So here is where Bimbette finally meets Glass Joe! Thinking about how to go about weather I should translate what they are saying in French into English

Little Mac led Bimbette out of Forest and to Glass Joe's apartment...All the while Bimbette looking more and more like a frightened fawn being led out of the safety of the forest.

Finally when they reached the apartment door...Bimbette said a man with bright flaming red hair but soft gentle chocolate brown eyes and she realized he was the exact same man she had seen on the covers of all those magazines talking about the first human/mutant marriage...She realized that this human was sweet and kind but she also wondered what such a man had any business being a boxer!

"Bonjour Mademoiselle…" Glass Joe said

"Bonjour!" Bimbette said "Cela fait si longtemps que je n'ai pas eu quelqu'un avec qui parler Français!"

"S'il vous plaît, entrez" Glass Joe said

So what Glass Joe hoped with the language barrier preventing Little Mac from understanding too much he hoped Bimbette would be more open to talk with someone she didn't feel as emotionally attached to as Little Mac.

He asked her what part of France she was from and she said Calais...Joe stroked his chin in though as that city was right next to the English channel...The main port between France and England which only strengthened his belief in the connection between Mutants and the Anglosphere but he quickly put that thought to file away for later and asked her about how she was raised

Bimbette told him about how her Master raised her on a beautiful estate where she could be kept safe from prying eyes and how he monitored the early years of her mutation shortly after she had been given the injections of mutagen as a newborn...That she slowly began walking on her hind legs and speaking like a human...Seeing her intelligence was outpacing that of a human child of the same age he taught her how to play the violin...And how before she ran away she would practice for hours while waiting for her 'mother' to come back

" Ta mère?" Glass Joe asked

"Elle n'était pas sa femme, elle était juste sa petite amie et quand il a rompu avec elle, elle a arrêté de venir au domaine... Vous savez comment c'est…" Bimbette explained

Joe sighed he understood far to well...And it was already giving him the sense that her 'Master' was a kind of sleazy person and that Bimbette was right to run away from him.

Then he asked her as delicately as he could about her origins because he knew a whe tailed deer is a species native to North American and he knew France had no shortage of its own native deer species so he was just wondering how she came to live in France.

And she seemed to become very nervous at this question saying that all her Master had told her was it was because in her search for the perfect subject for his psychic powers serum he looked through a menageries of various young animals and used his intuition to find her...Suggesting this Master had some kind of latent psychic abilities of his own…

OK that probably gives a hint of why Bimbette is so scared to talk about her past if her Master might have been genuinely psychic himself also I did put the explanation of the family situation in French I mean it's not that gross but it does say that the woman was just the man's current girlfriend not his wife but that the time Bimbette bonded with her like she was a mother figure
