Q&A

Maximum Rhapsody: There will defiantly be other arcs, yes, but only girls from DC are a part of the harem.

DuckBoi: Thank you! And also Ben is very trusting of his Team, it makes sense why the show had Aqualad not tell his Team but Ben has a much simpler mindset in knowing that he fought with his team for so long and that a villain was the one to tell him that there was a mole. He just thinks that either Sportsmaster was trying to get in his head or trying to catch Ben off guard.

Heroic: Good question. Omni-Enhanced, no. Omni-Kix, no. Omni-Naut, no. Knockoff waterhaza- I mean Overflow, no. Gax, Slapback, Shock Rock, maybe. Some of Ben's playlist isn't going to make it, like Fasttrack, they should have just made him the Ultimate XLR8, I don't like him. However, after the 5-year time skip, I'm going to use Kuro the Artist's Five years later aliens a try since it seems fitting. There will also be some DC aliens but other than that nothing else.

TheOp-Master: 1. Eon was already betrayed by Maltrent but has not been betrayed by Vilgax yet, the battle of the Ben's hasn't happened yet. For simplicity's sake let's say Eon traveled to the future to help out Maltruent but after it didn't work out he decided to team up with Vilgax to first get rid of all Ben's. 2. I'm hoping Eon will be as menacing, I'm definitely giving him his best powerset since it seems to change through the series. 3. I've said this multiple times, how I HATE THOSE STORYLINES! Azmuth was merely saying it will be easy for HIM to recreate the Omnitrix since he hasn't given original Ben the new Omnitrix yet, but plans on making it with the design that it doesn't give the alien Ben wants because of the lesson he learns at the end of Omniverse. I hate it when stories try the stupid idea of making another Omnitrix. It doesn't even make any sense since an Omnitrix would need to be synced with Primus, even if Luthor could make one, how could he possibly even know or attempt something like this. Again the story like is stupid, I know you were saying you don't want that and I agree, but everyone else that reads this as well, don't expect that storyline from THIS story.

Guest: Tram? What do you mean 'why not let the tram know that he's a copy of the original'? Do you mean team, if so who are you talking about since Ben doesn't know Red Arrow is a clone (If you meant him), or are you talking about Ben being a copy, if so it wouldn't matter if he was or wasn't? Copy Ben didn't know there was a communicator in the Omnitrix until much later. Ben prime didn't even know there was a copy and still doesn't, neither I would think would need to communicate with each other anyway. However, they might meet later on. Ben already gave all his info about Vilgax to the League but knew nothing of Eon anyway, and you'll have to be patient with the rest. Ship, I can't see happening since Ship is in a completely different world and the Galvanic Mechmorphs can't possibly be in the DC universe. Also, Eon can be threatening at times but he isn't the strongest of Ben's villains, that's why the Team beat him so easily between their teamwork and catching Eon by surprise the time traveler couldn't keep up.

KingofthePhantomDragon: Here's the new chapter, and don't worry Star is coming in soon.

Alright I know I have some explaining to do. I hit a little writer's block, then once I got out of it I wanted to change the storyline slightly and I had to wait on making a new chapter for a while before I had the new storyline mapped out. I'm sorry it took so long but I didn't want the new chapters to come out shitty because I wouldn't be motivated with the story progressing. Either way here's the new chapter, hoped you enjoy.

In an alternate timeline, one much like Ben's own, held a maximum-security prison made on earth to hold the worst of the worst scum in the world.

Eon had been held in many prisons such as this and had some… not so great flashbacks of being here. Now that he was a time traveler himself, no prison could hold him, no cell, no cage. The only way to stop him was to kill him. However, that would prove difficult for anyone, for a time was on his side.

"Hey, Eon! Long time," A deep male voice said from behind Eon. The time traveler looked back and met the man's piercing gaze. His hair was a chocolate brown with grey lines from old age on the sides. He had a goatee with a deep scowl on his face—dark green pants with a white and black shirt and a big grey Omnitrix on his wrist.

Eon turned his gaze slightly to see a kid dressed similar to the man who seemed to have his Omnitrix that was similar to the one Ben had when he was 10.

"Well it isn't the knockoff Ben Tennyson from the future, and his even more of a knockoff son." Eon listed shifting his gaze from the older man to the kid.

Ben, from the future, merely shrugged off the insult. His son, Ken, however, stuck his tongue out at the villain with a 'hmm'.

"Your one to talk about a 'knockoff' Eon. Whatever you're here for, you're not getting it." As Ben talked Eon his a hand behind his back and summoned a ball of violet energy. He then shot the ball from his hand at the father and son.

Ken got ready for the blast activating his Omnitrix but Ben stood unmoving and held his hand out to Ken to stop him from transforming.

As the violet ball of time was a meter away from the two, the distance was suddenly blocked by a sky-blue portal appearing in front of it. Paradox, the time walker, stepped out of the portal and grabbed the violet ball of time energy the ball immediately evaporated in his hand as the blue portal disappeared.

Ben and Ken stepped beside Paradox as all of them had a stare-down with Eon.

"Stop this madness, Eon. It is not too late," Eon cackled like a made man as he held out his hand towards one of the alarm systems. None of them had been set off since Eon teleported into the prison, and Ben, Ken, and Paradox were recognized as not intruders.

Eon launched a sphere of violet energy at the alarm setting it off with a loud 'bang' as red lights flashed through the prison all that could be heard was Eon saying "It's already too late, Time Walker."

In a flash of violet light, Eon teleported out of the room as all the exits and entrances were suddenly blocked by metal doors preventing even a Way Big from getting out of there.

In another flash of violet light, Eon appeared again in the prison cells. Walking for only a minute he reached the cell he had been searching for. The man behind the glass cell looked at him, the dark cell had nearly no light so not even Eon, as close as he was, could see inside.

However, the name next to the cell told him everything he needed to know.

"What- do you- want-" A deep raspy voice called out, the man was probably dehydrated. Eon smirked wildly as he spoke.

"I promise you revenge, on a Tennyson. A different Tennyson from your own, but a much weaker one. One that will be easy for you to kill."

The man behind the glass didn't miss a beat. "I'm in." Eon grinned slightly grew as he shot a violet ball of energy at the glass aging it into dust.

"Eon!" A growl escaped from Ken's lips as Eon looked to his left to see a ball of electricity being thrown at him.

He teleported slightly behind where he once stood to avoid the electricity and looked at where they came from. It seemed Ken turned into an alien that looked a lot like a living battery with two green eyes and black limbs, a large feline grin on his face. Meanwhile, Ben and Paradox stood side by side, Ben now being a larger much older Four Arms than teenage Ben.

"Ken, remind me to teach you how to not shout out your attacks before they hit." His father scolded as Ken rubbed the back of his head slightly embarrassed.

"No more running away, Eon!" Paradox announced, holding his cane out like a lance.

"Hmm," Eon hummed with a grin, he could now see the man in the cell's face slightly distort and hear him growl as he heard Ben's voice. "Who's running?"

Cracks appeared on the walls near the cells as something appeared to be growing and busting down the walls around it. The prison's ceiling started to let loose some unpleasant creaking sounds that made it sound like it would collapse. The floor shook violently like an earthquake had taken place.

Black and dark grey tentacles shot out of the cell and wrapped around Ken's form and started to squeeze him. Four Arms grabbed the tentacles and started to fight the monster in the cell. Ken's form let out shocks of electricity onto the monster but it didn't seem too effective.

Paradox had charged forward battling Eon with his cane against Eon's plasma sword. But Paradox suddenly jumped back as a fireball shot past Paradox and slammed into the wall across the cell. Eon used that time to go to the occupant of the cell and bring his hand to its stomach.

In a flash of violet light, both the cell occupant and Eon had disappeared. Ken and Ben both transformed back into their human form. As Paradox shakingly stood up from the floor.

"What just happened?" Ken asked as Ben ran up to the cell and checked who was the one that was being contained in it, when he saw who it was his eyes widened.

"Someone very dangerous just got out," Ben answers as he looks back at Paradox who was about to step into a portal. "Wait, Paradox let me go with you. I'll get that bastard back in his cell before lunch."

"No need Tennyson, 'he' won't be out for long. The Tennyson I'm going to visit will make sure of it." Paradox smiles as he steps into the portal.

"Geez, does he have to be so vague?" Ken complained as he crossed his arms.

"Tell me about it…" Older Ben sighed ruffling his hand through his hair.

Mount Justice

Happy Harbor; September 21th 3:30

"It's all about eye hand-coordination. Have a nice and firm grip when you're ready to fire. And then releasing it at the right time when it shoots off."

"Ok… what if I miss?"

"That's ok! It's your first time. Just breathe in then out and then just let it happen."

Artemis and Ben were currently in the training room. A holographic target appeared about 3 meters away from the two. Artemis stood behind Ben, working him through some of the finer points of archery.

Superboy, who had been giving the name Conner, since he needed one for school, was out and so was M'gann. The rest of the team seemed to be with their mentors which left Ben and Artemis by themselves in the cave.

After he had told the Team and just the Team that Sportsmaster had mentioned there was a mole there seemed to be some division between them as to who they could trust. Kid Flash, Aqualad, and Robin knew they could all be trusted with each other but it was clear that sentiment wasn't kept for the rest of the team.

It did make sense, Artemis they knew nothing about, Kid Flash seemed to be eager to throw her under the bus if Ben hadn't stepped in and stopped him before he even opened his mouth.

M'gann was sweat and innocent but there were some holes with stories about Mars and how she keeps on talking about a TV show but never tells him the name or what it's about and it was the fact of what he saw in the Omnitrix after it started scanning all the aliens near him… but that didn't matter right now.

Superboy had to be the most suspect, his hot temper was one indication but there was also the fact that he could have been a spy and even he wouldn't know, with all the reprogramming Cadmus could have done to him. The Team was most suspicious of him and he knew it, which pissed him off. Robin had brought up the idea of Miss Martain going through his brain and seeing if Cadmus had done anything to him, Aqualad was the first to object, remembering how 'uncomfortable' Conner was the first time she entered his mind.

Ben agreed with his statement and made the declaration that Conner should come up with his answer. To which he responded that he needed time to himself. After that, it seemed like people were avoiding the cave together.

So it was a nice change of pace for Ben to be having such a fun conversation with the blond archer, sharing stories of his past, outside of the Null Void. Artemis also shared some stories of her own, some of her learning how to fight or how to use a bow.

Ben couldn't remember what would trigger him to suddenly get a stupid boost in confidence but he then challenged the girl, saying that 'shooting an arrow couldn't be that hard' and 'he could do it in one try'

He didn't.

He failed almost instantly since he drew the arrow and aimed too low so the arrow completely missed the target. Artemis held in her laugh at his complete failure. But Ben was determined not to give up so he tried a couple more times and missed just as many. Then Artemis offered to help and walk him through it but he didn't think it would be like this.

The archer stood behind him, arms wrapped nice and tight around his waist when he pulled back the bow upon her instruction. He blushed at the contact of her body as his whole body started to shake nervously.

Artemis, however, didn't seem bothered by the contact at all, it gave her an excuse to touch Ben while correcting his pose and his posture, which was not a bad thing, as far as Artemis was concerned.

"Good and fire," Artemis said.

He came closer to hitting the target, much closer than before. Ben turned around and looked her straight in the eye. Artemis just broke out into a soft sigh and placed a gentle hand on his shoulder.

"It wasn't bad," Artemis said. "You just need to turn your positioning a bit more to the right… here, like this."

Artemis turned her body in the spot next to Ben. She reared back the bow and shot the arrow. It was a direct hit. Artemis tried not to look too happy.

"You make it look easy," Ben told her with a deflated look.

Artemis answered with a half of a shrug. "Well you make the things you do, look too easy as well. I doubt changing into an alien with a new superpower every second is easy."

"True." Ben reared back the bow, copying Artemis's earlier movements. He sunk the arrow into the target. It wasn't right in the middle like Artemis's but it was close.

"To be fair, that's good," Artemis said. "No one expects you to be like Green Arrow or Spe….Red Arrow or…."

"Like you," Ben said.

"Like me," Artemis agreed. They both stared at each other for a little bit longer both seemingly infatuated with the other's looks, before Ben suddenly looked away and coughed into his fist.

"...So want to trade more stories…" Artemis seemed confused by the change in the topic before she saw the red blush on his cheeks and smirked.

"Sure thi-" She was cut off by her phone going off. She seemed to have set a timer for something, for what he had no idea. "Rain check, I have to get home before my mom kills me."

"Ok, see you tomorrow." Ben waved as he looked at Artemis running towards the Zeta Tube and with a golden flash, she was gone.

Eon was seen pressing back and forth in front of a large figure that he had recently broken out of prison. "Now you know what you must do right?"

"It's not too hard to figure out! Kill Tennyson! Right?" The dark figure said with a deep growl.

"Yes well I know how your powers work, the more energy you get, the crazier you get," Eon asked an eyebrow raised as he watched the figure slowly morph down in size, its appendages shaping into human legs and arms.

"Oh, I'm defiantly crazy, however, I'm more… in control now."

"Whatever, just don't fail me!" Eon said turning his back on the figure and walking away.

"Oh, come on, Eon!" The man whined stepping out of the shadows and revealing his long wavey raven-black hair, pale skin, and dark brown eyes. He also had an X-shaped scar on his face, his grin was massive and while he took the shape of a human no one would have mistaken him for what he truly was… A monster! "I've come close to actually killing Ben in the future, killing his past self will be a breeze!"

Everyone was out or not doing anything, and he was SOOOO BORED! So he decided to visit Kent Nelson aka Doctor Fate. He wanted to make sure the old man was doing fine and didn't have any desire to put the helmet on. However, he hadn't expected others to already be in his company when he had entered the tower, courtesy of the spare key Nelson lent him.

As he walked in he was met with surprisingly 3 familiar figures, there was Nelson of course but also three others. He recognized the other old man instantly, he was part of the Justice League, after all, his name was… Zatara if he remembered correctly.

The last one was a girl Ben didn't think he would see so soon. "Zatanna?" He asks ignoring the gaze of confusion from Zatanna's father as she smiled brightly at his arrival.

"Ben? What are you doing here? Wait, do you know Kent?" She asked running up to him.

Ben was about to answer but Kent beat him to it. "The boy saved me a while ago, come in Ben, take a seat funny enough we were just talking about the helmet now."

Ben nodded and walked with the Zatanna as both sat on seats that just seemed to appear out of nowhere. Magic… he wasn't going to try and make sense of such a thing.

"So what were you guys talking about the helmet for?" Ben asked noticing the girl next to him seemed to be eyeing him.

"I was asking Giovanni here to be the next Doctor Fate."

"And I have told you, Nelson," Zatara sighed like he had been saying this for a while. "While I am honored that you chose me for this job, my responsibilities are to my family, my daughter…" He clarified.

"Dad," Zatanna spoke with slight disablement in her voice. "You don't have to worry about me so much."

"Wait, Isn't Zatanna going to join the Team?" Ben asked and immediately regretted it since Zatara sent a death glare towards him which made him twitch and hold up his hands in a form of surrender. "Just spitballing here-"

"No need to apologize, Ben," Kent says smiling at the boy. "I've been trying to get this guy to agree to that ever since you saved me." Zatara gave another glare to his teacher and then another back at the boy.

"I don't want to endanger my daughter." Ben looked at Zatanna and she seemed to not like how this conversation turned out, evident by the fact she got up and started to walk away with her arms crossed.

"Zatan-"

Ben got up next. "I'll talk to her…" He said and followed close behind her.

Washington DC

September 22, 19:23

Eon wandered the streets looking at the device in his hand that was shaped like a much larger iPhone, the screen seemed to be blinking before it completely shut off, much to the time travelers announce. He quickly slammed the device on the ground and yelled.

"This damn thing is broken, how can I find Tennyson if I have no suitable way to track his Omnitrix!?" Eon yelled towards the sky, even if he wasn't trying to attract the attention it was the middle of the night so no one was even around.

Vilgax was acquiring power for his 'new plan' so now he was left to find the Omnitrix by himself. 'This new plan of his better be worth it!' He realized that he was slowly losing all his control over the situation, after their fight with Tennyson and Eon had introduced Vilgax to Sinestro, it became all but clear. Eon was just turning into another one of Vilgax's lackeys.

It's the way he had gotten that 'monster' in the first place. Now there were only two BIG problems.

This Tennyson has already fought him before meaning there wouldn't be any new surprises for him if he were to strike again. Also, this Tennyson has more control over the Omnitrix than the one he's used to fighting, which only meant more trouble.

And then there were the young heroes working with him. Tennyson filled them in on his powerset since they easily avoided him and made sure to attack in a way that never gave him a chance to shoot any time rays and barely gave him a moment to teleport.

Just as he finished his thought, a metal javelin whooshed by his head, cutting through the air. Eon's eyes widened as he hadn't heard anyone behind him, he didn't even know the javelin was there before it popped into eyesight. Which meant if the javelin was truly aimed at his head he wouldn't have known and would be dead in an instant.

Just as he slightly turned his head the middle part of the javelin passed by his face and made a *beep* before exploding his face and sending him 5 meters away, tumbling down the street like a tumbleweed before crashing into a lamppost and bending it to the point it almost.

Eon, with blurry vision, looked at the man that dared throw an explosive such as that at him and was surprised to see it was a man with blond hair and a hockey mask.

"W-Who are y-yo-u…" Eon's blurry vision started to worsen and his hearing was rapidly lowering.

"No hard feelings," The man said, his voice raspy and deep. "My bosses wanted to have a chat with you."

Eon finally lost consciousness and the blond assassin grabbed the time traveler and hosted him on his shoulder and walked away to the nearest alleyway.

At this point, it had been around 11-midnight, and while the lack of sleep was getting to Ben, Zatanna not so much. They had been sitting there for a few hours with Ben just listening to Zatanna go on about how protective her father was of her and how he didn't need to be.

"Hey, Zatanna?" Ben asked and the girl in question looked at him as he rubbed his eyes. "Do you want to join the team?"

Zatanna blushed slightly and started to press her two index fingers together sheepishly. "Well- yeah- there's someone I'm interested in, getting to know…"

"Who?" Ben asked, the question going right over his head.

"U-Um… no one… anyway, why do you ask?"

"Well it's just if you wanted to join the Team you should tell him." Ben offers to which Zatanna glares at him, the anger behind it though didn't seem directed at him.

"I have!" She shouted making Ben jump. "I mean I have asked ever since I heard about a team filled with 'ex-sidekicks' but my dad still didn't let me."

Ben hummed in thought for a moment before looking back at Zatanna. "Maybe I can help you with that by bringing it up to other league members and trying to talk to Zatara. It also seems like Kent is trying to do the same as well. It seems a little overprotective but in our line of work it does make sense why he is so afraid."

Zatanna paused for a moment before looking down. "Yeah, you're right I just wish he would give me some space you know."

Ben smiled. "Yeah, I can understand that."

After a while of going back and forth, the two decided to head back to the room that held Zatara and Zatanna.

Later

After Zatara and Zatanna had left the only two that remained were Ben and Kent. Both of them were sitting on the very comfortable seats that were placed close to the fireplace.

"So how's the search for the new Dr. Fate coming along," Ben asked the old man with a tired look.

"Great," He said which caught Ben by surprise. "I found quite the candidate before you saved me, however, the boy is too young to put it on now."

"I see," Ben said "Well don't worry I'll make sure no one puts on the helmet before your new successor can."

Kent smiled at his proclaim, knowing the boy meant every word he said. "Thank you, Ben. But there is something I should warn you about. I've been looking into Klarion attacking and kidnapping me."

Ben raised a brow. "Why? Didn't he just want the helmet of fate?"

"Maybe, but 'partnering with people' and 'well throughout plans' aren't exactly the Klarions forty," Kent said getting up from his seat and staring down at Ben. "Klarion has partnered up with some other villains, I think with the recent strange activity, a group or organization has banded together."

Ben smiled slightly as he looked at Kent. "Is that all? It's fine I took on multiple groups and organizations of villains in my world before. And with the Team backing me up, I don't see how this is too much of a problem."

Kent knew it wasn't just arrogance that gave Ben those thoughts, he smiled when he included the Team themselves in there, noting that he didn't just believe in himself but the others as well.

"All of these villains though are strong in their own right. And earlier I sensed multiple disturbances in the timeline, ones that almost match that of that purple villain you fought." Kent said and Ben's eyes immediately widened.

"Wait you think Eon and Vilgax are working with them?"

That could be bad…

"While it's a stretch to assume something like that, I wouldn't put past this new organization. You've shown yourself to be quite a threat, one of your villains took of some of League's powerhouses and you beat him. Not to mention all the other villains that you've taken down. For now on be cautious and alert the League and the Team that this could be a possibility." Kent said and Ben nodded.

"Oh man, this could not get any- AHHH!" Ben shouts even made Kent jump slightly as he frantically looked around trying to find what alerted Ben.

"What is it?!" Kent asked, his eyes still trying to find the danger.

"I didn't say it! It doesn't count! You hear me universe! THAT DOESN'T COUNT!" Ben said running to the exit of the tower leaving a very confused Kent Nelson.

Unfortunately for Ben…

It did count.

Mount Justice

As Ben came in through the zeta tubes he looked around at a huge mess, between the floor being soaked and burn marks everywhere he wondered what happened. Looking around desperately he quickly readied his Omnitrix before turning into XLR8.

After the jade-colored light dimmed the velociraptor-like alien sped through the different rooms of the mountain before finding his, Team.

Ben gasped at the dead-looking forms of his Team laying on the ground. He quickly checked their pulse and let out a breath he didn't know he was keeping in.

With one last look at the surrounding area to make sure no villains were there. Ben, still as XLR8, quickly zoomed back and forth from where his team was to the Main room where Batman deployed them on missions.

Unknown Location

Eon suddenly gripped his head in anger as he looked at the prison bars in front of him. Quickly getting up from the prison floor Eon marched over to the bars and grabbed them fiercely. And violet light erupted from his palms before the bars slowly started becoming rusty and chipping away parts of themselves, before finally aging into dust.

Eon jumped out of the cell in extreme anger but before he did anything he heard another person coming, their footsteps echoing through the hall.

"Your out? Good saves me the trouble of having to free you." The man that had previously taken him said, tossing the keys to the cell at Eon's feet. The man turned around and started to walk away before Eon teleported in front of him and grabbed his neck.

"Give me one reason I shouldn't age you into dust!" Eon spat venom with every word.

"Because you're going to want to see what's up ahead." Eon looked behind him before teleporting to the end of a hallway and seeing a door leading to another room.

Eon, hesitantly, opened it before looking in and saw 7 white screens facing his direction. He raised his brow for a moment before one of them talked.

"Hello, Eon was it? I assume you already met our associate, Sportsmaster." One of the screens said in a polite tone.

Eon, curiosity getting the better of him, walked into the room and looked at the screens. "What is this?!"

"We are the people that want to further human evolution, we are the Light and we wish to be rid of this shapeshifter that has given both our groups trouble." Eon instantly knew what the male voice was talking about. Ben Tennyson.

"What do you say, Eon. Do you wish to join the Light?" Eon grinned wide and nodded.

"You know what they say 'an enemy of an enemy is my friend'."
