Winx X Saber Dragon Fire Rider

ESKK: Well here we are again so let's begin the 3rd Chapter.

(Start Red Fountain Flare's dorm)

Morning arrived as one would expect with Flare seen hugging a body pillow he brought from home while drooling on it in his sleep. He was currently wearing only his under shirt and boxers as he slept soundly. Flare was a heavy sleeper and he hated mornings but he forgot he was currently attending a military school and his squad mates did not want to be late nor let Flare be late.

Thus Sky, Riven, Timmy, and Brandon surrounded Flare all looking at him. "It's like us back when we first started." Sky said as he saw it was an adorable sense of nostalgia with Ico sleeping on the bed curled up.

"So who wants to wake him?" Brandon asked and thus Riven smirked to this as he had an idea on what to do.

(Later)

The sound of a gong being heard in the room echoed as Flare and Ico shot up awake in shock to this with Flare screaming. Flare fell off the bed in a pile of sheets as he glared at the source of it and saw Riven and glared at him. "You jerk." Flare growled but then Sky cut in.

"Come on Flare time to get up." Sky said as Flare looked outside the window and rubbed his eyes a bit.

"Oh come on guys the sun isn't even awake yet." Flare said as he hated mornings.

"Well first day of classes and dude you need to catch up to us." Brandon said and thus Flare growled before getting up.

"Plus you got the dog." Timmy said gesturing to Ico who stretched out as well.

"Fine I'll get ready." Flare said once he was up and ready to go.

(Scene Break Later)

After Flare did his morning routines and walked Ico he was dressed in his uniform and currently in one of the fields for practice. Flare found himself among a large crowd of students as he tried to figure out who was whom in terms of years. Furthermore he saw that as an all-boys school he hardly had any concepts for the dating stage around here.

Ico was of course in the room watching TV at the moment as Flare swore the dog watched cartoons like a human being. Flare figured this was the opening orientation of this school as he saw a man standing over them and addressing them all. "Alright you whelps!" The man in question yelled out. This man was a rather burly man with mutton chops facial hair which the brown color matches the hair on his head as he looked over the crowd of students. "I am Codatora, you primary training instructor for your time here! For those that are new here, you are sent to Red Fountain for a reason! To cull any threat that dares attack any civilian!" He began as Flare wondered just what he got himself into.

"But the way you are now, you may not be able to handle even an anorexic rat! Thus bring us to how to get past that, training!" He called out as Flare saw some of the students get excited while others got nervous... so basic training in the military. Well Flare's dad did always claim he'd send Flare to military school if he didn't straighten out his temper. "Obviously your training will be rigorous, it will make you feel like you wish you were never born!" He called out before he took a brief glance at a certain red-haired individual. "More so when you break this academy's rules!" He said while looking at Flare who knew he was being signaled out on that one. "But you shall persevere, as the toil will pay off in the end! That is all!" He called out and thus Flare saw it was time to begin.

"Follow your training group and start your warm ups from there! Break start 3 hours from now! Dismissed!" He called out and thus the students all broke up into their individual groups.

Flare then sighed and began to walk on over to Sky's group for training. "Hey Flare, um sorry." Sky began as he looked to Flare. "Normally we'd be training together based on our years but since you just joined us in terms of training your basically a first year." Sky explained as he'd like for Flare to be able to catch up first.

"Ok... makes sense." Flare said as he looked to Sky. "So... who are the first years?" Flare asked as he looked around for his supposed group.

"You'll know when the instructor calls for you. It worked for us." Brandon said jumping in as Flare looked around a bit. "We'll see you at break... hopefully." Brandon said as he heard about what Flare did on his first night.

"Yeah..." Flare said as he watched his squad mates leave before looking at the group. "Well this is a new record for me, in trouble before classes even started." Flare said as he looked to the scene around him. "Why do I have a bad feeling about this?" Flare wondered as he looked to the scene before him.

"Flare, fall in!" Another voiced yelled out to Flare. Nearby the trainer instructor was calling him over standing by a group of teens that some of them looked a bit wimpy. Flare guessed some of the first years were the smaller looking group of people in it. Flare then rushed over and join in with the others taking the top corner spot as that was the only one that was open to him, the new instructor said to the group, "Good everyone is present, I'm Instructor Gideon and starting today for the next week I will be your training counselor!"

All first years didn't say a word as they let the man talk while he walk back and forth in front of the group as he said, "I will drill with the necessary discipline into each and every one of you, until you know what you need to be doing, and if I say you're doing something wrong, then you are doing something wrong!"

'Talk about high maintenance,' Flare thought as Gideon suddenly look over at Flare like he knew what he was thinking of, as the man suddenly stops in front of him as he said to Flare, "And I expect every single one of you to follow my instructions, as if not then I will make everyone redo the entire exercise. IF one fail then you all fail, do you understand me?"

"Yes sir!" Everyone but flare said at the same time as Gideon looked down at flare as the man stood a good foot or so above him as he said to the redhead teen, "And that mean to you as well."

"Y-yes sir," Flare said as Gideon backs away as he walk over to the side near flare still and said, "Now let's do some warm up. Everyone drop down and give me 15 push up, and then 15 jumping jacks! 3 sets each, now go!"

Soon enough everyone drop down and started to do their push-ups while Gideon watch everyone closely, including flare as he was instructed to watch flare more so than others due to him breaking the rules before the first day even started.

As everyone was reaching their 15 mark, everyone started to stand up and about to do jumping jack, including flare until Gideon spoken up, "Hold it Flare, you only did 15 push-up."

"Isn't that what you said to do?" Flare asked the man as he said, "Yes I did, but to others, you on the other hand must do double the amount, so drop back down and give me 15 more, and after that give me 30 jumping Jacks, 3 sets each of them, now."

Flare knew he couldn't say anything, as he knew this was his punishment, so he drop back down and did the rest of his push-up while everyone didn't move until Gideon looks at them and said, "Did I say stop?"

After that they started their jumping jacks with flare going as hard and fast as he could with his push-ups soon completing and started his 30 jumping jack with everyone started their 2nd set of push-up.

(Scene break)

Flare was now running on a track as Gideon watch everyone run, he soon said to them, "That the 2nd lap, two more to go until you complete a mile, Flare you got 6 more laps for your two mile run, pick up the pace!"

Flare grit his teeth a bit as he keep pushing himself to get his task done as he try to run ahead of everyone.

(Scene break)

Flare is now seen on the pull-up bars as he was lifting himself on the bar to get his head over it as Gideon said to him, "That 10, 10 more and you can drop down!"

"Is this what everyone goes through if they break the rules?" Flare ask as he struggle to go another 10 pull ups, as Gideon said to him, "Technically you're doing 2nd year warm ups, no different from your squad mates are doing right now."

"Oh great," flare said complaining a bit to this, as with that, Gideon said to him, "And with that, do 5 more pull ups!"

Flare flinch a bit as he thought, 'Maybe I should have keep my mouth shut.'

(Montage)

Flare ran back and forth in a small area to take a cup of water from a bucket filled with water and pour it into another and carefully try not to spill the water either.

Next up, Flare was soon climbing up a rope latter to reach the other side of it as fast as he could, when he soon climb over to the other side, he us the rope latter to climb half way down before leaping off and ran on an obstacle course climbing over logs and swing a cross a pool of mud.

And lastly, Flare was hulling sandbags on a staff and step across small logs that were standing upwards and halfway bury in the ground so they wouldn't move as the sandbags weighted down on flare, it was hard for him to move while keeping balance as he makes his way to the other side.

(Later, end of Montage)

Flare finish morning work outs, as after the warm up, the mile run, pull-up, and basically every known type of exercise and doing it twice over, the other first years were done way before he was and he was missed the first half of breakfast.

Coming up to the mess hall doors while letting his arms hand to the side and his legs were sluggish, he was sore, more than he ever was before as he said, "And I thought the couch in gardenia was tough on students."

Flare reach the doors and open them open to see that meal time were different than the normal human schools has as what he saw… well he could compare it to golden corral at best as it was looking like a huge buffet area, but to due to his lateness and slow walk to the mess hall he saw most of the food was already gone, mostly just straps of food now, as he sighed to this and trap the nearest clean tray he could find and started to gather his breakfast.

(Little later)

Flare has some success finding some food, as he has some toast, some eggs, what looks like apple sauce, and what other scraps of food he could find that was edible, as now he was looking around the mess hall for a seat until Brandon call out saying, "Hey flare over here we saved you a seat!"

See his squad mates, he smile and came on over and sat down across from sky and next to Timmy as he said in an exhausting tone, "Hey guys."

"So how was your first day of training?" sky ask him, as Flare sighed a bit as he said, "I don't know how you guy do it. That guy was worse than my gym coach back on earth, and with my punishment of doing double of everything, I can hardly move my arms or legs."

"You'll get used to it after a while. You just have to keep pushing yourself to do so," Brandon said with Riven speaking up saying, "Or you can drop out, save everyone the headache."

"Riven," Sky said to him as Timmy spoken up saying to Flare, "I'm sure you can do it. You have Potential to be better than you are now, from what I gather from your sword and the books you have taken a lot of energy to use and you seem to have plenty of it."

"Thanks Tim," Flare said as he began to eat his breakfast to get his energy back up as no doubt he will need it for the rest of the day.

"Besides dropping out isn't on my agenda, after all who'd be around to make this jerks life miserable?" Flare asked as he pointed his thumb at Riven getting a laugh from that one. Plus there was the obvious fact he was going to feel that workout come tomorrow morning. So Flare wanted to be ready for it when it hit him... probably with a tub of ice cold water to sooth the pain.

(Scene Break later)

Apparently morning training was almost every morning and thus Flare knew he needed an alarm clock for it. As Flare was sitting through class he saw his classmates were more or less in his age group as the class began. "Hello class and welcome to or in most cases welcome back to Red Tower." The woman up front said as Flare swore she had to be in her 20's or something. Then again with magic involved he wouldn't be surprised if she had a long life span due to it. "As the premier academy that teachers magic as well as skills for our future protectors we pride ourselves in training the best." The woman said as Flare mentally had a wager that she rehearsed this or something.

"Be that my name is Aurora your instructor on one of the more finer arts of spell crafting which is the study of magic from a more... scientific standpoint, called Forge Magic." Aurora said as Flare swore it sounded almost like mage craft from the Fate series mixed in with Full Metal Alchemist. Might be useful to look into if there exists an equivalent to the reality sphere. After all it would be kick ass if Flare can go unlimited blade works on his foes. "Now the first law with Alchemy is when dealing with materials you need to know what you're making down to its base materials you can't make something from nothing after all." Aurora said as she looked to the group giving their first lesson.

"This is a very complex practice of magic and I will not tolerate any reckless behavior for it, one wrong move could see you all in crippled for life, dead, or even worse." Aurora said showing she knew what she was talking about with warning her students.

'Ok good to know.' Flare thought to himself when he heard the warning.

"Now then." She began by waving her hand causing metal needles to appear before them. "Let's start with something simple, by channeling your magic into those needles I want you to turn them into silverware." She ordered and thus the group began to look at the needles and take one needle per person. "Too little magic risks an incomplete transformation to much could cause a rebound the measurements in this MUST be exact." She urged knowing how this could go wrong for the students if they are not careful.

Flare looked at his and began to focus on it with his magic willing it to change shape to what he intended. Some of the other students already figured it out and were already doing it while others were well on their way. Flare kept focusing his magic but the needle would not even shake to transform. "Come on... come on." Flare said as he tried to make something happen. Just then the needle began to shake as Flare began to grin a bit. The needle began to transform with these magical circuits glowing inside it... until they started to increase in energy.

"Um Flare." Tommy began as he notice that the needle shouldn't glow like that. Just then the needle flashed and thus the result was not what anyone expected to happen.

(Outside the classroom)

The Door blew open as smoke came out and everyone cried out in shock from it. The cause of this was an explosion as the result of the event of rebound which was caused by using too much magic for Forge Magic. A few other teachers saw this and grew worried that one of the students may have caused this by accident and that would in fact be the case.

(Back inside the Classroom)

Flare sat there his face covered in sought and his hair all messed up as he sat there in shock over what just happened. Aurora as well as the other students were all shocked by this as Aurora regained her composure over this no doubt seeing this before. "And that class is Rebound and that is one of the less dangerous events that could occur." Aurora said as she coughed a bit as Flare then fell over when his chair broke under him.

(Later during Lunch)

Flare sat in the lunchroom as he and his squad were eating there meals. Flare was seen banging his head on the table after what happened today. "Come on Flare it happens to all of us." Sky said knowing that shit had happened back there.

"Not really." Riven said as he knew that most students are told of such things prior to even attending.

"Not helping." Sky said as Flare was glad Bloom didn't hear about this... yet. "Look Flare it just means you have a high concentration of magical power making it difficult for you to channel it." Sky said as he looked over to, Flare. "Factoring in you never had to use it until recently it's just impressive how much you actually have." Sky said as he sat there while eating their food.

"That's great and all but how can I channel it if there's so much and why is that a thing?" Flare asked to which Timmy had the explanation.

"Well its actually pretty straight forward but complicated as well. See male magic users, such as Magi or Specialists naturally have large stores of magical energy in comparison to our fairy and witch counterparts but the main drawback is that we don't have much control of it. On the reverse side of it the Witches and Fairies have smaller natural reserves but near perfect control of it which is what allows them to transform without needing a focus." Timmy explained as Flare paid attention. "It's why we tend to use things such as dragons, phanto weapons, and air cycles because they can allow us to channel our magic better once we learn how." Timmy said as he looked to Flare who nodded to this.

"So in other words... guys have power but no self-control while girls have self-control but no power." Flare summarized as best he could.

"In a way but it doesn't mean either side is stronger or weaker than the other it just means we have different hurdles to get through." Timmy explained to which Flare understood well enough.

"So different problems have different solutions." Flare summarized with a nod of understanding.

"Pardon me." Came a new voice getting the boys attention. "Flare, was it? The headmaster wants to see you." The man before them said as this got Riven to glare at Flare.

"What did you do this time?" Riven asked as Flare glared back at him.

"Nothing it's barely been a day since my last run in with authority." Flare said as he may get in trouble a lot but not this early between incidents.

"It's true he hasn't done anything as of yet." The man said as this made Flare smirk at Riven. "He said something about showing him something and also something about bringing your sword and book for some reason." The man said and this left Flare confused for a moment.

Thorn then remembered what Saladin had said to him yesterday. "Oh right." Flare said as he then stood up and started to follow the instructor.

(Later at the Headmasters Office)

Flare began to walk into the office where Saladin was waiting for him. "Headmaster Saladin, you wanted to see me?" Flare asked as he opened the door to find Saladin standing next to a man the hero did not recognize. The figure in question stood tall with his brown hair being kept short and wavy yet still connected to a chin goatee. He was lightly clad in armor comprised of just a breast plate and pauldrons as well as an arm guard and a pair of leg guards over his light grey clothing.

"Ah, yes." Saladin began before gesturing to the man with him. "This is Vakuoh. The leader of the Sword of Logos." Saladin introduced as Flare saw the man before him.

"So this is the new Saber?" The man now known as Vakuoh said as he walked over to Flare with and air of intrigue around him. "Seems so young." He commented to which Saladin scoffed a little bit.

"Aren't most of your swordsmen?" Saladin interjected knowing his friend was hardly one to talk.

"Yes unfortunately. But mind you I do not like the idea of sending the youth to fight, though they do show promise." Vakuoh replied as he then turned back to Flare. "So does this one. Can you show me Brave Dragon along with Rekka?" Vakuoh asked to which Flare complied with a nod before he pulled out the two items in question.

The leader of the Swords of Logos leaned in closer to inspect the items in question. "Hmm, they are indeed as you said, Saladin. Tell me boy, when and where did you get it?" Vakuoh asked as he looked to Flare for answers.

"Same thing I said to everyone else I've had the book for as long I can remember." Flare began and in turn Vakuoh began to connect some pieces.

"And you are sixteen, correct?" Vakuoh asked as he began to wonder just who Flare was exactly.

"Um, yes?" Flare replied as he was wondering where he was going with this.

"It couldn't be..." Vakuoh said more to himself as he closed his eyes seemingly deep in thought.

"What?" Flare asked as he tilted his head a bit with curiosity.

"Anton, the Saber before you, lost his life at Domino when the Ancestral Witches attacked." Saladin said as Flare heard this and was curious. "We never found the body fearing it lost under those layers of ice and snow as the planet froze over." Saladin said as Flare was now even more curious.

"What was Anton like anyway?" Flare asked interested in his predecessor's story or at least part of it.

"A glorified hothead, stubborn as a bull; but one of our best." Vakuoh said as he sighed longingly for his lost friend. "He had more compassion for others then he often had rage, he always tried to find a way to pull a win no matter how dire it all seemed and more often than not succeeded, and best part... he was a good drinking buddy." Vakuoh said remembering one time they all got drunk and began singing a tavern shanty.

"I see." Flare began but had another question about the guy. "But what was he doing on Domino anyway?" Flare asked finding it odd that one of their best was at the place during the witches attack. "Was he just nearby or was it something else?" He added wanting answers as to how he died apparently.

"That one is not that hard to answer, Domino was his home." Vakuoh said surprising Flare with this information. "Anton was the younger brother of the Queen of Domino, and even as a member of the Sword of Logos, he remained there as the captain of the royal guard." Vakuoh said as Flare heard this and saw where it was going. "Last few times he visited he was the happiest I've ever seen him he kept saying he had good news that he'd share next time we all went drinking, something about his sister." Vakuoh said and sighed longingly for this. "I just wished he had survived long enough to tell us like he promised." Vakuoh said knowing whatever got his old friend in such a great mood had to have been something worth wild.

"So that means he died defending his home." Flare said as he had to give it to Anton the guy had his respect. "But I still don't know how the sword he once wielded got into my hands though." Flare said as he looked to the SworDriver in his hand wondering just how he even got it.

"Fate is a fickle mistress." Vakuoh chuckled as he tried to make light of this. But he then sighed a bit seeing it as a failed attempt. "Anton could still say that better than the rest of us." He admitted but Flare had an answer to that.

"Well sure as hell better then how I'd do it." Flare said and this in turn brought a smile to Vakuoh's face.

"Hey punk don't make light of an old man remembering his friends." He joked as this got a laugh out of the two. But despite this Vakuoh opted to focus on the here and now. "But be that as it may the fact you have that sword now means Rekka chose you to aid us on the fight against Megiddo and their forces." Vakuoh said as Flare in turn looked curious about this.

"I'm sorry, Magiddo?" Flare asked curious as to what or who they were.

Vakuoh nodded to Flare's question as he had expected it to say the least. "The monster you fought on Earth, is a Mamono made by the organization known as Megiddo." He began as the name left his mouth with venom in it showing an intense hatred for that group. "They are a group who aims to use the Book of Ancients for their own purposes. Thus, making Alter Books in order to 'restore' it." He said to which Flare didn't like the sound of these Alter Books.

"To explain further, the Alter Books are an offshoot of the regular Wonder Books. However the process of making it requires a sacrifice. Dragging areas with people inside to a dimension known as the Wonder World to transform it into the Alter Book from the suffering of those inside." Vakuoh explained and thus Flare went wide eyed remembering the incident from back home with Hound.

"That's what they meant about writing a book..." Flare said as he began to curl his fists into a ball and held a tight grip with them. "How many?" Flare asked through gritted teeth while holding back his temper as best he could.

"During their long campaign, hundreds." Saladin replies solemnly as this left a bitter taste in his mouth. "What's worse is that they still need more to complete their version of the Book of Ancients." Saladin said and thus the two both saw the rage building in Flare.

"Careful there." Vakuoh said as he saw Flare looked reach to go out to hunt down Megiddo himself. "Your anger stemming from the injustice is a good thing to have." He began as he looked over to, Flare seeing many heroes lose themselves to their own justified anger. "But if you're not careful it could also cloud your thoughts and make you reckless... Well more reckless then you already are from what I heard." Vakuoh said adding a little joke there causing Flare to growl a bit. "But just remember you're not the only one who is upset about Megiddo's methods." Vakuoh said as he could tell no one with the Swords of Logos and others who heard of Megiddo were happy with their methods either.

Flare hesitated for a second before he unclenched his fists letting his temper simmer down to dull embers. "Then I will take Rekka to defeat Megiddo." Flare began with a look of determination in his eyes. "No one... no one has the right to take away the loved ones of others! Not on my watch!" He announce and thus brought joy to both men with nostalgia mixed in.

The leader of the Sword of Logos crosses his arm with a grin when he heard Flare "What drive! It's like the old Saber never left!" He announced before giving off a hearty laugh as he may miss his friend but saw his spirit lived on in future generation.

"It's not the only reason I brought you here, young man." Saladin said to Flare seeing as a few things had come to his attention. "It's regarding to last night. Faragonda from Alfea called about you fighting of a violet knight when her students got involved with another, someone who was named Decade, and saved you." Salazin said causing Vakuoh to go wide eyed when he heard Decade's name being dropped.

"Yeah." Flare began as his determination turned into unease. "Did she mention that the Violet Knights name was Caliber?" Flare asked as he looked to the two elders who in turn looked shocked at the name Flare mentioned.

"Caliber?" Vakuoh asked as then looked at Flare in shock. "You fought Caliber and survived?" He asked clearly surprised Flare made it out of that fight at all.

"With Decades help yeah and I even took this from him for my troubles." Flare said as he then took out the Wonder Ride Book he snagged from Caliber titles, Jack and the Beanstalk.

"You actually recovered a Wonder Book from Megiddo?" Vakuoh asked in shock what Flare managed to do.

"I got lucky I grabbed it with Decade's help." Flare admitted as he looked to Vakuoh.

"The mere fact you did it is impressive enough, but to get it from Caliber of all people." Vakuoh said as he was impressed over what Flare did before he chuckled a bit. "I'm starting to like you more and more, kid!" Vakuoh said as he smiled at Flare.

"Is that Caliber guy that big of a deal!?" Flare asked with surprise seeing as he got his ass kicked by caliber before.

Saladin turns his head to the side as if the very subject was taboo. "He was one of us once. Until he betrayed us to join Megiddo. As if he has mimicked the first traitor from so long ago." Saladin said as he clearly was not happy over what Caliber had done and was doing.

"Ease up, old man!" Vakuoh said with a jovially tone. "Keep training this kid, and he could ease our burden by a margin!" He said before turning back to Flare getting the red heads attention.

But Flare still had one more question to ask the group. "So now that I know about Caliber a bit what can you tell me about Decade?" Flare asked wondering who Aeon Riddle or Decade was.

The two shared a look with each as it was clear Decade was something of a mystery even to them. "It's... complicated." Vakuoh said as he sat there trying to find the right words to explain the enigma that was Decade. "He's very... fickle in terms of how he does things. It's anyone's guess what he does or why he does it." Vakuoh said as he looked to, Flare. "In fact a few years ago there was an incident where he and some red Pirate began to eliminate warriors from each other's worlds for some great evil, for a time we actually believed they had turned on their allies." Vakuoh said but Saladin then spoke up.

"Turns out it was a ploy to save their allies by locking them in a sub dimension till just the right moment, so when a group of heroes and a rider were out they summoned those heroes forth and had an army to fight by their side." The old man explained much to Flare's surprise.

"So Decade is an alley or an enemy?" Flare asked and thus Vakouh was the one to answer.

"Oh he's an ally alright don't let the title as 'Destroyer of Worlds,' say otherwise. Sometimes destruction can be just as useful as creation." The man said as he knew that Decade had to destroy a few things that threatened the world in his time. "I'm guessing his help was a onetime deal, I would take heed of that, very rarely does Decade make a warning like that and not mean it." Vakuoh said knowing how Decade can be fickle but honest when needed.

"Got it thanks." Flare said as he sounded nervous but knew Decade had his own thing to do and couldn't be called on every time he needed help.

Vakuoh then looked at his watch and knew it was time to go now. "Well, it was a pleasure meeting you! Looking forward on seeing your progress!" Vakuoh said and thus he began to take his leave.

"It was neat meeting you to, Mr. Vakuoh." Flare said as he tried to hide his nervous tone.

"Drop the mister, please!" The leader of the Sword of Logos said with a grin as he then headed for a bookshelf. The man then proceeded to pull up a Book titled, Book Gate before looking to Flare and Saladin. "Be seeing ya!" He said and in turn he opened the book, causing the bookshelf to turn into a door leading to somewhere as he went right in with said door closing behind him and before disappearing.

"Well he seemed nice." Flare said after a brief moment of silence.

"Ah, well I have known Vakuoh even since the days of my prime." Saladin said with a warm chuckle reminding Flare he was still and old man. "Anyway I believe it is time for you to head back. I'll call you when I need you." Saladin said and thus Flare agreed it was time to go.

"See you around headmaster." Flare responded before he left the office but before he could Saladin had a few more words to share feeling Flare was not told of it.

"Oh. And one more thing." Saladin said as he stopped Flare from leaving. "Alfea is holding a gala tomorrow night at their school and the students of Red Fountain gather there as per tradition to a new session for the year." Saladin told Flare to which he was left surprised by this information. "Perhaps you could use this opportunity to get ready for it." Saladin said and thus Flare was wide eyed at this.

"And no one has told me about it!?" Flare asked as he knew he had to hurry to get ready.

"Better hurry off now." The headmaster simply replied with a small chuckle at Flare's reaction.

"Y-yes sir!" Flare said before the hero then run out the door to get ready for this event.

(Scene Break Earth Bookstore)

Meanwhile on Earth, a girl with light green hair was on her break after restocking the shelves at the bookstore she worked at. As she relaxed a bit she suddenly received a call on her phone. In turn she then picked up her phone and answered it wondering who it was. "Hello?" She asked while she held the phone to her ear.

"Hey Selina!" Flare was heard making the girl go wide eyed to this.

"Flare!?" Selina asked as she recognized the voice of the town's biggest headache. "Well, you have some nerve calling me after leaving without saying a word." She said sounding like she was scolding him.

"Sorry." Flare apologized with a chuckle from the other end. "Things has gotten a little crazy in a past days and it went by so fast." He explained for his reason of not contacting her. "So how are you doing?" Flare asked as he was curious to hear from Selina.

"Nothing much aside the extra workload since you left for... your parents said it was boarding school like Bloom?" Selina asked one of her childhood friends.

"Again, sorry for that!" Flare apologized as he knew how Selina can be at times. "And well it's more like boot camp where I ended up." Flare said knowing Selina would get a kick of this.

"Oh, so your parents finally decided to have you straighten up?" Selina asked clearly joking with flare giving her own sarcastic remarks to her friend. "Perfect timing." she added no doubt Flare may have already devised a few schemes to bust out if that was true.

"Well, does the thought of me going through hellish training has put at some sort a smile on your face?" Flare retaliated with his own joke.

"A little." Selina responded with a few giggles from her own end.

"Yeesh, you're cold." Flare said as he clearly was pretending to be offended by that.

"Well, someone has to cool you down, you hothead." Selina retaliated as she leaned back in her seat with a smile on her face.

"Look um... maybe when I get back for the holidays, I'll come over to visit you! How does that sound?" Flare said as he clearly wanted to catch up with her. "I can still call in when I have the time! Is that ok?" Flare asked as Selina then laughed a bit.

"Sure. I would love to hear your obnoxious voice every so often." Selina said with a laugh as she smiled to, Flare.

"Kidding aside, it is nice talking to a friend when I am far from home." Flare said with a sigh once the laughter died down. "Especially with the things happening around at my end." Flare said before he remembered something. "Oh! Now that I'm thinking about it, I didn't call mom and dad yet! Gotta hang up now, call you later!" Flare said and thus he hung up.

Then all Selina heard was the dial tone. "Yeah. It is nice talking to a friend." She said with a somewhat sad tone in her voice.

(Back with Flare)

Flare was in his dorm as he had his phone out after getting off the phone with Selina. But before he could dial the phone to his parents Brandon showed up and tapped on Flare's shoulder. "Have someone back home?" Brandon asked as he smirked to, Flare.

"What are you talking about?" Flare asked at his senior with slight confusion. "Just calling an old friend to see how she's doing." Flare defended as he looked to Brandon. "I was about to call my parents next. I mean, haven't you?" Flare asked as he looked to Brandon who began to laugh nervously.

"Um! Well, I have a... complicated relationship with my folks back home." Brandon said as he scratched the back of his head. "I don't want to make things awkward." He admitted but Flare wasn't too convinced on this.

"Couldn't hurt to just call them once in a while." Flare said knowing that despite how annoying or embarrassing his parents were they still loved him. "Which reminds me what's up with the gala thing and why just the students of Red Fountain are going there?" Flare asked as he heard it was only going to be Red Fountain going.

Brandon shrugged as he wasn't too sure about it. "It's a school tradition thing, I guess. That and it would be for all schools on Magix, but..." Brandon trailed off trying to find the right words to explain it.

"But?" Flare asked curious as to what the problem could be.

"There's Cloud Tower that mentors witches and they aren't entirely fond of fairies." Brandon explained to which Flare was curious now.

"Which remind me what's up with the stuff between witches and fairy anyways?" Flare asked as he wonder what is up with the two as Brandon give it some thought as he said, "Well Pretty much it comes down to their way of using magic. As Fairy use magic its light magic being good and well behave, while witches magic is dark magic using it to do bad things and all sort of things."

"So wait, if a fairy suddenly use their magic to do bad things as well, what then?" Flare asked as Brandon said, "Well then a fairy would become a witch, and I suppose if a witch do good things, they become a fairy."

"So between a fairy and a witch is how they use their magic? Man it just sound like something out of star wars," Flare said as Brandon ask, "What's star wars?"

"It's a movie series dealing with adventures in space with two sides fighting each other, with one battle has been going on for thousands of year between a two group of people that uses the power of the force… and before you ask the force is what I guess you can say that the equivalent to magic in the movie," Flare said as Brandon nodded as he understand that with flare went on saying as he said, "And pretty much there is a light and dark side to the force, as those who uses the light side are consider Jedi, and those using the dark side are consider Sith."

"Those are interesting title and quite fitting," Brandon said as he thinking Jedi sound like a very noble warrior of some sort while Sith sound like an evil warrior, as flare nodded as he said to the blonde, "I know, but how you would look at it, it all comes down to it with Jedi and Sith, or in this case Fairies and witches, they pretty much uses the same source of power as fair I can tell, magic is magic right?"

"Pretty much, yes, and I haven't thought of it that way either. You are very wise to say," Brandon as Flare shrugged as he said, "Well I guess one of the quirks of growing up on earth, we see things from a different perspective."

"I'll try to keep that in mind then," Brandon said as Flare said to him, "Anyways I better call my parents as well now and tell them how I'm doing, and what's been going… minus of what happen last night, and get prepared for this Gala thing."

"Very well, but before you do I want to ask you something real quick," Brandon said as Flare looks at him and said, "What is it?"

"By chance, is your sister Bloom seeing anyone perhaps?" Brandon ask with Flare glare at him and said in a snap, "Really?!"

"I'm sorry did I say something offensive?" Brandon ask as he was surprise by Flare reaction to his question as Flare said to him, "In a way yes, your just broke one of the rules of the Bro-code, as one guy must not ask another guy if their sister or mother are single! Unless they are step-sibling or an in-law then it's okay, but never a blood relative."

"Oh, I apologize. I guess I'm not that well verse in earth's culture. Please forgive me," Brandon said as he bow his head a bit as Flare look at the guy as he sighed and rub the back of his head, as the guy did come from a different world and doesn't know earth's stuff like the Bro-code, as he thought he will give him a pass on that as he said, "Its fine… and to answer your question, Bloom isn't seeing anyone… but don't tell her I said that alright."

Brandon was surprise by this as he give a smile and raise his hand and said, "I swear by my honor, will not say a word about this too her."

"Good, as last thing I want is my sister yelling at my for any reason that dealing with her love life," Flare said as he had enough of that during the time when she had a boyfriend before but separated as thing wasn't going well between them anyways, and it was bad enough when she does the same between him and Selina when they weren't really dating, they were just friends… real close friends that spare many of the same interest.

Flare just shakes his head of those thoughts as he said, "Anyways can I get some privacy please?"

"Sure, and I'll see you later," Brandon said as Flare nodded and soon he look to his phone and call up his parents, as he hope Bloom didn't say a word to them about last night.

(The Trix)

Many witches came out of the auditorium with their head mistress giving every witch a task to come up with a scheme to ruin the Gala with the everyone witch or a group of witches come up with the most horrible thing to do against the fairy during the Gala, with the Trix pitch their idea to her, she approved it giving them permission to go along with it, unaware of their true ambitions of what they were planning on doing.

With the Trix went to the side of the halls to talk in private stormy said, "I still don't know why we're doing this? Just to ruin a ball?"

"It's more than that Stormy, if you are forgetting, we're trying to steal that scepter from that Blonde fairy to gain greater power for ourselves," Icy said as Darcy spoken up saying, "But you know those magi from Red Fountain will be attending as well, and no doubt that boy with the flaming sword will be there too. Caliber won't be with us during this."

"I know, which is why I made sure to plan ahead for such an occasion as this," Icy said as she pull out a black chain book, being an Alter Ride Books as she shown the backside of it without showing what the front looks like or reads, as the two witches were surprise by this, as Stormy looks at her and said, "Where did you get that?"

"A benefactor of ours had left us a gift after I told them we were planning on getting some revenge against those fairies and that sword boy after last night. Guess they're being generous as they didn't leave any of those plain book things with it," Icy said as unaware someone was hiding in the shadows with a blank book in their hands as well a blue book of sort, as they give a smile as it seem there was more to Megiddo own schemes than they let on themselves, with the three witches soon left with Icy said, "Once we get everything set up, as well set off, we'll release the creature to cause more havoc to give us more than enough time and chance to find and grab that scepter, they will not even known what hit them."

It was clear that the Trix had something nasty in sure for the heroes. And whatever it was it was not going to be to anyone's benefit save their own. But despite being the unwitting pawn in a greater scheme did not make the Trix any less of a threat. Can the heroes of this tale be victorious? Well only time will reveal the answer to this important question. But unaware to them another hero was preparing their own roll in this tale of magic, Knights, and fairies.

(Meanwhile with Aeon)

Aeon was standing outside the boundary of Alfea as he saw the girls setting up for the Ball. "Sorry I had to drag you away from your date with Will my friend." Aeon said as he looked to an unknown figure behind him. "But they can use the help and your one of the only few magic bearing Riders other than Kiva and Hibiki." Aeon said to which the figure nodded in understanding. "So do you know what to do Richard?" Aeon asked as he turned around to see a figure familiar to him.

"Yeah." Richard said as the blond haired young man look to the school. "Just have to keep an eye out for them if they need my help jump in to do so." Richard said as Aeon smirked.

"Good glad I came to you." Aeon said as Richard then smiled and turned torts his friend.

"Well…" He began before lifting his left hand up revealing a ruby ring. "I am the Jewel of Hope after all." He said and soon the ring flashed to life.

"FLAME PLEASE!"

When that phrase came out Richard was gone and in his place was none other than Kamen Rider Wizard. Or as some of the people from his home town tend to call him and the Guardians of Veil the shining Jewel of Hope.

ESKK: Well here we go the chapters end. Now then this chapter was a bit longer but due to both size and my assumed attention span of my readers I had to cut it short. Now then remember to leave a review for me and until we next meet Ja-Ne.
