On a tranquil Inazuman day, Angel and Cherri wandered around Narakumi island, disguised with a kimono and kasa, when they saw a group of children.
« We're looking for the Great Mujina Youkai! » one of the kids exclaimed.
« Ah, excellent! What the hell is that? » Angel asked.
« Huh? You've never heard of it? » one of the kids asked. « It's a sneaky monster that goes 'round playing tricks on people! It's got magic powers and can even shapeshift into anything it wants! »
« One time, the Great Mujina Youkai stole some rice from our house. And this other time, it pushed my dad into the river. » another kid explained.
« Oh…that's…interesting…» Cherri said.
« Say, kids…you mind if I…call somebody? » Angel asked.
« No problem, mister! » the kids replied.
As the kids said that, Angel turned around and picked up his phone. « Iori what the fuck are ya kids doing!? »
« They have all come to Watatsumi island, under your instructions. » Iori replied.
« Well some have decided to go rogue and start shit with people! Get 'em in line, we need the support of the local folks! » Angel replied.
« Yeah, because your explosions bring such happiness to the people of Inazuma. » Iori replied.
« Oh, fuck off, fatty. » Angel replied.
« I'm not "Fatty." I'm ENORMOUS! » Iori declared.
« The difference being? » Angel asked.
« Well the difference is one is insulting and the other is glorious! » Iori protested. « Nevertheless, none of my children are behind these attacks on the people of Inazuma. »
« Any ideas as to who could it be? » Angel asked.
« No idea. I guess you could add them as part of your entourage of people recruited as part of the resistance… » Iori guessed.
« Not a bad idea…» Angel smirked, before closing off the phone, and turning to the kids. « SO. The big prank monster…How do you deal with him? »
« My dad said that the Great Mujina Youkai likes to play tricks on people who stay out all the time and don't come home when they're supposed to. » one of the kids explained. « So all we need to do is chase it away, then we can come out and play whenever we want! »
« Sounds like a plan….but how about capturing it? » Angel proposed.
« What do you mean? » one of the kids asked.
« I'm sure that this creature is real and all, but there are so many jerks around here that would not believe your silly little heads…» Angel ruffled the hair of one of the kids.
« That's not true! The Great Mujina Youkai is definitely real! » one of the kids exclaimed.
« Yeah! Yoimiya's even making some weapon for us! And then, she's gonna show us how to blow it up! » another kid added.
« Oh, I believe ya, but again, there are so many people who won't take seriously, because they're big dumb dumb morons. » Angel replied.
« Yeah! Like Tits-Katana! » Cherri added.
« Who? » one of the kids asked.
« The Electro Archon. » Blitzo replied.
« What!? But-but-but she's so nice! I think…We've never met her…» one of the kids exclaimed.
« What can I say, never meet your heroes…» Cherri shrugged.
« Anyway, who might this Yoimiya be? We're…interested in meeting her….» Angel asked.
« We told her all about the Great Mujina Youkai. She said we shouldn't be scared of it — we should learn how to chase it away instead. » one of the kids explained. « We've been waiting for ages now, and finally, Yoimiya said that today's the day! »
« Can we meet her? » Angel asked.
« Sure thing! Follow us! » one of the kids exclaimed, as he raced off.
« Like a bug to a zapper…» Angel smirked.
Xxxxxxx
After a while, the group finally found Yoimiya.
She had a fair complexion, golden eyes with orange-red makeup painted at the corners, and shoulder-length light strawberry blonde hair. There is a small flower tattoo near her left shoulder and another similar tattoo patch around her upper left arm containing a red fish, flowers, and purple swirls.
Her hair was tied into a high ponytail that messily stuck out in all angles. She wore many festival themed hair accessories.
Her attire mainly consisted of a short orange-red kimono with only one sleeve worn. Her right sleeve was rolled up past her elbow and tied with a string. The left half of the kimono was draped around her waist. Her chest was wrapped up in sarashi, as were her left forearm and upper thighs, extending down to her right leg. A festival pouch hung from her waist on the left, and her Pyro Vision was secured to her obi on her right.
« Yoimiya! We found some nice people to chase the Great Mujina Youkai! » one of the kids exclaimed.
« Oh, is that right? » Yoimiya asked.
« Indeed. We're here to capture it for… making a point. » Angel explained.
« But…I thought we were supposed to chase it away…» one of the kids complained.
« Oh we can! AFTER we capture it and show it to everybody to prove a point. » Angel replied.
« Oh, that sounds nice! » one of the kids exclaimed.
« All right, kids. I have a few slips of paper for you guys — one each. Remember to give it to your parents and tell them to keep it safe. » Yoimiya handed over some pieces of paper to the kids. « Just tell them it's from Yoimiya. They'll know what it's about. »
« Okay! Thank you, Yoimiya! We're gonna go back now. » one of the kids waved her goodbye.
« Thanks, Yoimiya! Come play with us soon! » another kid exclaimed.
« Sure thing, will do! Take care on the way back, and I'll see you later! » Yoimiya waved the kids goodbye. When they were gone, she turned towards the demons, a stern look on her face.
« Good to see someone giving a shit 'bout the kiddies…» Angel smirked.
« Cut the crap. I know you're demons. » Yoimiya replied.
« Aaaand we're busted. » Angel shrugged, as he removed his mask, alongside Cherri.
« Look, whatever you're planning, keep those kids out of it. » Yoimiya replied.
« I mean, child soldiers are pretty hot. » Angel smirked.
« Do you want to EXPLODE ? » Yoimiya threatened the demon.
« Just joking. This Yoke guy seems like a far better candidate than some brats. » Angel replied.
« Uh…hate to break it to you, but… the Great Mujina Youkai is not real…» Yoimiya replied.
« …Bitch what?! » Cherri exclaimed.
« Yeah, the first time I heard about it, I knew straight away that it was probably something the parents had come up with to stop the kids from running off all the time. » Yoimiya explained. « But when the kids asked me about it, I didn't wanna break it to them. I just told them that it looks cute, likes to play pranks, and doesn't hurt people. »
« Well that was a waste of time…» Cherri groaned annoyed.
« Maybe not entirely… » Angel smirked.
« Let me guess. You want me to join the Watatsumi Army. » Yoimiya replied.
« Think of all the happy things that can happen to Inazuma once the gates are broken down. All the happy faces on the kids once they get to experience actual playthings, rather than made up stories…» Angel proposed.
« No Vision Hunting Decree, no Lockdown…and that's just the beginning….» Cherri added.
« …It IS true that I do not support the current regime of Inazuma, but I'll have to give it some though. » Yoimiya replied. « Ahh! Okay, it's about time I headed back. The Naganohara Fireworks Show is just around the corner, and there's still a lot of things to get ready. »
« We can help you. Might as well, in order to…Sweeten the deal… » Angel proposed.
« Oh, all right. In that case, come with me to Naganohara, we'll go see my pops! There're still a few fireworks to finish off before the show. » Yoimiya replied.
Xxxxxxx
And so, the trio reached Naganhoara Fireworks.
« Hey, Pops, I'm back! » Yoimiya greeted his father.
« The fireworks show is almost upon us, and the fireworks for each family are almost ready. » the father said. « Oh, new faces? Who are these two? Friends, or customers? »
« plicated…. They arrived in Inazuma just recently. Can't let them miss out on a fireworks show after coming all this way, can we? » Yoimiya explained.
« Hahaha, well, either way, come on in and have a seat and I, Naganohara Ryuunosuke, will tell you all about the long history of the Naganoharas. » the father begun his tale.
Xxxxxxx
Nine geological eras later….
« Much, much later, people eventually realized that if you grind certain minerals into dust, they burn with many beautiful colours. » the father finally ended his tale.
In the meantime, Cherri and Angel had essentially gone into hibernation, until Angel suddenly woke up. « Uh? Wuzzat? »
« Pops — Pops wait! » Yoimiya exclaimed.
« Eh? What is it? » the father asked.
« Did they deliver those firework materials that we ordered yet? » Yoimiya asked.
« Oh, yesterday's fireworks have all been delivered. So have the ones from the day before yesterday, and the ones from the day before that. » the father replied.
« No, Pops. I meant the materials. The materials that we ordered. They should have arrived today. » Yoimiya explained.
« Today's fireworks are almost ready, too, don't you worry! Hehe, your old man's skills are still as sharp as ever. » the father replied.
« No— Pops, the materials! The raw materials for making fireworks. » Yoimiya exclaimed.
« Sorry? » the father asked.
« Ma-te-ri-als! » Yoimiya exclaimed.
« Oh... Ohh, the materials? » the father asked.
« Yes, ya jackass! The fucking materials! » Angel exclaimed.
« The materials aren't here yet. The couriers did come over to explain why, but... Well, I think they did, but I couldn't quite hear what they were saying... » the father replied.
« No worries, as long as we know, that's fine. We can just make them later. Oh, uh — don't forget to take the goods in when they deliver them, okay, Pops? » Yoimiya requested.
« Of course, leave it to me. » the father replied.
« Oh, sorry if we were a little loud. it's always the way, though — it's like that every time I need to ask pops something. » Yoimiya apologised.
« And I thought my abusive gangster father was bad…» Angel groaned annoyed.
« He's a good person, alright. Everyone around here respects him. Because my pops is deaf, he never argues with anyone, and never contradicts them. He just listens cheerfully. » Yomiya replied. « When I was little, I thought it was because he really understood me, and agreed with whatever I had to say. So, I'd tell my pops everything. Eventually, I realized that the reason he was like that was that he's deaf. But I still tell him stories every day. »
« Even though he's deaf…» Angel noted.
« It just makes me happy to see him smile. And it keeps him from being lonely, right? » Yoimiya replied. « Anyway. More importantly right now, the fireworks show is right around the corner and the materials still haven't arrived. We need to think of an alternative... »
« Um, Yoimiya, is that you? » a voice came from inside the house.
« Wah! Oh, you scared me there! I thought I told you to be more careful before you speak? » a surprised Yoimiya scolded the voice.
« S—Sorry...» the voice apologised.
« Hold on, I'm coming over. » Yoimiya replied.
Xxxxxxx
And so, the trio exited the building. « No one's looking. Okay, you can come out now. Uh, come around the side. »
In response, the person hiding inside the house crawled out the window.
« We're lucky that no one from the Tenryou Commission was around, otherwise, we'd all be in big trouble. » Yoimiya sighed.
« Sorry, I guess I was a little rash. But when I heard you come back, I just... » the man apologised.
« Don't worry Sakujirou. So far, at least, everything is going according to plan. » Yoimiya replied. « We're going to look for firework materials shortly. While we're out, we'll sort out the boat situation for you, as promised. »
« Thank you for all your help. » Sakujirou thanked her.
« And who might this joker be? » Angel asked.
« He's one of our old customers. He came back to Inazuma from the outside world not long ago. While he was smuggling himself in, the Tenryou Commission found him and put out a warrant for his arrest... » Yoimiya explained.
« Oh, God damn it, Tits-Katana, why do you make it so easy for us? » Angel groaned annoyed.
« Shhhh, keep it down! We don't want to draw any unwanted attention. » Yoimiya hushed Angel. « If Sakujirou is caught, there's no knowing what crimes they could charge him with. All we can do is find him a boat and send him out of Inazuma again. »
« Not a problem. We have a way to get his ass out of this shithole. » Angel replied.
« I didn't want to cause any trouble for Yoimiya or Mr. Ryuunosuke, but I'm very grateful to them for taking me in. And as long as there is a way for me to get out without causing them problems, I'm all ears. » Sajujirou thanked the demon.
« Hey, no worries, you're more than welcome. Remember what I said? As long as you've got that little piece of paper, you'll always be a valued customer of the Naganoharas. » Yoimiya replied.
« Oh, you mean the same ya handed out to those kids? » Angel asked.
« Whenever a customer orders fireworks for a commemorative event, we always include a little paper slip with the goods. Only people from my inside my family can understand what's written on it. It's the recipe for the fireworks they ordered. » Yoimiya replied. « If someone shows a Naganohara that paper slip, we guarantee we can make the exact same firework as the original one they purchased, whether it's ten or even a hundred years later. It's a family tradition. All our regular customers know about this. »
« The slip I have is from back when my parents ordered fireworks from Mr. Ryuunosuke. Now I think about it, it must be nearly 20 years ago. » Sakujirou sighed. « Who would have thought that things would turn out the way they have... »
« It'll be fine. Escaping in a boat is just a last resort for if there's no other way. I'll still try and come up with a different solution, because it'd be much better if you could stay in Inazuma. » Yoimiya replied. « Whatever their reasons might be, if our customers come to us looking for help, we're not about to leave them high and dry. »
« Thank you... This way, I'll still have some time to consider my options... » Sakujirou thanked the woman.
« Would Watatsumi still count as Inazuma? » Cherri asked.
« I mean, by now it's essentially it's own independent state, but it still counts I guess? » Angel added.
« Watatsumi Island? Why do bring that up-Oh Archons you're with the Watatsumi Army, aren't you? » Sakujirou asked, before turning pale in realization.
« Indeed. Don't worry, God won't hear yer screams for now. » Angel replied, before handing him a piece of paper. « Give this to the boatman near our base South of here. He'll get ya there in a jiffy. »
« Weird day for me to thank demons, but still…thank you. And thank you so much to you as well, Yoimiya. » Sakujirou thanked the woman, before walking off.
« It's a shame, they still wouldn't give him a permit, even though he was born and raised in Inazuma. » Yoimiya sighed. « I just wish the commissions could be a little more flexible. »
« All the more reasons to join the Molos Independence Liberation Front. » Angel smirked.
« …MILF!?» an embarrassed Yoimiya exclaimed.
« Interested? » Angel smirked.
« I'm still thinking about it. but if you help me with the firework materials, I might consider it. » Yoimiya replied.
« Lead on, toots. » Angel replied.
Xxxxxxx
And so, the group reached the city, where they found the person that could sell firework materials.
« Hello, Morihiko. How's business these days? » Yoimiya greeted the shop owner.
« Haha, Yoimiya, there you are. I thought you might show up. » Morihiko replied. « No need to beat about the bush — you'll be here for the firework materials, I assume? I put a batch aside just for now. It'll definitely be enough. »
« Huh? Really? How did you know!? » Yoimiya exclaimed.
« Because a fireworks show is coming up! And that usually means you'll be running all over the place trying to get your hands on some last-minute materials. » Morihiko replied. « I've come to expect it now. There's always a few extras unaccounted for, eh. »
« So sorry for bothering you very time…» Yoimiya apologised.
« Ah, come on now, you know I didn't mean it like that! I'd sooner have my business go under than turn down one of your requests. » Morihiko replied. « What about you two, are you the ones needing some fireworks made? »
« One could say that. » Angel shrugged.
« Go ahead and take the ore, by the way. It's on the house. » Morihiko said, before handing some ore to Yoimiya.
« Oh no you do-» Yoimiya was about to protest, before Angel grabbed the ore.
« Yoink! Good to do business with ya! Onto the next shop! » Angel declared.
« …Motherfu-»
Xxxxxxx
And so, the group reached Amenoma Smithy.
« Hajime, Mr. Amenoma! It's me! » Yoimiya entered the smithy.
« Ah, Yoimiya. If I'm not mistaken, you must be here for some firework materials? » Hajime asked. « I'm very sorry, would you be able to wait for a while? I have quite a backlog of weapons orders right now. »
« No worri— Oh wait, actually... Ahh, yeah, that could be a problem... some worries. » Yoimiya replied. « Oh, how about this! Do you need a hand? As long as we can get through your orders, you can help me process my ore, right? »
« Uh… that will depend on my master…» Hajime replied.
« Oh, you don't mind, do you, Mr. Amenoma! As you know, it's not long now until the Naganohara Fireworks Show starts. » Youmiya turned to Amenoma. « There's still a lot of fireworks left to make. If I don't finish them on time... »
« The essence of Amenoma Art is patience and focus. When the mind is disturbed, it will show in the blade that is forged. » Amenoma replied. « If you badger Hajime like this, you will only succeed in disrupting his concentration. »
« B—But, this is a special circumstance, surely! The Naganohara Fireworks Show is right around the corner... » Hajime protested.
« So give me your ore, and I will process it for you. » Amenoma replied.
« Huh!? Master... you mean, you'll do the work personally? » Hajime asked shocked.
« Is that so surprising? It is, after all, the only option. » Amenoma replied.
« Thank you for helping out, Mr. Amenoma! » Yoimiya thanked the man.
« You're quite welcome. The Naganohara Fireworks Show is an important event, this I know well. In addition to this, I am indebted to Ryuunosuke for all the business he has given me. » Amenoma replied. « But Yoimiya... you should plan things more carefully in the future. Do not rush everything at the last minute. »
« Hehe, I'll try my best. In the future, I'll get some extra materials in to cover any unexpected changes of plan late in the day. » Yoimiya sheepishly apologised.
« Though for you, dear child, no matter how much you prepare in advance, it may never be enough... » Amenoma sighed. « Excuse me. I will be back shortly. »
Xxxxxxx
After a while, Amenoma was done.
« Wow, Mr. Amenoma! Just look at the shape and size of these grains... It's beautiful. I'm at a loss for words. » Yoimiya exclaimed. « It's been a while since I've seen you take up your tools, but it looks like your craft hasn't degraded one bit. »
« Of course. I have studied these techniques my whole life... they are impossible for me to forget. » Amenoma replied.
« Sounds like you and these firework freaks go a long way…» Angel noted.
« Back in the day, it was my master and Ryuunosuke's father. The people may have changed from one generation to another, but the ingredients required to make fireworks have remained the same. » Amenoma replied. « Hajime, in the future, this will be up to you. »
« I know, I know…» Hajime replied.
« Hahaha, alright, I won't bother you guys any longer. Remember to come and watch the fireworks! » Yoimiya exclaimed.
« And we didn't even have to deal with the NPC! » Angel added.
But as he said that, his phone let out a loud alarm. In response, he immediately picked up the phone. « Angel here, what is going on!? »
« Code Pearl Harbour here! The Tenryou fucks sent some of their boys on our southern base at Nanakumi! Man the stations! We're gonna repay the favour, Hiroshima style. » Blitzo's voice could be heard on the other side.
« Southern base-SHIT! » Angel cursed.
« Angel? What is going on!? » Yoimiya asked concerned.
« That's where I sent Sakujirou! We need to hurry! » Angel exclaimed, as he, Cherri and Yoimiya raced off.
Xxxxxxx
After a while, the group reached the destroyed Southern Base.
Blitzo and Moxxie were already there, inspecting the damage.
« Blitzo! How the fuck did they even manage to uncover it!? » Angel exclaimed.
« Fuck if I knew. » Blitzo replied, before turning to Yoimiya. « And who's the chick? »
« Yoimiya, of the Naganohara Fireworks. Have you seen a man named Sakujirou? » Yoimiya replied.
« One of the guys mentioned a guy called Sakujirou being chased by another dude of the commission, some NPC nobody called Keisuke. By the looks of things, those two go by a long way. » Blitzo replied.
« What the fuck even is an NPC!?» Yoimiya exclaimed exasperated.
« Notoriously Problematic Cretins. What? We can only violate the fourth wall so much before people start making questions! » Angel replied.
« We have to save him! Come with me, let's track them down! » Yoimiya exclaimed.
Xxxxxxx
Barraging through countless commission soldiers, they finally found the two men, locked into a fight, Sakujirou panting hard.
« Your skills with the sword have stagnated, Sakujirou... » Keisuke said coldly. « You should have known that you stood no choice against me in a duel. »
« I never imagined I'd fall into your hands. » Sakujirou replied. « If this is to be my fate, I accept it. I have nothing else to say. »
« But your return says that you finally came around to my point of view. » Keisuke replied.
« Whatever you say. » Sakujirou replied.
« You will return with me to the Tenryou Commission to await your sentencing. » Keisuke declared, before he felt a gun pointed at the back of his head.
« Drop your weapon, or I will personally package your corpse to Tits-Katana stuffed with explosives. » it was Blitzo, who threatened the man.
In response, Keisuke sighed, and did as told.
« Good. You may get to live. For now. » Blitzo said. « By the way, heard that you and Saku-whatever go back. You sure seem to be close, if you were so keen in destroying one of our bases like that. »
« We were childhood friends, but he abandoned Inazuma. He's a traitor, through and through. » Keisuke replied.
« It's okay. The past is the past. » Sakujirou replied.
« Then why did you risk life and limb to get yourself back into Inazuma!? And why were you so reluctant to leave after you got here!? » Yoimiya exclaimed. « I'll tell you why, this is why! This is the chance you've been waiting for, to talk everything through! »
« He's a criminal affiliated with the Watatsumi Army, I work for the Tenryou Commission. There was never any room for discussion. » Keisuke shot back. « Out of respect for the friendship we once had, I gave him a chance to fight for his freedom. But his skills with the sword are as disappointing now as they ever were. »
« Yeah, sure, break your back for the uncaring thunder whore. It will do GREAT for your conscience! » Blitzo shot back.
« Don't flatter yourself. What would you know? » Keisuke replied.
« Gentlemen, leave it. It was just my wishful thinking. » Sakurijou sighed.
« How 'bout ya fucks start getting this reunion on the fucking road? My fingers are getting ichy…» Blitzo demanded.
« You are just as obstinate as Sakujirou was back then. » Keisuke replied. « Why are you all so convinced that we have things to say to each other? »
« The Southern Base was one of the newest and blandest in the area. Nothing of value, barely any men in it, barely any strategy. And yet ya sure put a lot of fucking effort dealing with it. All for one guy. » Angel replied. « So how 'bout ya quit with the bullshit and start telling us what's your deal is? »
« The reason I came back is that... I felt lost. It wasn't that I'd changed my mind, I just felt that what I'd done in the past was to try to escape from reality. » Sakujirou was the first to speak. « I saw the freedom of Mondstadt, the contracts of Liyue, the wisdom of Sumeru, and the justice of Fontaine... It all left a deep impression on me. I was glad that I'd left Inazuma. But then I happened to hear about the Sakoku Decree. I was an escapee, and I was proud of that. But really, what I should have tried to do is take the good things from the outside world and bring them back home. »
« So that's why you came back? Out of your naive hope of changing the way things are here? » Keisuke asked.
« No, I let go of those delusions of grandeur. I just felt that... I never should have run away like that... After all, you never ran away. » Sakujirou replied. « I don't know about you, but life hasn't been easy for me. But I just had to come back and visit. It was like fate was calling me, and I couldn't ignore it any longer. »
« ...Life isn't easy for anyone. I truly worship the Raiden Shogun. Her ideas are my personal creed, and I desire nothing more than to see her will done. » Keisuke replied, after a short silence. « But now, my role is to punish violators of the Sakoku Decree and confiscate people's Visions. It's not what I signed up for when I joined the Tenryou Commission... I do wonder... Am I really doing the right thing? »
« You are not. Because you're an errand boy send by a thunder whore under the influence of some Russian fucks to collect a bill. » Angel replied.
« Russians? As in…» Keisuke widened his eyes in shock.
« They also go by the name of Fatui. Ring any bell? » Blitzo smirked.
« No…Y-you're wrong! You're lying at best! » Keisuke shot back.
« Boy. Ever since I got in this shithole of a nation, I have never lied. » Blitzo replied.
« T-this is absurd! Who would believe something like that!? » Keisuke exclaimed.
« Why act so surprised? You believe it. » Blitzo replied. « Sure, your loyalty to the bitch is still fighting with the idea, but it makes sense, does it not? The Ruskies get to sell their bootleg merch, the nation is weakened, and Stalin's plan goes smoothly. »
He then pulled out his gun, once more. « And considering our history with the Ruskies, since yer such an eager collaborator, I should probably plant a bullet in that STUPID head of yours, and I can guarantee you, that when I do, the only thing that BITCH is gonna care about, is if eternity is being maintained, and shrug that one of her lackeys is gone at best. »
« Wait, what are you- » Yoimiya was about to say, before being interrupted by Cherri, who grabbed her, whilst Angel grabbed Sakhjirou.
Keisuke's face turned pale, but alas, he accepted his fate, and closed his eyes.
Then, Blitzo sighed. « But I'm not going to do that. »
« …What? » Keisuke widened his eyes.
« You're a good kid. You're just serving a shitty master. » Blitzo replied. « Congratulations, Saku. Ya got a permit to Watatsumi. »
« W-what about Keisuke? » Sakujirou asked worried.
« Don't worry. We'll make sure he won't kick the bucket. » Blitzo replied, before handing a piece of paper to Keisuke. « If you ever want to do the smart thing, follow the instructions. »
« So…. has the matter been resolved? » Yoimiya asked.
« Sure. They both get to live. » Angel replied.
« That…is a relief…» Sakujirou sighed, before turning to Keisuke. « Any chance we could watch the fireworks together? »
« You should. We got a spot where ya can enjoy the show away from the Commission. Ya really need this. » Blitzo proposed.
« I'll be demoted for sure... » Keisuke sighed. « It's not like me to give in to childish sentiment like this. I can't explain why I went through with it. »
« I'm just surprised ya decided not to shoot him, Blitzo. » Angel noted.
« Let's just say…I may or may not know something about friendships going to hell… » Blitzo replied.
« I'm not gonna question it. Still, perhaps I will…consider your proposition, Angel. » Yoimiya sighed.
« Welcome to the team. » Angel smirked.
« You too? Heh, Inazuma really has failed its people, hasn't it? » Keisuke smiled bitterly.
« Hey, ain't your fault. Blame Tits-Katana.» Blitzo replied.
« …I still don't get your grudge against the Shogun. You brought hell on Inazuma ever since you got here! » Keisuke protested.
« She shoved a Katana in my ass, and started persecuting my people! All because she was fooled by the Futas! Argh, just the THOUGHT makes me pissed! » Blitzo shot back.
« …Is it true? Did the Fatui really influence both the Vision and Demon Decree? » Keisuke asked.
« We have proof back at Watatsumi. Join us, and you'll get to see. » Angel replied.
« …This is all so much…I….I need time…» Keisuke replied.
« Time is the one thing we have. In the meantime, go enjoy the fireworks. We have some things to discuss here with Yoimiya. She needs to come with us, her kids are REALLY going to town with the racoons. » Blitzo replied.
« Heh. Guess they did find the monster they were chasing… » Yoimiya sighed. « But I can't follow you now. »
« Why? » Blitzo asked.
« Follow me. I'll bring you to the perfect place to watch the fireworks. » Yoimiya explained. « My pops will set off the firework that I wanted to give to you. »
Xxxxxxx
And so, the group reached the spot, just in time to see the fireworks, a wonderful work of colours and forms.
To such a sight, even Yomiya could not help but gaze in awe.
« Enjoyin' the show, toots? » Angel asked.
In response, Yoimiya remained silent, and just gazed at the show.
In response, Angel too remained silent.
Xxxxxxx
After a while, the show was over.
« Ahh, that was amazing. It was so beautiful I could weep. » Yoimiya said. « Uh, I didn't actually cry, though, right? I just feel a bit misty-eyed. »
« Oh, I'm sure that once we open the gates of Inazuma to the rest of the world, you'll create something even better. » Blitzo shrugged.
