Porkbelly Institute of Technology
Within the classroom, where the room was built to look like a lecture hall with how the seats and tables were built, Susan and Mary Test were in the midst of talking about their homework the professor assigned them.
Susan test, who's hair was straightened out and down past shoulders with a star pin in her hair, pulled out her papers from her folder, "I don't know about you, but I think the professor put a more difficult assignment this time for us to do at home." she mused as she looked over her homework one more time. Advanced mathematics beyond what normal children her age was written down on her papers.
Mary shrugged, her hair had curls at the end with a crescent moon pin in her hair, it helped by a marginal difference to tell them apart with how they wore their hair accompanied with a hair pin for extra flair; Mary had a blase look as she shuffled her papers out from her own folder, "Eh, I did just fine." she commented back to sister.
Susan playfully glared at her twin sister, "Oh yeah, then what was the answer to problem nine?" she asked, daring her sister to answer her, only for her sister to smirk back.
"No way, I'm not telling you." Mary answered her sister with a mocking but playful smirk, "We'll find out who did better when Mr. Schmiedt grades our papers!" she wagged her finger at her sister, earning an eye roll back from Susan.
Around the sisters as they talked, other students were prepping for the class as well as more were trickling in for the class.
Susan looked ask her sister with a sideways glance as she held her papers, "hey, did mom say anything to you about the new neighbors yet?" she asked.
Mary looked back at her sister while she placed her homework down to be ready to turn it in. "No." she answered non committedly, offering a shrug back, "I tried asking, but she said she'd try and invite the family for dinner if possible as a way to greet them in the neighborhood."
Gone went unsaid, the previous neighbors moved after getting fed up with the nonsense that involved the test family.
Before long, the teacher Mr. Schmidt went, making the class begin to quiet down as the man approached his desk and began getting his things from out of his briefcase he placed on his desk. It wasn't but shortly after the sound of rushing footsteps reached the classroom.
From the still open doorway, a lean skinny teen boy, dressed in a science outfit, black boots and purple gloves leaned against the doorframe; the boy seemed to be catching his breath and he leaned over, "Oh sweet science, I made it! Last time I ask Dee Dee to drive me to school!" the teen boy bemoaned.
Both Susan and Mary looked from the boy and at each other, they weren't aware this class was getting a new student.
Mr. Schmidt finished unpacking his briefcase, and turned to look over at the new Student, "Ah, the new student!" He remarked with a thick German accent, and held his arms out in a welcoming manner, "Are you by chance Dexter O'Donnel?"
The teen boy caught his breath, and looked up with a small smile, showing a freckled face and glasses that framed his eyes underneath his mop of orange hair, "Yes sir!" he answered in a strange accent.
"Excellent!" Mr. Schmidt remarked and gestured for the boy to come over, "Come lad! A new face is always welcome to my class, and I've read great and wondrous things about you!" he added.
The boy responded with an embarrassed smile and walked over as he hefted a backpack over his shoulder, "Thank you! My parents moved here, after I received a recommendation to this institute…among other things as well…." he muttered that last part out, barely reaching the sisters' ears.
Mr. Schmidt chuckled at the boy as he patted the lad on the shoulders once the teenager approached his desk, "Class, meet your new classmate, winner of countless nobel prizes!" He congratulated the boy, "I can't believe I now have three child geniuses in one class at once now!" He rejoiced.
"What!" Both Susan and Mary cried out in surprise, surprised that there was another child genius that they were not aware of.
Dexter smiled at the class, giving them a wave.
Dexter
It was now lunch time, after the three hour class lecture ceased, leaving the students to get their lunch for the day; Dexter in particular had a nondescript expression on his face as he waited in line of the cafeteria, a far cry from a normal school's classroom, given the fact the institute his parents were able to put him into, were adamant on giving the student that attended the campus a well nutritional meal.
Saying his parents put him into the school was putting it loosely, however; So many years of keeping his lab and the experiments he made in it, he had grown tired of keeping it a secret. The older he became, the stupider it became, especially when he saw that Mandark earned money from his experiments from the government.
A smirk graced Dexter's lips, he won in the end against that rival of his, due to the fact he had grown more proficient with his experiments, and end results; where Mandark would cut corners to try and outdo Dexter, Dexter himself did his best to ensure every failsafe existed for his inventions.
It was one of the key reasons he let Dee Dee in his lab later in life and play with his experiments instead of yelling at her to get out, for if an idiot could damage much less cause chaos with a mere press of a button or more without knowing what to do with his inventions, that what good were his experiments if none of them weren't Dee Dee proof?
It was also nice to see the pride he saw in his Mom and Dad, and with so much grant money offered to him by the world over, his funds were endless.
Thus that left him to his current situation, attending a higher education that actually challenged his brain. He offered to pay with his grant money for his family to move, and his parents were more than welcome to the idea of moving out for their genius boy to have a better avenue of academic learning.
Shaking his head, Dexter found that he was next in line to grab what he wanted and order himself a cooked sub sandwich. He was feeling a bit peckish for a meatball sub right now.
Mary and Susan
The two sisters sat at their own table in the cafeteria, and were at present unclasping the latches on their lunch boxes that their dad had made for them; the lids both opened in unison, leaving what their father to be shown what he made for them, leaving them to let out an annoyed sigh at the same time.
"Meatloaf." Susan spoke with some annoyed
Mary sniffed her food a bit, and wrinkled her nose a bit, "And leftovers at that." she noted.
Both Sisters rolled their eyes with a soft smile on both faces, while they loved their dad that he put in the effort to pack their lunches, the least he could try and to was be less repetitive with cooking meatloaf all the time. From out of their lab coat pockets, the sisters pulled out laser gun looking objects and promptly transformed the packed meatloaves.
For Susan, she transformed her lunch into a veggie burger, while Mary transformed hers into a burger and fry deal. Susan glared over at her sister and palmed her hips, "Hey! I thought we were both going to try the new diet!" she declared.
With a smarmy smirk, Mary tossed one of her fries into her mouth and ate it before speaking back to Susan, "You said you were going on the new diet, I never said I was!" she challenged back, earning annoyed scoff from Susan.
"Excuse me." A familiar voice brought both sister's attention forward, to see the new Student that was Dexter, standing not far from the table they sat at. The boy had a curious but straight look on his face, "Sorry to interrupt your meal, but this table was all that was left that had an available seat." he inquired while coughed into his fist while holding his tray of food with their other, "Mind if I sit across from you?"
The two sisters blinked at that, and noticed that there was indeed a big lunch rush in the cafeteria that left most of the tables taken up save for theirs. "Umm…" Susan said, while Mary smiled.
"Sure!" Mary answered the teen boy genius.
Dexter smiled back as he took a side and placed his tray down, "I heard about your inventions you've made yourselves, the Test twins, an ironic last name If I do say so myself." He remarked.
Susan, a bit surprised the new teen student was striking up a conversation with them so soon, offered the boy a rather annoyed look but not at him in particular, "don't mention it, we get it a lot from new people we meet each time." she answered.
Dexter nodded back as he began cutting his meatball sub up into sections, and looked back up at the girls, "and just for future information, I'll be your neighbor, those last people that lived next to you, were very easy to sell their house to my parents." he remarked, before he promptly shoved a piece of his sub into his mouth and chewed with his mouth shut.
"Oh!" Mary answered back with a surprised look, "That's…that's good to know, I suppose!"
Susan on the other hand offered a cynical look back at the boy, "Well, just don't be yelling at us to quiet down, or complain! We do lots of work in our lab at home!"
Dexter however smiled back in response, "So do I!" He commented back after swallowing his bite down, earning surprised looks from the girls, "I was honestly hoping you wouldn't be as bad as Mandark!"
At the mention of that particular individual, the Girls made faces of distaste, with Susan speaking first, "ugh, that loser? Didn't he get in trouble for selling faulty inventions?"
Dexter nodded, and offered a shrug with an annoyed look, "He is now, but when he a I were just kids and at each other's throats, he always outwitted me…thank goodness for Dee Dee to be a distraction to him though." he snarked at the end with a smirk.
Susan 'hmed' before commenting with a flat look, "I heard he cut a lot of corners, and was caught selling his inventions to other countries, and ended up in prison for a variety of crimes."
"Yup." Dexter answered Susan, "But I doubt he'll stay in prison, knowing his evil attitude."
"I'm sorry, what?" Mary asked with a surprised look.
Dexter put his next piece of sliced sub down to speak with the sister, "Mandark isn't one to let prison hold him, I'm pretty sure he's scheming to get out." he groused with annoyed look, "And just like his former aspirations of destroying my lab and claim superiority over me, he's a boy genius that plots to destroy the world…so…yeah…he and I go back…and forward in the future."
At the mention of the future, Susan was sure this was a whole story in of itself, and as a scientist, she couldn't help being curious, "Wait, you two were able to use time travel as well!?"
Dexter looked back at the sisters with a quizzical look, "Indeed, lucky the future is safe and the time stream is secure, so there is now future where he will ever rule the world!"
At the mention of Mandark ruling the world, Susan slapped her sister against the shoulder, "See! Told you our time travel machine was working just fine! Someone just fixed that bleak future!" she gestured at Dexter.
Dexter raised his brow at the sisters, "hm…when were you two able to create your own time travel machine?" He asked them.
Both sisters spoke at once with pride and smiles, "A few years ago." they answered, earning a nod from Dexter as he finished the rest of his sub.
"That's around the time I made my own to…" Dexter mused as he took a paper towel to clean his mouth up, "Now, enough about me, what about you two?" he asked, being cordial to let the girls speak about themselves next as fellow child geniuses.
Both sisters smiled in amusement, with Susan speaking first, "Oh, we experiment in our, and from Time to time use our baby brother as a test subject." she answered.
Mary rolled her eyes at that, and glanced her sister's way, "But many times, it blows up our faces…all parties involved."
"Hm, yes…I am familiar with the experience and my own older sister…" Dexter remarked, earning appreciative smirks from the girls of being in the same boat of experiments going awry.
