop messing around with her and her family.

She was further convinced when Bumpy came up to her and got on her hind legs, forcing her to catch the little Ankylosaurus by her forelegs before she pulled off the sad puppy dog eyes (which she tried to avoid but couldn't) until...

"...Oh, I guess it won't hurt to have them back in the fray. At least they'll help us give them Explorers a thrashing when they rear their ugly heads again and as long as Billy stops giving me that face!" she sighed in defeat.

"YAAAAAAAAAY!" Billy chirped as she jumped happily.

"If you'll permit me to speak, Sarah, do you know where these Spirits of Harmony you and Marena mentioned could be? Since they're the festival's honorary guests, it makes sense that they should be here for tonight," Ludlow inquired as he joined the group, his mind on the Spirits of Harmony.

"I don't know, they were supposed to be here at Freshwater Lake but they must've been caught up in diplomatic matters," Sarah pondered before a trumpet fanfare was heard, causing the citizens and the heroes to turn to the source of the fanfare featuring a male NightWing squire as he stepped forward to introduce the Spirits.

"Presenting the Spirits of Harmony, the guardians of Dragonstone: Master Sol, the Spirit of Knowledge; Master Rajhu, the Spirit of Life; Mistress Ashia, the Spirit of Order; Mistress Nuraiah, the Spirit of Peace; Master Zjhiben, the Spirit of Prosperity; and Master Jhayli, the Spirit of Luck!"

A second fanfare sounded off soon after as a male RainWing squire joined the NightWing squire and cleared his throat before...

"Ahem...! Their royal highnesses of the Lost Continent and Distant Kingdoms: Queen Glory of the RainWings, Queen Ruby of the SkyWings, Queen Thorn of the SandWings, Queen Moorhen of the MudWings, Queen Coral of the SeaWings, Queen Snowfall of the IceWings, Queen Sequoia of the LeafWings, and Queen Jewel of the SilkWings!"

In an entrance inspired by the arrival of King Triton from Disney's The Little Mermaid (1989), the Six Spirits and the Eight Queens arrived to the cheers and applause of everybody gathered for the festival as they marched or flew towards Freshwater Lake in grand splendor.

To add to the grandeur of their formal arrival, Sol conjured a large fireball and threw it into the sky before Glory and her fellow queens fired their respective dragon breaths at the fireball and it exploded to form a fireworks shower of glittering leaves, fire snow, earth, silk, water, and air which intensified the cheers and applause from everyone.

"Whoa..." gasped the Rising Volt Tacklers and Paldea School Gang in amazed awe.

"Cooooool!"

"... Groovy!" Terapagos and Pikachu commented in amazement as their and Fuecoco's eyes twinkled.

"HE'S HUGE!" squealed a staggered Fuecoco as he took in Sol's size, realizing he was even bigger than Lucius' Rayquaza.

"That's a happy thought," Quaxly gulped with a stiff nod.

"And, that one's not a Ninetales but an actual nine-tailed fox!" Sprigatito added, astonished as she looked at Rajhu and saw how completely different he was to a Kanto or Alolan Ninetales.

Landing together, the Eight Queens joined the Six Spirits and noticed the heroes, coming over to greet them and welcome Sarah back to her secondary kingdom.

"Right here, Sarah~!" chuckled Nuraiah in a playful tone, getting the little princess' attention.

"Nuraiah, girls, everyone! I'm so glad to see you! My family and I have so much to tell you, a lot has happened since Asha, Race, and I enrolled in Uva Academy!" Sarah grinned as she joined them.

"Whole lots!"

"Lots and lots!"

"Yeah!"

"Hi!" Chili, Rosie, Crest, and Topaz chirped with happy grins as they appeared on her shoulders and head with Larmina nodding in agreement as she, Garnet, and Race came up beside her.

"We can see that, our little Dragonstone protege," smiled Queen Sequoia as she gently rubbed Sarah's second Terapagos and her evolved Paldea Starters with one of her fingers.

"Your recent adventures are worth a listen, Reader has been keeping us updated on your latest plights with Marena and your new friends," added Queen Jewel as she eyed the Rising Volt Tacklers, the Paldea School Gang, Diana, Liko, Roy, Dot, and their partners.

"Wait, you mean, Reader was here?" Liko pondered tentatively as she, Roy, Dot, Diana, and the Rising Volt Tacklers came over before said NightWing arrived as she touched down in front of the group.

She couldn't help giggling and giving off a flick of her wings as she told them, "There's no way I would ever miss out on something like this in my life!"

"And, you are, I assume, the renowned Circle of Twelve where you all originally hailed from," remarked Queen Thorn as she turned to Hu, Mistral, and their fellow Zodiacs.

"That's...us, ladies!" grinned Sydney.

"It is truly an honor for us Zodiacs to meet royalty such as you in addition to Hu's apprentice. And, under more peaceful and friendlier circumstances, I might add," Mistral replied.

"Apprentice, eh? That's a story I can't wait to hear from our little girl herself," Moorhen chuckled with content.

"We're honored by your presence. And, we've heard much about you people, the ones they called the 'Rising Volt Tacklers' and the students of Paldea's Uva and Blueberry Academies," Queen Coral noted as she turned her attention to the Rising Volt Tacklers and the Paldea School Gang.

"Gracias, Your Highnesses."

"Thank you," Nemona and her classmates thanked politely.

"Apart from me but it's an honor for all of us to be here tonight," Diana smiled.

Night fell as the Eight Queens and the Six Spirits showed the heroes around the festival after it came in full swing with their presence. Lysa's party atmosphere truly sprung to life with the pitching of intricately designed tents and pavilions woven from natural materials such as bamboo decorated with colorful banners depicting dragon motifs and symbols resembling the Six Spirits themselves.

At the center of the Harmony Crest Festival stood Crested Grove marked by ancient Dragonstone monoliths encircling a serene pool of reflective clear water. A network of paths winds through the festival grounds with each lined with dragonfire crystal lanterns that cast a warm ethereal glow leading to various attractions and activity areas throughout the area including:

- a giant recreational arena where Dragon Riders can showcase their skills in aerial acrobatics, dragon racing, and combat demonstrations atop grandstands constructed from woven pipes for spectators

- a bustling dinner or banquet area lined with long wooden tables filled to the brim with seasonal fruits, fragrant herbs, and savory dishes

- a marketplace displaying the best of Dragonstone's craftsmanship amongst stalls that offer dragon-inspired jewelry, intricate tapestries, and hand-carved artifacts

The heroes were shocked and astonished by the size of the Harmony Crest Festival, realizing that it would be a perfect party for them to say goodbye to Diana until the next time they meet her (given her plans to go solo to carry out her investigation into the Explorers) as Roy, Liko, Dot, their partners, the elderly adventurer, Friede, Cap, and Johnathan spoke on everyone's behalf, "Whoa, this is awesome!"

"Wow!"

"It's incredible...!"

"ROCK OUT!"

"Neat!"

"Sweet!"

"This is absolutely wonderful!"

"Now, there's a party we can get behind tonight!"

"One where we can totally let loose to celebrate Diana's departure and wish her luck!"

"I couldn't have put it better myself, ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!"

The Terapagos Four cooed cheerfully as they thought the festival and everything in it to be great fun, wanting to see as much as they could which earned them head rubs by their human parents.

Of course, since they loved to eat, Plagg and his fellow Kwamis, Ash, Pikachu, Fuecoco, Roy, Sophocles, Togedemaru, Vikavolt, Fishlegs, and Meatlug made a beeline for the festival's grand feast which showcased dishes made from Dragonstone's local ingredients such as dragonberries, seaweed, and wild game.

"Don't eat the festival's entire feast out of house and home, you guys! That food is for all of us and the villagers had put in a lot of time and effort to make all of that!" Sarah exclaimed to them.

"Can't hear ya!"

"Eat now, talk later!" they shouted back with their mouths full, getting a defeated sigh and shrug from the little princess.

Friede just laughed as he remarked, "Well, we don't have to worry about their healthy appetites leaving them high and dry!"

"That's one way of putting it for our hungry-happy mob!" agreed Kukui who was just as amused.

Queen Glory chuckled in agreement as she reassured Sarah, "There's plenty to go around tonight."

"And, the food regenerates so we don't have to worry about having enough for everyone while they have their fill. Plus, your young friends gave us a few tippets on how to make your Famous Curry Four earlier, didn't they?" smiled Queen Jewel.

"...They did?" Sarah blinked.

"...Uh, Marena...?" Liko began as she, Dot, and Roy approached the Sea Witch (having brought her songbook with them to the festival). "We were wondering, well..."

"What is it?" Marena asked before she gasped in shock, seeing her songbook in Liko's hands before she took it and looked it over. "Where did you kids get this?"

"From your bedside while we snooped around in your room, sorry..."

"But, we looked through it and found a song you and Lucius made for each other... Um, would it be alright if you... Well...sing it for us?" Roy and Dot requested.

Marena was surprised as she tried to make an excuse to back out, especially after seeing Entei, Kleavor, Lapras, Arboliva, and Moltres' eyes (along with Rayquaza's unbeknownst to the heroes) on her, "Oh, uh, no... I-I, uh... No, no, no..."

"Come on, Marena! Just give it a go!"

"Yeah... It, well... It would be good for the heroes to hear you sing and do it with you for tonight's show."

"No, I haven't sung in years since our wedding. And, that was a long time ago."

"Please, Marena, do it for Lucius' sake and Entei, Lapras, Arboliva, Moltres, and Kleavor's, too!"

"Pleeeeeeeease?" pleaded Sprigatito, Quaxly, and Fuecoco, wanting to hear her and the Six Heroes sing as well.

Marena tried to come up with an excuse again but the words she wanted to say got stuck in her throat. Eventually, she looked back at the Six Heroes and saw Entei and Kleavor giving her encouraging smiles and nods, wanting her to agree to the young trio's request. Finally, realizing that Liko, Roy, and Dot backed her into a corner, the Sea Witch finally gave in.

"Oh... Alright."

"Yeah/Alright!" Liko and Roy cheered with Quaxly, Sprigatito, and Fuecoco sharing their enthusiasm.

"Thanks, Marena," smiled Dot softly.

Meanwhile, over at the Explorers' base, Amethio had finished more private lessons with Hamber through several rematches with him and Dusknoir as Gibeon's right-hand man approached him and Ceruledge. Throughout his training, the butler became increasingly intrigued with how his protege after Lazuli had progressed since the first lesson even if the top agent would beg to differ.

"Well done, Master Amethio. Your progress since this morning has been remarkable, do you and Ceruledge feel any different now?" Hamber inquired.

"No... While we're satisfied with our recent training, it feels as though we lack something. I'm not ready to take on Rayquaza again but I will get there no matter what," Amethio admitted, knowing Sarah still outclassed him but will do whatever it takes to best Rayquaza himself.

Hamber nodded, understanding where his student was going as he handed him his Tera Orb, "That kind of understanding and your wish to be better than the princess to challenge Rayquaza once more is impressive. Your knowledge of the need to push yourself after knowing your own faults will also propel you to greater heights that the others could only hope to achieve just as it had with Master Gibeon. Take this and good luck."

Amethio blinked as he eyed his teacher's Tera Orb, "You're giving me your Tera Orb?"

"Mmm... But, remember, whether or not you can draw out the full power of Terastallization just as the princess and I had ultimately falls on you and the bond you share with Ceruledge. Only then will you be able to challenge Rayquaza to a duel and attempt to catch it again."

"So, you're telling me to master Terastallization in my own way? Alright, I accept. And, by learning the secrets of Terastallization, I will gain the power I need to rival that of Rayquaza and best it as the princess did! Mark my words!" Amethio vowed as he accepted Hamber's Tera Orb.

However, little did he and Hamber know that Spinel and Chalce were spying on them through the former's Beheeyem, transmitting their private lessons through a secret video feed to them in their workspace.

"Interesting, it seems Hamber has taken a shine to Amethio just as he once did with Lazuli before she abandoned and betrayed us," Chalce stated as she and Medicham joined Spinel and Umbreon.

"Then, we'll leave them to it. While Amethio may pursue Terastallization to best Rayquaza next time, we, on the other hand, will capture it through the data on the resonance reaction of Terapagos," Spinel replied, undeterred by Amethio's progress.

"Of course, and with all the data we have and after we make a new plan of attack, wewill be the ones to seize Rayquaza and end the princess before she and her family and friends have the chance to reunite with it," the Medicham agent said, trusting what Spinel had in mind.

Returning to Dragonstone, as per Liko, Roy, and Dot's request, Marena was with Lapras, Kleavor, Entei, Arboliva, and Moltres on the newly built stage for the festival's entertainment performances as they prepared to sing her and Lucius' song from their wedding day (the six of them having been given special head microphones to help them with their singing as they would also be performing it for Diana and in Lucius' memory). The Sea Witch was nervous and had butterflies fluttering about in her stomach with everyone watching her and her family (including Rayquaza from the skies above) but steeled herself for the performance as Kalahari, Aloe, and some SandWing Dragonet musicians began playing their song's melody.

Everybody cheered loudly for the five Ancient Pokémon and the Sea Witch with Liko and the heroes (especially Diana) enamored by their performance but they weren't the only ones in awe of their musical number as Rayquaza was also left speechless by what he had seen and heard from below him.

The Terastal Shiny Legendary was left stunned by everything he had witnessed and hearing his old team and Marena sing her and Lucius' wedding day song had made him more sympathetic to his master's wife. If anything, seeing his old team reunited after so many years and gelling with Marena again as if nothing had happened made him feel...happy for her.

Wanting more time to think about her wish for him to rejoin their family and find Lucius should the time come for the heroes' next encounter with him, he quietly flew off into the sky and disappeared without a trace. With a newfound perspective of his old mother figure, he had a lot to think about.

A little later, Diana and Liko decided to spend some time together in another area of the festival as the others continued to enjoy themselves after Marena and her family performed her and Lucius' song. As the elderly adventurer would be parting ways with the heroes the following day upon their return to Paldea, they wanted to make the most of what time they had left together. Not only that but Liko also wanted to thank her grandmother for helping her take the first step on her journey that led her to becoming the Pokémon trainer she is now and for entrusting her with Terapagos back when he was only a pendant.

"Are the others still having fun out there?" Diana asked knowingly.

"Yeah, it'll be a while before we go to bed. The party bug's bitten everyone given what they're doing before and after that performance Marena and her family gave," Liko replied, smiling.

"I see, it's a nice thing for you and your friends to request such a thing from her. The song you three found this morning is what she needed to make herself feel better after everything she went through with us."

The young girl smiled and nodded, briefly keeping quiet to gather her thoughts until she told Diana, "Grandma, thanks for everything. You know, for entrusting me with the pendant and helping me start my journey."

"Really...?"

"It's just like you said before I went to Indigo Academy; the only scary part about adventures is the first step. After taking that first step, I'm no longer afraid; I've since learned to speak my mind and discovered new horizons I had no idea about before now. Loads of stuff did scare me since I began my journey but I'm not too worried about them because my friends were right by my side. It's been non-stop excitement for us everywhere we went."

Diana smiled knowingly as she recalled all the people her granddaughter met including Roy, Dot, Sarah, her family, and her friends, "You've changed so much since the day I gave you Terapagos and I'm happy you have some real good friends to watch over you."

"Yeah..."

She then took out a blank blue journal and handed it to Liko as she told her, "Watching you all having fun out there while helping each other out during your lows and highs reawakened the adventurer within me, so... Take this, I'm sure it'll come in handy along the rest of your journey."

Liko blinked as she held the journal she was given before she asked, "Hey, Grandma... Is this...your adventure log?"

"I'll be off on a new adventure or two when we arrive in Paldea so I think it'll be best to leave it with you."

"Grandma, I..."

Liko was amazed that her grandmother was leaving a memento of adventure to her and in appreciation, wanting to give her a parting gift, she produced a small blue friendship bracelet, "Here, I got something for you, too. To wish you good luck, really..."

"Liko, it's beautiful," Diana smiled as she observed the bracelet on her left wrist.

"I was taught how to make one of those bracelets by a friend from school. Since you trusted me with the pendant, I thought I'd give you a charm to remember us by."

"Thank you, Liko... I'll keep it with me, always. From tomorrow, I'll leave Terapagos in your hands, Sarah's, and those of her family and friends."

"I won't let you down, Grandma. Bye, Arcanine, please take care of Grandma for me..."

"Don't worry about us too much, kid. Take care of yourselves," smiled Arcanine.

"Liko, Liko!" Squawkabilly chirped cheekily, getting a laugh out of them, Arcanine, Sprigatito, and Terapagos.

The next day (on the 29th of July), Friede and everyone else dropped Diana off at the next port they came across, allowing her to begin conducting her investigation into the Explorers and their motives involving Laqua and what they wanted to find there with Liko waving goodbye to her as the elderly adventurer, Arcanine and Squawkabilly went on their next adventure alone.

While Diana's departure was a damper for some of the heroes, Reader, Bumpy, the rest of Sarah and Race's dinosaurs, and their Blueberry Academy Pokémon tagged along with them for the rest of their journey (since Reader had another vision of the Explorers and discovered that Spinel and Chalce along with Coral and Sidian also have their sights set on Rayquaza). Naturally, Ash, Goh, the Pokémon School Gang, Kukui, and Burnet planned to leave later to continue their own journeys but they decided to stay with the group a little longer so they could make sure the others wouldn't get into too much trouble before they take off.

As they made their way to Paldea, the heroes stood on the respective decks of their aircraft as they prepared to begin the next stage of their journey together.

"No matter what happens, we'll find the last of the Six Heroes and the final member of Marena and Lucius' family."

"Yeah, the Shiny Rayquaza..."

"The very Pokémon that once traveled with Lucius and Marena themselves!" Friede, Roy, and Orla vowed.

"You went to this Laqua place with Marena and Lucius, too, didn't you?" Mollie smiled at Terapagos who cooed and babbled at her. "Well, let's stick together so we'll help you regain your true power: your Stellar Form!"

"We'll walk our new path with you, little guy!"

"And, reuniting all of the Six Heroes as we do so!"

"Opening the path to Laqua!" Friede, Murdock, and Orla added.

Terapagos (feeling grateful to his new family and old one) toddled over to Liko as she told him, "I promise, Terapagos, I'll take you to Laqua."

"It's all so mysterious, it's got my heart racing like there's no tomorrow!" Dot exclaimed, feeling excited about the mystery of Laqua.

"And, we only need Rayquaza to find our way forward to it," Roy nodded, clenching his fist with determination.

"Then, we'll continue our investigation into our Ancient Pokémon, starting with our return to Paldea to continue our research into Terapagos!"

"Let's do it!" Cap grinned as everybody in their respective groups put their hands and fists out.

"Rising Volt Tacklers, Power Rangers Ultra Rescue, Uva and Blueberry Academy Students, Alolan Royal Family...ROLL OUT!"

To Be Continued...
