Hey everyone, so who saw the first two episodes of season 4 of Young Justice, I ain't going to spoil anything but so far it seems good. I love M'gann's new look, I liked the short hair but a woman with beautiful long hair in my opinion just does it differently for me.
Also, I had a question for you guys, it is said in season 4 that white and green Martians don't have any genetic differences but have just different skin colors. I am planning on Ben getting Martian DNA in the future but do you all think he would get both, I don't think so. To put it in comparison it would be like if Ben could turn into a human with a different color of skin. Plus there isn't a use for two Martian DNA in the Omnitrix. But what do you guys think?

DemDazer: I actually agree with a lot of your points. And the part where you said now you were writing, GOOD! That is exactly why I started as well. So many copies and pastes, it just wasn't good... And this story WILL NOT be a copy and paste! I tried with the not explaining part and people were saying it was confusing with the missing parts. I mean it's clear that the scenes I was writing were from the show but from missing parts, it just somehow confused people. I didn't want that to really happen which is why I did it. Now that we're done with the main cast ep's like I said there will be ep's that follow the main storyline but there are going to be a lot more chapters where it's completely different. Like Cheshire now captured and Ben seeing Artemis' reaction, things will change and the overall success will improve, however, you also don't want it to come off as one of those fanfics where the mc has god-like abilities and makes everything that was in the show seem like nothing. Thanks for telling me about that story, by the way, Ben 10: Heroic Frontier, I think I'll check that out.

The purple warping bubble around Eon was something he was very familiar with.
It was a bubble outside of time, space, and the very universe he existed in.
If one were to think of time and space, the universe, as a trunk and tree then he and his large, looming, octopus-like companion, were outside of the tree.
Eon stared at the blank nothingness that surrounded them, closing his eyes trying to concentrate, only to sigh.
Vilgax grits his teeth fiercely. "What is taking so long!? You said we were going to kill Tennyson! Yet we've been trapped in this bubble for over an hour!"
Eon looked back at his companion and scoffed while rolling his eyes. As if he could even comprehend what he was trying to do. Eon almost felt like not explaining it at all but knowing the squid-faced alien behind him, he would surely suffer more for not sharing.
"I thought you could move through dimensions easily?" Vilgax questioned once more. He was not known for his patience, if it were anyone else he would have disintegrated them in the first ten minutes, but Eon was promising the destruction of his mortal enemy.
He has spent years trying to steal his Omnitrix, only to end up with nothing but damaged organs and body parts that needed to be replaced with cybernetics. Vilgax's recent endeavor was stealing the Dagon's power and trying to destroy the shapeshifting teen with said power, it didn't work of course and he lost.
The kid didn't think of the temptation of using the power of the Ultimatrix, Dagon's power, and the sword. This had happened over a month ago and he had heard the boy had gained a new Omnitrix since then.
"Dimensions/universes yes. But thinking of it as time and space as a trunk and tree, we also have to think of the Omniverse, which would equate to a forest of trees, an infinite amount. It will be hard to find Tennyson without some guide." Eon then smirked, pulling out a briefcase from behind him and opening it up for there to be two large red eggs.
Vilgax widened his eyes and took a step back. "Are those what I think they are?"
"Yes, just something I picked up from my last job for Maltruant."
Again Vilgax's eyes went wide. "The Chronosapien?!"
Eon looked to Vilgax with confusion. For him to get the time beast he went months later into the future when Ben got his new partner and the time war was just beginning. The time war wasn't common knowledge to anyone and the dark Chronosapien was even less known.
He wondered how Vilagax knew him for a split second before he shook off the internal question and gazed at the eggs in wonder.
"Yes, the exact same. After the time war ended I was able to snatch two more of these eggs."
"How will those things help in our situation?"
"Simple, the time beasts will find Ben Tennyson, all we need to do is wait. And after that let the 'Sotobro Effect' do its thing."
Picking up both eggs and dropping the case with a loud 'thud' Eon expelled some of his time energy into the eggs and both villains watched and marveled at the birthing and growing process of the time beasts.
They both stopped growing suddenly, looming over the two beings, they seem to have very weird body structures. Having the head of a dog, with a rotund chest, moderately-sized tail, and paw-like front feet. Their back legs were smaller and thinner than the front, and revealed hairless, maroon-skinned feet below the second leg joint.
They had two tan ram horns on their head, accompanying their goat-like eyes, a set of jagged teeth that do not necessarily correspond with one another appearance-wise, and long tongues that hang from their mouths. They also had black armor on them with their spine having red crystals sticking out of it.
"Find Ben Tennyson!" Eon orders and the two beasts complained and ran off into the edge of the bubble before tearing apart the very existence in front of them, making a large gaping hole in the bubble before it was immediately patched back up.
The two exchanged looks, with Eon having the smuggest grin the alien has ever seen, on his face. "Now we wait."
Mount Justice

It had been a day since the Team had gone up against Cheshire and her fellow shadow. She was now locked up with the cops and League interrogating her for information.
She wouldn't give it to them which was expected, but they still had no idea who is really behind what happened, was it just the Shadows, or something more.
Either way that wasn't what was on Ben's mind right now. The Team was enjoying a nice party they had thrown to celebrate their success on a well-done mission. Superboy was of course moody as always but seemed to start opening up a bit more, Aqualad and Robin were shaking their heads at Wally's poor attempts to flirt with M'gann, which they all had a good laugh at.
Wally and Artemis seemed to be getting along, when they weren't near or looking at each other, but Ben spent most of his time thinking. He was slightly good at multitasking to the point where he enjoyed the party, but he was thinking over the battle he had with Cheshire, specifically when Brainstorm hit her mask off, then with Artemis' sudden reaction to the girl under the mask.
Brainstorm, being the prime of his specious and at the same age as Ben, could very much be smarter than some Glavin. The fight wasn't about what Ben might use to win, Brainstorm also calculated her skills, the way she held herself, the way she moved. All Brainstorm took into consideration and when he blasted her mask off, Brainstorm started to take in every single thing about her he could see.
Right down to the very last pore on her face Brainstorm took into consideration. With that, he also concluded that there was a resemblance between her and Artemis, the eyes, the way they held themselves, and their personality. Now that alone doesn't make them related but considering her reaction to Cheshire he had to say he was a bit curious as to what their relationship was.
Turning back to Brainstorm, it didn't take long to come up with an accurate conclusion to the fact that the chance of them being related was 88.7%. With that, it was only how to talk to Artemis about what he had discovered.
"-Ben! Ben!" Ben snapped out his thoughts instantly and turned to the rest of the group. Wally had apparently been shaking his shoulder to get his attention. He shrugged off his hand and looked at him.
"What?"
"You're cleaning up dude!"
Ben looked at Wally with a raised brow. "Why would I do that, you can get this done in under a minute yourself," Ben says looking around to see the trash of take-out boxes and drinks on the floor.
"Well, Superboy walked away, Robin disappeared and Aqualad and I called 'not it'. And we can't have M'gann do all the work now can we?" Wally says with his own sly smirk.
Ben rolled his eyes as he looked around to see 2 of the occupants had left. "What about Artemis?"
"She is cleaning with you," Wally said becoming uninterested, Ben looked over at the girl in question as she mumbled something under her breath while getting a trash bag.
Wally then moved in a blink of an eye from Ben to M'gann as she was about to head over to her room.
"See you tomorrow M'glousous!" Ben almost facepalmed as Wally ran out of the room at super speed. Aqualad turned to Ben and Artemis.
"See you tomorrow my friends." He says and leaves the two hanging with Miss Martian the next to speak.
"Let me know if you need any help." She comments with a smile as she floats off to her room.
Ben looked at Artemis and sighed before helping with the trash. Now that he thinks about it this may have been his only chance to ask her about it.
An awkward silence fell over the two, Ben tried to think of a way to talk to her but found it difficult since he was bringing up such a personal question.
"Hey ar-"
"Artemis I-"
Both looked up at each other, surprised the other was about to start a conversation. The boy and girl smiled and then started to lightly laugh amongst themselves.
"You first," Artemis says, finishing her laugh as she stares at Ben.
Ben sighed. "Ok… well I'll get straight to the point… I may or may not have found out that you're related to the Cheshire girl…" If Artemis planned on denying this, she should have watched how she reacted cause it would be utterly pointless now. She suddenly cleared the 11 feet distance between them in a millisecond. She grabbed one of his shoulders and put a hand to his mouth pinning him to the wall.
"Shhh! Don't say that too loud! And how did you find out!" The meeting with Red Arrow yesterday had her worried enough, now one of her new teammates knew this was not good.
"Hmm, hmm." Ben hummed in Artemis' hand, she quickly removed the hand from his mouth so he could once again speak. "Brainstorm, the alien I used to defeat Cheshire is really smart, he could tell the family resemblance between both of you."
Artemis deflated, was she now really going to be kicked off the Team from only one day of being on it.
It just wasn't meant to be- "Why didn't you say it after we captured Cheshire?"
Artemis looked up in surprise by this. "W-What?" Artemis choked out of her dry throat. "Wait, you don't care if I'm related to a villain?!"
"Not really no, I can already tell you're not like her, I'm just wondering why you didn't tell us."
Artemis looked at him in shock. "T-They wouldn't trust me! How do you trust me?!" She knew she wasn't helping her case to keep her on the Team, but still, she was just too shocked at the revelation.
"Because like I said you're not like her. I trust you because you had our back in the fight. I trust you because when we took her off to jail you didn't try to free her. I trust for the exact same reason you didn't tell us. Because you didn't want us to dislike you for where you came from." Ben lists. Artemis stepped back a bit when he did. "Yeah, some of the Team might be wary of you if you were to tell them you have a blood-related enemy, mainly Wally, but I'm not I swear."
Artemis looked him straight in the eyes and smiled before frowning again. "Please tell me you'll keep it a secret for now…"
"I will," Artemis smiles brightly. "But that's not to say you shouldn't ever tell them. You shouldn't now, since you're relatively new, but in the future."
"I will…" She says with a smile until it turns into a devious grin. "Thank you, Ben, but since that was kind of an invasion of privacy, you can take care of the rest of the trash." Artemis slyly says with a wink before heading off to the meeting room where the Zeta Tube is located.
"Wait what?!" Ben yells before looking at the trash and sighs.
Unknown Location

In an area outside of time Paradox wandered around looking for anything different in the time stream.
If there ever was a difference he would need to step in, or already had, and just need to further it along once again.
Paradox smiled as he saw everything was fine, but frowned when he felt an angry chill crawl down his spine, he suddenly saw a red light, it moved fast, faster than light. And it was heading for a certain Ben Tennyson's timeline.
The 'Time Walker' as he was called, had fought these beasts before, in fact, he fought them so many times the number couldn't even be comprehended. So when he saw them once he immediately understood what it was.
"Time beasts!" He growled and created a blue vortex-like portal next to him. "I have to be quick, I'm running out of time."
Mount Justice

"Ow ugh!" Ben groaned as he was suddenly flipped over Superboy's shoulder. "This is so unfair…" Ben says, looking at the shirtless Kryptonian. As of right now, they were both in the training room. A hologram showing '-4' points hovered above the shapeshifter before he just swiped it away.
"Black Canary taught me that one, maybe if you showed up to her lessons you would have learned it too." Superboy smiled as he held a hand out to the boy. Ben took his friendly gesture and pushed himself off the ground.
"Ok, yeah, but this is still unfair, even if I did." Ben says with a heavy sigh, "I mean you have super strength and super speed, how am I supposed to get a hit?"
To Ben this was an impossible victory for him, even if he got a hit in, Superboy's invulnerability made it impossible for the boy to damage him at all.
All though Superboy had to admit, he was doing somewhat well at defending for him only going to some of Black Canary's lessons. Then again being in the Null Void it was all attack, attack, attack! He had to defend and dodge as best he could especially in his human form since before recalibration the Omnitrix loved to time out at the worst times.
Superboy smirked slightly, "I never said you couldn't transform."
With that and one last heavy sigh, Ben met Superboy's smirk with his own and slapped down on the dial of the Omnitrix. He suddenly became a large red-skinned alien with four arms and grinned at the boy.
"You sure you want to do this now?" Four Arms says having his upper right knuckle meet his left palm making a fiercely crack noise and soon doing the same with his lower arms as well.
"Bring it."
And so the two met again in combat.
Even though they only had clones in common, the two seemed to get along great, in fact, it seemed Ben was one of the only people Superboy really talked to.
Meanwhile, the fight had two onlookers that consisted of M'gann and Artemis. The two had bonded the most from the weeks that had passed.
Wally and Aqualad were off to the far end of the hall talking, well Aqualad was talking Wally stuffed his face with food. And Robin went out with Batman to do something in Gotham.
"Superboy is nice don't you think? Strong, cool. You should totally ask him out" Artemis said to M'gann.
"He's like a big brother to me. But you know who would make the cutest couple? You and Wally" M'gann fired back. "You're so full of passion and he's so full of... Um," she paused when they both saw Wally devour his food like a wild animal.
"It?" Artemis finished. The two shared a laugh as Four Arms grabbed Superboy's fists and threw him up in the air. He then jumped and grabbed him, having both then fight for control of the free fall. Neither won and with both of them punching each other in the face one more time both fell on the ground groaning in slight pain as a '-8 points' hologram hovered over them.
"Plus I kind of have my sights on someone else." M'gann having a far away dazed look.
"I know what you mean," Artemis says unknowing they were looking at the same person.
In a bright emerald light, Ben was back to human and held his head. "Well, I guess that's a tie…"
While the girls had their private chat, Wally zoomed in front of Red Tornado who was trying to leave before being stopped by the speedster.
"Hey, Red Tornado!" Wally greeted the android, "Do you have a mission for us?"
"Mission assignments are the Batman's responsibility," Red Tornado replied.
Wally just shrugged. "Yeah, well, the Batman's with the Robin, doing the 'Dynamic Duo' thing in Gotham. But you're headed somewhere, right? A hot date, or... a mission?"
"If we can be of help," Kaldur told Red Tornado.
Red Tornado seemed to consider this for a moment, before bringing up a holographic screen on the computers, showing the image of a very old man in a dark suit.
"This is Kent Nelson," Red Tornado explained, "He's a friend. And is 106 years old-"
"Guy doesn't look a day over 90," Wally whispered to Ben who rolled his eyes.
"And he has been missing for 23 days. Kent was a charter member of the Justice Society. The precursor to your mentor's Justice League." Red Tornado continued.
Then the photo was replaced by Dr. Fate with the rest of the Justice Society.
"Of course. Nelson was earth's sorcerer supreme. He was Dr. Fate." Aqualad said with a smile.
Wally scoffed, "More like Dr. Fake. The guy knows a little advanced science and Dumbledore's it up to scare the bad guys and impress the babes."
Ben rolled his eyes once more. "Dude, you seriously don't believe in magic?"
"You do?"
"From what I've seen, I kind of can't deny it."
"Kent may simply be on one of his walkabouts. But he is caretaker to the Helmet of Fate, the source of the Doctor's Mystic Might. And it is unwise to leave such power unguarded." Red Tornado said to us.
M'gann stepped forward with a smile. "He is like the great sorcerer priest and priestess of Mars. I would be honored to help find him."
Wally's hand shot up after hearing what M'gann said. "Me too! So honored I can barely stand it. Magic rocks."
Hearing that lie so blandly Ben suddenly got a hint of anger at Wally, maybe because of M'gann's innocent nature being taken advantage of but it was there, and Ben swore he was going to rat out Wally whenever he got the chance.
Red Tornado held up a key to everyone.
"Take this. It is the key to the Tower of Fate." He says holding a rusted old key for everyone to look at and giving it to Ben.
"What are the chances that we both so admire the Mystic Arts?" Wally asked M'gann, Ben glared at Wally before he saw Artemis have a sly smile on her face.
"What is it?" Artemis grins at him.
"Well, he is obviously lying through his teeth, I say we have fun with it." Ben suddenly smirks and looks at the lying speedster.
"Good idea."
Gotham
August 19, 19:53
Batman looked over at the streets of Gotham City, a place where there were already freaks in masks everywhere you look. From Scarecrow, Poison Ivy, Grundy, Two-Face, Black Mask, and yes the Joker. All dangerous in their own right. But even Batman the greatest detective had no idea which one of them or who else did this.
It wasn't any significant building, just a regular apartment complex, no special figures, no significant devices, drug trades barely took place in its back alley. And yet the top part of the complex had been turned to fine dust.
As Batman looked on from the building he was standing on he could see a trail, of some sort. As if whatever did this was jumping from building to building. It led to a few blocks away before the trial ended.
From the pattern and the specific buildings that were hit, he could tell that the person was either randomly attacking homes, feral and out of control, or multiple people were involved.
"Uh, Batman," Batgirl spoke on the comms, as Batman placed 2 fingers on his ear.
"What is it?"
"I tested that sample of the dust, there wasn't anything significant," Batgirl says with a sigh. "I guess we'll have to keep on looking-"
"I found something," Robin spoke on the comms. "The building I'm in was just put up last week, but I'm sitting in one of the rooms and seeing rusted pipes, dried-up painted walls, and floorboards that are about to break apart."
Robin says looking at the things listed and many, many more stuff that seemed to be a decade old. He then opened the fridge's doors and almost threw up.
"Add years old food to that list." Robin then pulls up a hologram from his gauntlet glove. "And I'm reading high amounts of energy all around here."
"It's as if the buildings are rapidly aging until they are dust," Batman concluded, narrowing his eyes.
Salem
August 19, 20:22
As the team was about to land in the patch of land that they were told held Dr. Fate's home, Ben leaned over to M'gann and whispered.
"You know Wally's lying right," She looked over to him with a raised brow. "About thinking magic exists."
The Martian gasped. "Really?"
Artemis nodded, adding some fuel to the fire. "Oh yeah, he's a science geek, he doesn't believe any of that exists, he's just trying to impress you." She looked back at the speedster and winked at them. "Watch this."
"So, Wally," Artemis asked. "When did you first realize your honest affinity for sorcery?"
Wally just smiled at her and shrugged. "Well, I... I don't like to brag, but, uh, before I became Kid Flash, I seriously considered becoming a wizard myself."
"I can see why, with the way food disappears when you're around, you are definitely a wizard," Ben joked, getting everyone to laugh while Wally glares at him.
They landed not too long after that. Wally had searched the area just in case the house was camouflaged. Ben stared at the key. For a bit before he gave up.
"Do you know what this will open? You seemed to know Dr. Fate when you brought him up in the cave." Ben said looked at Aqualad
Aqualad nodded and took the key. "I admired him as a child, but I don't know what this does." He spoke nothing more as he admired the rusty key.
Wally then suddenly appeared in front of them. "Nothing's here," Wally said, running up to the team, "This isn't simple camouflage."
"So, what do you think?" Artemis asked with a smirk. "Adaptive micro-optoelectronics combined with phase-shifting?"
Wally smiled at the scientific answer. "Absolutely..." M'gann caught on to the game quickly and stepped up to him, raising a brow. "...not. Clearly, mystic powers are at work here."
"Mystic or not, this is supposed to be where the tower is, so where is it?" Ben asked, raising a brow.
Unbeknown to them, the Team was being observed by 3 individuals, two of which being the kidnappers of a certain Kent Nelson and the final one being the kidnapped man in question.
"A test of faith" Aqualad states walking forward, jousting the key forward and seeming to turn it in an invisible lock.
Suddenly, an old wooden door that appeared to be from the late medieval times, appeared in front of Kaldur.
A sudden ripple effect started in the place in the once empty park. Now there stood a massive tower built entirely out of stone. They all awed at the tower in astonishment before Kaldur opened the door and they all stepped inside.
As soon as they entered the door closed. The 6 looked around the place admiring it and finding it odd it looked bigger on the inside than outside.
"Uh... where'd the door go?" Superboy commented.
Then the man they searched for named Nelson Kent appears in front of them with a bright glow to them.
"Looks like we found him…" Ben says with a deadpan stare until he sees the golden glow around him and his non-stop fizzing out of reality and back in. "Or… not…"
"Greetings," the projection of Kent's magic power begins to speak. "You have entered with a key, but the Tower does not recognize you. State your purpose and your intent."
Wally looks back at M'gann before smiling and stepping forwards. Ben seeing this immediately got nervous since Wally was seemingly really trying with his 'impress M'gann at all cost' today, something that was really ticking him off for unknown reasons. Either way, he was suspecting he wouldn't like the outcome of this.
"We are true believers, here to find Dr. Fate," he said with an overdramatic smile.
"Wally you idiot! Why would it accept that!" Ben yelled causing everyone to flinch.
The 'Kent' projection looks at him sadly, but before anything could happen a human-sized, vortex-like, blue portal appeared next to the projection.
Paradox, the time walker, as some called him stepped out of the portal. His hands inside his lab coat and a lively smile appear on his face.
"Paradox," 'Kent' spoke with a friendly tone, gaining his smile back. "I'm assuming these are your friends."
"Yes, yes they are." His British accent made his tone as chipper as can be. Paradox gazed at the heroes and smiled. The 'Kent' projection disappeared at his answer.
"Hello, Benjamin." Paradox greets as Ben himself grows his own grin.
"Paradox!" Ben exclaims with his arms out as if he would hug the man. While he didn't hug the very old man he did shake his hand and jumped up and down like a child. "Nice to see you again man! How have things been?"
"Good, in fact, it hasn't even been 10 minutes since I last saw you." Ben raised a brow slightly before he frowned and sighed.
"Geez, time travel is so confusing…" Ben smiled slightly as he heard his friend chuckle.
"I'll say."
"Uh, Ben?" Miss Martian asked bringing the shapeshifter back into reality when he turns around he can see all the team giving him a look that screamed 'confusion'
"Well… guys this is Paradox," Ben says holding out his hands to the very old man as said man bows his head. "He's a time traveler, I met him a couple of times when I was in the Null Void."
"Wait, wait, wait? You have traveled through time before?" Wally spoke blinking rapidly, almost as if trying to adjust his vision.
"Yeah, I even met my future self, he was a dick but I think I changed him for the better, I hope," Ben said, hoping he wouldn't turn out like the guy he met all the way in the future. His vision turned to Paradox and said man smiled at the group of young heroes. "Paradox this is-"
"The young covert ops team for the Justice League, I am quite familiar Benjamin."
Artemis giggled slightly, Ben looked at her wary since such a school girl type giggle like that didn't fit her personality at all. Meaning there was probably something devious behind it. "Is your full name actually, Benjamin?"
Ben's face started to turn red as his gaze slowly turned to the bookshelves to their left. That reaction was clear as day causing Artemis to state giggling again and Miss Martian to follow suit and then hovering over to Ben to comfort him.
"It's okay, Ben. it's a nice name." Miss Martian says to the boy.
Artemis smirked. "Don't you mean, 'Benjamin'" The girl even added Paradox's British accent to the frail making the blow severely more painful for said shapeshifter.
"Oh right!" Miss Martian said slightly laughing but covering her mouth to not be rude.
"Anyway…" Ben trailed off
"While I'm sure he is a trustworthy person to you, Ben. I hope you didn't discuss anything about the Team with this man." Aqualad said gesturing to the Professor lost to time.
"No, like I said last time I met him was in the Null Void…" Ben said, scratching the back of his head.
He remembered the last time he saw Paradox well, he was hoping the man would show up, not having any human interaction was making him slightly depressed. Then the good professor just showed up out of the blue. And as he said 'just to have a friendly chat.' And so they did for a couple of hours too.
Ben had even asked him if there was a way Paradox could set him free from the Null Void, but Paradox being the enigma that he is couldn't, however, told him he would get out soon.
"Paradox just has a way of knowing things…"
"Like how?" Superboy asked, after being insanely quiet on the trip, finally spoke.
"Well I know you all, and I know all your mentors and some Justice Society members as well, for example, Mr. Nelson." Paradox spoke to the clone. His incredibly chipper attitude made the clone slightly ticked.
"Is that why you're here, to help us find this guy?" Wally asked, having finally wrapped his head around all this.
"Yes and no," The confusing answer got the teens to give him a deadpan stare as he continued. "Yes, I will help you retrieve Kent, however, the main reason why I'm here is that two Time Beast's have entered this timeline and are causing havoc,"
"Time Beast's?!" The teens all spoke in unison, none had any idea what these monsters were but judging by the name they didn't like the sound of them.
"Yes, very big and nasty things that can accelerate people and objects' time if they touch you. They are a very dangerous species and supposedly extinct." Paradox sighs as the teens gasp.
"What do these things want?" Miss Martian asked, bringing her hands to her mouth to try and block her trembling voice.
"Whatever they want we won't let them have it," Ben said with a smile but then frowns when Paradox looks at Ben.
"They are hunting you, Ben." The teens gasp again. "Someone has sickened these horrid beasts on you, I don't know why, yet but I will."
The silence in the room grew with everyone trying to figure out what to do in this situation. This was a simple rescue mission now it has turned to THIS!
Paradox smiled. "Don't worry children, I'm sure we will handle it." The Team looked at him not so convinced, even still his smile never faltered. "However, you all aren't exactly dressed for this type of occasion, follow me," He spoke, spinning on his heel a full 180 degrees before starting to walk.
All the teens looked at each other in confusion before following him. Paradox then spun his index finger and pointed behind him.
"We'll meet right over there." He said as they wandered off, next thing they knew they were suddenly appearing on the other side of the room, with all of their clothes now changed from their casual wear into their costumes. Even M'gann's organic clothing had changed color.
Wally was the first to speak, grabbing his head in confusion. "Wow this is really trippy."
His comment made Paradox sigh as he looked at his pocket watch. "I recommend getting over it. The Time Beast will appear right about now."
His causal voice threw them off as they suddenly jumped in surprise and turned to where the door once was.
Ben activated the Omnitrix, Superboy got into a fighting stance, same with Aqualad and Artemis who suddenly also get their weapons, Wally's body started to vibrate and sparks surrounded him and Miss Martian's eyes glowed a bright green indicating she was ready to put up a psychic link.
They all waited for a solid thirty seconds before nothing happened. They turned to Paradox who chuckled.
"Sorry, time is a bit off, I meant right now…"
A BOOM was heard by all the team as their heads snapped to the wall where they saw the two humongous beasts growling at the teens.
'Miss Martian!'
'Link's already up!' She informed Ben who nodded. Ben then suddenly slapped down the Omnitrix dial which turned him into Big Chill, deciding if they aged stuff by touch they couldn't hit him if he was intangible.
'Good, Artemis, Aqualad, Miss Martian, keep your distance, they show any opening, take it and fire whatever you can at it!' Aqualad and Artemis nodded while firing long-range attacks that seemed to make the beasts whimper and back up slightly as Miss Martian, using her telekinesis, picked up the future around her and threw it at the beasts. 'Superboy, me and you will be attacking melee style, Kid you see either of us about to be hit, you rush in and get us out there.' Both nodded and they all rushed towards their enemies.
The beast to the right seemed to have enough of the onslaught of attacks that hailed from his front and fired a red rayon pure time energy in front of him.
The water that hit it turned muddy and gooey until it evaporated then the arrows broke apart before completely turning into dust. The blast almost hit the three heroes rushing towards them if not for Superboy and Kid Flash dodging to the right while Big Chill faced through the blast and decided to circle around it just in case he could actually face through it.
Superboy was the first to strike with a severe punch to the face on the right beast that seemed to shrug it off.
The beast hosted its paw up and got ready to slam it down on the boy to degrade him to a pile of dust and dirt. But Kid Flash quickly yanked him from his spot and carried him to safety allowing the paw to strike the floor.
The creature then disappeared from the spot it was just in and reappeared in front of them. Kid Flash almost fell on his face but was able to recover and start running the other way before losing his footing from another red blast hitting the ground beneath him.
Both him and Superboy rolled on the ground before hitting the wall. The time beast did the same as before, what seemed like teleporting from one end of the room to right in front of the two young heroes and getting ready to fire a red blast at them.
The two put up their hands to cover themselves but then uncovered when they saw the beast seeming to choke on something then seeing the ghostly-like form of Big Chill before said alien landed in front of the two. They could see an icicle piercing out from the inside of its throat but could also see it slowly decaying.
Meanwhile, Miss Martian, Artemis, and Aqualad formed a hail storm of arrows, bubbles made out of water fired so rapidly it could bend steel and furniture thrown with the might of the force Miss Martian could muster. Yet it only seemed to delay the inevitable.
The beast fired a red ray of time energy at the two on the ground and it hit the floor in front of them sending them tumbling back before landing beneath Paradox's feet.
"Aw found it!" he explains happily. Miss Martian, Ben, Kid, and Superboy rushed to their teammates hosting them up on their shoulders.
"Found what?"
"To Kent's cane, we find that we find Mr. Nelson." Paradox then opened a portal behind him and walked into it. "Come on now children."
The team looked at each other before sighing and walking into the portal leaving the two beasts growling behind them.
They all then fell down onto puffy snow, surprising since Summer just ended. They looked around, noticing the blizzard.
"Where are we? The north pole?!" Kid Flash cried out.
"Oh no, we're just in one of the many rooms in the tower." Paradox says with a smirk at the man's disbelieving face.
"You said you took us to Kent's… 'cane' was it?" Ben asked and paradox nodded before pointing at the cane surrounded by a golden light that was hovering in the air.
Ben quickly nodded before walking up to the cane and grabbing it. He was suddenly engulfed by a golden light and teleported away as his team gasped.
"Ben!" The team shouted but paradox waved off their surprise.
"Don't worry, he is just meeting up with Kent now, come we must find them..."
Meanwhile
"Are we there yet?" Klarion groaned as he, Teekl, Abra Kadabra, and Kent Nelson wandered through the seemingly never-ending staircases, "Are we there yet? Are we there yet?"
Fed up, Abra Kadabra grabbed Kent and spun him around to face him. "Tell us how to find the helmet!"
Since Kent couldn't answer because of the collar, Abra Kadabra ripped it off and chucked it away. The former Leaguer smiled. "Can't," he said. "Having too much fun!"
The fake magician growled, Abra Kadabra pointed his wand and fired a bolt of electricity into Kent's body making him groan in pain.
"Still having fun?" The false sorcerer retorted.
Klarion laughed. "I am, zap him again, or dump him off the side and watch him splat!"
Deciding to take the first option, Abra Kadabra fired more electricity, much to Klarion's pleasure. After a moment, Teekl growled loudly.
"Ah, yeah," Klarion admitted. "I guess we might still need him." Still a smile on his face.
Abra Kadabra stopped Kent's torture when he and Klarion saw a flash of golden light appear on a staircase above them.
Kent grew a smirk at this and looked at the boy and recognized the jacket he was wearing. 'Like the one Paradox described, so this is him huh?'
"Who the hell are all of you- wait your Kent Nelson, I guess the cane did take me to you…"
"Well, would you look at that?" Kent said, just as both he and his cane began to glow with golden light. He rose into the air in a quick motion and flew towards the teen, landing in front of him.
Once he touched the cane Ben seemed to have his grip loosened although he didn't think he grabbed it as tight.
"In here." He said, pointing at a wall, onto which an elevator appeared.
Ben, learning a long time ago not to question magic, ran with it and the old man and slid into the elevator.
"No, no NO!" Klarion yelled, pointing his hands at the closing door. "I want that helmet! I want it, I want it, I want it!" He launched two red beams of mystical energy, but they impacted the closed door and did seemingly nothing to it.
Inside the elevator, Kent gave the boy a big smile. "Thank you for coming, I am Kent Nelson."
"Good, 'cause it's been a long day, and I have way too many problems to deal with to still be trying to find you," Ben said breathing a sigh in relief.
"I felt two beings break through the tower, I'm guessing that's what you're referring to?" Ben nodded. "Abra won't be any big deal, but Klarion and these two unknown creatures might be too much of a tough battle, I may just have to use it…"
"Use what?"
"The helmet of fate. We can't let Klarion get the Helmet of Fate. If he gets his sticky little mitts on it, he'll turn the whole planet into his own personal playground of pandemonium. I'll deal with him, can you deal with these creatures?"
Ben smiled, "There time beasts and I think we have a mutual friend that will be helping us."
Kent smiled as well. "Paradox huh."
Ben nodded, "So what made you give up being Fate anyway? Old age?"
"No nothing like that, I made a promise to my deceased wife I wouldn't put the helmet on again, but you know what they say, in times like these you have to make the tough call."
Ben frowned at this since it reminded him of when he had to make his own tough calls in the past.
A sudden beeping noise attracted their attention as they stepped out of the elevator just in time to see the team and Paradox step out of a blue vortex-like portal.
"Friends of yours?"
Instead of answering Ben pushed Kent to the ground, narrowly avoiding a bolt of electricity sent from Abra, who stood on another staircase, beside Klarion who was grinning wickedly.
"Friends of yours!" Ben retorted, a sudden boom erupted behind them as the walls to this staircase-filled room burst open and the two Time Beast's crawled on the walls slithering to the heroes and villains.
"Right back to you kid."
"Touche."
"Ben!" Aqualad suddenly called out, gaining their attention as Paradox stepped beside him.
"You must get to the helmet!" Paradox yelled out creating a portal underneath them that they quickly jumped into.
"NO!" Klarion screamed, his body turning into red mystical energy before zooming into the portal himself.
One of the Beast's made a very forceful gurgling sound before jumping to one of the closed staircases and continuously jumping before it hit the roof and crashed right through like a wrecking ball.
The other beast stayed to fight, noticing the other enemies still in the room.
"W-What is that thing!?" Abra suddenly shouted, sending a bolt of electricity to its head. The Beast barely moved its head at the attack and then sent a power ray blast of time energy at the man who couldn't dodge in time and was struck in the upper chest.
If Abra didn't die from the sudden explosion that erupted from his chest and the blood spewing out of him like a fountain there was no doubt he died from suddenly getting aged from what looked like centuries before, even his bones, fully turned to dust.
The Team gasped, understanding the full weight of this now. They had never seen a true death before on this job, now it was getting real, and now they knew they couldn't mess up or they would end up just like Abra.
Meanwhile
Ben and Kent arrived at the very top of the Tower, where the Helmet of Fate hovered in place. A red blast of energy came down from the heavens which Ben was able to tackle Kent out of the way.
Klarion growled before charging another attack but not before the former Doctor Fate raised his cane and chanted an incantation, creating a golden bubble, just before another one of Klarion's attacks hit.
"NO! NO! NOOOO!" Klarion cried out like a boy that couldn't get the toy he wanted.
"Alright, it's about that time," Kent said reaching for the helmet but not before Ben grabbed his wrist.
"Wait!" The former sorcerer supreme looked at the teen. "Your wife… she didn't want you to put it back on for a reason right… because something bad happens when you put it on…"
Kent smiled. "How do you figure that kid?"
"The way you said, and my past experiences. 'Tough call' usually means you have a choice with neither option being too good."
Kent laughed at the kids' deduction, it wasn't too bad. Neither far off. "True, when I put on the Helmet, the spirit Nabu takes control. If I put this on-again, I may never be able to take it off."
"Which is why your wife forced you to quit…" Ben finishes as Kent nods. They both seemed to ignore the impending danger that went on outside the bubble even when Kent felt it slightly weakening.
"Well then sorry but I can't let you put that on," Ben says with a stern look as Kent grows shocked. "I can't let your wife go turning in her grave, I can handle this creep without the Helmet."
Kent grew flabbergasted at this, he wasn't sure if the kid was stupid, cocky, or both. "Kid, the Witch Boy has taken on beings a lot stronger than some members of the Justice League."
Klarion ignored the prase as his mystical energy turned into large clawed hands and then sunk into the bubble and clawed at its defenses.
"Yeah, but he's never fought me before," Ben stated boldly, sizing up his enemy as said boy cackled.
"Oh please, you really think you can defeat ME you little punk!" Klarion laughed as he ripped apart the bubble that surrounded Kent and Ben. ben pressed on the Omnitrix. And scrolled around to find the right alien.
"I know I can!" He slapped down the dial to the Omnitrix, replacing him with a large stone creature with purple-pink crystals sticking out of different parts of his body. "Chromastone!"
With the Team
The Team was not having an easy time with the Time Beast, every time they hit it just seemed to shrug it off.
The Beast was getting frustrated as well and opened its mouth to fire a red laser filled with time energy at the team.
The Team stood frozen knowing what that laser was capable of. The laser fired at them at light speed but a blue vortex-like portal spits open reality and space itself and swallowed the laser whole then closed back up.
The team turned to Paradox who gave them a simple wave. The Team turned back to the Beast. It opened its jaw again, unhinging it like a snake and getting ready to fire another time blast at them only for Artemis to fire an explosive arrow into its mouth and M'gann to use her telekinesis to snap its jaw shut in a split second.
Its mouth and body jerked furiously to the point they thought the creature would explode but they didn't stop there.
Aqualad and Superboy rushed at the creature. Superboy punches it in the eye making it snarl and roar in pain.
Aqualad takes his machete-like water swords and takes a chunk of skin out of the creature's leg. Kid Flash then spun his arms in circles until he created two different tornados that held such strong winds it pushed the beast back. Miss Martian decided to help and used her own telekinesis to push the beast back as well.
They were still on the multitude of staircases, if they pushed him back far enough they might have a chance.
Artemis and Aqualad, picking up what they were doing, fired several projectiles at its feet to make it lose balance. It all seemed to be working with Superboy finishing it off by slamming his right shoulder into the beast's jaw.
Everyone heard the sudden CRACK, most of the teens cringed at the sound and looked at the monster as it tumbled off the ledge and fell down to what seemed to be a bottomless pit of staircases.
After falling through several golden staircases the beast's fall was halted for a moment allowing it to slowly stand back up.
"A little help would be nice," Superboy commented to Paradox who smiled and then looked at his pocket watch.
"No need, I already have." A blue portal opened above the Time Beast as the same red laser it shot at the team fired onto itself. Slowly the Time Beast roared in agony as its body withered and decayed away until turning into dust.
"You could have done that at any time?" Kid Flash asked
"Oh, no, no, no. The Time Beast moves as fast as light, if I were to fire such a thing while it was still able to move that fast it would have dodged and then there goes are chances of winning." Paradox then opened a portal next to him and stepped inside. "Let's carry on shall we."
The Team all sighed, they were already too tired to 'carry on' but they still had to. So with a shrug, they jumped in after the Time Walker.
Back with Ben
Chromastone absorbed all the mystical energy that Klarion was sending at him, for a minute he wasn't too sure if he could absorb magic attacks life the Lord of Chaos was sending him now, but now that he knows he definitely would keep that in mind.
"Why won't you die!?" Klarion asked in exaggerated anger.
"Because I still have to kick your ass! I can't let the old man do all the work for me after all." Kent, who was looking astonished, smiled at Ben's words.
The sudden meow of Teekl the cat then got his attention. The orange cat scurried along to its master before hissing at the loud boom that was happening behind them.
The floor beneath exploded as something came through the ground and landed on the Tower of Fate's top floor. It was the second Time Beast.
Cromastone, recovering the fastest from the sudden appearance, shot an energy blast that was a mix of Klarion's magic energy and his own energy that Cromastone produced. The blast hit its mark dead center in the head then… BOOM!
The impact made an explosion and shockwave so great that if Kent hadn't put another magic barrier around himself he probably would have gone unconscious or flew off the roof of the Tower.
Time Beast almost rolled off the Tower but settled itself and then fired a time blast at Chromastone. Chromastone couldn't dodge in time and hoped that he could absorb it which he found out he could, another helpful tip.
The time blast immediately got absorbed and then fired back at the Time Beast this time though the Time Beast seemed to teleport a step to the right making the blast miss.
However, the Beast in front of them couldn't teleport, it was just moving so fast they could only perceive it as teleportation.
Klarion growled and shot a giant blast of magic at its face. "Great another killjoy!"
Chromastone even though they were enemies they seemed to have a common goal so Ben decided to step in and help Klarion… for now, but he was stopped as a small blue portal, barely bigger than his head, popped up in front of them.
"Quickly Ben, transform into your new alien!" Paradox's voice could be heard from the portal even though the alien could not see him through the small rift.
Chromastone raised an eyebrow in confusion. "What new alien?" Not even missing a beat the Omnitrix suddenly made a beeping noise.
"Hurry Benjamin, we are running out of time!" And with that, the small rift closed.
Ben quickly nodded and slammed down on the dial. Suddenly Ben was replaced with a robot-like alien with skin made of golden metal, with black stripes and a transparent piece of green glass on his chest, revealing the gears inside. And the Omnitrix symbol on its chest.
"Clockwork!"
The robot-like alien looked at the Time Beast and scoffed and pressed his palm into his metal knuckles and made a loud CLUNK.
"Well Time Beast, it appears your time is up!" His thick German accent heard by all, the green gears in his stomach started to turn as he held his arms out.
Then Clockwork fired a green blast of time while the Time Beast fired a red blast of pure time energy. Both attacks met in the middle. The sudden light between the two shining and lighting up the top of the Tower.
If anyone was nearby they would have probably thought there was a party going on. But it was a match, life, and death, for a split moment it seemed the Time Beast had overpowered Clockwork, but that was it, just a moment. Soon Clockwork put a lot more energy behind it and the semi-large blast of green light grew twice its size.
Clockwork's time ray easily overpowered the Time Beast's as the ray connected with the Time Beast the creature slowly started to morph back into an egg, until that's all it became a red egg.
Seeing this Ben immediately stopped and instantly dropped to his knees as he transformed back into a human.
He breathed heavily and he was all sweaty, now he also knew that time powers took a lot of energy and concentration to keep at it for so long.
Klarion looked at the boy on his knees and then looked at Kent who was still protecting the Helmet of Fate. A little 'meow' from his cat partner confirmed what he was thinking when he turned his sights to the egg. He rubbed his hands together deviously and his pupils turned smaller and pure blood red.
His evil cackle escaped his lips as he shot magic energy at the egg hoping to snag it. But the energy was blocked by a sudden blue portal opening in front of it.
"Don't even think about it, Witch Boy." Paradox claims as the rest of the Team jump out of the portal ready to fight.
Klarion stepped back slightly being met by all the Heroes including Paradox who was the last to step out of the portal. Ben seemed to be getting up, getting some help from Artemis and Miss Martian. And with this new development, Kent decided to take down his shield and go on the offensive.
"Damn it! Damn it! Damn it!" The whole tower shook at his outrage before he picked up his orange cat and in a blinding ruby-red light disappeared from their sight.
In a place outside of time
Eon opened his eyes and smiled. "What happened?" His partner Vilgax asked.
"They failed…"
"And that joyful how?!" Vilgax yelled out furious that those Time Beast's were a complete waste.
"They may have failed in killing Ben Tennyson. However, they did not fail their true goal. I felt the 'Sotobro Effect' right when he transformed into Clockwork." Eon laughed darkly as his plan worked out wonderfully. "Now I have a hone in on his time, there is nowhere where he can run now!"
Vilgax added his own laughter as the purple bubble that surrounded them blasted off into the distance.
Mouth Justice

It was a long fight, everyone was recovering from the bruises and scratches they may have gotten, while Ben was shaking hands with Paradox.
"It was nice seeing you again, Benjamin." Paradox says with a warm smile.
"Yeah, same to you, Professor Paradox." Paradox frowns
"Ben, there is something you must know…" He grew silent which slightly made Ben nervous. "Great enemies are coming, you must be ready… but for now have a good day!"
Ben almost dropped to the floor dramatically as the tension was replaced by a casual goodbye.
Paradox walked through a new rift he made and with one final wave closed it behind him.
"Enemies huh?"
