The day had gone along smoothly so far, and the entire time Cam was on high alert wondering when or god-forbid if Hank would call or show up. If either happened everything would get blown up, she, Mark, and Amelia would all be dead. She knew Dani was a young and naive child with no idea of the intentions of what Mark was planning.

She saw the time and it was nearing 3 in the afternoon she was hoping if she made the right excuse she could easily get Dani away from him and back home before Hank found out.

"Mark it's getting late now, I need to get Dani home and make her something to eat" Cam said keeping her voice straight.

Mark looked at her and saw the time, he didn't want to leave his granddaughter yet but if he was out too long it would raise suspicious.

"I suppose you're right but remember, not a word to this to Hank or else" Mark told her quietly in her ear.

Cam nodded. "I understand"

"Smart girl"

Mark quickly turned his attention back to his young granddaughter. "Alright sweetheart, I have to go and I'll see you next time alright?"

Dani nodded excitedly. "I can't wait to tell daddy when he gets home tonight"

That had gotten Mark nervous, if Hank found out he would be a dead man. "Well sweetheart why don't we keep this visit a secret for the time being. We'll wait to tell your dad"

Dani frowned. "Why don't you want me to tell him? If he's your friend and you work with him, he would want to know"

"Remember Dani, it's a secret and secrets are meant to be kept. This is just one of those things that we keep to ourselves until the time is right"

Dani felt it didn't add up but went along with it. "Alright, I won't tell my dad. When do we tell him?"

"I'll tell him, it's something grown-ups need to discuss"

She nodded again. "Okay. When can we see each other again?"

"Soon sweetheart, real soon and next time I'll have a very special friend with me"

The young girl's eyes sparkled with excitement. "Really? Who?"

"It's a surprise for next time. For now, it's time for you to go with Cam back home and remember don't tell your dad our secret. Pinky swear" He held out his pinky finger for her.

She smiled and hooked his pinky finger with his. "Pinky swear"

"Attagirl, now go on"

Dani nodded and went with her nanny, Mark sent one final look at Cam silently reminding her. She says a word she goes down with him and Amelia. Cam nodded and left with the six-year-old. After they were gone and Mark was in the clear he pulled his phone out making a call to his wife.

"Yes, today went exactly as planned. Next visit you'll come. Cam understands the consequences. Good, have it set up, we'll be out of the country and to Switerland before Hank Voight knows what hit him"

Meanwhile

Cam finally made it back to Hank's house and she started dinner so Dani could eat, the entire time she was still on high alert. She didn't think she'd be this far in deep with Mark and Ameila's plans but now she was and was trapped with no way out. If she told anyone especially Hank she'd have to face whatever consequences Mark and Amelia would have.

She knew on Mark's next visit, Amelia would be joining him and they would continue to manipulate and con Dani and the young girl was buying up all of it not realizing their true intentions.

The front door had opened and Hank walked in, Dani looked over and saw him walking in. A huge small had broke out across her face as she run to him.

"Daddy!" Dani squealed in excitement.

Hank smiled and bent down sweeping her up. "There's my girl. How was your day sweetheart?"

Cam held her breath but kept a smile on her face hoping she wouldn't say anything about Mark. She let out the breath when Dani told him about their day at the zoo but no mentions of Mark. For the moment she was in the clear.

"Cam, thanks again for watching her" Hank said breaking her from her thoughts.

She quickly shook it off and gave him a friendly smile. "You're welcome, Sergeant Voight. I just finished dinner, I have to go early tonight. I'm sorry, I have an early class tomorrow. I'll be able to pick up Dani as soon as I can tomorrow"

"It's no problem" Hank noticed something was up. "Everything alright Cam? You seem nervous"

"Just my classes, college can be a pain. Exams are coming up in a few weeks, getting in a lot of time to study. Once exams are finished hopefully the stress goes away"

Hank eyed her and nodded believing her for the time being. "I hope the exams go well"

"Thank you and good night"

Cam grabbed her backpack swinging it over her shoulder and left. None of her behavior had gone unnoticed, Hank had picked up everything and had been determined to figure out what the hell was going on and if Dani was in any danger.
