In Cerulean Gym
"The world's greatest beauty, the tomboyish mermaid! Go, my steady!" Misty calls out the Gyarados from her pokeball. She then reveals her own Key Stone hanging on her hairband, Bonding with the Gyaradosite on Gyarados's forehead.
Before the battle begins, Clemont pulling out his tablet to monitor Squishy's condition.
"Strongly, Valiantly, Beautifully, My sweet blue heart! Mega Evolution!" Misty's Key Stone triggers the Mega Evolution of her Gyarados, turning it into a Mega Gyarados.
"Battle begin!" Brock said, as he raised his arm, both Pokemon had begin to charge towards each other.
"Squishy use dragon pulse!" Bonnie exclaimed as she began the battle. Squishy forms the multi colored energy from it's mouth and then shooting a multicolored dragon-shaped beam towards Mega Gyarados and slammed it pretty hard
"Nice one, Bonnie!" Clemont said
Serena: "You made it Bonnie!"
Ash: "Whoa. This looks like this will end fast"
"Psy!Psy!" (Misty is going to lose! oh no!)Psyduck went panic about Mega Gyarados begin slammed down that easily
"Quaxly!" (Psyduck calm down! It's too soon to say that!)
"Impressive, but it dosen't seems quite enough to defeat my Mega Gyarados at that point!" Misty says as Mega Gyarados quickly stand up.
"Gyarado use Flamethrower!" "Gyarados!" The flame had begin to charge from Mega Gyarado's mouth.
"Wait Flamethrower? Seriously?" Clemont said in surprise as Misty decided to use the Fire move to attack Squishy "But Squishy is the Ground/Dragon type Legandary Pokemon, and Flamethrower isn't going to be effective against it!"
"Squishy use Dragon Pulse once again!" Bonnie exclaimed as she commanded the same attack to slam against Mega Gyarado's Flamethrower, the explosion had caused the Gym inside covered with steam!
"*Cough* *Cough* That's intensitive!" Ash said
"Hahahahaha! My Squishy is invincible-" Bonnie believed that she had defeated Mega Gyarados in one shot just like her previous battle, until the smokescreen erupted, she the realized that Mega Gyarados had went missing!
"Where's Gyarados?" Bonnie reacts with horror. Suddenly, Gyarados appear in water!
Misty: "Rely too much on your Pokemon's strength won't help you to defeat my Mega Gyarados! Gyarados use hydro bump!"
"Squishy dodge!" Bonnie exclaimed, but Squishy were not able to dodge the direct hit from the Gyarado's hydro bump.
"I see, so Misty is not attack the Squishy using Flamethrower, but to generate enough heat to causes a tremendous steam to lower Squishy's sight..." Brock said
"...and then when the Flamethrower slammed Squishy's dragon pulse, Gyarados immediately dive into the water and preparing a surprise attack for Squishy!" Serena said
"Squishy use Dragon Pulse once again!" Bonnie exclaimed as she commanded the same attack to Mega Gyarados
"That's unfair! You just keep diving on the water!" Bonnie protested
"Aren't you're the one who use Legandaries for Gym battle..." Ash whispered
"Gyarados use whirlpool!" Mega Gyarados dodges Dragon Pulse then swims around Squishy quickly and creates a whirlpool causing Bonnie is completely dazed .
"Bonnie, what are you doing? Hurry and tell me what attack to use!" Squishy said to Bonnie telepathically.
"I don't know what to do..." Bonnie said to Squishy in a terrified manner " I don't actually know how to fight..."
"Fine then, I'll go by myself!" Squishy jump up to the ceilings to run away from Gyarados whirlpool, then shoots the Dragon Pulse towards Gyarados. Gyarados dodges, causing Dragon Pulse went outside the battlefield!
(Somewhere outside the Cerulean Gym)
Jessie, James, and Meowth are on the Meowth-shaped Hot air ballon like usual. James and Jessie were arguing about the popular character called Gotou from the anime called KEW (the Pokemon Universe version of Gojo from JJK)
"Gotou is still alive!" Jessie disagrees about Gotou's death "He had shared the same vessel with someone's body!"
"in your dream" James said while playing with his bottle cup "That guy will just destroy their vessel in that case, he's going to dead anyways"
"Emergacy! Someone had digged a hole on our ballon! We have to make a emergency landing!" Mewoth said
"Not again!" Jessie yelled in anger "I'm still in the half way of that anime!"
"We're the plaything of fate" James said "And that's why we should quit Team Rocket, get away as far as possible from the Twerps and starts a new life!" James said
"Can you just stop whining about your edgy cynic speech for once?!" Jessie was annoyed at James "Life sucks, and we all suffers from it, but we need to move on! "
"But Jess, did our life changes after we joined Team Rocket for many years?" James replied to Jessie in pain
"That's-" before Jessie can replies, she saw a Dragon Pulse broke out from Cerulean Gym and charging towards them.
"Uh oh... guess those Twerps had developed the abilities to detect our presence within 100m-" Mewoth said, as the Dragon Pulse send those unlucky trio to the sky once again
"That's unfair! We had been sent to the sky for 3 times in a row without doing anything!" Jessie couldnt do anything but yells angrily about that
"We're plaything of fate, the game piece of this world-" James continue to whining
"At least we don't get to deal with those Twerps this time" Mewoth said
"It looks like Team Rocket is blasting off again!"
"Wobbuffet!"
(Inside Cerulean Gym)
"Gyarados use Crunch!" Mega Gyadaros tightly bites Squishy. Squishy roars in pain as it couldn't able to break free itself.
"Impossible...my invincible Squishy... is going to...lose?!" Bonnie were utterly stupefied as she had never imagined that Squishy would ever in disadvantage against the weaker Pokemon.
"Gyarados!" (I must win this match! I have to stop my losing streak!)
"Squishy is getting weaker and weaker!" Clemont said as he Observed Squishy had weakening via his tablet.
"This doesn't look good at all. If that keep up Squishy might..." Serena worried
"Bonnie, you have to command Squishy to fight back!" Ash said
"But I don't know how to!" Bonnie replied in a dismayed manner as if she had lost any hope of winning. "Misty was right! I don't even know how to command my Pokemon, all I did is just Rely on Squishy's strength! "
"It's too soon to give up just yet!" Ash attempted to cheer up Bonnie "You can do this! All you need to do is to believe yourself and Squishy!" "Pikapika!" (That's exactly how I defeated her Mega Gyarados!)
"You're already came so far, you can't just give up now!" Serena also trying to cheer Bonnie up as well "Don't think too much, just listen to your instincts with your Pokemon!"
Bonnie attempted to listen Squishy's inner voice telepathically, she can clearly hear that Squishy were figuring how to blast Mega Gyarados away, but it can't. Bonnie had got an idea about how to free Squishy from Gyarado's crunch. Which means that if struggling isn't an option, then...
"Squishy, use Land's Wrath!" Bonnie exclaimed, as Squishy glows and causes beams of green light to emerge from the water surface, bouncing the Mega Gyarados away!
"It works!" Bonnie said
Misty's taking a deep breathing, attempted to calm down and focus on the this battle, all she wants now is to finish the battle as soon as possible "(in thoughts) What on earth is this little kid made of? It just bounce out everything my Mega Gyarados had thrown to it as if nothing happened! No, I should not give up just now, I have to defeat that thing to prove myself is better than those loser sisters!" Misty then told Gyarados to use the secret move that makes everyone surprised
"So you finally learned something other than spamming Dragon Pulse? Too bad there's still a long way to go if you wish to defeat me! Gyarados use Whirlpool, Raindance and Hurricane!" A rainstorm to appear inside the Gym, the gigantic Water tornado then formed around Squishy inside and dragging Squishy to underwater!
"Three...three move at the same time?!" Ash, Serena, Clemont and Brock were shocked to see the 3-move combination, something that even Ash himself have struggle to do.
"The raindance had greatly enhanced Gyarado's strength, which had eliminate the disadvantage of Gyarado's raw strength against that Zygrade. Still, using 3 moves at the same time can cause immense stress to the Pokemon!" Clemont said
"Pikapi!" Pikachu screams as that gigantic water tornado was about to pull Pikachu away "Pikachu no!" Ash attempted to save Pikachu from being pulled inside, but Ash had find himself begin to lose balance! At the same time, the walls had begin to cracks out of nowhere!
"I...I can't...move...!" Squishy said "That Gyarados had suddenly become much stronger!-Ugh! (groaning)"
"Gyarados!" (We originally developed against Ash's Pikachu, but we're yet to master it. You should be proud of yourself for pushing me that far to use this move!)
(Bonnie in thoughts) "So that Gyarados become stronger using that raining then, just how Squishy feels better from sunlight?"
"(Telepathically) Squishy, can you make the sunlight?" Bonnie said
"(Telepathically) Sunlight?... ugh! (groaning) ...But how?...ugh!(groaning)" Squishy said
"(Telepathically) All we need is to get some sunlight here without damaging the ceiling" Bonnie looks up the glass ceiling "I had seen someone used the pokemon to makes the weather sunny, not sure if you can able to do that"
"(Telepathically) I'll try-Ugh! (groaning)" Squishy cries towards the sky and releases a white beam of light to the sky, the bright sun appears on the top of glass ceiling. The sunlight clears the clouds and raining a double rainbow emerged inside the Gym. Since Squishy energy source is sunlight, Squishy had felt it's energy is back.
"Sylveon..." (This...is so...beautiful...)
"Dede...!" (Sunshine!)
(Telepathically) "Nice strategy, Bonnie! I never know that I can able to grab the sunlight ourselves, I feels much better now...!" Squishy said to Bonnie telepathically
"Whoa!" Ash, Serena, Clemont and Brock all yelled in unison as they never knew that Squishy could able to do that.
"Thats-" Ash said
"It's Sunny Day! Squishy had learned the new move!" Serena exclaimed happily
"I remembered where I seen it before..." Ash said
"It's a fire type move that will temporary raise the fire type move attack by turning the weather sunny, we had seen that in Sinnoh before, did you remember?" Brock said
"Squishy use Extreme speed!" Bonnie exclaimed, Squishy's body outlined in a light-green aura and escaped from Mega Gyarados's Water Tornado, then charges at the Mega Gyarados at blinding speed
"Gyarados use Hyper Beam!" Mega Gyarados shoots out a yellow-orange beam of energy that even larger than Water Pulse towards Squishy.
The two force between Squishy's Extreme Speed and Mega Gyarado's Hyper Beam clashes, causing battlefield tremble violently as if there was an earthquake. walls had begin to crack and the glasses are begin to shatters. At this moment, 3 girls with beautiful face had opened the door and was horrified to see what happened.
"What the heck is Misty doing with this Gym? " Violet said
"That's terrible! If that keep up our gym will be destroyed!" Lily said
"We should tell them to stop!" Violet said
When the dust was cleared, revealing the image of Squishy and Mega Gyarados. Squishy were standing still but Mega Gyarados falls over and revert back to it's base form.
"Gyarados is unable to battle! Squishy Wins!" Brock announced
"You made it, Bonnie!" Clemont cheers "Chesnaught!"
"Now Misty just had only one Pokemon left!" Serena said in gratified tone "Sylveon!"
"You did great, Gyarados. Now take a nice rest." Misty put Gyrados back in his Pokeball and switch to the Pokeball that contains Togekiss.
"Go Togekiss!"
"Owww your togekiss is really cute! Too bad what can it do against my strongest squishy?" Bonnie smugs
"Oh no...the opponent is Fairy type pokemon, Squishy isn't going to stand a chance against it unless it learned that move..." Clemont worried "Bonnie, you have to change your pokemon!"
"Nah, if I can beat her Mega Gyarados, I can do the same to that poor Togekiss!" Bonnie said
"Togekiss use Dazzling Gleam!" "Togekiss!" Misty makes the first move in the second round
"Squishy use dragon pulse!"
"Don't do this Bonnie-" Clemont tried to warn Bonnie not to use Dragon pulse, but too late
Togekiss releases a bright, sparkling light from its body then flies through Squishy's dragon pulse and strikes Squishy hard like nothing happened.
"It can't be!" Bonnie exclaimed how it's Dragon pulse dosen't even slow Togekiss down a little bit.
"Togekiss is fairy and flying type Pokemon, so the dragon type move is useless against it!" Clemont explained
"In that case...Squishy use extreme speed!"
"Togekiss use Sky Attack! Don't let it catch it's breath!"
Both Pokemon charged towards each other, with Togekiss covers itself with white/blue-ish energy, and Squishy leaving a green trail of energy behind it. Bonnie desperately commands Squishy counter-attack to keep up against Togekiss but still struggles to make any headway against the former Mirage Kingdom Guardian.
"Ugh you're even tougher than that Gyarados!" Squishy said
"Squishy do you have any move you can use?"
"I think I have one idea, but it'll need to take some time" Squishy said
"Okay Squishy! Use this-"
"Togekiss use Tri-Attack!"
Squishy it's body begin to glow light green and attempted to releases something, but was interrupted as Togekiss hits Squishy's neck. Togekiss then released the orb of yellow electric energy, light blue ice energy, and orange fire energy from it's mouth. Squishy managed to dodge the yellow lighting and orange fire energy, but the light blue ice energy eventally hits Squishy, causing Squishy's lower half body frozen. "Squishy no!" Bonnie yelled in worry as Squishy couldn't able to move.
"Had enough? You'll need some more experience if you want to win..." Misty said to Bonnie "Togekiss use Tri-beam one more time!"
Togekiss countine to fire the 3 colored energy towards the defenseless Squishy, causing it groan in pain.
"Wait" Bonnie noticed that one of the Zygrade cell had been breaking off by Togekiss's attack "I see what I need to do now! Squishy revert to 10% form before use your new idea again!" Squishy released some Zygrade cell, transforms and shrunking into the smaller Dog-like 10% form, which made it able to escape. Squishy's neck glow light green once again and summons hundreds of arrow-like rays blasted out of the green ball and targeting Togekiss.
"Yes! Squishy can use that move, it's going to win!" Clemont said
"But it's still ground type move anyways" Brock said
"It's a ground type move that will damage the Flying type as long as they're ungrounded" Clemont explained
"Togekiss dodge!"
Togekiss attempted to dodge several arrow-like rays, but one of them eventally managed to hit Togekiss and managed, and the rest also hitting Togekiss at full force. Togekiss then falls into the ground and it's eyes become spirals.
"Gyarados is unable to battle! Squishy Wins!" Brock announced
"Yay!" Bonnie excited as she wins the hard battle
"Here you go. The Cascade Badge. A Proof of your victory at the Cerulean City Gym" Misty said
"I made it! I made it!"
While everyone celebrating Bonnie's victory, Misty went away and pulled the terminal button, the light closes and the gate are closing
"Misty?" Ash said
"I'm going to close this gym...forever" Misty said
Daisy, Lily and Violet enters the room "Misty, what are you doing?"
"I'm going to get rid of this gym forever" Misty responds to her sisters in a calm, yet dismissive tone.
"Misty? I thought we told you to take care of our Gym?" Violet said "Why did you went to Alto Mare?"
"I'm the one who suggested her to go to Alto Mare so that she can have some moment to relax" Brock said "Can't you see how selfish for your ignorance how much effort Misty put for your Gym?"
"I tried! I said many times that I couldn't able to run this gym with only myself and you didn't listen!"
Sensational Sisters attempted to approach Misty, but Misty's Azumarill and Politoed begins to attacks them.
"Misty, please, we just wanna help-"
"If you want to help, then leave me alone! All you want is only imprison me in this living hell so that you can go anywhere as much as you want!"
"Why her Pokemon were attacking her sisters without command?" Serena gasped
"It's looks like Misty's Pokemon resonates with her hatred towards her sister!" Clemont said in horror
Pikachu, Greninja and Meganium helds Misty's Pokemon to prevents them from hurting her sisters
"Pikapika!" (You all calm down!)
"Gren!" (Open your eyes! You know you don't want to do that!)
"Quax!" (Get in our way and you get no mercy!)
"Misty you have to tell your Pokemon to stop! They're your sister!" Ash said
"My sister? I don't remember I have a sister who never valued me!"
"They must have their own reasons! Maybe they know you're the competent Gym leader who can take care of this gym or something-"
"They believes in me? This is what makes them become irresponsible and makes me suffer in this Gym alone! You understand nothing the pain that I went through, and you expecting me to believes their lies?"
"Ash, you're going too hard for her!" Serena said
"I can see why your Misty hates you" Bonnie begin to snarks "You three are nothing but a stupid garbage who can't even take care of their own sisters, because you never cares about your sister but your own Gym!" Bonnie walk towards Misty's sisters "Why not just let me to teach you how to keep my brother so that you'll able to take care your sister- Whoa!"
"Not gonna happen!" Clemont drags Bonnie once again with his Aipom Arm before she have chance to embarrass him
"But brother, the fact is that they dosen't even know how to keep their sisters isn't it?"
Clemont sliented as he find that Bonnie did have a point
Violet, Lily and Daisy are stunned at how they would even got Lectured by a merely little girl. Meanwhile, Ash's body begin to twich
"Ash! Are you alright?" Serena said in worry
"I can't move...It happens again...uhhh!" Ash's eyes turns Indigo once again just like during Oak's lab.
When Ash regained his conscious, he saw that his vision is now in a Aquarium nearby, but the Aquarium dosen't looks disrepair.
"Is that...Misty's past?"
He can see a slightly younger Misty that covered with sweats, and coffee cups all over the floor. A young Misty and her Gyarados were cleaning the exterior of the aquarium window, and Misty were fell off due to the exhaustion.
"Roar!" (Misty, you have to take a break, you haven't been sleep for 4 days!)
"I can't... I still haven't replace the tank water yet..." young Misty said as she drink another cup of coffee.
As he continued to focus on young Misty, he could see that young Misty's face not only looks pretty sullen, but there's noticeable dark spots under her eyes. Ash might be the dense shell who have no concept of girlfriend and anything outside Pokemon and food, but he can still aware that young Misty is very exhausted
"I don't know that being Gym leader isn't easy..."
Suddenly, a aquarium window behind young Misty begin to crack.
"Misty watch out!"
Ash attempted to push young Misty away, but his body phase through her. When Young Misty turned around, the window cracks and the piece of broken glass bruises her left arm, causing her left arm begin to bleed. This scene is far from the glorious image of gym leader Ash had imagined
"Why? Why this Gym is so hard to run?" Poor young Misty can do nothing but frustrate about her powerless and helpless.
Ash had find that his vision had been changed to the Pokemon Center, he can able to see a young Misty were sitting and young Brock is checking several Misty's Pokemon. A young happy to confirm that it would be released as soon as it woke up
"...never know that you're as busy as me" young Brock said
"At least I don't have the multiple jobs unlike you. I'm still wondering how you managed to survive from the pressure of running your Gym and Pokemon Doctor at the same time"
"Otherwise how would I become Pokemon Doctor?" young Brock nodded "Don't think too much, you and your Pokemon need to take a break"
"I can't! I'm still in the middle of Gym maintenance!"
"Uh... is your sisters still there?"
"Not anymore! They've still travelling around the world for half years. I tried to call them for help many times but to no avail-"
"Dr. Brock, there's another patient incoming!" Nurse Joy opened the door
"I'm sorry I have to go now. Here's my suggestion: ...(blush) Uhhhhh don't worry I'm comin (jobbed)- Ouch!" young Brock attempted to flirt Nurse Joy like always, and Misty grabs Brock's shoulder, giving Croagunk a chance to jobs him
"Yet you still can't quit that bad habit" young Misty said
"but Nurse Joy is so cute like always...I can't just..." young Brock got dragged by Croagunk
Brock's Antic does not make Misty feels better. Since the last time Ash separated with Misty and absence of her sisters, Brock becomes the only person who can helps her. Unfortunately as Brock becomes the Pokemon Doctor, he dosen't have time to solve Misty's issues anymore
"Brock haven't changed a little bit" Ash thought things would get better afterwards, until his vision suddenly changed once again. This time he's in the Misty's room that looks rather damaged . He can saw Misty is making a make phone calls to sensational sisters once again to complain at their irresponsible decision, and he can hear the dialogue between Misty and her sisters
Misty: "Daisy, Violet, Lily... I can't operate the Cerulean Gym alone-"
Violet: "Misty, thank you for taking are of our gym, I'll let you take over our Gym...forever"
Misty: "You... you're joking right?!"
Lily: "Of course not! Ever since you operate our Gym our life had become much better. Without your effort, we won't even able to travel anywhere! Keep up with your good work, see ya"
". I thought we're- " Misty got hanged up before she could finish her sentence. Her pokedex phone dropped to the floor, her head went slightly lower and her eyes turns dull.
Now Ash had finally understand about the truth of why Misty would hate her sisters that much:
Suddenly, Ash vision had back to normal. He can see Serena were shaking his body so hard.
Back to the real world
"I'm back- owwwww that's hurts-"
"Thanks Arceus...you're alright...!" Serena whimpered.
Ash can see that Daisy, Lily and Violet looks very upset.
"I can't believes that you would ever negate your sister like that all along!" Ash said firmly towards Daisy, Lily and Violet
"Did you ever consider that ever since you went to travel around the world, Misty had almost spent her whole life to operate this Gym? Did you even care to consider that it's far beyond her abilities to operate the Gym that requires 4 person by herself alone? Did you even aware how much suffering and pain she underwent both physically and mentally just to operate this gym alone? And what you do when she needs your help? Told her to suffer forever only because you don't want to take responsibility to take care of your Gym!"
Everyone went silence for a long while .
"I'm sorry Misty...I just wanted you to become the best Gym leader, but I didn't realized that I had hurted you so much..." Daisy hugs Misty tightly
"Daisy..."
"Absol!" Absol noticed that the ceilings is begin to crack
"Absol!" (This place is going to collapse, we have to leave right now!)
"The ceiling is going to fell, we have to leave now!" Misty told everyone, as everyone took their Pokemon back to their pokeball and leaving the battlefield room, but Daisy throws Misty out of the exit before the falling pieces of the ceilings traps Daisy, Violet and Lily inside
"Daisy! Violet! Lily!" Misty screamed
"Sorry Misty...I don't think I deserves any forgiveness...after what we did to us..." Daisy "This is the only thing I can do for now...my lovely little sister..."
"Ash is right...We're nothing more than a coward that refuse to take responsibility" Violet said "And in the end, we still couldn't do anything to amend the things we have done to you, we're worthless. But you're still young, you can start a happy new life with your new friends..."
"Looks like this is a fitting end for us after the things we did to you..." Lily said
Misty's bit her lip. Her hatred towards her sisters had replaced with the awful feelings. But when she turned back her head, the falling piece of ceiling had completely blocked the exit.
Outside Cerulean Gym
Everyone but Misty's sisters managed to head out of Cerulean Gym, everyone sighs as they looking back the semi-Dilapidated Cerulean Gym, this is far from pretty especially for Misty, who feels devastated and suffering from increasing feelings of guilt and confusing because she felt that she's somehow caused this happen by her "wish" to be free and get rid of her sister.
Is her sister selfish and irresponsible? Is that her sister's fault that can't be solved by simple apology? Did Misty deserved to be free? Is that something that can be prevented if her sister willing to take more responsibility? Absolutely. Without question. Misty thought. But as insensitive, stupid and irresponsible her sister are, they still loves her in the end.
"Did I just...killed my sister...because of my wish?" Misty said in remorse
"It's okay, it's okay," Serena said softly, gently "It's not your fault, Your sister will be fine, let's go inside your Gym to save your sisters-"
There 3 silhouette came out from the Gym
"What's that?" Clemont said
Ash stared it, his eyes slowly widen "It...can't be...It's them!"
The 2 silhouette coming into the light and revealing themselves, it was Butterfree, Garchomp and Primeape who carries Daisy, Lily and Violet on their shoulders.
"Wait did Ash ever had Garchomp before...?" Brock wondered "It's can't be...!"
"Butterfree...Gible...Primeape...it's really you...!" "Pikapika!" Ash and Pikachu said with watery eyes as he slowly held his hands out. "I missed you so much...!" "Pikapika!"
"Butterfree!"
"Garchomp!"
"Primeape!"
"Gible...did you just evolved?" Ash regonized that Garchomp is his Gible
"Garchomp!" Garchomp bites Ash's head
"What's going on Ash? Are those are your pokemon?" Serena asked.
"Yes. This is butterfree, it was the very first Pokemon I caught..."
Ash introduced themselves his old friend to everyone.
"Butterfree!" (Ash, is that blonde your girlfriend-) Delphox pointing her magic wand to Butterfree to silence him
"Del!" (Shh! Don't say it out loud!)
"(Blush) Meganium!" (What did you said?)
"Thank you for saving my sister" Misty thanks butterfree, Garchomp and Primeape saved her sisters.
"But anyways Garchomp...aren't you supposed to be in Professor Oak's Lab?" Brock asked
"Garchomp!" (The Oak's Lab is so boring, so I runaway and take a walk, then I heard there's a loud bang nearby-Ouch!)
