Chapter 12: The Spider Zone:
Minutes later, after rescuing SNT from the evil clutches of Doctor Eggman; Void, the 2 girls and the rescued chimera were running from the top floor, all the way down to the entrance of Optical Illusions, while trying to find an exit in order to make their escape.
Eventually, the group got tired from all that running as they stopped to catch their breath.
"Phew, I can't believe we made it out alive." SNT said.
"We sure did! You beat Eggman, we stopped the AutoProtect computers, we fought a large purple armored robot of Content Control, and you threw Robo-SNT off a 60-story building; where Eggman eventually met his demise... Or at least, I think he did." Catney guessed.
Void looked at the chimera and smiled as he placed his hand over her shoulder, "Of course, and what matters now is that you're safe. As long as the doctor and his evil badnicks stay far away from SNT as much as possible, she'll be safe."
Saki took a deep breath and grabbed Void's neck, "That still doesn't make the situation any f*ng better. Need I remind you that Content Control is still wreaking havoc in the computer world, and we have to shut their a*s down before we all get shut down. Now does anyone have a plan?"
SNT then approached the robot and the ascension sock and pushed them both apart.
"You know, I may have an idea on how we can shut down Content Control." SNT said.
Void looked at SNT and smiled, "Alright SNT, let's hear it."
SNT then reached into her pocket and grabbed a map containing blueprints of Content Control HQ.
She then placed the map on the ground and got down on her knees to explain. "I overheard Eggman talking with Total AV, they mentioned something about a monastery called 'Sin Serials'." SNT said as she pointed to a sketch of a mountain on the map. "I bet that if we find this monastery, we can figure out how to get inside."
Void then pointed towards the building of the map. "And once we find their headquarters, we can save Vic and all the prisoners, and shut down Content Control before they cause more damage to the computer world."
Void then looked at the chimera, "So SNT, do you know by any chance where Sin Serials is located?"
SNT then got back to her feet and began to think, "Well, I... I don't know. But I might know someone who can help us find the monastery. Right Courtney?" SNT asked as she tapped her elbow to Catney's arm.
"Yeah, I know just who to ask! She lives somewhere just up those mountains." Catney said, pointing to what looked like a convenient looking mountain with the golden statue of Doctor Eggman lifting his arm up in the air.
"Really, who is it SNT?" Void asked as he grabbed SNT's hands.
But before SNT could answer, a faint robotic laugh echoed in the distance. "GRAHAHAHAHA!!!"
Void pulled out his sword, while SNT got into a fighting stance. Catney and Saki held onto each other for dear life as they all huddled around each other, trying to find out where that laugh came from.
"SNT, what was that?" The blue robot asked.
They suddenly began to hear the sounds of heavy stomping on the ground, the sound got louder and louder, which did not help ease the tension.
"Somebody's here, I just know it." SNT guessed, "COME ON OUT AND SHOW YOURSELF!!!"
"Somebody?" the robotic voice responded. Suddenly a red beam of energy struck Catney, Saki and Void. The laser sent them hurling to a wall behind them; causing it to collapse on top of them.
"My friends!" SNT cried.
But as she ran towards the destroyed wall to help out her friends,
All of a sudden, a metallic claw rushed forward and grabbed SNT, trapping her by her waist. The claw slammed her to the floor and tossed her away from her friends.
SNT slowly got up and looked up, to see piles of debris sent flying to her direction. The chimera dodged at the last minute and breathed heavily.
"Okay, mister funny man. What's your deal?!" SNT shouted. Her ears twitched as a sound came from the ground. Fissures began to surround her.
Suddenly, the ground erupted and sent the chimera flying into the air.
SNT harshly fell on her back. She shook her head and got up to see a small crater. The chimera slowly approached the pit with caution to see what was down there. Once SNT got a peek, a metallic tentacle rose from the crater and pinned the chimera to the ground by her neck.
SNT tried to rip apart the tentacle, but two more emerged and pinned her wrists. The chimera struggled in place, as three more tentacles stabbed themselves on the ground. From the crater, a purple and yellow robot emerged.
He had a gray face with red eyes and black slits for pupils,and sharp teeth with two fangs. A triangular-shaped helmet with two buttons on each side, three red optics with yellow pupils, and horns that curved in and out. A cylinder-shaped body with a shoulder harness where the tentacles were attached to, and long yellow spike at the bottom. Beside the body were two disembodied hands with two glowing red orbs on the palm.
The robot smiled wickedly and said, "Hello SNT."
SNT's pupils shrunk, how did this robot know her name? What was it's deal? Did Eggman create it? So many questions ran through her head.
"What's wrong SNT?" The robot asked, "Don't you recognize me?"
"Recognize you?" SNT wondered, "I don't even know who you are."
The spider-bot tilted his head, "What? You don't remember our previous encounter?"
"Am I supposed to remember anything?" SNT asked.
The robot lifted the chimera up to check if his optics weren't deceiving him. The chimera kept struggling in the tentacle's grasp. The spider-bot's face optics scanned SNT's body head to toe, that was until he noticed the chimera's pink eyes.
"Fascinating, your eyes are a different color." How did you do that?" The robot asked.
"I don't know, I just woke up like that." SNT snarked, "Also you might want to keep your head." She prepared to kick Tarantula's head off his body, but her legs were quickly restrained by one of his tentacles.
"How predictable," the robot sassed.
As the confrontation escalated, another evil laugh was heard from the distance. "Hehehehehehe!"
As Void slowly returned to his feet, and bent forward to check on the girls, Big Old Tori; the large purple robot he fought before, emerged from behind the walls and began to approach the blue robot.
"You poor simple fool... Did you honestly think that I was gonna go down THAT easily? Think again, blueberry boy."
Big Old Tori then waved his hand towards the arachnid looking robot. "You see, I have perfected the greatest, yet most destructive computer virus ever designed."
"Behold... Spider.exe! Or as the spider himself prefers to be called... Tarantula!" Big Old Tori laughed.
Void looked up at the large purple robot, "Why are you doing this?!"
Big Old Tori, then grabbed Void's head with one hand and pushed him back to the ground. "You see mister Void, earlier tonight; you did a big number on me when you were trying to save your chimera friend."
Big Old Tori then gave Void a good kick to his abdomen.
"Oww!" Void cried as he held onto his abdomen in pain.
"And I personally wanted to return the favor after you threw me off the building earlier. So I came across this robot you see before you... And with my virus coding skills, I turned this robot into the very piece of malware that not even a single anti-virus can detect or destroy... Spider.exe!" Big Old Tori explained.
Void got back to his feet looking shocked, "You mean to tell me... you created a zero-day virus?!!!"
Big Old Tori chuckled and bowed his head in response.
Big Old Tori then turned his attention to Tarantula, "Ohh Tarantula... Dinner is ready!!!" Prompting for the robot to attack the anti-virus.
"Now forgive me mister anti-virus, but I best be on my way." Big Old Tori said as he laughed, while walking away from the courtyard. He then fled into the night; leaving the anti-virus to deal with the arachnid looking robot.
As Void looked up towards the spider looking robot, he noticed the metallic arachnid was holding SNT hostage by its claws.
Void quickly drew his sword and began to run towards the spider. "Halt! Unhand her, you vile fiend!"
Tarantula turned his head ninety degrees and looked down at Void, he laughed, "Is this your new friend, experiment?"
"Don't you dare hurt my cutie pie!" SNT exclaimed, she shook her head and said, "Oh no... Not again."
"Hold on SNT! I'm here to save you!" Void shouted.
"Really, with that dinky little blade?" Tarantula snarked, he then lifted one of his tentacles and transformed it into a saw blade with a spider web pattern. He pointed all of his fingers as laser pointers aimed towards Void's head and his helmet eyes began to glow a pure red.
Shocked and terrified; Void swallowed his saliva, "Gulp".
Tarantula fired all of his weapons at the blueberry robot. Void ran for his life to take cover from all the incoming fire.
Tarantula smirked, "Excellent strategy."
"Void!" SNT shouted. Tarantula then slammed her on the ground. The chimera grabbed one of Tarantula's tentacles and began to spin the spider-bot around and around, until the tentacle snapped and sent Tarantula crashing into the wall where Void was hiding.
"Dammit SNT!" Void exclaimed.
"Oops... Sorry!" SNT chuckled nervously,
Void ran towards SNT, but Tarantula quickly caught him with one of his claws. The spider-bot then lifted him upside-down.
Void tried to pry the claw open, but he wasn't strong enough. Tarantula slammed the blueberry robot onto the ground repeatedly and tossed him to another wall, causing the debris to pile on top of him.
"Stay out of my way." Tarantula threatened, he then looked at SNT who was holding one of his broken tentacles, "And you, you have something that belongs to me." His face optics began to blink repeatedly.
SNT was confused at what her opponent was doing, but she then noticed the broken tentacle began to move around on its own. The tentacle slapped SNT in the face and moved like a snake towards its owner.
The tentacle lifted itself with its claw and reattached to Tarantula's harness like it was never broken.
SNT's eyes widened at what she just witnessed. Tarantula could only smirk at his arch-enemy expression. The chimera shook her head and gritted her teeth.
"Okay mister, I don't know where you came from, or how you know me. But let's end this, right now!" SNT declared before rushing towards her opponent with a spin dash.
"It'll be my pleasure!" Tarantula unleashed his saw blades and leapt towards his arch-enemy.
Void lifted the debris that trapped him, he saw SNT and Tarantula rushing towards each other with weapons in hand.
He looked up towards the robot and gave a stern look, "No... I will not stand down!" He rushed towards the battle as fast as he could before SNT could get hurt.
SNT and Tarantula clashed against each other with their attacks. The spin dash surprisingly held well against the spider-bot's sawblades, but it wasn't long before Tarantula retaliated by transforming one of his tentacles into a hammer.
As the fight escalated, Void ran closer and closer towards the 2 combatants, he tackled Tarantula and held firmly onto his head. SNT let out a barrage of punches towards the arachnid's body. Leaving dents on his frame.
Tarantula powered his eye beams and blasted SNT away from him.
"SNT!" Void shouted. Tarantula grabbed the blueberry boy with his claw. One of the arachnid's tentacles deployed a metal syringe out and stabbed Void in the chest.
The blue robot's eyes shrunk and his pupils turned red. He then took his last breath. Tarantula removed the syringe out of Void's body. The blue robot fell on the ground as he began to cough binary coded blood uncontrollably.
Tarantula then grabbed Void by the foot and raised him to his eye level, he let a wide wicked smile across his faceplate. As he transformed one his tentacles into his sawblade.
Void looked towards Tarantula with his eyes barely open; ready to face the dreaded blue screen.
The arachnid then swiped his tentacle at Void's neck and sliced his head off his body. The head landed a few meters on the ground.
And with that, the poor anti-virus had blue screened.
SNT looked on in horror at what just happened, "VOID!" she cried.
Tarantula walked towards Void's head and lifted it off the ground with his hand, "What wrong, experiment? Did you just lose the love of your life?" He taunted while twirling Void's head on his finger.
SNT's right eye twitched before forming into a frown, her fists clenched and gritted teeth, she rushed at Tarantula in a rage. But the spider-bot jumped high in the air and climbed a nearby building to retreat.
SNT kicked a stone in frustration as her boyfriend's killer escaped.
SNT then rushed to Void's body and held onto his stomach. She then reached for his decapitated head and placed both body parts close to each other.
"Void?!!! OH VOID!!! He's... he's... NO!!!! VOID!!!" SNT cries as she mourns for the blue anti-virus' death. "Ohh, if only I had rescued you sooner... then none of this would have happened.
It's all my fault... IT'S ALL MY FAULT!!! VOID, I'M SO SORRY!!!" SNT placed her head next to Void's decapitated head and cried her heart out.
But suddenly, SNT remembered something that Void taught her since the last time the robot blue screened to his death... System Restore.
SNT puckered up her lips and closed her eyes as her special aura began to shine.
She kissed Void's lips tenderly.
Little did the chimera realize; as she was kissing the robot, his body was glowing pink as well. And his robot parts began to reattach to his head. System restore had been successful.
She then hugged the robot's body with all her might as his arm began to slowly move.
He then lifted his arm and gently placed it on her cheek. "SNT?... is that... you?"
Shocked, SNT looked at Void and held onto his cheeks, "VOID!!! YOU'RE ALIVE!!! I thought you were gone forever!"
Void slowly looked down at his body and then back to her face, "Did... did you use system restore on me?"
SNT continued to hug the robot, "Of course I did, silly. I wasn't gonna watch you die in front of me. After all, you've been my anti-virus for the last 2 years... AND I DON'T WANT TO LOSE YOU AGAIN!!!" She cried.
Void slowly grabbed her waist and hugged her as he cried onto her shoulder. "SNT... thank you for rescuing me, I really do appreciate it."
"But I don't understand, why did you do that?!" SNT cried as she looked at his crying face.
"Because I lost you once... and I'll be damned if I ever lose you again!!!" Void shouted as he continued to cry. However Void began to cough and grabbed onto his stomach.
SNT then held onto his hand that was grabbing his stomach, "Shhh. save your strength my little anti-virus, you'll need it again eventually."
"Oh SNT..." Void said as he and SNT shared another kiss before they both helped each other back to their feet.
As the pair slowly returned to their feet, Catney and Saki slowly got back up after getting slammed into a wall earlier.
"Ugh... nii-chan are you okay?" Catney asked,
"I'm not sure... I think I pulled something." Saki responded, "Wait did we just get our a*s kicked?!!!"
"I'm not sure who or what attacked us, we got knocked out before we were able to get a clear view of our attacker."
As Carney walked up to Saki to bring her back to her feet, they both turned their heads to find SNT carrying Void in her arms.
"SNT! Void!" Both girls shouted in unison as they ran towards the pair.
But suddenly, Void collapsed back to the ground, luckily, SNT was able to catch him before he could fall.
"COURTNEY!!! SAKI!!! HELP ME!!!" SNT shouted.
Catney grabbed onto Void's upper body while Saki held onto his lower body. "Quick, we need to get Void to a nearby doctor immediately!!!"
"B*h!!! Where the f*k are we gonna find a doctor around here?!!!" Saki shouted,
Catney looked up at the mountain which had the golden statue of Eggman raising his arm, "I know just the doctor to call for such an emergency."
"Look Catney! Are you sure you want to do this?!!! If Content Control finds us..."
"I am sure Saki!" Catney interrupts, "Give me your phone, I need to make a call!"
Saki hands Catney her smartphone, and Catney starts dialing a number. Within a moment, a voice on the other end began to speak, "Hello? Who is this?"
"Hello Doctor Robotnik... I need your help!" Catney declared with a stern look on her face.
Meanwhile, on the rooftop of a nearby building, the spider looking robot grinned as he watched the destruction of the anti-virus begin to unfold below him.
As he watched the aftermath of his fight with the chimera, Big Old Tori slowly approached him, "Mister Tarantula sir, what in the hell happened down there?! You could have destroyed that chimera to make sure the anti-virus stays deleted forever!!! Why didn't you stop her?!!!"
The robot looking spider turned around to face the moderator, "Big Old Tori... Do you know NOTHING about the rules of war?! When the odds are against you, it is always best to retreat and regroup for the next fight."
Big Old Tori was furious, he lifted his finger and began to point at Tarantula, "So, you mean to tell me that your intentions were not to destroy the anti-virus?"
"Correct! My intentions were to send a message to my arch nemesis. Now that she knows i've returned, she won't stop thinking about my next move. And that fear alone... will consume her!" Tarantula explained.
The moderator pointed at Tarantula once again, "Listen to me Tarantula, we reactivated you to go after a pesky anti-virus. And if you should disobey us, we will not hesitate to decommission you a nd throw you in the scrap yard, do we understand each other?!!!" Big Old Tori threatened.
But Tarantula turned his back on the moderator, "Why would I betray Content Control after they've given me so much?
Besides, if I am to defeat the anti-virus and his friends, I should at least inquire for more assistance. After all, the numbers game is powerful when you have allies to assist you."
The moderator wasn't impressed, "I don't know how I can trust you to find the right people!"
Tarantula then turned around and slowly approached the large purple robot, "Didn't you come to me because your job was to recruit more soldiers? Well, i'm giving you the opportunity to make sure you accomplish your objective towards Content Control."
The large purple robot crossed his arms, "And how do you propose to do this? Might I ask?"
Tarantula responded by lifting his claw and placing it over the moderator's shoulder. "Simple. Content Control has a database, complete with a list of all the world you plan to censor.
If you can grant me admin access, I can help make your job a whole lot easier."
The moderator began to think about it, "Hmm... I don't know. Giving you admin privileges could get me into a lot of trouble."
But the spider looking robot grinned at him, "Come on... don't you want master Quant to see you as more than just some errand boy?
Don't you want everyone to praise you for your brilliance, Tori? All i'm trying to do is help you. After all... What do we have to lose?"
Big Old Tori thought about it for a brief moment.
He then took out his walkie talkie and began to radio in, "Big Old Tori to Foxx, come in Foxx. I need admin access to our database. We have some new soldiers to recruit."
The spider looking robot then grinned at the moderator and gave out another robotic laugh, "HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"
