OK so this chapter is being written to introduce a character who is named after a neighbor who helped me out a lot yesterday otherwise this chapter is also to establish the next plot point
As Stripes finished her song on her steel drum the Tigress sighed, then she heard a Southern Accented voice say "That's a lovely song!"
Stripes turned her head and saw a small Mutant, only three feet tall walking toward her, She was a Dog of some kind with long brown and golden fur though her 'head fur' was silver colored Stripes realized she was a Yorkshire Terrier.
"Thanks…" Stripes said as the little Dog Mutant sat next to her on the ledge "...I don't believe we've met, what's your name?"
"Name's Darlene…" Said the Mutant Yorkie, "...I just moved in, but I already now you're one of the students at Leonardo's New Martial Arts School…" The Yorkie sighed "...If I were only still a Pup and could join the school so I could learn some better self-defense techniques...But unfortunately I'm just a few years past the age mark so I can't enroll…"
While Stripes briefly thought maybe Leonardo should start classes for adult mutants who want to learn the Tigress chuffed and said "Maybe you're lucky...Leo can be a real drill sergeant at times…"
"I'm sure he only acts that way because he cares…" Darlene said
"Maybe…" Stripes sighed "...Anyway, what's you're story? How were you mutated?"
"I was mutated in a lab…" Darlene said "...I'm one of those 'Chimera Mutants' created by splicing human genes into me when I was an embryo...I was created by a company as part of what was supposed to be a line of 'Bio-Engineered Domestic Servants who can cook, clean and be the Nanny for the kids...For the New Millennium...Basically slaves with the legal obfuscation that it wasn't supposed to be 'slavery' if the creatures weren't technically human, but now the Mutant Civil Rights act put a big crimp in their plans, I seemed to be smarter than my sisters, I could see no good wind was blowing and made my escape under cover of darkness...It helps when you're as small as I am and can fit into tight spaces!"
"So you left your sisters behind too?" Stripes said realizing she may have found a Mutant who was more a kindred spirit than Isis.
"Yeah…" Darlene nodded "...Not a day goes by when I don't think about them...But I knew I had to do what was right…"
Meanwhile the Turtles accompanied Scruffles to her penthouse where she gathered the two flowers she kissed their two tightly sealed buds good bye and the Turtles led her to the portal to Third Earth.
Once alerted that they had found the flowers, Ichabod, Marzipan and Jonathan met Eartha the Mole in front of her cave, Don showed her the flowers.
"Those are the right ones…" Eartha said "...But...Not enough of them...We need three flowers for the potion!"
Marzipan felt like she was about to cry again…
"Are you sure you really need exactly three?" Don asked wearily
"We do if we want enough nectar to make enough potion for two people…" Eartha said sorrowfully
So another speed bump to getting Ichabod and Marzipan cured
