Welcome back to The Injustice Wars. Last time, we officially entered Year Six of this war with Green Arrow and Black Canary still missing, but apparently Kahndaq is now under threat. And knowing that some of the villains on all sides are after the Rock of Eternity, this is no surprise. Blaze, realizing that since both Black Adam and Wonder Woman are going to be there and that both of them have something she needs to bring back Dragnarok, decides to go check out the matter herself, only taking Belial along. Meanwhile, it was revealed Darkblood has Green Arrow and Black Canary, and is trying to get information out of them regarding the actions of his enemies. When neither decided to cooperate, Darkblood decided to get the information he wanted via magical torture, with the aid of Doctor Fate. So, what awaits in Black Adam's kingdom? Read on to discover...
(The scene starts out in the Javelin 7, where Blaze and Belial Aether are going over the basic situation in Kahndaq as they know it)
Belial Aether: So let me get this straight. Black Adam through the Wisdom of Zehuti, has been having some kind of foresight in his dreams indicating that Kahndaq is about to be attacked either from the sky or the ground. And we're just relying on that as intel because your list of stuff needed to bring back your beloved.
Blaze: Pretty much.
Belial Aether: Of all the things I've heard of Toth giving out, I've never heard of prophetic dreams. (Thinks about it) Well, unless we count that Joseph kid. Though he was only a rumor now that I recall it.
Blaze: (Confused) Who the heck is Toth?
Belial Aether: Another name for Zehuti. He was going through a bit of an edge-lord phase when he came up with that one I'm told. Father could never finish that story without suppressing laughter. I've been meaning to ask him for millennia.
Blaze: (Completely unsure of what to do with all of that information) Ooooooookay?
Belial Aether: Misadventures of the gods of Egypt aside, what makes you think we can trust Wonder Woman's intel about these dreams?
Blaze: That's the funny part. I don't.
Belial Aether: Then why are we meeting them at their base?
Blaze: You nailed one of the reasons earlier.
Belial Aether: Your list of items.
Blaze: Exactly. The Living Lightning has to mean Black Adam. And Blood of Olympus? Wonder Woman's the only person I know here who's related to Olympus at all. At least among those still living.
Belial Aether: Fair enough. But you indicate there's another reason?
Blaze: There is. Consider this an espionage mission. I have this feeling that Diana is working on something behind our backs. I want to get some evidence of it.
Belial Aether: Honestly, that makes sense.
Blaze: (Checks the systems) We're about to enter Kahndaqi airspace. Wonder Woman and Black Adam are apparently waiting for us.
Belial Aether: Well, here goes everything.
(And sure enough, as the Javelin 7 lands, there stand Wonder Woman and Black Adam, watching as Blaze and Belial Aether disembark.)
Wonder Woman: I'm surprised this old bucket of bolts still flies.
Blaze: After Barry did some work on it, she flies like a dream.
Black Adam: (Looking at Belial Aether) You were blessed by Anubis, I see.
Belial Aether: I'm his son, not his avatar, Adam.
Black Adam: You say that, but I think we both know otherwise.
Belial Aether: (Summons his shadow khopesh) Watch your tongue. This Wizard Shazam may have imbued you with six gods' powers, but I've beaten each of them.
Black Adam: (Scoffing) Do I sense a challenge?
Belial Aether: Don't start a fight you can't finish.
Wonder Woman: Boys, there's no time for posturing now.
Blaze: As much as I hate to agree with her, Diana has a point. We're here on business. Save the brawling for later.
(Realizing they're right, Black Adam and Belial Aether step down and rejoin their respective sides)
Blaze: Anything new since we last spoke.
Black Adam: Contemplation into my dreams has revealed there can be only one possible motive for an incursion into Kahndaq.
Blaze: Let me guess. The Rock of Eternity.
Black Adam: For one without the Wisdom of Zehuti, you arrived at that conclusion as quickly as I did.
Blaze: It was kind of obvious to be honest.
Belial Aether: Question. What is the Rock of Eternity again?
Black Adam: The source of my power. The throne of the Wizard.
Wonder Woman: And with Shazam's death years ago, Black Adam is the only person left alive who has access to it.
Blaze: So no doubt both Brainiac and Darkblood are looking to get into the place. The only reason they haven't struck yet, I'd guess, is that they're trying to find a vulnerability.
Wonder Woman: They won't find one.
Blaze: Teth-Adam's dreams seem to say otherwise. So we'd better start preparing our defenses.
Wonder Woman: Begrudgingly, agreed.
Blaze: Speaking of defenses, I thought Cyborg was going to Boom Tube us here. What happened to him?
Wonder Woman: (Trying to lie) He and Damian are off on another task.
Blaze: (Knowing full well she's lying, but trying to to let on to it) Huh. It's not like you to do last minute missions, from what I hear.
Wonder Woman: These sorts of things happen. Now then, let's get to work.
(Blaze knows Wonder Woman is lying about something, but doesn't press it in order to not let on to what she's doing there. The four then walk off as the scene ends)
And that looks like a good place to end off for now. It looks like Blaze is on to Wonder Woman having a secret plan. Though she doesn't quite know what we know yet. Will she by the end of this misadventure in Kahndaq? Tune in next time to start finding out! Same time... same channel!
