Goku's Arrival
Krillin quickly rushed over to Goku, waving his arms in an attempt to explain the chaotic situation. "Goku, wait! Let me explain! There's so much—"
But before Krillin could finish, Goku casually placed his palm on Krillin's head. "Don't worry, Krillin. I'll just read your mind," Goku said with a reassuring smile.
"Wait—what?! Since when can you do that?!" Krillin shouted, his arms flailing in shock. The comical expression of pure disbelief on his face made the tense moment feel oddly lighter.
Goku closed his eyes, concentrating. "Oh, okay, I see now. So Vegeta and this kid, Cado, are helping us fight the Ginyu Force. Got it!" he said, removing his hand.
Krillin staggered back, still processing what had just happened. "Seriously, when did you learn to do that?! You've been gone for, like, a few months, and now you're reading minds?! What's next, Goku? Are you gonna start teleporting?"
Goku chuckled lightly, scratching the back of his head. "Maybe someday, Krillin!" Then, turning his attention to Vegeta, he pulled a senzu bean from his pouch. "Here, Vegeta! Catch!"
The Saiyan prince snatched the bean out of the air, his eyes narrowing in suspicion. "What's the catch, Kakarot?" he asked, glaring at Goku.
"There's no catch," Goku replied with a grin. "We're on the same side right now, so I'm just making sure we're all in fighting shape."
Vegeta hesitated for a moment before popping the bean into his mouth. Almost instantly, his injuries vanished, and his energy surged back to its peak. He clenched his fists, testing his restored strength, and smirked. "Hmph. At least you're not completely useless, Kakarot."
Krillin sighed in relief while Gohan, now fully healed, stood beside his father, ready for the next phase of the fight. Meanwhile, Cado glanced at the exchange with renewed hope. Despite the chaos and destruction surrounding them, it was clear that with Goku on their side, the tide of the battle was about to change.
Goku held up a hand as the tension built around the battlefield. "Alright, everyone, calm down," he said in his usual easygoing tone. "Let me handle these guys."
Recoome let out a boisterous laugh, placing his hands on his hips. "Oh, really? You're gonna handle me, little man? This oughta be good!" Turning to Jeice, he smirked. "Hey, Jeice, what's his power level?"
Jeice tapped his scouter, which beeped a few times before displaying the number. "Ha! It's 5,000!" Jeice called out. "That's it! Not even worth worrying about!"
Burter chimed in, grinning. "Are you kidding me? A power level that low? This guy's toast!"
The Ginyu Force began mocking Goku, laughing hysterically and pointing at him as he continued to walk toward Recoome without a hint of concern.
Meanwhile, Vegeta and Cado stood off to the side, observing the scene closely. Vegeta's eyes narrowed as he watched Goku's calm demeanor and subtle aura. Something felt off.
"Father," Cado said, glancing at Vegeta. "Do you think Kakarot is... the warrior of legend? A Super Saiyan?"
Vegeta's expression shifted to one of irritation, and he scoffed loudly. "Ridiculous!" he snapped. "That's impossible for a low-class warrior like Kakarot! The Super Saiyan is a warrior of legend, the mightiest of Saiyans! Someone like him could never reach that level!"
Cado frowned, glancing back at Goku. "I don't know... He feels different."
Vegeta growled, his pride stinging at the very idea. "The Super Saiyan is meant for someone like me—a Saiyan elite! Don't even think for a second that Kakarot could be the one."
As Vegeta spoke, Goku stopped a few feet from Recoome, his serene smile unchanged. His relaxed demeanor unnerved Vegeta even further, though he refused to admit it.
Recoome cracked his knuckles, his mocking grin widening. "Alright, let's see what you got, tough guy!"
But as Goku tilted his head slightly, the air around him seemed to shift. The ground trembled faintly, and a quiet but palpable pressure began to emanate from him, causing both Vegeta and Cado's eyes to widen slightly.
"Maybe I was wrong about Kakarot," Cado thought to himself, a flicker of excitement in his eyes.
Vegeta, meanwhile, clenched his fists tightly. "No... No way... That clown could never surpass me!"
Recoome, with his usual overconfidence, dashed toward Goku in a blur, attempting his signature Mach Attack. His massive frame barreled forward, the ground quaking beneath him. Goku stood motionless, calm, and composed, waiting until the very last second. Just as Recoome was about to collide with him, Goku vanished, leaving the brute striking empty air.
Recoome skidded to a halt, confused, looking around for his target. "What the...?! Where'd he go?!"
Jeice and Burter, standing a safe distance away, were equally baffled. "Oi, where'd the little guy go?!" Jeice exclaimed, frantically scanning the battlefield.
Only Vegeta, his keen Saiyan eyes sharper than the others', had tracked Goku's movements. He watched as Goku reappeared in an instant, standing casually right next to Jeice and Burter.
"W-What?!" Burter stammered, taking a step back.
"Listen," Goku said in a calm but firm tone, addressing the two aliens. "If I were you, I'd retreat now while you still can. Things don't have to get worse for you."
Jeice and Burter stared at Goku, their expressions a mix of shock and disbelief. Before either could muster a reply, Goku vanished again, leaving only a faint gust of wind in his wake.
Recoome, now thoroughly irritated, let out a growl as he spotted Goku casually standing right in front of him again. "You think you're so fast, huh?! I'll show you! I'm gonna send you straight to the next world!"
Recoome began striking ridiculous poses, his voice booming as he powered up his signature move. "You're about to witness my ultimate technique—the Recoome Ultra Fighting Bomber!"
As he shouted, "Bomber!" and prepared to unleash his attack, Goku decided he had seen enough. In a flash, Goku blitzed toward Recoome, moving so fast that even Vegeta barely caught the motion.
Recoome's eyes widened as Goku appeared right in front of him, his body already mid-motion for the strike. "Wha—?!" was all Recoome managed to say before Goku delivered a devastating elbow strike to his midsection.
The force of the blow was monstrous. The impact echoed across the battlefield as Recoome's massive frame bent unnaturally, air forced from his lungs. His body crumpled as he fell forward, face planting into the dirt, unconscious.
Recoome lay face down but with his rear comically sticking up in the air, completely out for the count.
Burter and Jeice stood frozen in disbelief, their jaws hanging open. Vegeta's eyes widened momentarily before narrowing, his pride boiling beneath the surface.
Cado, standing beside his father, stared at Goku with a mixture of awe and curiosity. "Unbelievable..." he muttered under his breath.
Goku, unfazed, simply turned toward the remaining members of the Ginyu Force, his expression still calm but serious. "Alright, who's next?"
Burter and Jeice, staring at their downed comrade, chalked up Recoome's humiliating defeat to him letting his guard down. Refusing to acknowledge the real threat Goku posed, they prepared to attack. The two dashed at him simultaneously, positioning themselves on opposite sides of the calm Saiyan. Burter, towering over Goku but visibly winded from his earlier bout with Cado, gave a cocky smirk, while Jeice wasted no time mocking Goku.
"You really think you can—" Jeice began, but before he could finish his sentence, Goku punched him square in the face.
The blow was so quick and clean that Jeice didn't even see it coming. His nose cracked audibly, blood spurting out as he staggered backward. "Y-You bastard!" Jeice growled, clutching his face in pain.
Goku shook his head in disappointment. "You guys leave yourselves wide open. Honestly, how did you make it this far?" he mocked, his tone lighthearted but cutting.
Burter's blue skin darkened with anger, and Jeice seethed at the insult. The two charged again, attacking in unison. Their punches and kicks flew at Goku with impressive speed, but Goku stopped both of their strikes with ease—his movements precise, calm, and efficient.
Before Jeice could recover, Goku drove his knee into Jeice's gut, sending the red alien hurtling away. Burter retaliated with a heavy downward strike, but Goku countered with a sweep kick. Burter managed to leap back just in time, avoiding the attack.
Goku, without hesitation, unleashed a ki shout. The sudden explosion of energy erupted from him in a shockwave, sending both Burter and Jeice flying backward like ragdolls. The force of the blast left them dazed and sprawled on the ground.
Cado, still observing from a distance, couldn't hide his amazement. "They can't even lay a finger on Kakarot... They're finished!" he said, breaking into laughter.
But his laughter quickly turned into a pained groan as he clutched his gut, doubling over. This immediately alarmed Krillin and Gohan, who rushed to his side.
"Hey, are you okay?" Gohan asked, his voice full of concern.
Cado coughed and winced, waving off their panic. "Ahh, it hurts to laugh," he muttered through gritted teeth.
Krillin knelt beside him, studying his condition. "Wow, that Burter guy really did a number on you. Are you sure you're alright?" Then he added with a sheepish grin, "Oh, and uh... my name's Krillin, by the way. I don't think we ever got to properly introduce ourselves. Haha!"
Cado gave a tired nod. "Cado," he replied simply, before looking directly at Krillin. "Do you have another one of those beans?"
Krillin shook his head apologetically. "Sorry, Vegeta got the last one."
Cado cursed under his breath. "Shit," he muttered, leaning back as he tried to steady his breathing.
"Why are you okay?" Krillin asked, his voice laced with concern.
Cado nodded weakly. "Yeah, I'll be fine. I just need a break," he replied, still clutching his side.
Krillin nodded back, satisfied with the answer for now, and both turned their attention back to the fight.
Jeice and Burter, meanwhile, were clearly shaken. Jeice shouted in frustration, "What the hell is going on?! His battle power is only 5,000! He shouldn't be able to do this to us!"
Burter gritted his teeth, his pride as the self-proclaimed fastest in the universe boiling over. "Then we'll take him out together. You throw your Crusher Ball, and when that coward dodges, I'll rush in and finish him off!"
Jeice agreed and quickly formed the glowing purple orb of energy in his palm. With a shout, he hurled it at Goku, fully expecting him to evade. But Goku didn't dodge. Instead, he slapped the Crusher Ball away with casual ease, redirecting it toward Burter.
The blue alien dodged the incoming attack effortlessly but lost sight of Goku in the process.
"He's behind you!" Jeice shouted in a panic.
Burter whirled around just in time to see Goku calmly hovering behind him, arms crossed and completely unbothered.
This pushed Burter over the edge. "HOW IS A FILTHY SAIYAN THIS FAST?! I AM THE FASTEST IN THE UNIVERSE!" he roared in fury.
From the sidelines, Cado couldn't resist muttering, "You're not that fast," loud enough for everyone to hear.
Burter glared in his direction but didn't have time to respond as Goku finally spoke. "It's simple, really. I trained in 100 times Earth's gravity," he said casually.
The revelation caused both Vegeta and Cado to tense up in shock. Vegeta's mind raced. He trained in 100 times gravity? No wonder Kakarot's power has skyrocketed!
Burter, however, became even more enraged. "Speed alone won't win you this fight!" he shouted and launched himself at Goku, unleashing a relentless barrage of kicks and punches. His movements were fast, but Goku effortlessly dodged each attack with precision, almost as if he were toying with him.
Jeice jumped into the fray, attacking alongside Burter, but their combined efforts still failed to land a single blow. Goku weaved through their strikes like water flowing around rocks, his calm expression never faltering.
Deciding it was time to end the fight, Goku suddenly went on the offensive. With lightning speed, he kicked Burter away, sending him spiraling through the air. Before Burter could recover, Goku appeared behind him, delivering a powerful elbow to the top of his head.
Burter plummeted toward the ground, dazed and unable to regain control. But Goku wasn't done. He flew to the ground faster than Burter could fall, catching the blue alien with one hand just before he hit the ground.
Holding Burter like a sack of potatoes, Goku glanced up at Jeice, his gaze calm yet intimidating. Then, with a casual flick of his wrist, he threw Burter to the ground with tremendous force, creating a crater beneath the unconscious alien.
Goku stood over Burter's motionless body, his calm yet commanding presence radiating across the battlefield. He raised his voice, loud enough for Jeice to hear, "Hey! Quit this meaningless fight. All of your friends are alive. Grab them and leave this planet."
Jeice, still hovering in the air, was visibly trembling, sweat dripping down his forehead. He couldn't believe what had just happened. One man defeated Recoome and Burter like they were nothing! This… this isn't possible!
From the sidelines, Vegeta sneered and stepped forward, his arms crossed and his voice filled with disdain. "What are you doing, Kakarot?! Finish them off! Kill them while you still can!"
Goku turned to Vegeta, his expression resolute. "There's no need, Vegeta. They're already beaten. This fight is over."
Vegeta scowled. "You're a fool, Kakarot! Letting them live will only come back to bite us later! You Saiyan clown, always softhearted!"
Cado, still holding his aching ribs, had a confused look on his face. He turned to Goku and asked, "Why not finish them off? Isn't that what warriors do? End the fight completely?"
Goku glanced at the young Saiyan and replied calmly, "There's no honor in killing someone who can't fight back. They've lost. That's enough."
Jeice, paralyzed with fear and disbelief, realized he was out of options. His eyes darted between Goku and his fallen comrades, and his survival instincts kicked in. Without another word, he turned tail and flew off at full speed, heading straight for Captain Ginyu.
As Jeice disappeared into the distance, Krillin, Gohan, Vegeta, and Cado approached Goku. Krillin, his face filled with disbelief, cautiously asked, "Is that really you, Goku? I mean… what the heck happened to you? You're way stronger than before!"
Before Goku could answer, Vegeta's face twisted into a vicious snarl. Without warning, he leaped into the air and came crashing down onto Burter's unconscious body with a devastating knee drop. The sound of bones breaking echoed through the battlefield as Burter's lifeless body went limp.
"Vegeta, what are you doing?!" Krillin shouted in horror.
Ignoring the outcry, Vegeta stood up and extended one hand toward Recoome's prone form. "Weaklings like this don't deserve mercy!" With a flash of energy, he unleashed a powerful one-handed beam, vaporizing Recoome on the spot.
Krillin flinched at the brutality, while Gohan's fists clenched in anger. "That was unnecessary, Vegeta!" Gohan yelled.
Vegeta smirked and crossed his arms, staring at Goku. "This is why you'll never truly be a warrior, Kakarot. Mercy is a weakness. You should remember that."
Goku's expression darkened for a moment as he looked at Vegeta. "You didn't have to do that, Vegeta. They were no longer a threat."
Vegeta scoffed and turned his back to Goku. "Spare me your lecture, Kakarot. I'll do what I must to survive. And that means eliminating anyone who gets in my way."
Cado, watching the scene unfold, kept silent but couldn't hide the conflict in his expression. Though he didn't entirely disagree with Vegeta's ruthlessness, part of him wondered if his father's approach was the best way to get stronger Still, Goku's words and actions lingered in his mind, planting seeds of doubt about how things had to be.
Goku turned back to his friends, letting out a sigh. "Alright, let's focus on what's ahead. We're not done yet." His gaze shifted in the direction Jeice had flown, his expression hardening. "I've got a feeling this Captain Ginyu guy isn't going to back down as easily."
