The sound of rushing water filled her ears as Nya turned on the shower in the hull of the Destiny's Bounty. The warm water poured down her bare shoulders, relaxing her aching muscles. Ever since Nya had returned from her Nyad form, she found herself longing for more water, more power. So, before every battle, she took a shower. She arched her back, stretching her arms. A sigh escaped her lips as she closed her eyes, the water flowing through her hair and down her body. Suddenly, she felt cold. A shiver shook through her body. She was standing outside a large temple, and she needed to get in. The power of the wind flowed through her veins as she propelled herself through the gates, glowing green swords forming in her hands. Then as suddenly as it had started, the feeling was gone. With a small gasp, Nya returned to the shower and rubbed the biting cold from her arms. These sudden mixes of emotions and visions - always with the cold - had become more and more common recently. Ever since Morro had returned.

After a minute, Nya stepped out of the shower; the cold was gone, and her body was clean. She turned to face the large mirror on the tiled walls which stood behind a small sink. A young woman with raven black hair tumbling down her naked shoulders stared back with hard, black eyes. Streams of water followed the curves of her body down to her feet. Thunder from around the ship sounded through the walls. In the silence that followed, Nya took a deep breath, closed her eyes and sensed every drop of water on her skin and the floor around her. She called to each droplet, and with a twirl of her fingers, she willed every body of water to rise from her feet, her chest, and her hair. Nya opened her eyes, and her reflection did too, their glowing blue eyes locking on to the floating ball of water before them as drops rose from their bodies, merging with the water. A moment of biting cold, then happiness. No, crazed gleefulness filled her. The ball of water before her splashed into the sink. The world bent and spun. She was alone in a cavernous room, and she looked down to find herself slipping a golden ring with a red jewel over her ghostly green finger. Power and strength filled her. Then Nya was back in the bathroom, freezing ice ripping through her flesh. The world tilted around her. Her knees hit something hard. A sudden impact to her chest. The cold. The cold. Oh, the cold. Then it was over. Rasping breath after rasping breath. Nya was lying flat on the cold tiles, staring side-on at where the walls connected with the floor. Her breasts were pressed against the floor, her hair splayed around her head. Her nipples were stiff and hard, stinging against the tiles. She was shaking, shaking, shaking. What was wrong with her? Why did this happen? With a small groan, she sat up, wrapping her arms around herself and pulling her knees towards her. Pull yourself together, Nya pull yourself together, you idiot. After what felt like an eternity of sitting on the floor rocking back and forth the cold finally ebbed away. Was she possessed? Were the others getting visions as well? Why didn't this happen all those years ago when Morro first returned? Nya stood up. She swore under her breath when she saw the time on the bathroom clock. Nya jumped up, pulling on her underpants and grabbing her bathrobe from the hook. She threw the fluffy blue robe over herself and tied it quickly around her waist. She ran out of the bathroom into the corridors. Her suit and armour were in the dojo just down the hallway so she shouldn't be too late. Nya jogged into the dojo, where one of the oak walls was lined with swords, shurikens and spears. The window on the other wall had streaks of rain running down the glass, lightning flashing in the darkness beyond. The sound of the pouring rain filled her ears as she watched the punching bag swing gently in the middle of the room. Then, her body chilled, and her vision blurred. The rain faded away and she was standing in the darkroom from before, a smoking green sword clutched in her translucent green hand wearing a ring sat glinting in the lamp-light. She drifted over to a figure scrambling backwards on the ground. It was a woman. Her bright red hair and orange robes stood out in the darkness.

"You were too late, Master of Amber," she said in a proud, cold voice. A smile stretched across her face.

"They'll stop you," the girl said when she neared her. The girl's movements were slow and weak, a nasty gash dripping blood running from her cheek.

"You won't be there to help them," Nya grinned. Then with a laugh, he plunged the sword into the girl's stomach. The sword sank in with a satisfying resistance. The girl curled in on the sword, her orange robes soaking with blood as she groaned.

The cold hit. It ripped through her body and she slammed her shoulder into the wall. Squeezing her eyes shut and waiting for the cold to disperse through her tender body. Her chest was heaving, the fluffy fabric rubbing against her shaking body. Then it sank in.

Red hair.

Orange robes.

Master of Amber.

It was Skylor

She had killed Skylor!

With a strangled choke, Nya opened her eyes. Was it real? Or was it just a vision? Had she done it? Or had it just been Morro? Why did this happen to her?!

With a yell, she charged at the punching bag. What was wrong with her?! What if she hurt more of them?! She threw punch after punch, yelling in fury. It was almost instinctive. When she felt footsteps coming down the corridors, she froze, panting as the door creaked open.

"There you are," Jay said with a grin as he walked in. He was dressed in a tight-fitting dark blue outfit that hugged his strong muscular body, highlighting his powerful frame. He looked at Nya with deep, kind brown eyes, his tousled brown hair bobbing slightly as he approached

"Hello?" He asked, his smile growing.

"Hey," Nya murmured, brushing her hair out of her face and trying to calm her breathing. She tugged her bathrobe a little tighter across her chest.

"You alright?" He asked, walking towards her.

"I'm fine," Nya mumbled again, stepping away and finding her back against the wall.

Jay came over, grabbing her hands in his. "You can tell me Nya,"

"No. I'm fine," her breathing quickened when he stepped closer, her cheeks warming as she looked up at his lips. She wanted to kiss them so badly.

He leant down lips parting just as she wanted. Nya closed her eyes. But then Skylor's bent-over body flashed across her mind. The sword wedged in her stomach. Nya shivered. What if she hurt the rest of them?

"Jay-" she gasped, placing her hands on his strong muscular torso. She gently pushed him back "I need to change," She said forcing a smile onto her face as she gestured to her scantily clad body.

"Oh- oh okay," He mumbled, stepping backwards and scratching his head, his cheeks warming. I'm sorry. Nya thought. But she just couldn't bring herself to open up. Just in case she wasn't safe.

"See you in the control room then," Jay said plastering a small smile as he left the room.

Nya hurried over to one of the wardrobes, throwing off her bathrobe. She grabbed a pale blue corset top, pressing it against her bare torso and zipping it up tightly from the back, holding her form. She then pulled on jet-black tights and black sneakers, lacing them up quickly. She then slipped her arms into her proper ninja robes, the soft fabric of the kimono settling on her bare shoulders. She then tied a light-blue band tightly around her waist. Nya hurried over to the deepstone section of the armoury rack. They had a small selection of shoulder pads, swords, and shurikens. But Nya wanted something better. They were going up against Morro so she needed more deepstone, his only weakness. After a minute of looking through the armour racks, Nya was dressed in a solid, deepstone breastplate, which painfully restricted her shoulders and breathing. But it was worth it.

"So let's go over the plan again," Lloyd said. Nya was now standing with Jay, Lloyd and Zane in the control room of the Destiny's Bounty. A large table stood in the centre of the room, while a large screen showing the map of Ninjago stood before them.

"It's a simple in-then-out mission," Zane started, addressing Jay and Nya. "Morro wants a necklace that looks exactly like this one," Zane said, pointing at a necklace on the table. It had a long, thin chain with a small red pendant on the end. It was supposed to be one of the three Adornments of Arcios, said to increase the elemental power of a master. "We have located the real necklace in a mine a little further from here, so all you two need to do is go in, plant the fake necklace, take the real one and get out. There is next to no chance that Morro could get from the ring to the necklace that quickly and engage in combat," he continued, pointing to a spot on the map where large storm clouds gathered.

"He probably hasn't got the ring yet, anyway. Nya, this is for you. It's solid deapstone and not exactly cheap," Lloyd picked up a black katana from the table.

"Wait, what about Jay?" Nya asked. "I have a feeling this isn't going to be this easy…"

"Oh calm down Nya," Jay said with a grin. "I've got my aeroblade, and of course you! The Master of Water! This is going to be easy."

Against her will, Nya felt her cheeks warm.

"Why're you even dressed in the armour anyway?"

"We're fighting Morro, aren't we?" Nya said defensively, placing her hands on her metal-clad torso.

"Don't worry," Lloyd said. "Last we heard, Kai and Skylor had gotten to the ring and Morro wasn't even there yet. It's not good for this kind of mission anyway." He picked up a single deep stone shoulder pad from the table, its strap dangling loosely off the rectangular piece of metal, a sheath attached to the back. "This'll be enough,"

Left with no choice, Nya quickly undid the breastplate and tied the shoulder pad strap tightly around her body, the elastic strap going diagonally across her chest. She then slid the sword into the sheath on her back. She also picked up the necklace, slipping it around her neck and stuffing it down between the zip-up top and her flesh. The long chain made the cool pendant at the end rest right in the centre of her chest. "What if Morro's already got the ring?" She could still feel the ghost of a ring on her finger.

"There is next to no chance. The Adornments of Arcios are all guarded by ancient magical defences. But we can get the necklace quicker because, before Cole was put out of commission, he was able to open up a tunnel through the earth straight from the main mine, around the ancient defences, and directly to the necklace,"

"Well, sounds good. Is it time to go?" Jay asked.

"Yup. Good luck," Lloyd said with a small smile.

They threw open the door to the deck of the Destiny's bounty, where clouds rumbled around them, lightning flashing. Nya followed Jay out onto the deck, his curly brown hair flying in the air as he turned around and grinned at Nya. Nya's heart gave a little flutter. The only way they could get to the mine without Morro's spies noticing a flying boat or another sort of vehicle was to lightning-travel. And a lightning storm had supposedly gathered around the mine, perfect for Jay to transport them straight there. Nya wasn't a big fan of this but it was the only way. Jay stood with his back against the rails on the edge of the bounty. Nya stepped towards him turning around to face Zane and Lloyd as Jay wrapped his arms around her waist. Nya could feel his breath on the back of her neck, his strong arms keeping her steady. Everyone felt so sure that this was a simple mission. So why was she so sure something would go terribly wrong?

"Let's do this!" Jay yelled into the storm. And with one last look at Zane and Lloyd, Nya and Jay pitched backwards off the Bounty, consumed in blue lightning.
