Hello, here I am with a new story! If this is the first time that you're clicking on something of mine then my name is Amy, and every month on the 28th I usually upload a chapter in a letter writing format. Over the years I've written from Ash's POV in Dear Darlings - and then from the Ketchum offspring to their dad in Dear Daddy. The last project was Rocket Daze and that was a collection of letters, transcripts and moments all in the lives of Team Rocket members. As the title suggests and the summary too, Misty's Memoirs will be diary entries, letters and snapshots in the life of Misty. I'm very much looking forward to getting in her skin after mostly focusing on the other half of the PokeShipping pairing ;) For todays one, we actually have letters that her sisters plan to leave tucked in her diary for her tenth birthday. But she runs away so she never reads any of these! I hope you enjoy :)

Happy Birthday, Misty!

I can't believe that you're turning ten years old. I have very few memories of you as a tiny baby because I was only four years old. But I remember you screaming a lot! Things don't seem to change much!

I'm kidding. So, keep your day a happy one by not throwing a tantrum.

Turning ten years old was fun for me. So, hope that it's fun for you as well. I don't think it's true what they say; I think that it is fun getting older as long as you take with you the good times of being younger too. It won't be long until you're a teenager and that thought is pretty scary. But I'll get there before you, so I'll be able to teach you a thing or two.

I hope your dreams and wishes come true for your birthday. Now that I write that down, I'm a little nervous in case they do. Your dreams are probably about a Gyarados coming out of the sea and eating Lily up in one bite!

Hopefully, some of your dreams are more normal like kissing the actors and the rockstars on the posters that Daisy has on the wall. And maybe something like that will come true for you.

Happy Birthday, Misty!

Wishing you the best for your tenth year.

Love,

Violet.

Oof. There are some really weird poems in your diary, Misty...

ONLY KIDDING! But if your cheeks go red while reading this like they always do when you get caught out then I know that your diary is filled with embarrassing stuff. And you should probably find a better hiding place for it.

Anyways. Daisy wanted us all to write birthday letters since it's your tenth birthday and you only turn ten once. I'm still waiting for my special day. Why does it always have to come after yours in the year?! And I would have written something to you anyway. Maybe not a letter. But I would have at least told you "Happy Birthday".

I guess this is what you both get for me having to write all this. At least Daisy can see me writing more than the one sentence.

Happy Birthday, Misty. I guess that I hope this year is good to you. And we can all do more fun things together. Maybe not water ballets because you always say no. And maybe not going somewhere because you end up arguing with us. But hopefully this year things can be more fun.

See, I said things can be more fun rather than you being more fun. I'm nice to you sometimes.

Happy Birthday to my only younger sister.

From, Lily.

To my baby sister, Misty: Happy Birthday!

I remember the day that I was told that I would be having another baby brother or sister, let alone the day that you came back from the hospital. I wasn't that excited at the thought of a third younger sibling. I thought that the attention and care for us all was running thin anyway. But I got used to the idea when it became likely that you'd be a girl.

Then, before I knew it, I had a third baby sister! We had a little Misty in our lives. And boy, it's been a rollercoaster ever since that day.

You've always been the black sheep of the family, haven't you? Preferring to splash around in a lake with water Pokémon rather than trying on high heels and make up. Locking yourself in your room listening to old, hand-me-down records rather than watching the music channels with Me, Vi and Lily and seeing the cute boys.

But you're you, aren't you, Misty? And I guess that this is me saying that I would not change any of that.

I would change some parts of our lives. You know that I would. But we don't need to talk about that. Today is about you and whether you believe it or not, the world is a better place because you're in it.

People who fall in line don't change the world. People who suck things up and quietly tolerate them don't make a difference. People with loud voices and unwavering defiance change the world. And you, Misty, are neither of the first two things. And you very much are the last thing!

I guess what I want to also say is that it doesn't matter if you don't change the world. You do enough every single day when you rescue a Pokémon off the beach, or you help Lily with her homework even if she acts ungratefully.

You can change the world by just being you, Misty. And you've definitely changed all our world by being in it. The loudness of your voice comes with chaos! But there are times that I wouldn't change it for the world.

I'm proud of you, baby sister. The way you've kept going – like we all have – even when it's been dreadful. Mom and Dad would be proud of you too, do you know that? Especially Dad. He always was so enormously proud of you, and you've continued to live up to what he would have wanted in every little and big thing that you do.

I wasn't sure that I wanted another baby sibling back then. I got used to the idea of having another baby sister. But now I am glad that I have a little Misty.

Happy Birthday, kiddo.

I hope you keep following your own path and don't let anybody stop you. You're the kind of person that the world needs, as infuriating as it is sometimes trying to guide you. I'll stop trying to rein you in.

You were born to make a difference.

Lots of love from,

Your biggest sister, Daisy.

There you go, thanks so much for reading and I hope you enjoyed! :) Bit of a short one to get things started. And such a shame that Misty never got to read these because Daisy's one I am sure she would treasure after being so convinced that her sisters think lowly of her. It was fun for me to show their different personalities here. I know in the anime they can be obnoxious - particular in the early episodes - and tease Misty endlessly. But there is real love there. They just had an unfortunate childhood with the death of their two parents. On either end of the sibling spectrum you have Daisy, the oldest one and probably boring one in the eyes of her younger sisters as she tries to organise them all as best as she can - and you have the youngest in Misty. She is the disruptor and the rule breaker. But oh, how we love her for it :P Thanks again and I hope that you'll check this story out again. Or maybe if this is your first time reading my stuff, you'd be interested to read my more frequent project called Pikachu Tales. I've written a lot of Daisy stuff there recently and plan to get even more into the lives of the four sisters :P Until next time!

Amy signing out :3
