System: The True Gamer*
First, I will explain the system as clearly as possible and then provide you with a story you can use or modify as you wish.
How does Jaune obtain the system?* You can simply give the system to Jaune. As the creator, you have the power to provide this system to him for entertainment. The system indicates that the author has given Jaune this system to help him, encouraging him to use it wisely and have fun.
How does the True Gamer system work?* This system is different from other gaming systems. It allows Jaune to play games that you love, such as Warframe, Fallout, Skyrim, Dark Souls, and many others while earning rewards that make him stronger and smarter.
How to use the system* The system will send Jaune to a pocket space where time stops. This way, when he returns, no time has passed. It will then explain the levels. These levels are 1, 2, 3, and 4, and it will also detail the difficulties: easy, normal, hard, and death, along with the rewards for completing different games.
How do levels work?* The levels represent the types of games he can play:
- *Level 1* Simple games like farming, cooking, or decoration games.
- *Level 2* Fighting games or something similar to Call of Duty: Black Ops.
- *Level 3* Games with advanced technology like Fallout or Halo.
- *Level 4* Games that involve power, like magic or chakra, such as Skyrim or Dark Souls.
Now, let's discuss difficulty and rewards.*
How does difficulty work?* The difficulty levels represent the rewards and how one can play the games. For example:
- *Easy* In this difficulty, you are allowed to use anything in the game that you win, and you have full body mobility.
- *Normal* Similar to easy, but you can only bring two different powers or weapons.
- *Hard* You cannot bring anything you won, but you can use your full body mobility. If a game doesn't allow you to swim or you die, you won't actually die in hard mode.
- *Death* This follows the game's rules strictly, so no swimming, and if you die in the game, it's a permanent death.
For rewards, I will use Ark: Survival Evolved as an example*
- *Easy* If you beat Ark on easy, you can only get one full stat boost, such as carry weight.
- *Normal* If you beat Ark on normal, you can obtain any one of your dinosaurs—only one.
- *Hard* If you beat Ark on hard, you can obtain all the dinosaurs you tame or all your stats.
- *Death* If you beat Ark on death difficulty, you can get all the rewards from above, as well as the entire Ark itself with all the items you collected. The reason for such a huge rewards spike is that your life is in danger.
There is also a *Level 5, but to unlock it, you need to win four death-difficulty games that are level 4. Level 5 primarily consists of mods you can add to games.
This should clarify how the system works. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
The story* You can choose to set this storyline two years before the canon event or start it when Jaune goes to Beacon Academy.
In this storyline, the two gods were not the first gods to create the world; there were two before them. These two created a realm known as Ever After. However, they also made creatures similar to Grimm that could corrupt things. When they left Ever After, they inadvertently left these creatures behind, and they began to corrupt the tree and everything around them, slowly growing too powerful for the gods to handle. Realizing it was too late to stop them, the two gods decided to seal away the Ever After by sacrificing their life force. With the remaining life force, they created another Ever After, which we now know as the realm that created the two gods.
From here, you can develop the plot around the seal breaking, with weak creatures emerging into Remnant and causing chaos.
1. *First Idea*You can depict the two gods sensing a dark and evil presence that they did not create. Concerned, they decide to investigate, discovering that this threat is worse than they thought. They then choose to return to Remnant, bestowing magic back to the inhabitants to prepare for the impending battle, along with an RPG-like system that allows everyone to grow faster.
2. *"Second Idea* Alternatively, you can portray a scenario where Jaune arrives at Beacon Academy and Glynda Goodwitch discovers he is using a fake transcript. She decides to check everyone else's credentials and eventually encounters Blake. After her findings, she chooses to expel them and considers calling the police but decides not to. After being kicked out, Jaune asks Blake if she has a place to stay; when she says no, he invites her to stay with him. She contemplates the offer and agrees, knowing he is weak and she could easily overpower him if needed. This can be developed into a romantic storyline or simply a friendship as Jaune journeys to utilize the system.
3. *Third Idea* You could introduce a member of the White Fang or perhaps a random faunus who harbors a deep hatred for the Arc family and decides to kidnap one of their children, targeting Jaune first. As he fears the possible retribution from the Arc family, he attracts Grimm to his location and is eventually killed by them. However, Salem is observing this and, recalling her own lost children, intervenes to prevent the Grimm from killing Jaune. She orders the Grimm to bring him to her and adopts Jaune as her own. Within this context, you can decide when Jaune's system awakens. Some ideas could include Jaune awakening the system when Salem is attacked by one of the dark creatures, driven by a desire to protect his new mother and grow stronger. Although Salem defeats the creature, it remains one of the weaker ones.
Note* If there is anything in this story idea you do not understand, please leave a comment so I can clarify. If you choose to pick up on any of these ideas, let me know in the comments as well—I would love to read the story you create.
Commission Note* I appreciate offers, but at this time, I am not interested. Perhaps in the future. For now, I'm doing this for fun.
