Today is Serena's first debut in a Pokémon contest. Going up against quite a bit of other Coordinators, she's feeling very nervous. Yet, she thinks about the training that she did with Dawn to prepare her for this moment. Serena looks around and sees many other boys and girls as they all are prepared for the contest. Even looking to Miette, her main rival. Knowing that Miette has more courage than she does; but doesn't let it get to her. She looks at the tv, knowing the first round is to begin soon.
As for Ash, Misty, Pikachu, Dawn, Kenny and Iris. They also eagerly await in anticipation for Serena's first appearance to come out on the stage. The judges, Mr. Contesta, Mr. Sukizo and Nurse Joy are also very eager to see how well each contestant would do. Back with Serena, she decided to brush her hair a bit. As she did this, another girl came up to her.
"Hello. Would you like some help?' the young girl asked. Serena looked up at her. She had brunet hair, with a spikey tuft on her forehead, with curly pig tails. One set that curled out the both sides of her head and the other two that went over them. Her eyes were light green, her skin tan. Her shirt was a dark purple with three black bows on it and black circles on the edges of her short sleeves. She had on very small denim shorts with black frills on it and dark pink ballet type shoes with short heels and matching ankle cuffs. On her right wrist she had a dark pink wrist band and a black frilly bobble. She closed her eyes smiling. "I'd be more than happy to help you." She told her.
Serena was taken back at this as she blushed slightly from a little embarrassment. Yet, the other girl didn't seem embarrassed at all. "S-sure." Serena replied to her.
The girl sat down behind her and assisted Serena. "Sorry that I came up out of the blue like that. I saw you brushing your hair and thought you needed assistance. Especially since you look very nervous." She told Serena.
"Y-yes. I am nervous. But, how did you know?" Serena asked.
"I'm a bit nervous myself. Oh, my name is Shauna, by the way." Shauna told Serena.
"M-my name is Serena." Serena replied.
Shauna giggled. "Don't be so nervous. If you're nervous, then your Pokémon will sense it too." Shauna told her.
"Why are you telling me this? We're rivals, aren't we?" Serena questioned.
"We might be rivals, but it wouldn't be fair to me if I didn't give you advice." Shauna told her. "I'd like for my own rivals to be at the top of their game. I want to see their true potential." Shauna told her as she finished. "There! How's that?" she asked Serena.
Serena felt her hair and it felt amazing. The way Shauna brushed her hair was in a very calm manner. She looked at Shauna and saw that she was nervous, but she was willing to give it her all. That's one thing that helped to boost Serena's motivation and confidence.

On the stage, Lillian was set in the centers, ready to announce the first contestant. "Up first is Miette" Lilian announced before she got off the stage.
Everyone along with Ash, Misty, Dawn, Kenny, Iris, Serena and Shauna watched. Miette was now on stage, ready for her performance. She ran out and used the seals on her pokeball and threw it in the air.
"Come on out! Slowpoke." Miette called out.
Out from her Pokeball, a white light burst out and formed Slowpoke. The Water-Psychic type landed with ease. "Slowpoke slow. (I'm ready.)" the Pokémon told its trainer.
"Use Water-Gun then Psychic." Miette called out. From there, Slowpoke released water from its mouth and used Psychic to keep it levitating over the floor as it flowed around above the Pokémon. "Now disperse it." Miette called out. Slowpoke raised the water that was still flowing with Psychic into the air. Slowpoke spread it out before it dispersed it, causing the water particles to sparkle.
"Amazing! Slowpoke used Psychic to make its water flow before dispersing it over all of us in a beautiful sparkle." Lillian stated.
Ash, Misty, Dawn, Kenny and Iris watched in amazement of what Miette had done. Even Serena and Shauna were surprised as well. Miette had a very confident smile that her performance went incredibly well. The judges were also impressed at how well she did her performance.
"I must say. This truly was a great performance. Using Psychic to hold the water as it flowed before making it disperse shows really good talent." Mr. Contesta stated.
"I must say, remarkable." Mr. Sukizo commented.
"Slowpoke's Water-Gun and Psychic attacks looked incredible. Both strong and healthy." Nurse Joy added.
"It looked pretty simple though. Then again, this is the next contest." Dawn remarked.
"Not only that, but most of them are beginner Coordinators." Kenny remarked.
"I wonder how Serena will do once it's her turn." Misty wondered.
"However well she can do. I hope she is good enough to get past the first round." Iris stated.
It wasn't long after that a guy with a Kecleon managed to impress the judges as well. Along with a girl who had a Girafarig and a couple other contestants. Up next was Shauna as she began to walk out to the stage.
"Up next is Shauna!" Lillian gestured. Shauna had her eyes closed then opened them. The look on her face was of pure determination.
She grabbed the pokeball from her belt and tossed it. "Come on out, Vulpix!"
As she threw her pokeball, her Vulpix appeared. "Vul! (Ready!)"
"Quick Attack and then Flame Wheel!" Shauna commanded.
Vulpix did as it was told and did stunning combination, showing off Vulpix's soft fur.
"Now end it off with Hidden Power!" Shauna stated.
Hidden Power got caught in the embers of Flame Wheel, making Vulpix shine even more. The judges and the audience were stunned to this form of combination. Seeing how brilliant Shauna had done with her turn.
Afterwards, Serena got up and headed out to do her next performance. As she did, she saw Shauna coming back.
Serena complimented, "That was so amazing, Shauna!"
Shauna blushed out of embarrassment, "Thanks Serena. Good luck!"
"And now it is time for a contest debut! It's Serena!" Lillian announced.
Serena took a deep breath as she threw a pokeball from her belt. She tossed it, "Time to shine, Squirtle!"
As she threw her pokeball, her Squirtle appeared. "Squirt! (Hooray!)"
Serena commanded, "Bubble and then Tail Whip!"
Squirtle did as it was told. The bubbles shone brilliantly, showing Squirtle's shell. Tail Whip destroyed Bubble, making a bit of fireworks. The audience was in amazement from Serena's first performance as a coordinator. Miette looked impressed and annoyed. Knowing that Serena would be going onto the next stage. Shauna could tell that Serena had been training and she did a great job on her first performance.
"I must say. With how Squirtle used its tail to show off its shell with the use of Bubble was truly amazing." Mr. Contesta complimented.
"I must say, remarkable." Mr. Sukizo commented.
"The Bubble and Tail Whip were truly beautiful. An excellent combination." Nurse Joy commented.
Serena smiling, growing proud of her Squirtle and herself. Even Ash, Misty, Dawn, Kenny and Iris smiled at her performance. Not long after, the last remaining coordinators that did their best in the first round, were anxiously awaiting the results.
Up on the board it began to show the first-round picks. The first one was Shauna, due to fantastic performance, with Serena being fourth and Miette last. Miette gave off a 'humph', believing she did better than that. Shauna and Serena high fived, seeing they both were in the top. Miette merely walked over to Serena and Serena looked at her, being very curious.
"You think you have beaten me. That was just the first round. Wait until the battles start." Miette reminded her.
"I'd say she's ready." Shauna stated. Miette looked at her. "I can tell Serena's really talented, but you didn't seem to show much out there." Shauna informed her.
Miette leaned in close, which caught Shauna off guard as she leaned back, "I might not have as much talent; but I can easily make up for it in the battles." Miette told her before she walked off.
"Jeez! What's her problem?" Shauna wondered.
"Beats me. I wonder how we'll each do, though." Serena wondered.
"I know we'll both be fine, I'm not for sure about her though." Shauna said as she looked at Miette.
With Ash, Misty, Dawn, Kenny and Iris; they each smiled, knowing how great Serena was during her first performance.
"I'd say she has a chance." Kenny commented.
"She most definitely does." Dawn agreed.
"Piplup Pip! (I'm excited!)" Piplup said.
"Pika Pikachu. (Me too.)" Pikachu said.
"What's next, then?" Iris questioned.
"Don't you remember? While I was training her, I helped her out with contest battles. To show off the grace and beauty in battles." Dawn reminded Iris.
"Oh yeah!" Iris exclaimed.
In the crowd, however, another person was watching the contest as well. This person kept a close eye on Serena and smiled at how well she did in her first performance. Not much was seen from this person except for a blue jacket with three white stripes. One down the middle, the other two down the sleeves along with a red hat.
With the coordinators, the ones that made it to the final round were getting ready for the battle part. The others that didn't make it, went to the stands to see who would win in this round.
As they were getting ready, Serena was getting her Squirtle ready as she carefully polished its shell to help her Pokémon continue to look appealing. As she did a young boy walked up to her. She looked up to him and he had on a deep red shirt with a yellow thunderbolt on it, blonde hair, brown pants with black shoes with white socks and soles.
Serena instantly recognized him and stood up. Her Squirtle noticed this as well and turned around, both of them facing him. He was the same guy who she was going to face off against in the second round. "Hello, Serena. I'm Darren. I'm glad to be facing off against you." He told her as he offered his hand. This caught her off guard, but she eventually took it and they shook hands. "I must say. After seeing how well you showed off your Squirtle. I ca't wait to see how amazing your Squirtle is in the battle part." He told her. They stopped shaking hands and Serena looked surprised.
"You're anxious to face off against me?" she wondered.
"Of course, I am. My Kecleon is pretty strong, but your Squirtle looks like it can take it." He complimented her.
"R-really? I knew my Squirtle was strong, but I didn't know that strong." Serena replied. She knew she trained her Squirtle but didn't know how strong her Squirtle was. Her Squirtle looked up at her, smiling, full of confidence. She saw this and never knew how confidence felt now. Seeing the determination on its face, she knew she felt more confident and looked back to Darren. "I'm very eager for my first performance battle with you as well. I hope you give it your all." Serena requested from him.
He gave a couple of nods. "You got it and I expect the same from you." He requested as well.
"We're now ready for the first contest battle between Shauna and Haylee. There's a 5 minute limit for this battle." Lillian told everyone. Serena and Darren looked to the tv and saw that Shauna and Haylee had taken the stage. "Ready! Begin!" Lillian exclaimed.
Both coordinators grabbed their Poke balls.
"Come on out, Vulpix/Girafarig." Shauna and Haylee called out.
Both Pokémon burst out of their Pokeballs and called out their names, indicating they were ready.
"Use Will-O-Wisp" Shauna commanded. Vulpix fired a flame from its mouth.
"Use Psychic." Haylee commanded. Girafirig eyes glowed blue and controlled the fire to where it surrounded itself, making Shauna's points deplete. "Now disperse it." Haylee told her Pokémon. Girafirig did so and it glistened over the battlefield.
"Amazing! Girafirig used its Psuchic attack to make the emebrs shine all over the stage. Depleting Shauna's points." Lillian pointed out.
"Use Psybeam!" Haylee commanded. Girafirig fired a purple-pink zigzaggy blast towards Vulpix.
"Counter with Fire Spin." Shauna told Vulpix. Vulpix surrounded itself in fire and spun right into the Psybeam. This cancelled the attack and made a combination of both Psybeam and Fire Spin look dazzling.
"With only 3 minutes on the clock. It seems like Shauna might have a chance as she has managed to deplete a good bit of Haylee's points now. That's some way to use your opponents moves to your advantage." She told the audience.
"She's doing great!" Ash exclaimed.
"She definitely has this one." Dawn commented.
"Vulpix, use Ember." Shauna commanded. Vulpix did so as it launched the bits of fire from its mouth.
"Use Psychic to send it back." Haylee commanded. Girafirig did as it was told, and Shauna expected this.
"Use Flame thrower to dodge it." Shauna commanded it. Vulpix did as it was told and dodged it in time with such grace, making Haylee lose more points. "Now use Flame Wheel." Shauna commanded. Vulpix spun its body around in a flame and hit Girafirig.
"This is getting tense as Shauna is now in the lead. Using those three attacks to her advantage while also hitting her opponent. She might have lost a little as well, but it seems like she's regaining her ground. Especially with a minute to go." Lillian commented.
"There we go, Vulpix. Now Confuse Ray." Shauna called out. Vulpix began to release its Confuse Ray unto Girafirig.
"Quickly. Use Psybeam." Haylee ordered, but it was too late. Girafirig was hit by the Confuse Ray and was running around, a bit mad.
"Seems like Haylee's Girafirig is now in terouble and she's losing points." Lillian stated until the timer ran out. "Time's up! And the winner is, Shauna!" Lillian announced.
Shauna ran up to her Vulpix and vice-versa and Shauna hugged her Vulpix. "We did it! Great job, Vulpix." Shauna complimented her Pokémon.
"Vilpix vul vul! (That was great!)" Vulpix exclaimed excitedly.
"Seems like she did a great job." Dawn commented.
"I wonder how well Serena will perform in her first battle." Ash said, out of curiosity.
Shauna went to the back where the other coordinators were and Serena went up to her. "That was amazing. You did a great job with your battle and how well you showed off your Vulpix and its attacks." Serena complimented.
Shauna blushed slightly at her compliment. "Th-thank you. I will admit, I still have a ways to go in order for me to become a professional." Shauna told her. "Also, I think it's your turn after me." Shauna told her.
"It is her turn, along with mine." Darren said as he walked up to them. They both looked to him. "Serena. I hope you don't hold back. I want to see your fullest potential out there." He told her.
Serena nodded and smiled at him. "I would like the same from you as well." She replied to him.
"Up next is Serena and Darren." Lillian announced.
"Looks like we're up. I hope you're ready." Darren told her.
"As ready as I'll ever be." Serena said, a bit nervous.
"Nothing to be nervous about. Just keep your focus on how you and your Pokémon can perform." Shauna reminded her.
"Not only that, but have fun with the performance." Darren told her as well.
"Right! Understood." Serena replied to them.
From there the two of them went all the way to the entrance to the stage and faced each other in the hall way.
"Good luck to you." Serena told her as she extended her hand.
"Same with you. May the better coordinator win." Darren told her and he did the same.
They shook hands and went out to the stage and stood apart from each other. "Looks like the both of them are very determined to win this contest. Let's see who will go onto the next round. Five minutes on the clock. Ready! BEGIN!" Lillian called out.
Darren grabbed up his poke ball. "Let's get ready! Come on out, Kecleon." Darren called out. His poke ball burst open and his Kecleon appeared. "Kec kecleon. (I'm ready.)" his Pokémon said.
"Hmm!" Serena sighed gently, with her eyes closed as she grabbed her poke ball. She reopened her eyes, with a beaming smile. "It's time to shine! Squirtle!" Serena exclaimed as she threw her poke ball, making it spin.
The ball burst open and a white light formed her Squirtle. "Squirtle squirt tle squirtle! (I'm ready to shine!)" her Squirtle said.
"Let's show 'em what you're made of. Use Psybeam, Kecleon." Darren commanded. From the reptiles own eyes, it released a multicolored wavey beam at Squirtle.
"Use Withdraw." Serena called out. Squirtle withdrew into its shell and glowed blue around its shell and the Psybeam hit, enhancing the color around Squirtle's shell.
"Amazing! Rather than dodging it, Serena had Squirtle to Withdraw and take the hit directly, all while enhance the blue color around the shell." Lillian commented. Darren lost some of his points along with Serena and the timer was now at less than five minutes.
"Use Lick." Darren commanded. Kecleon released its tongue, but Serena was ready.
"Use Water Gun to jump over, then use Rapid Spin." Serena commanded. Squirtle used its Water Gun and flew over the tongue, then withdrew into its shell and spun incredibly fast, hitting Kecleon. This continued to reduce Darren's points.
"Try for a Scratch Attack." Darren told Kecleon. Kecleon attempted to scratch Squrtle.
"Use Water Gun, Squirtle." Serena commanded. Squirtle shot water from its mouth and that hit Kecleon, knocking the reptile back. This reduced Darren's points a bit more.
"Psybeam!" Darren called out. Very quickly, Kecleon used Psybeam and hit Squirtle directly. This caused Serena to lose more points as well.
"Use Rapid Spin." Serena called out. Squirtle withdrew once again and went straight at Kecleon with about two minutes left.
"Seems like these are getting tense in the contest, as these two are about neck and neck." Lillian stated as the timer was now below the two minute mark.
"Kecleon, dodge and use Lick." Darren called out. Kecleon jumped over Squirtle and shot its tongue out.
"Dodge with Water Gun, then use Rapid Spin." Serena called out. Squirtle quickly popped out of its shell and shot itself up with Water Gun avoiding the tongue. From there Squirtle went towards Kecleon. This made Darren lose more points as the clock was about at one minute.
"Man! This is tense. They're both great." Ash stated.
"I wonder who will win this one?" Misty wondered.
"You definitely trained Serena well, Dawn. Maybe you could give me a few pointers." Kenny told her.
"Will definitely show you pointers once we're done here." Dawn told him.
The timer was now less than one minute and the two of them getting close to losing their points.
"Now, Squirtle use Withdraw." Serena called out. Darren had ordered Kecleon to use Lick again, which wrapped around the shell. From there, it was almost at a draw.
"Times up! And, the winner is…Serena!" Lillian announced.
Serena looked like she was in shock and awe. Taking in her victory as gradually as possible. "W-w-we did it? YES! WE DID IT!" Serena stated as she smiled.
"From here, shell go onto the semi-finals." Lillian stated.
Squirtle ran to her and gave her a hug and Serena returned it. "We did it, Squirtle. We did it." She stated.
"Good job Kecleon. Return." Darren told his Pokémon as it went back into its poke ball. He walked over to Serena, and she looked up at him. "I must say, you did great." He told her as he extended his hand.
"Thanks so much!" Serena regarded, shaking his hand.
"That was beautiful!" Dawn gushed.
"Piplup! (Hooray!)" Piplup said.
"She did really well for her first contest battle." Misty stated.
"Now let's see how she does in the semi-finals." Ash replied.
"Pi pika chu. (Should be good.)" Pikachu said.
As the contest kept going, the next two trainers that faced off was also a close one while the boy gained the victory. As for Miette, she barely managed to gain her victory for the final four until she eventually won. As the contest was now being shuffled, it was Shauna against Miette and Serena against the next male coordinator. Serena managed to beat the male trainer as he had used Sableye, even though the match was close.
Miette and Shauna had a very close match as well; both at about a tie. And the timer less than two minutes away from the winner being announced.
"Go and use Water Gun." Miette called out. Slowpoke unleased a fury of water.
"Dodge and use Will-o-wisp." Shauna called out. Vulpix managed to jump in time, with such grace and fired blueish white flames from its mouth, hitting Slowpoke's water gun and covering the stadium a bit, making Miette lose more points.
"Keep an eye out, Slowpoke." Miette cautioned her Pokémon. Slowpoke looked around, not even knowing that Vulpix was right behind it.
"Use Fire Spin." Shauna called out. Vulpix engulfed itself in fire and spun towards Slowpoke fast, lighting up the field through the fog, effectively hitting Slowpoke.
"Incredible. Shauna not only used the fog to her advantage, but she also used it to make her Pokémon shine as well." Lillian stated as she and the audience continued to watch the battle. Eventually it came to Serena and Shauna for the finals. Ash, Misty, Pikachu, Dawn, Kenny, Piplup and Iris all went to the back to see Serena and Shauna, to help encourage them.
"This is it! I'm so nervous…" Serena commented.
"No need to be nervous." Iris told her.
"Axew ew. (You'll be fine.)" Axew said.
"Listen to your friend. Everything will be fine." Serena turned and there was Shauna. "After all, you and your Pokemon are an amazing team!" Shauna added.
Serena blushed out of modesty. "So are you and your Pokemon." Serena commented.
"You'll do just fine." Shauna responded.
"You both got this. We know you both will do great in the finals" Ash told them.
Serena nodded and began to get herself ready as did Shauna. Ash and those went back to their seats. It wasn't long until both Serena and Shauna heard their names and went to the stage. They walked towards the stage together. Once on stage they faced each other and gave off smiles.
"Shauna! I want you to give it all you got." Serena told her and extended her hand.
"Likewise, with you, Serena." Shauna replied. They both shook hands and went to their opposite ends.
"Now that's sportsmanship. From what we all can tell, we'll have a great match from these two." Lillian commented. Both Shauna and Serena were ready. "Right now, five minutes on the clock. BEGIN!" Lillian announced.
"It's time to shine, Squirtle." Serena called out.
"Let's do this, Vulpix." Shauna called out as well.
Both Pokémon burst out of their poke balls and announced themselves.
"Here we go. The final round." Ash stated.
"I know Serena can pull it off. She's made it this far." Misty commented.
From there the two girls began to battle with style.
"Go, Squirtle! Use Water Gun." Serena called out.
"Go, Vulpix. Use Ember." Shauna called out.
Both attacks launched towards the other. The attacks caused an explosion that made Vulpix shine. Squirtle was a bit taken back by the explosion.
"Squirtle!" Serena cried out.
"Oh wow! It looks like those two attacks created an explosion making Vulpix shine!" Lillian reported.
Both girls lost points, but Serena lost more.
Serena turned to Squirtle, "Are you okay?"
Squirtle nodded. "Squirt Squirtle. (I am.)"
Serena felt relieved, "Then let's try something new." She looked to her opponent, "Rapid Spin and while you are in your shell, use Bubble!" She commanded.
"Squirt Squirtle! (Right!)" Squirtle replied,
Squirtle did Rapid Spin and Bubble at the same time. It made a beautiful firework, going towards Vulpix.
"Wow! What a combination! Rapid Spin and Bubble are showing off Squirtle beautifully!" Lillian commented further.
Shauna lost some points for the combination, gritting her teeth a bit. "Vulpix, use your Agility to get away from it!" She commanded. Vulpix used its Agility. Although it didn't last. Squirtle managed to throw Vulpix for a loop.
"As Vulpix was trying to get away, Squirtle hit into it. What a beautiful turn!" Lillian commented as Shauna lost some more points. Lillian looked up at the clock. "Three minutes left on the clock!" She added.
Shauna decided to try something new. "Fire Spin and turn it into Flamethrower!" She commanded.
"Vul! (On it!)" Vulpix said. Vulpix took a deep breath, releasing its Fire Spin, turning it into Flamethrower. It made Vulpix glow an orange tint.
Lillian was in awe, "Wow, what a change of strategy. It looks like this contest will be close as well." Lillian stated.
Serena countered, "Squirtle, Withdraw!" Squirtle went into its shell as the Fire Spin and Flamethrower covered it. She then got an idea. She commanded, "Rapid Spin!"
Squirtle did just that as it went towards Vulpix, once again showing off its hard shell.
Lillian commented, "Shauna did an excellent combination but it seems Serena is throwing it right back in her face!"
"Not bad." Shauna admitted, "Will-o-Wisp!" She commanded,
Vulpix had Will-o-Wisp surrounding its body, making its fur softly. The flames from Squirtle's shell went into them, creating pillars of fire. That showed Vulpix's tails. It hit Squirtle, knocking the Water type away from the Fire type.
"You're good too." Serena admitted
"These two have been showing off their Pokemon beautifully! But who will win the ribbon? We've got 2 minutes left on the clock." Lillian stated,
"Vulpix, Hidden Power!" Shauna commanded,
The white orbs surrounded Vulpix, giving it a beautiful glow. Serena was about to counter but it was Squirtle that surprised her. Out of its mouth was a rather cold beam that froze Hidden Power. Serena looked at Squirtle, the ice, and then back to Squirtle.
"Did you just learn Ice Beam?" She asked,
"Squirt Squirtle. (Yes I did.)" her Squirtle replied.
Serena gave off a beaming smile. "Let's do it then! Ice Beam!" Serena called out.
"Counter it with Ember!" Shauna called out.
Serena's Squirtle shot out a beam of ice and Vulpix released ember from its mouth. When the Ice Beam hit Ember, it made the white fire bits sparkle in the air, making them both lose points.
"Amazing! Right after Squirtle just learned Ice Beam, and Vulpix releasing Ember. Both attacks have made the field sparkle. Almost like a diamond." Lillian stated.
Kenny almost made a comment to Dawn until she covered his mouth, with a smirk at him. "Don't even try it, handsome." She teased at him. He blushed a bit, knowing why she called him that.
"There's less than a minute on the clock. Who will be our winner?" Lillian said as the results were about even.
"Use Flame Wheel." Shauna called out. Vulpix engulfed itself in flames as it began to spin.
"Launch yourself over with Water Gun, then use Ice Beam again." Serena called out. As Vulpix charged at Squirtle, the turtle Pokémon managed to launch itself over Vulpix; then unleashed its Ice Beam, hitting Vulpix, cancelling out the Flame Wheel.
"Use Quick Attack." Shauna commanded.
"Use Withdrawl." Serena called out.
Squirtle withdrew after landing back on the stage and the blue defense color surrounded its shell again as Vilpix charged at it, quickly. Upon contact, it barely did anything to the shell, which caused Shauna to lose more points.
"Time's up! And the winner of the contest is…SERENA!" Lillian announced.
The audience began to applaud her and stood as they did, Even Ash, Misty, Dawn, Kenny and Iris were standing as well. Serena was panting a bit as she heard the news and applause. Her chest and body heaving with each breath she took. She was also taking in this victory as well, as gradually as possible. Shauna was very surprised, but not all that surprised as she smiled at the victor. Miette, however had a stunned face. She couldn't believe that Serena had managed to win her first contest on her first try.
Serena looked to Shauna who went over to her Vulpix. "You did a great job, Vulpix." She complimented her Pokémon.
Serena walked over to her and Shauna looked up. Serena was smiling at her. "You…you did great." Serena complimented her and extended her hand.
Shauna smiled at her and took her hand as she got up. "You did great too. Just don't doubt yourself too much, okay!" Shauna exclaimed.
"Don't worry. I won't." Serena told her.
Back in the stands with her friends. They were still clapping at the amazing performance.
"Serena did amazing. You definitely taught her well, Dawn." Ash told her.
"I was also taught and trained with the best as well, you know." Dawn reminded Ash, remembering how much Ash had helped her.
"Now she has her first ribbon." Kenny stated.
"Along with that, only four more to go." Iris replied.
"There's more training for her to go through, but I know she can do it." Misty stated.
With the other trainer, he was smiling as he clapped his hands for Serena as well. He smiled at her. "You did an amazing job." He complimented her.
Later on, Mr. Contesta approached Serena with the Silver Ribbon. "I'm proud to present to you the Silver Ribbon. You have shown that you earned it. Especially after that Amazing performance." He told her. "I also understand this is your first ribbon as well. I'd like to add a congratulations as well. I hope to see more great work from you, down the line." He told her.
Serena greatfully took it and smiled at it then him as her eyes were watering. "Yes and thank you. I plan to give it my all in the future contests." She told him.
"Let's hear it again folks; for Serena." Lillian requested from the audience. They all cheerd and applauded for her, seeing how well she had truly done.
Backstage with everyone, Serena was looking at her very first ribbon, still taking it all in. From the battles she had done and the victories she managed to obtain.
"Taking it all in, aren't ya?" a voice said to her. She looked up and saw Ash, Misty, Pikachu, Dawn, Kenny, Piplup and Iris. She smiled at them and looked back to her ribbon.
"I-I-I am. This is the first time I've won and I want to continue. I want continue to improve in my work as a coordinator." She told them.
"Then you best keep on your toes." Another voice said. They all looked to see Miette standing near by.
"Miette!" Serena exclaimed in a whisper as she got up.
"Even though you won that one, doesn't mean you'll win others; or beat me." Miette told her.
"You best watch it." Dawn stated. "Saying stuff like that can bite right back at you." Dawn warned her.
"As if. For right now, I have more training to do." Miette told them before she began to walk off. "Oh, and Serena." Miette said as she stopped and turned a bit to look at her. "You best watch yourself." She told her as she brought out a case and opened it, revealing a ribbon. "I managed to win this one a few days before this contest. Always keep on your toes." Miette told her before she put the case away and walked off.
"She sure has problems." Dawn stated.
"Couldn't agree more." Iris stated.
Serena looked back to her friends. "Thank you all for your support; and thank you Dawn, for the training." Serena said in a very sincere tone.
"SERENA!" A voice called out. They looked and saw Shauna as she ran up and hugged her. She pulled back and looked at her. "I wanted to congratulate you again on your victory. You did amazing." Shauna complimented.
Serena giggled with her eyes closed. "Thank you, Shauna." Serena replied to her. She looked at the others and knew they weren't properly introduced. "Oh! Everyone, this is Shauna. She helped to boost my confidence before the contest began." She told them. They each introduced themselves to Shauna.
"Nice to meet you all." She replied with a bow and blinking her eyes.
"Umm…excuse me, Serena." Another voice said. They all looked and saw a boy with a zipped up blue jacket with white stipes on it. One down each sleeve, and one on the middle and a white stripe going around the waist of the jacket. He had on a red hat, black pants with black boots and a black bag on him. He even had a bouquet of flowers on him as well. She looked at him with an interest as she didn't know him. Or at least she thought she didn't. "I saw your performance and it was amazing." He told her as he handed her a bouquet of flowers.
"Why thank you." She replied and gladly accepted the flowers. She look back at him out of more curiosity. "Who are you, though?" she requested.
"Oh, my. Sorry about that. My name is Calem. I don't know if you remember me." He told her.
"Huh? What do you mean?" Serena asked.
"We once spent some time together as kids for a bit and attended a couple of Prof. Oak's summer academies." He reminded her.
Well, this is interesting. Serena makes a new friends in Shauna, wins her first ribbon and meets a possible childhood friend. Who is Calem and how well does he know Serena?

Tom: That took a while, but worth it in the long run.
Sara: If you're wondering about the contest. TimPrime1's wife helped him out with those and his college classes are a bit tougher this year than last year.
Tom: We all hope you are enjoying this series. TimPrime1 has a pretty big announcement once we reach episode 25 and is going to be confirming about two or more seasons of the series. There's a lot go put into this.
Sara: We just received a signal, Tom. Should I patch it through?
Tom: Go ahead, Sara.
"People still need out help, dad! It's why we made this." A female says. "Wait! Your sending a signal down to the Quantum Realm?" a more elderly lady questions. "Shut it off!" she demands. "What are you so afraid of?" the daughter of the old lady asks. "This place! It isn't what you think." Another man states. "We got to save Cassey!" the father states. "All you have is ants!" the same man states as an ant army comes into battle.
Tom: Sweet! Check out Ant-man and the Wasp: Quantomania. Also, check out TimPrime1 on his YouTube channel and his Twitter account along with many other social media. For right now, sit back and relax, while I push the button. Only Toonami.
Me: Till next time.
TimPrime1 out
