Chapter 4: Elementary School Zone
Meanwhile, back at Content Control HQ, Quant was watching his previous news broadcasts on the large holographic monitor in front of him. As he watched the footage showing their broadcast being cut by Void's hula hoop dancing, 3 moderators opened the doors to Quant's office to enter the room.
The 3 moderators present in the room were Henna, Loyrak and Mystake.
"Good afternoon Quant." Said Henna,
Quant turns around to greet his fellow moderators, "Ahh, Henna, Mystake and Loyrak... returning for more orders I see... What news do you bring from the censored world?"
"Sir, we are happy to report that many lawbreakers have been apprehended by Content Control. Unfortunately however, one ranger pest is still on the loose, and we have been unable to capture him at this time." Henna confessed as she bowed her head in shame.
Quant turns around to look at the holographic monitor, "Hmm, this is serious. If this ranger continues to evade Content Control, then he may eventually become a detriment to our plans of cleansing the uncensorship of online content."
Quant turns around again to face his moderators, "We've got to find that ranger in question and apprehend him before he damages our reputation even further."
Mystake approaches Quant with a shocked look on his face, "Wait a minute, you mean to tell us that you've actually seen the disturbing video of the blue little ranger dressing in drags and dancing with the hula hoop?!"
Quant grabs a nearby remote and fast forwards the footage to when the broadcast cuts and shows young Void with the hula hoop dressed as a princess. Quant then pauses the video. "Yes, and believe me, tis quite disturbing."
He then slowly walks towards the 3 moderators standing at attention before him. "We've got to find that ranger who was responsible for sabotaging our broadcast, and bring him before us."
"It will be done as ordered, sir." Loyrak responded as the 3 moderators bowed down towards their leader in unison. The moderators then walked out of the room leaving Quant to return to his large holographic monitor.
Quant then looked at the monitor to look at a frozen frame of the disturbing video. "Excellent, and now to check on one of our prisoners, and see if I can get some information out of him."
Quant then walked towards a security door made of metal. Next to it was a keypad used to unlock the door. Quant successfully entered the code and walked inside what looked like a white room of nothingness.
In the middle of the room was a young boy with short black hair going down towards his eyes. He wore a blue short sleeve shirt and long black pants.
Unfortunately, he was bound and suspended in the air as his hands and legs were tied up with SATA cables. The boy was in fact Vic, and he wasn't in very good shape.
Joining Quant and the young boy was one of Content Control's moderators; Toxoit, who was in charge of interrogating prisoners who were locked in quarantine.
When the interrogation began, Toxoit wasted little time to show just how cruel he was to the innocent boy. He grabbed Vic by his shirt and pulled out a taser from his belt to taze him. The taser sent 300 volts into the boy's weak body.
"AHHHHHH!" Vic cried as he screamed in agony.
Quant then gestured Toxoit to stop tasing him, Toxoit obliged.
Quant then approached the weakened Vic, "Well well well, Victor Dos Kuroslov..."
"Please don't call me Victor, I hate that name, my name is Vic." He groaned while trying to hold back the pain.
"Vic?... So be it. Tell me 'Vic', what do you know about the United Anti-Virus movement?" Quant asked as he turned his back from the poor boy.
"Piss off!" Vic whispered as he struggled to get free from the SATA cables.
Quant then turned to Toxoit and gestured to taze him once again.
Toxoit once again grabbed Vic by his shirt and tazed Vic's helpless body.
"AHHHHHH!" Vic screamed.
Quant then gestured Toxoit to stop tazing him, Toxoit obeys and releases the taser away from Vic.
"I'll ask again. Hopefully, you can give me a straight answer this time." Quant remarked,
Vic lowered his head in defeat, "Fine... you win. I'll tell you everything. Doctor Remus White... he was a senior supervisor for the United Anti-Virus movement. He got a degree in computer science and engineering, and was hired to become a member of the U.A.V in his early 20s. He worked very closely with the U.A.V, more specifically with Macrosoft and Windows Defender... and now you have control over the company..." He growled
"In his late 50s, he traveled to Los Angeles California in the United Lols Of Roflica and became the shop keeper for his own computer repair shop called Demotivator Incorporated. During his tenure as shopkeeper, he found me in front of his shop... begging for food and water. Unable to bear witness to my suffering, he adopted me and raised me as his stepson... and then you b*s show up." Vic concluded with a stern look on his face.
Quant was very impressed, "You are one smart boy Vic, you must truly know everything about the United Anti-Virus movement, including those illegal floppy disks you stole from your stepfather."
"Piss off! I can use those floppy disks against you if I wanted to." Vic growled.
This time, without even one gesture from Quant. Toxoit immediately retaliated by grabbing Vic and tasing his body for the third time.
"AHHHHHHHHHH!" Vic cried in excruciating pain.
Quant snapped his fingers; ordering Toxoit to stop. Toxoit obliged and stepped away from Vic. Quant then walks up to Vic and grabs his chin, "Trust me when I say this Vic. By the time we're done with you, you will beg for death long before you can use those illegal floppy disks."
Quant then turns his back from Vic and looks up towards the ceiling of the room. He then starts imagining, "Very soon, Content Control will have complete control over the entire online domain. And every content creator or viewer will either surrender their personal information to us... or face execution."
Vic was furious upon hearing their dastardly scheme, "So, you intend to unleash a witch hunt against all content creators and viewers, just because they don't agree with your rules and regulations?! You and your company should all be charged with breach of privacy and fraud!"
Quant then walks up to Vic and looks him dead in the eye, "Mister Vic, by the time Content Control is finished with censoring the internet. No one, not even the United Anti-Virus movement will be able to stop us. I assure you. Content Control will remain in power until the internet finally comes to an end."
He then turns to Toxoit and gestures him for the 4th time to torture Vic, "Toxoit, please resume torturing this boy. See to it that much harm comes to him as much as possible." Said Quant as he exits the white room while Toxoit grabs Vic and tases his body once again.
"AHHHHHHHHHH!" Vic yells at the top of his lungs.
"We have a blue little ranger to find." Quant growled as he shut the door leaving Toxoit to continue to torture Vic's helpless body.
Meanwhile, on a far distant planet. A large pyramid looking spaceship was touching down on a ghostly looking world. The area itself looked dead, as if there was no nature or vegetation found anywhere in the planet. The skies were always gray and there was always fog near the surface of the land.
As soon as the spaceship landed, and the doors to the ship opened, Void exited the spacecraft and thanked the local pilot by giving him a tip.
"Here you go sir, help yourself." Void said as he handed him 25 dollars. Void then walks out of the spaceship and onto the surface of the dead planet.
As the spaceship took off; never to be seen again, Void walks up a nearby mountain where he comes across a building that seemed very familiar to him. It was an old looking building, it was somewhat abandoned and it's infrastructure was deteriorating from inside and out.
It was Void's old elementary school. The very school where his stepmother taught a class, the school where Void was bullied, and the school where he met a minister of the United Anti-Virus movement for the very first time.
"Wow, this place takes me back. I cannot believe I'm saying this... but I don't feel so good with returning back here, but what other choice do I have?" Void said as he was looking very nervous.
As Void got closer to the school, he noticed a grave site with a tombstone that was vandalized and tipped over. As Void got closer to it, he saw the name on the stone which read, "Here lies Jinx, beloved mother, teacher and programmer for the United Anti-Virus movement."
"Mother..." Whispered Void in tears, he got down on his knees and touched the tombstone crying.
As the blue robot bowed his head in sorrow while mourning for his mother's death. Little did he realize, but 5 other robots that looked almost similar to him but had different designs and colors were slowly approaching him with caution; not knowing if he was a friend or foe.
Without second thoughts, and with no turning back; the 5 robots drew their swords and aimed them straight for Void's neck.
After Void finished grieving for his stepmother, he slowly gets back to his feet. He then turns around and is suddenly greeted by the 5 swords, Void was frightened.
"Hands up, chump!" Shouted an alizarin colored robot with similar armor as Void ranger.
Void quickly threw his hands up looking terrified.
"State your name and business." Ordered the alizarin ranger.
"My name is Void ranger, I am an anti-virus for the United Anti-Virus movement!" Void responded hastily. But Void then suddenly lowered his arms nice and slowly as he began to recognize one of the multi colored robots. "Wait a minute... Axer Blue? Is that you? Don't you remember me?! We were classmates in elementary school together!"
"No excuses mister Void, security here is tight after the incident that happened years ago with your family. Which by the way, I'm very sorry for your loss." Axer Blue remarked while bowing his head in sorrow.
"It's alright, my stepmother was sick... There was nothing we could have done to disinfect her. My stepfather hates anti-virus vendors and I was defenseless at the time. Her death was the reason why I left this planet to join the United Anti-Virus movement." Void reassured while placing his hand on Axer Blue's shoulder.
The gray robot next to Axer Blue with sunglasses wasn't taking any of Void's b*t. He pushed Axer Blue to the side and aimed his sword to Void's neck again. "In that case, welcome back to elementary school, Void ranger. Cmon, lets teach this poor b*d what happens when he gets in our way!"
"Do it! Make the kid squeal!" Shouted a green looking robot with eyelashes above her eye lids.
"YEAH, WHO'S DA JUGGERNAUT NOW, B*H?!" Shouted a pink looking robot with buffed armor.
But suddenly, as the gray robot was about to stab Void's throat and put him out of his misery, a strong metallic arm grabbed the robot's arm to prevent him from attacking. It's armor color was red and stainless steel. It was bigger compared to the 5 robots standing bellow him.
The gray robot looked up in frustration as he pulled his arm away from the larger looking robot,
"Attention fellow rangers! That is enough! Stand down and return to your posts!"
But the gray robot wasn't having any of this, "Aww cmon. Let us break this b*d in half." He whined.
The large robot bent down and gave the gray robot a stern look, "If you break him, I'm gonna have you all suspended without pay."
The gray robot hesitated to obey at first, but finally stepped aside; sparing Void from enduring a beat down by his fellow robots.
The large red and silver looking robot slowly walked towards Void and bowed down to greet him. "My apologizes mister Void. Welcome back to Robosoft Elementary school. Come my child, we have lots to talk about." The robot then lifted his arm and gestured Void to follow him inside the school.
As Void and the large robot walked into the school, the 5 robots slowly followed them inside, where they eventually walked into the principal's office.
Once inside the principal's office, the last robot to enter the room closed the door as Void and the robot took a seat.
"Void ranger, welcome back. We missed you dearly." Said the robot as he placed his hands like a canopy.
"Pshhhh." Snarked the gray looking automaton.
"Is there a problem Axer White?!" Shouted the large robot with a thunderous tone.
"Uhh, hehe. No sir..." Axer White giggled and tried to swallow his pride.
Void then pulls out the coconut and places it on the principal's desk. He looks back at Void confused. "Umm, excuse me mister Void... but what's with the coconut?"
"This coconut is Minister Avira, my mentor of the United Anti-Virus movement... or at least, what's left of him. He was transformed into this stupidity by an organization known as Content Control." Void explained.
The large robot looked at Void unimpressed upon hearing his words, "Ah yes, Content Control... those clowns that began to censor our freedom of speech. I'm honestly surprised that your stepfather and his virus syndicate are in on this. No seriously, they already arrested a couple of programmers and a minister for the U.A.V."
"Which is why I came here, to ask for your help." Void said as he handed him the coconut. "Is there any way I could change Minister Avira back into an anti-virus robot?"
The principal puts his hands together and thought about it for a minute, "Well, now that you explained everything... i'm afraid there is only one way to turn this coconut back into Minister Avira." The principal then gets up from his chair and looks out the window left and right to make sure no one was spying on them.
He then closed the windows and turned around where he responded, "Somewhere deep in the underground bunkers of this very school... lies a silver floppy disk. If you can find this floppy disk within the underground bunkers, we can then connect a few SATA cables to the coconut and load a fresh operating system from the floppy disk; which will return Minister Avira back to factory settings."
Void gets up from the chair, and takes the coconut with him before taking a bow. "Thank you for the advice Master Titanium, I really do appreciate it."
Titanium bows back, "You're most welcome Void ranger. And, if I may offer you some advice? I would recommend taking your former classmates along with you. In doing so, you 6 can all bond together and catch up on lost time. What say you?"
Void turns to look at the 5 rangers standing by the door and smiles, "Very well sir, i'll do it."
As Axer Blue opened the door to escort Void out, Titanium waved at the 6 rangers who were exiting his office. "Good luck Void, the U.A.V is counting on you."
A few minutes later, Void and his former classmates were walking down the staircase towards the underground bunkers. But before Void could open the doors to enter the bunker, the alizarin colored robot stopped him. "Yo Void, wait up a second!"
Void turned around as Axer Blue slowly approached him, "Listen Void... we want to apologize for snapping at your heels back at the schoolyard. It wasn't our place nor our intention to interrogate you like we did hours ago... And for that, we're sorry."
Void smiled towards the 5 colored robots, "Axer Blue, Axer White, Axer Crimson, Axer Magenta and Axer Lime... I forgive you all. I just needed to escape this planet, so I can learn more about my past and where I came from."
"It's completely understandable... And for that, we are sorry." Said Axer Lime as she approached Void and gave him a hug. "It's great to see you again."
"Same here rangers, same here." Void responded as he and Axer Lime let go from their hug.
Once the hug was over, Void decided to ask his robot friends an important question, "So rangers, why haven't you decided to leave this pathetic wasteland?"
The 5 robots stared at each other for a moment before shifting their attention back to Void,
"Do you want to know why? Alright... i'll tell you why. It's this computer world. Everything we do, everything we see, everything that is... and everything that isn't... is not yet optimized." Axer Blue responds,
Void looked confused, "Optimized? Please elaborate."
"Alrighty then... allow me to give you an example. Think about Macrosoft corporation for a moment. Now imagine, Macrosoft releases a new operating system for the computer. They release it to the world so that everyone can buy the latest version.
But there's just one major problem. Bugs... lots and lots of bugs." Axer Blue explained.
He then turned his back from Void and described a situation that was more relatable to him.
"Ever wondered why we robots would short circuit when we're susceptible to water damage?... It's because whoever created this computer world never bothered to finish ironing out all the bugs within the operating system.
If our creator had finished coding the computer world and optimized it for every PC user on the planet, then this computer world would be more stable. You understand?" Asked the alizarin robot.
Void nodded, finally understanding what was happening to the computer world.
"Void, please understand. Even though this computer world is buggy, not optimized and very depressing to live in, we will still fight to the death to protect it..." Axer Crimson chimed in,
"And why is that?" The blue robot asked,
The red robot paused for a moment before delivering his grim answer,
"Because it's the only home we robots have left. Without the computer world... we might as well blue screen to our deaths." The red robot bowed his head in sorrow.
Feeling sad for Axer Blue and Axer Crimson, Void ran towards the two robots and gave them a big hug.
Just then, 2 other robots approached Void and joined their group hug. But Axer White was still hesitant from the beef he had with Void earlier in the schoolyard. He eventually chose to brush it aside and joined the group hug as well. Once the robots let each other go from the hug, Axer Magenta; the buffed pink robot shouted, "NOW THAT WE GOT GAS, WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO... WITH THIS?!"
Void's face shifted from happy to serious gradually as he held up the coconut in front of the robots. "We need to find the silver floppy disk. It's the only way to reinstall Minister Avira back to factory settings... Unless you want him to stay as a coconut?"
The 5 robots looked at each other until Axer White finally responded, "Meh... I prefer anti-viruses, thank you very much."
Void smiled towards the gray robot and placed the coconut back onto a pouch on his belt. "Now cmon, lets go find the silver floppy disk before..."
Suddenly, before Void could even finish his sentence. There was an explosion coming from a couple of floors above. The bunker began to shake as if it was getting hit by an earthquake. It caused all 6 robots to fall to the floor.
Once the explosions finally stopped after a whole minute, Void and his former classmates slowly got back to their feet and began to assess the situation.
"Is everyone okay?" Void asked.
"I think so. But was that an explosion coming from above?" Axer Blue asked as he looked up towards the ceiling.
"Only one way to find out." Void said as he pulled out his walkie talkie from his belt, and tried to radio in towards the principal. "Master Titanium, do you copy?"
Unfortunately, the signal on the principal's end immediately became static.
Void yelled into the walkie talkie, "I REPEAT! MASTER TITANIUM, DO YOU COPY?!"
But once again, the signal was static.
Void quickly put away his walkie talkie in frustration, "Dammit! No response. Looks like we're gonna have to return to the surface to see how much damage there is, shall we?"
But suddenly, they heard a loud voice coming from what looked like a megaphone, "Halt! No robots will be leaving this underground bunker unless we say otherwise!"
Void was terrified by the voice he just heard, "Oh no... It's those b*s from Content Control."
The ceiling then suddenly exploded, as a dark gray armored soldier jumped down from the ceiling and right in front of the robots. The soldier then took out his KA57 pencil gun and aimed it towards the blue robot.
"Oh my god... I can see unicorn penguins flying into the colonies... and my a* is growing to the size of Uranus! I need a paper pizza!" the coconut said in slow motion.
The gray armored solider simply ignored the coconut and began to speak to the 6 robots while aiming his pencil gun to the rangers, "Attention rangers, this is Loyrak from Content Control. I believe that we are all searching for something or someone who should be seized by Content Control for safety precautions of course. So rangers, are you willing to co-operate with us and help find the silver floppy disk?"
Void slowly walked up towards Loyrak with an angry look on his face. "No... we will never assist you in censoring our freedom of speech. And how the hell do you know about the floppy disk?!" Void shouted.
Loyrak chuckled, "Lets just say that a certain ranger with a higher power; who we recently seized told us everything we wanted to know about Avira's incident."
Axer Blue slowly stood beside Void to join the confrontation. "You mean... you guys aren't here to help us?!"
Loyrak laughed, "No you fool. We are here to arrest you, and make sure that your coconut friend remains censored."
In an attempt to fight back, Void and the 5 robots drew their swords in unison and aimed them towards Loyrak's chest. But the moderator didn't budge.
Suddenly, the dark looking robot quickly loaded his KA57 and started firing Stuxnet capsules onto the poor robots. The capsules exploded upon impact; injuring almost all the robots except for Void who somehow dodged the attack.
As Void attempted to catch his breath, Loyrak walked up towards Void and aimed his KA57 directly to his forehead. "Give up boy. If you ever want to see your friends again. You're gonna help us find and confiscate the silver floppy disk. Do we understand each other?!"
Void slowly put his hands in the air looking terrified as ever, "Okay... okay, I will... No more fighting please!"
As Void slowly walked inside the underground bunker with Loyrak aiming his pencil gun to Void's head, Void and the moderator saw to their surprise a team of construction workers; who were digging a tunnel to make a cave big enough to evacuate in case of an emergency.
As the tunnel was being dug up, both the blue anti-virus and the moderator noticed a couple of construction workers were standing in front of a weird looking statue that was egg shaped, had glasses, a crazy moustache and a smile at the bottom.
The construction workers tied some rope around the statue and began to pull it towards them.
"Timber!!!" Shouted one of the workers as the statue came crashing down onto the ground. "That takes care of the creator!"
Loyrak laughed maniacally as he grabbed Void's head and shoved him into a wall; knocking him out instantly.
Loyrak then loaded his KA57 pencil gun and began to massacre all the construction workers within the underground bunker.
"MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" The moderator laughed like a madman.
Once the massacre was over and every construction worker was tragically reduced to binary coded blood, Loyrak then grabbed a walkie talkie from his belt and began to radio Content Control. "This is Loyrak to Content Control, come in Content Control. Please bring forth a couple of bob-bombs and detonate it within the underground bunkers of Robosoft elementary school."
A couple of minutes later, the dragons opened the entrance doors to the bunker; carrying a trolley of wooden crates. Inside the crates were bob-ombs ready for detonation.
When Void slowly got back up to his feet, he saw half the dragons pick up the 5 robots and escorting them out of the bunker while other dragons carrying crates of bombs inside the bunker. Without second thoughts, Void needed to act fast. He took the coconut out of his belt. He then ran towards Loyrak and bashed him on the head with the coconut. The moderator was down, but he wasn't out.
Void then ran towards the dragons and began to slash, stab and hack away at them until they were reduced to binary coded blood.
He then grabbed Loyrak and placed him on top of the crates. He then grabbed a match and lit the bob-ombs before wheeling the trolley back to the entrance. As the trolley rolled out of the bunker, Void quickly got down on his side. He then bent over and grabbed his ankles; he was preparing to take cover from the eventual blast.
Once the trolley rolled towards the doors, Loyrak slowly woke up after being unconscious; thanks to Void and the coconut. The moderator began to smell smoke, he then lifted his head up to look down. He suddenly realized, he was lying down on crates filled with bob-ombs. Panicking; Loyrak quickly rolled off the crates and began to scramble his way outside.
"Dear god... what a monster this blue robot is..." Whispered Loyrak as he was making a run for it.
Once he reached the schoolyard where the dragons were holding the robots hostage. He quickly turned around to look at the elementary school.
Suddenly, the bob-ombs finally detonated, and the entire school exploded. The building was engulfed in flames; as black smoke rose up to the atmosphere, and glass windows were shattered from the blast. Worst of all, Void ranger was still trapped inside.
The robots stood in shock, as Loyrak unleashed a maniacal laugh in front of the burning school. "MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
"Damn you Content Control! How dare you destroy my school!" Shouted Master Titanium who was struggling to get free from the restraints,
Angry as he'll ever be, Axer Blue was ready for a confrontation, "Alright you jacka, what the hell did you do to our friend?" he shouted.
Loyrak turned towards the robots and chuckled, "Simple, he blew himself up to destroy half of my men." He then grabbed his KA57 pencil gun and aimed it at Axer Blue's head, "Now speak. Where is the silver floppy disk?"
Feeling defeated, and unable to protect his friends, he slowly reached into his pocket and pulled out the silver floppy disk; where he offered it to Loyrak. "Alright Content Control... you win."
"Axer Blue you b*d! You had this floppy disk all this time?! Why?!" Shouted Axer Crimson who was furious to see the floppy disk from Axer Blue's pocket.
"Because I was assigned to protect the floppy disk from any intruders who set foot in this school... And clearly, I failed..." Axer Blue responded with a sad tone in his voice.
"You're lucky we're being restrained by these stupid soldiers, or else I would vaporize you!" Axer Crimson shouted back,
Loyrak then turned his back on the robots and stared deeply onto the floppy disk. Printed on the floppy disk in Arial font was text that read, 'Reset '. After looking at the floppy disk for a moment, he turned around to face the robots. "Thank you ladies and gentlemen for your co-operation... Oh and one more thing."
Loyrak then aimed his KA57 to Axer Blue's head and immediately fired a high powered laser; disintegrating the poor robot's body and reducing him as well; into a mindless brain dead coconut.
"Oh tacos... my a* is growing to the size... of feet penguin water..." Axer Blue said in slow motion.
"Content Control, you b*s! Change Axer Blue back this instant!" Master Titanium roared as he tried to run towards Loyrak; but got pulled back by the soldiers restraining him.
The moderator walked towards the principal and looked him dead in the eye. "Not a chance... Content Control, take the principal away and lock the other robots inside the school."
Loyrak then walked away from the schoolyard as Master Titanium was taken into custody, while the other robots and the coconut were taken back towards the destroyed elementary school. "It's high time these robots learn what it's like to be censored from the face of the internet." Loyrak remarked.
As the principal was taken to a nearby spaceship that would later fly back to Content Control HQ, he walked towards the windows; where he saw soldiers throwing the other robots and the coconut onto the floor in front of the school. They then aimed their KA57 pencil guns at them.
Master Titanium can only watch in horror as the soldiers opened fire and shot Stuxnet capsules towards the poor rangers, thus injuring them and knocking them out cold.
