Mr. Teeth really did look like a shark faced demon. It wasn't a large shark head though and the face was oriented forward with binocular vision, much like a human. A crest ran from his brow ridge back over his head and down the back of it. That same brow ridge came to a point over his nostrils under which was a mouthful of sharp, but not large, teeth. The fact that the mouth didn't completely close and combined with the lidless, solid black eyes, slightly larger than a human's eyes, did however, give him a menacing appearance.

Still not as scary as Mayor Wilkins though, as far as Allen Finch was concerned. "So, you think you can do it?" He asked.

"I don't see it being a difficult job." Mr. Teeth replied. "Is it still standard practice to have no security cameras in facilities considered public?"

"Yes, it's an ordinance that the new officials have not yet addressed."

"Than aside from the fact that there may be some humans in the building, I don't see any problems. Do you have any issues if we kill any humans we encounter?"

"Mayor Wilkins does not. My opinion is not required to be expressed on the matter."

"No, a lackey's opinion is rarely ever required." Mr. Teeth agreed. "Very well, for the agreed amount of kittens, my crew and I will retrieve this artifact the Mayor finds so interesting." Mr. Teeth glanced at the picture on the front page of the paper Allen Finch showed him. "What it is, I don't care, personally."

"Since the Mayor has no interest in your opinion either, I'd say that's for the best. If this job goes well, he may require your services again in the future."

"Just remind him that henchmen get paid more than lackeys or minions."

"Mayor Wilkins rewards loyalty, regardless of position. Bring it through the tunnels into the subbasement under City Hall, tonight, if possible."

"Payment upon delivery?"

"Yes, they're being collected as we speak and we will have the agreed upon amount before you arrive."

"Good. We'll see you then." He held out a scaly hand and man and demon shook on it. Allen Finch was well passed any thought on the surreality of such an action and departed the crypt to oversee the collecting of the kittens required for payment as Mr. Teeth and his crew departed themselves, heading for the Museum. Allen Finch knew the police department would have to investigate the theft, but would find no evidence that linked to a human. The Museum had no access to the tunnels and Mr. Teeth and his crew would have to transport it to the nearest tunnel access point and carry it through the tunnels from there. It was passed the time the Slayer, who only patrolled a couple of times a week since the disappearance of the vampires anyway, would be out. The odds of anyone seeing them were very slim.

None of them expected to encounter someone at all, beyond any humans that might be at the Museum, which was two Security Guards making rounds. They died fairly quickly and not so painlessly as they were no match for five demons that approached them silently and quickly from behind, even if they had had time to draw the tasers they were armed with. What the demons didn't known was there was someone watching them, someone who'd recently discovered the nightlife that existed in Sunnydale. Johnathan had been exploring his new condition when he'd first realized more than humans walked upright and talked in Sunnydale. After encountering the invisible creature who'd bled on him at the hospital it wasn't as much of a surprise as it would otherwise have been.

When he'd first realized he could go invisible at will he'd been very excited, he was as much of a scifi geek as Xander Harris. Being super strong was also great. The fact that he couldn't eat food anymore wasn't. Discovering he could leach energy from other living beings had freaked him out. Some research had led to him discovering he'd become an energy vampire or energy leach and made him realize that's what the creature was that he'd seen at the hospital. But that thing had been feeding on kids and Johnathan had refused to feed on humans at all. Which led to him experimenting on just what he could feed on. Plants gave him nothing, animals could help stave off hunger, but he felt bad about feeding on them.

Then he'd discovered he could feed on the weird creatures around Sunnydale. One was enough to sustain him for a week and he didn't even need to feed so much that they died, which relieved his conscience. He didn't want to be killing anything, but it also hadn't taken him long to realize that many of these creatures did kill humans. Alerting the world to the fact these things existed might mean they'd consider him and his strange new abilities and need to feed one of them. But if they were feeding on or just plain killing humans, than he had a reason to target them, as long as he stuck to the ones that killed or fed on humans.

Which led to him sneaking up behind one of the weird creatures that had just killed the Security Guards. A shark faced creature had ordered it to stand guard at the door, which gave Johnathan the opportunity to use his invisibility and sneak up and feed on it, enough to satisfy his hunger and leave it unconscious. Johnathan was gone before Mr. Teeth discovered his unconscious minion.

A discovery that made him a confused and unhappy demon
