Jay rushed down the dark tunnel, holding his hand up and letting the blue lightning illuminate the tunnel. His feet pounded on the ground, his heart thumping in his chest. Where was she? Where was she? Did he go down the wrong tunnel? What happened to her? Why did the communication cut off? Where was she? What if he never saw her again? Why did he stay with her? Why did he let her run?

Calm down.

Calm down.

Jay stopped. He didn't know where she was. He couldn't talk to her. But he did have the Adornment, which meant his powers were stronger. But that wasn't enough. What did he know about it? It enhanced your elemental powers, meaning you had a stronger control and sense of it. It heals your wounds when you put it on. You get more energy. Wait. Sense. Jay closed his eyes, filling his lungs with the musty, tunnel air, and inhaling. Electricity. He could find Nya because he could sense the electricity. The electricity in her earpiece. He reached out into the mountain, searching, searching for energy. For electricity. For his element. And there! A pinprick of power. Around 30 metres to his left, through the rock walls and into the other tunnel. Lying on the floor, crushed and sparking. His beacon to Nya.

He raised his head. And with a yell he pulled his hands backwards, bright, flashing blue lightning engulfing his arm. He flung it forward, the lightning making contact with the rock, vaporising it. Blast, after blast after blast he carved his way into the mountain, eyes glowing bright. Hold on Nya, I'm coming.
