AndrewEMack: Yeah… you can understand where he is coming from. Especially with someone like Ben around, but that doesn't mean the characters have any less of a reason to be angry with him.

Shriramasokan: I maybe introduce all of them at some point or another Rook would be fun, in fact I kind of regretted not adding him from the begging but I don't think he will show up unfortunately but you never know things change.
Djberneman: Ben probably would only tell the Team about any fail safes. He understands Batman's failsafe idea but that doesn't mean he will help out with it.
Savageverse: Yeah, I changed that, and I only did it at first to make fun of Fasttrack because he was a speed alien and yet couldn't catch someone right in front of him.
Reader: I like Batman but it is always satisfying when someone tells him off.
CMdkelley: I already said he had to avoid using powerful aliens, like Upgrade, because Amazo could copy them. And if Amazo copied Upgrade, Amazo would be able to counteract Upgrade's upgrade since he is also made out of biomechanical DNA, or even worse Amazo gets with the Omnitrix's and downgrades it or maybe pull a Malware and downloads the Omnitrix. Ben doesn't know if the Omnitrix has a failsafe for this and I'm sure Ben wouldn't want to find out the hard way.

Ben raises his arm blocking a kick. He grabs the leg tossing Robin to the side. Robin twists around landing on his feet. Kaldur charges forward unleashing three quick punches that are all dodged with ease before Ben goes for a leg sweep. Jumping over the leg sweep, Kaldur lands a safe distance away to reevaluate his plan of attack. Ben grabs Robin's arm and tries to knee his gut but the Boy of Wonder dodges it and then tries to attack Kaldur with him dodging his attack as well. Captain Marvel and Zatara both look over the training, smiling as they see all three were improving greatly.
A giggling sound makes all three of them turn. Megan and Artemis are walking by the training area talking about something. The training simulation deactivates and Ben wipes a bit of sweat from his face and then goes back to his desk to finish a project he was working on.
Robin sent a knowing smirk to Kaldur, "You know the two have a crush on him right?" Robin said looking over to Ben.
"They don't hide it too well." Kaldur comments amused.
"You think we should tell him?" Robin asks seeing Ben turning into the form he recognizes as Grey Matter and putting together a new device.
"Let him figure it out. Although for as smart as Ben can be sometimes, it is quite surprising he is so…"
"Dense?" Robin laughs and Kaldur smiled. Kid Flash, Superboy, and Wolf then enter the room with Wally walking up to the two.
"Isn't Zatara our babysitter this week so why is he here?" Wally looks at Captain Marvel. "And he is eating my snacks!"
"Recognized B02, Batman."
Immediately Ben's mood soured at hearing the computer say that particular hero's name. He wasn't going to be unprofessional and start acting like a child when Batman was around but that didn't mean he had to be comfortable with his presence either.
Batman teleports into the cave in a flash of light. "Computer national news," orders the Dark Knight. A screen opens up revealing live video footage of a large plant attacking Metropolis. Superman, Hawkwoman, Hawkman, and Martian Manhunter are battling the plant creature while trying to protect the citizens of Metropolis.
"This plant creature appeared thirty minutes ago and even the combined effort of the Justice League has yet to be able to stop it! Citizens are being urged to evacuate as the plant continues to cause more destruction."
"So are we heading out there?" smirks Robin.
"No, the League will soon have the situation under control. That is not the reason I am here. According to your intel, Sportsmaster supplied Cadmus Blockbuster formula to Cobra."
"Which they combined with Bane's venom," Wally added
Robin frowns, "And even though we confiscated the entire shipment the Brain somehow managed to get his hands on it and use it to create a genetically enhanced army of super animals."
Kaldur gains a pensive expression. "How did Brain get his... 'hands' on the formula? Did any of the shipment get stolen?"
"All vials are safe aboard the Watchtower except one that is at Wayne Tech under heavy guard and constantly being analyzed for a cure," answers Batman. "We have to assume that Sportsmaster supplied others with the Blockbuster formula."
Superboy rubs Wolf's head. "It wasn't all that bad, we got Wolf here."
They then hear a squeaky voice give a scoff and everyone looked over at Grey Matter. "Oh please, it is obvious what has been happening here." Grey Matter states as he continues working on his device.
Batman narrowed his eyes. "What do you mean?"
"You all are being too short-sighted, the bad guys aren't staying by themselves anymore and doing one-off heists they have grouped together and have made a League of their own." Everyone's eyes widened at him saying that. Batman seemed the most curious as he told him to continue. "Cadmus creating clones and trying to make an army while also making a formula to make people stronger, a deal to sell the same formula and to combine with another to create an even more powerful one, a group of assassins trying to create a weapon to gather information, other assassins knowing about our missions that they weren't there for, collars used in prisons to control even meta's, people creating an army of mutated animals. Sure all of this sounds like different events with coincidences mixed in but when you stop to think about it it's clear. The Team and League haven't been fighting multiple enemies, but a united League of villains that are trying to take down the heroes."
Everyone fell into silence. As they thought about the current events
A holographic keyboard appears in front of Batman. "I had Green Lantern run a spot analysis on the plant. It contains traces of a Cobra-Venom variant in its DNA." Images of the cells appear in front of Batman.
"So Sportsmaster isn't just supplying the formula to the highest bidder," Robin states.
"But he's supplying it to his partners." Kid Flash continues. "So what is this their final assault to try and take over the world?"
Grey Matter narrowed his eyes at that. Why would they attack now? Every other attack or operation they stopped was for a reason but what could be the reason for randomly attacking cities?
Static suddenly fills all the screens.
"Dude!"
"It isn't me," frowns Robin. "Someone is cutting the feed. All satellite feeds."
Suddenly, an image of someone Ben found all too familiar appears on the screen. Ben growled as he saw the Joker smiling widely as he taps on the screen. "Ladies and Gentlemen, we interrupt your regularly scheduled mayhem to bring you this important announcement from the Injustice League." Joker's laughter fills the room as the camera turns to focus on six other criminals and supervillains. The tall handsome man in a green suit with a matching cape begins to speak in a dignified tone.
"We are the ones responsible for the attacks on your cities. If you wish to save them a ransom of 10 billion American dollars is required. A note has been sent to the United Nation…there is no time limit, but the longer your governments wait…"
The screen is turned back to Joker. "The more we get to have our jollies," Joker bursts out laughing as the screen turns to static.
Batman lifts a hand to his communication. "Roger that Aquaman prepare the ransom as a fallback, but it won't come to that."
Robin rewinds the recorded broadcast to reveal the members of the Injustice League. "Joker, Count Vertigo, Poison Ivy, Atomic Skull, Wotan, Ultra Humanite, and Black Adam are seven heavy hitters. All working together and probably behind every single event we faced so far."
"There is your Secret Society," says Artemis to Ben which makes him hum in thought.
"Not so secret anymore," states Wally.
"Exactly, which makes it all the weirder."
"After India, they must have known we were close to finding out their secret so saw no point in hiding any further," says Kaldur.
"Could be, but strategically it makes no sense, we would have no idea about any of their locations or identities. Somethings wrong here." Grey Matter said before jumping off his desk and turning back to Ben. "So what's the game plan?"
Batman answered next. "The Justice League will handle the plants."
Wally groans, he was hoping to work side by side with the League "aww man." Artemis punches his arm making him wince.
"With the plants attacking simultaneous locations at once there must be a central control system. Your mission is to destroy it," orders Batman.
Zatara steps forward not believing that Batman would assign such a dangerous mission. "You realize what you are asking them to do."
"They are ready," replies Batman.
"Ready? Ready for what?" Artemis punches Wally a second time. "Ow! Will you stop doing that?"
"Hello, Wally! If the Big Guns are fighting plants, who do you think we will be fighting?" glares Artemis.
"I don't know, I guess we…" Artemis points at the screen showing the Injustice League. Wally's eyes widen as the realization hits him. "Oh…"
"I will trust you know what you are doing," says Zatara.
Batman looks at Zatara. "I trust you can find the enemy."
"Indeed, Wotan's involvement suggests sorcery as a part of how the plant is controlled. Robin, if you will produce a holographic map of the globe."
Robin strikes a few keys making a holographic image of Earth appear. Zatara steps forward raising his hands. The magician begins to incant a spell in an ancient language.
The globe stops spinning and a red dot appears in southern North America. "There, that is where you will find the Injustice League's central control system," says Zatara.
"Coordinates locked in. The Louisiana, Bayou," reads Robin.
"We are on our way," orders Aqualad.
The Team heads towards the hangar. But before they do Ben grabs something from his desk and puts it into a duffle bag and brings that as well with him.

The entire team is riding on the Bio-ship in silence. Robin is double-checking all his gear. Wally is eating a banana in an attempt to eat away his nervousness. Artemis is tapping her foot also in nervousness. Kaldur is barely blinking as he stares out the window. Superboy is petting Wolf's head. Miss Martian also seemed nervous but the flying seemed to be taking her mind off it.
Only one member of the team is calm, Ben. Ben is sitting in his seat staring up at the ceiling of the ship. With one hand holding the duffle bag and the other above his head as if he was examining his Omnitrix.
"What is in the bag?" Wally's voice rings out through the ship. Their eyes travel toward the duffle bag next to Ben.
Ben smirks and holds it up. "Something I've been working on."
Suddenly the entire ship shook as an explosion rang through their ears. Suddenly the Bio-ship started falling and shot straight into a small lake.
The Team all groaned collectively and all looked at Miss Martian. "What happened?" Artemis asked.
The Team got their answer as another explosion rang from above them and the roof of the ship burst open.
"We meet again, Tennyson!" Ben's skin crawled as he heard the voice of his old enemy. He turned to what was once the roof of the ship to now see the sky and Vilgax in a yellow and black suit with a yellow ring on his finger.
"Vilgax, your working with the Injustice League?" Ben asked putting his Omnitrix on his shoe and slowly turning the dial while his right hand grabbed the duffle bag to his right.
"Yes, we have found something in common," Vilgax states as the villain Black Adam flew beside him. "We all want you children dead." As he says this Black Adam charges at the Team but Superboy was quick to retaliate and punched Adam in the face sending him flying back. Ben slams the watch on the floor while Vilgax fires a laser from his ring to which Artemis countered with an exploding arrow that collided with the laser and exploded on impact.
"Chromastone!" Ben shouted flying up into the air and grabbing Vilgax. The rest of the Team jumped out of the ship as large vines wrap around the ship. The team swims towards the shore before surfacing. Miss Martian watches as her ship is pulled underneath the water.
'She is in shock. It will take time for her to recover,' she says to everyone through the mental link.
A psychic wave strikes the team, making them all fall to their knees. "Vertigo," groans Kid.
The villain walks towards the fallen team looking at them as if they are bugs. "That is Count Vertigo too, you peasant."
Superboy stands up charging at Vertigo, but a black blur smashes a fist straight into his face. One punch and Superboy is knocked out cold. Black Adam stands over the clone showing no emotion. 'Robin, Miss Martian vanish into the trees, Aqualad, Artemis, Superboy, Kid hold off the others for as long as you can!' Ben's voice rings in their heads. 'I help you all out as soon as I can.' Orders Ben.
Vilgax and Ben shot into the air a blur of yellow and purple light colliding with each other was seen throughout the sky. Yellow lasers shot from Vilgax's ring and Chromastone absorbed every blast, while Chromastone also shot some blasts of rainbow-colored energy that dodged Vilgax.
"Vilgax, like the suit, the bumblebee look works for you," Ben commented as he dodged a few lasers before sending one of his own. Vilgax dodged the attack and narrowed his eyes.
"Foolish boy, you maybe have the most powerful device in our Universe but I have the most powerful device in this one," Vilgax stated aiming the ring at the hero who raised his eyes in confusion.
"What are you talking about, I have a couple of friends that say they have the most powerful device in the universe and it's called…" He then looked at Vilgax's fist and saw a yellow power ring. "That's a power ring isn't it…"
Instead of offering a response Vilgax merely smirked and shot another laser from his ring. Ben dodged the laser and collide with the alien in the air. "So what?! You think that now that you got some bling you can beat me?!" Ben said shooting a large blast from his hands that collided with Vilgax's chest that sent him hurtling towards the ground and he crashed down into the forest below.
Vilgax growled as he got to his feet and looked at the boy with narrowed eyes. "It really isn't your lucky day Vilgy, I've already had multiple spars with two people that used those rings way more effectively than you are using it now. I may not know how it works but I know its weaknesses."
Vilgax charged towards Ben, surprising the hero as a punch was delivered into his jaw and then another to his gut before Vilgax brought his two fists together and slammed them into Chromastone's head, sending Ben into the forest and colliding with multiple trees.
"You have forgotten child, how powerful I am, it is not my abilities that make me powerful it is ME!" Vilgax states slowly lowering himself to the dust and dirt pile that kicked up from Chromastone slamming into the ground.
"Haha!" A dark chuckle was heard from the ruble that made even Vilgax pause. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!" Vilgax felt his skin crawl as the dark laughter came from Ben. He almost sounded like… like… HIM!
'Oh no,' Vilgax said looking at his hand as it started to shake. "W-WHAT IS SO FUNNY!?" Vilgax's shouts almost sounded like desperate pleas.
As he shouted into the air Chromastone rose from the ground and looked at Vilgax with a big grin. The duffle bag still on his back looked unharmed even after the whole battle they went through. "It's funny you say that, 'your the one that makes your abilities strong'. When you're holding back all the potential of that ring of yours."
Vilgax's eyes widened and then glared at Ben. "What are you talking about!?"
"My friends that I spared with told me a little about the rings. One thing they told me about it was that it could create almost anything, whether you lack imagination or not being the only drawback, the device is quite powerful but it is clear that suffer immensely from that drawback making your ring useless." Ben started glaring daggers at Vilgax, to which Vilgax did a double take at the ring and then at Ben.
"I was told this, but how does that affect me?!" Vilgax asked, he knew the ring depended on imagination so why was he saying that was some sort of drawback for him especially?
"Think back, all those years ago, you wanted to take over the universe and you knew the only way to do that was to take my Omnitrix, but you just wanted to replicate it. Me? I would be able to take down an entire planet with ease with just one of my aliens, using there abilities in ways not even thought of. Meanwhile, you need an entire army do shit for you, because your not clever enough to see past the surface of one species abilities and powers. You then change it to wanting revenge against me, and the only way you could do so was by getting items and powers, which I'm certain you stole. My point is your ideas and plans have always been so one note. That's why you can't use the power ring to its full potential you lack the imagination to do so."
Vilgax stared in shock at Ben before gritting his teeth and then in one loud roar charged at him. His fist collided with Chromastone's hand, he then reeled back his other fist and that too was caught by Chromastone.
"Think of this entire battle, Vilgy!" Vilgax's face was very close to Ben's own and seeing his grin did not help his confidence in the slightest. "All just a bunch of lasers no saws, no swords, no axes like the Green Lanterns do. Instead, you're just doing, what I'm assuming is, the easiest thing to do with that ring. Shoot a fucking laser!"
Vilgax roars out a yell as he slams his face into Chromastone's skull which actually seemed to hurt him, but Chromastone brought his face back up to Vilgax's and shot a laser from his eye sending Vilgax tumbling back.
In a flash of green light, Chromastone changed into Upgrade, abandoning the duffle bag on the ground as he morphed into the ring. The ring let out a beeping noise before lightning sparked off it. Vilgax looked at the ring in worry but before he could do anything the ring exploded off his finger and Upgrade was sent tumbling out. In another flash of green light, Upgrade was replaced with an alien that seemed to be in a dark green-teal oven-like containment suit, with three slits on the head part.
"Well, would you look at that," The new alien with a Russian accent said walking towards Vilgax as Vilgax backed away from the boy. "It seems you lost, again!"
Vilgax growled and cocked his fist back but before the alien named NRG blasted him with radiation energy coming out of the three slits on the headpiece of the armor.
Quickly Ben changed again to Big Chill freezing Vilgax to the ground, grabbing the duffle bag, and taking off hoping to find his Team.
While flying Big Chill saw a yellow cage containing the rest of his Team. He quickly cloaks himself and zooms right through Wotan freezing him solid and sending him into a small lake nearby while also dropping everyone inside and on top of the cell. Big Chill quickly flew to them making sure they landed safely.
'M'gann are you there!' Ben called out in his mind.
'Yeah, I can hear you.' M'gann responded trying to avoid the plant's guarding the tower.
'Tell Robin to throw the Fusion Disk I gave him.' Ben said as he was freezing a couple of plants that tried to latch onto him.
'You said to only use that in extreme situations!' Robin's voice echoed in his mind
'AND THIS IS?!' The entire team screamed in thought.
'Point…' Robin then pulls out a disk that looks fairly similar to his regular ones except it had a blue outline and lights. He then threw the disk at the tower and in a second the entire tower started to explode before completely evaporating.
Kid Flash looks at the space that was once the tower in shock. 'What the hell was that?!'
'Nuclear Fusion Grenade put into one of Robin's disks.' Ben states simply as he lands near Aqualad and Artemis as they find out they lack their weapons.
'You so need to get me more of those!' Robin practically begged and Big Chill smirked.
'I'll see what I can do.' Big Chill then unzipped the duffle bag and took out everything in it. It was a rather large bag so it could have almost anything in it, the Team, however, was not expecting there to be a bow and quiver that he tossed to Artemis and a new set of twin hilts to Aqualad. Big Chill then around the area dropping the contents of the bag to Superboy who got a weird-looking watch while he gave Robin a new utility belt.
'What's this?!' The 4 team members asked surprised.
'New weapons, Christmas came early for ya boy's and girl's better enjoy it while you can.' Big Chill stated with a smirk.
Artemis looked at the bow and quiver and shrugged before putting the quiver on and looking towards Poison Ivy as she raised her plants into the sky and sent them hurling toward Artemis. Artemis took a random arrow out of the quiver and shot it at the plants. The arrow made a screeching noise before a sonic blast erupted from the arrow that obliterated the plants.
Artemis smiled in approval before pulling back another arrow and sending it at Poison Ivy. The plant woman's eyes widened in fear before she tried to run away the arrow landed right next to her and sent an electric purple blast through her body taking her to her knees and coughing up smoke.
Wotan at that moment rose from the lake, being freed from the ice, and looked to Aqualad and growled. "I will kill you, Atlantian!"
"You can try!" Aqualad got his Water-Bearers ready but what happened next surprised him the two ends of the hilts forced themselves together while water formed on both ends making a double-sided sword. Aqualad smiled as he spun his weapon and charged at Wotan.
Wotan a little amused with the Atlatians' attempt to beat him formed a yellow energy sword. The two weapons clashed, Aqualad spinning his double-sided sword hitting Wotan's over and over before Aqualad landed a hit which took away Wotan's amusement as he went for the kill with his sword but it was stopped by Aqualad, he then sent a blast of electricity through his sword which went straight to Wotan who immediately felt the effects of the electricity coursing through him. Aqualad immediately followed that up with a punch to Wotan's gut and then a spin kick to the face.
'Ok, I could defiantly get used to this.' Aqualad said looking at the hilts.
Superboy was now fighting Ultra-Humanite with Wolf, he looked at the watch and called out in his mind. 'What's up with the watch?'
Big Chill transformed into Humungousaur and backhanded Black Adam. 'I looked through the file of Kryptonian physiology and found you guys absorb sunlight which is connected to your powers. Tap the face of the watch and it will immediately send a burst of sunlight radiation through your system!'
'When did you have time to make this stuff!?' Kid Flash cried out as he dodged Vertigo's attempt to hit him.
'I had a weekend,' He commented nonchalantly punching Black Adam in the face.
Superboy immediately activated the watch and felt a surge of power run through his body. A golden glow shined off his body making the giant and ape and wolf look at him in confusion. Superboy smirked as he jumped off the ground and slammed his fist into the ape's face which sent him flying back into the forest.
Superboy smiled bigger as he realized that punch must have been somewhere near Superman's. Wolf then made a noise that sounded like a howl of excitement. Superboy looked down and saw why. He hadn't touched the ground yet. The boy that seemed so close off from his emotions felt like he was about to cry.
He was flying.
The Team took a quick second to look at him and smiled as they saw his excitement at being able to fly.
Robin dodged a blast from Atomic Skull and dodged a swinging knife from Joker, he then took out 3 new throwing disks from his new utility belt and threw it at the two, one sent out a sonic blast much like Artemis's arrow blasted the two back, the second then the froze the muddy water below them freezing them in place before the last one sent an explosion that blasted them both back.
'Ok,' Robin says with a giant smirk. 'I am officially whelmed!'
'Where's me and Ms. M's cool new toys!' Kid Flash wined as he ripped a part of Count Vertigo's cape off.
'What, did you want new running shoes, I'll give M'gann a helmet to help with her psychic abilities. I was running out of ideas damn it!' Ben cried as Adam was then sent flying by Superboy.
'It's fine, for right now, I'm doing fine.' M'gann said trying to reassure him as she sent a psychic blast at Wotan sending him staggering back and letting Aqualad get a free hit on him.
"TENNYSON!" The shout makes the entire team look towards the sky only for a dust cloud to block their vision as something crashed into the ground next to them.
Vilgax growled shooting lasers out of his eyes right as Superboy, which sent him flying back but he got saved by Humungousaur catching him.
Wolf, Robin, Artemis, Aqualad, Miss Martian, and Kid Flash all sided by Ben and Superboy.
The villains all stood side by side staring down at the heroes and the heroes did the same.
"Alright, let's end!" Superboy said punching his hand into his fist.
"One final push should, let's do it!" Robin states and tries to run forward but Ben blocks him.
'No, we can't get careless now, everyone help each other, don't let a single one of them get a leg up on another, you see a friend start to lose or even about to get punched help them. Now let's go!"
"Right!" Both sides yelled and screamed as they charged at one another. Ben and Vilgax both led the teams they were on.
"It's Hero Time!"
Both sides colliding made the landscape shake as the villains and heroes caused several explosions throughout the area.
Humungousaur and Vilgax's fists clashed together creating shockwaves that shook the area, Aqualad and Wotan battled once again, Wolf and Ultra-Humanite were also fighting, along with Artemis and Poison Ivy, Kid Flash was holding off Count Vertigo, Miss Martian was defending against Atomic Skull, Robin the Joker and Superboy were beating Black Adam.
Black Adam and Superboy both flew in the air exchanging blows before Adam grabbed Superboy by his neck with two hands trying to crush his throat. Superboy closed his eyes as the pain started to get to him.
"You can't beat me, boy! Not on your own!" Adam stated.
"Good thing I'm not on my own." Superboy chokes out opening his eyes to reveal to Adam they were fully red and shot two lasers from his eyes that sent Adam hurling backward. Aqualad saw this and quickly used the water around him as a spring and launched him into the air. He then brought both his hilts together and formed one giant hammer.
He then swung it down onto Adam's head and slammed him into the ground. Wotan took notice of this and tried to aid his teammate but he was shot by Superboy with his laser eyes and knocked away.
Wolf bit down on Humanite's arm before the gorilla tossed him off him and went to the cave to wolf's head in but was stopped as Kid Flash zoomed by him punching him in the face. Humanite looked around only to be punched in the face again. Humanite turned to Wolf again to see Kid Flash there with a smirk.
"Say cheese ugly." He quickly circularly spun his arm before a giant tornado appeared and pushed the gorilla back into a tree.
Wolf and Kid Flash then turned their attention to Count Vertigo and Atomic Skull who was charging toward them.
Artemis shot an arrow at the plants that were trying to wrap around her and quickly avoided any plants she could destroy.
Miss Martian, cloaked, came up from behind Ivy and sent a punch in her face that gave Artemis the opening she needed to take a shot at Ivy's back sending an electric blast that knocked the plant woman out.
Both girls then laid their attention on Kid Flash who was trying unsuccessfully to dodge both Atomic Skull and Count Vertigo's attacks. Miss Martian sent a giant bolder in their direction to which both villains jumped out of the way of the bolder, however, Vertigo jumped right into Artemis's kick that knocked him out cold. Atomic Skull tried to avenge his teammate but he was immediately punched by Kid Flash and knocked out as well.
Humungousaur and Vilgax were both trying to overpower the other but the tides changed when Vilgax shot two molten hot lasers from his eyes that smashed into Humungousaur's face.
"Your Vaxasaurian form matches me in strength, Tennyson. But I still have more powers than you." Vilgax states before Superboy slams into the ground next to him.
"What about if I join then?!" Superboy unleashes two red lasers from his eyes that smash into Vilgax's chest and pushes him back. Stopping his attack, Superboy floats in front of Vilgax with his arms crossed. Vilgax catches his breath while on the ground, he then growls as he tries to punch Superboy but his fist is caught by the boy of steel. "This guy never learns does he?"
"Tell me about it!" The Vaxasaurian started growing in size and stepping in front of VIlgax. The squid alien tried to back away in fear but his fist was still grabbed by the boy of steel. "Don't worry I know his off button!" Humungousaur states cocking back his fist and slamming it in Vilgax's face. As Vilgax goes flying into the forest smashing into multiple trees Black Adam gets back up from the ground and charges at the two but before he can even land a hit the two aliens punched him in the face sending him flying back. Both boys smirked and bumped fists before running in separate directions.
Robin flips over one of Joker's attempts to stab him but then gets kicked in the chest and is sent tumbling back.
"Always wanted to carve this bird!" The Joker states creepily walking up to Robin, but all the Boy of Wonder did was grin.
"You might have to wait on that." He states. Joker raises a brow his sick grin still on his face but his grin dropped as he heard an animalistic growl and flash of green light.
"What did Rath say about if he ever saw you again?" the large alien named Rath growled out behind Joker.
The clown prince of crime could only usher one sound. "Meep." And soon the screams of pain followed.
Wotan was back up to his feet trying to overpower Aqualad with lightning but found that was harder than he thought since the boy could absorb it. He was going to try something else but he was then hit with Robin's shuriken-like discs and Artemis arrows that blasted him out of the sky. A quick psychic blast from M'gann made him tumble toward the ground faster. Superboy and Kid Flash both came running in a delivered one punch of there before Kaldur got the final hit that finally knocked Wotan out.
Most of the Team stood together as Rath started dragging a bloodied Joker with him and threw him right at a tree.
Rath joined up with Kid, Robin, Superboy, and Aqualad as they looked over the defeated villains. "Is that it?" Kid asked but of course as if the universe answered him, no it was not. Vilgax shot up and blasted both Artemis and M'gann back making them shoot past the boys of the team and collide with the ground.
Robin and Kid Flash went to check on them if they were injured while Aqualad and Superboy stood ready to fight off Vilgax. Meanwhile, Rath could only look on in shock as he saw both Artemis and M'gann on the ground knocked out.
Rath growled loudly before roaring out into the sky. He then looked at Vilgax who was already in a badly beaten state a screamed at him while running toward him.
"LEMMA TELL YOU SOMETHING, VILGAX, CONQUEROR OF TEN WORLDS! YOU CAN TRY TO KILL ME ALL YOU WANT! BUT YOU WILL NOT HURT MY GIRLS!" Rath roars out in anger punching Vilgax in the face making Vilgax see stars before he punches Vilgax in the face again, again, again, again, and again.
The Team first looked on in surprise before Ben's statement kicked in and Robin had to suppress a laugh while Aqualad seemed amused along with Superboy, Kid Flash looked on troubled wondering if he should keep his attempts to get M'gann to go on a date with him to a minimum. Artemis and Miss Martian on the other hand were blushing furiously. They weren't hit hard enough to be knocked out so they got to hear the whole statement.
Both of them looked at each other and then looked at Ben and then looked away. M'gann's green face was crimson red and Artemis wasn't much better. The Team looks up to see the entire Justice League. Relief fills their eyes as they know that it was finally over.
Superman floats down next to Ben as he keeps plumbing Vilgax. "Uh, Ben, I think you're going a bit overboard…"
Rath turns his head and shoots Superman a dark glare, one that even made the Man of Steel back away slightly. "Lemme tell ya something Superman, Man of Steel and protector of Metropolis! You want to judge Rath on what he's doing right and wrong HUH!? Well, Rath's going to judge you on something you're doing wrong! Starting with your son or brother or whatever!" Rath yelled out as the entire League looked on in either confusion or amazement, they had never seen Ben act like this before but Team Superboy was the unlucky one that forced Ben to use Rath once and he instantly regretted it. That transformation doesn't hold back. "You have been ignoring him for the longest time and all he wants is for you to acknowledge his presence, you haven't even talked to him, not once!"
Superman's eyes narrowed at the alien. "Now hold on-"
Rath interrupted him before he could utter another word. "Yeah, yeah, yeah, you needed time to process and mend your poor broken heart that you were cloned or whatever! It's been 3 months! Go see your son/brother you asshole!" Rath then turns away from Superman and gets ready to punch Vilgax again but in a flash of purple light, he disappears. "Oh great and now he's gone!" A beeping sound was heard and Rath changed back to Ben. The memories of everything that was happening kicking in, he looked to Superman seeing he seemed slightly angry, he didn't give a shit about that but he then turns to the Team all three out of the four of his male teammates giving him amused smiles as Superboy was giving a thankful nod for telling Superman all that something he would never be able to get off his chest.
However, the ones he was really worried about were the two girls behind them who were madly blushing and avoiding directly gazing at the boy. 'Oh, crap baskets.'
Unknown Location
The Light members Vandal Savage, Lex Luthor, Queen Bee, Klarion the Witch Boy, Ra's Al Ghul, Eon, and Black Manta all stood in a line reviewing the footage of the battle. "He is quite impressive isn't he," Savage spoke with a smirk on his face.
Eon rolled his eyes. "He'll be dead soon enough." The time traveler then turned behind him to see Vilgax on his knees still coughing up blood from his beating. "You failed again, you had one of the most powerful items in the universe and you failed AGAIN!"
The Light all looked to Eon and Vilgax with amused smirks as Eon belittled the squid alien. "Maybe but Tennyson is running out of tricks, next time he will-"
"You don't get it Vilgax, there won't be a next time!" Eon stated making Vilgax's eyes widen. "Did you seriously think I would put up with you any longer, I brought you here for one simple job and you failed again and again. I have taken the liberty already to have your replacement set up. The only reason you're still breathing now is that the timeline in our world still needs you for a few things."
Vilgax heard the entire sentence but only listened to the word 'replacement'. He gritted his teeth and roared. "You think you can find someone better than me?!"
"You weren't listening I already have." Eon states as the doors open up behind Vilgax, the squid alien turns his head and widens his eyes at what he sees.
"Wait, your-" He was cut off as a bright orange-white tentacle slammed into his chest making him spit out another glob of blood. He was sent to the ground and could have sworn he, for a second, had been knocked out. "Is that you, Levin?"
Out of the shadows, a tall and skinny man walked out, he had long raven-black hair and an X-shaped scar on his chin. "Yeah, I grew up a little didn't I?" The man smirked.
Before Vilgax could ask any questions, Eon put his hand upon him. "Goodbye." He stated and Vilgax was transported back to his ship bleeding on the ground and left wondering what just happened.
Two things before this chapter end!
1. I know some people might automatically assume what Rath said with 'MY GIRLS' and the harem aspect as a bad thing. I have said this multiple times and I will say it again. This is not a Loveslave harem. Neither is there an alpha or any of that crap. Everyone in the relationship is equal.
2. R.I.P Kevin Conroy, I grew up loving his Batman, he was a real inspiration to me and had planted the seed that grew into my love for superheroes.
