At the Dragon Academy…
Students from the entire Hooligan Tribe were cheering on the riders in the sky as they were testing their speed.
They were taking notes on the different dragon riding styles as the two experienced dragon riders began to show their stuff. Astrid with Stormfly and Hiccup with Toothless were bringing their best while the cheers of the students and the teachers could be heard. Now, the Nightfury was that fasting thing in all the realm as many did know for sure, but it seemed that Stormfly was stepping up her game this time. It seemed that there was more to the pointy and vain species than most thought. It looked like Astrid figured out how to make her dragon even faster, fast enough to keep up with Toothless. That is almost unheard of!
"Looks like Astrid is bringing her A-Game on, right Wood-Chuck?" Trout smiled while petting his green Timberjack who growled in agreement.
"I've never seen a Nadder move that fast before," Squish admitted with awe at the dragon's recent speed.
"She might actually be faster than the Night Fury."
Everyone was rambling about the speed Stormfly was given when the two teachers landed, earning the cheers of their peers. Toothless was shaking off the dust while he was licking his chops while Stormfly was looking hungry, while their riders were talking to one another. Hiccup was worried something was wrong with Toothless or if they did something different for being slower, but Fishlegs corrected him that Stormfly was becoming faster. Astrid seemed to be very proud of that fact all the while Hiccup felt his bruised a tad. Hiccup was eager to learn the secret of Stormfly's latest speed but Astrid, ever the Viking liked to tease Hiccup about her little secret.
"Awe, young love~." Trout teased his cousin, while the twins joined in.
Hiccup gave him a sharp glare.
"Woof, if looks could kill…"
Then as ever on cue, Snotlout came barreling in with news of a new discovery. Thus, the dragon riders went off while the students were left to read up on their manuals in dragon training.
"Still think they're lovebirds."
"More like Love Dragons."
The Students laughed at the thought, thinking what Hiccup would be if he were a dragon. Probably a cute little green critter, sneaky, too smart, and loved to shake things up… like a little Terror.
At the docks…
Swift the Flash was brushing her scauldron with her favorite brush while the spoiled creature was gobbling up some fresh sardines her rider caught.
"Oh Karma, such a perfect day to relax and enjoy a moment of peace after a day of being a chief. Sometimes one needs to relax, go with the flow with the every day of life." Swift sighed while she was grooming her aquatic buddy.
Karma grumbled in agreement.
"It's hard being an empowered female leader. You got to be tough, take charge, and look doing it."
Karma agreed with a sound.
"Aye, it is not an easy thing."
She then lied back while taking up some sunshine. After all, since she needed to head back to her tribe with her boys and members of her tribe. Every other week, she needed to gather the students back to Dragon Academy to learn everything they needed to know about dragons, riding, care, and taming. Her tribe was already benefiting from the dragons while they were increasing efficiency.
While she was relaxing, she could hear her nephew coming by with someone and his dragon, her being able to tell by the thudding sound his metal leg made. Her eyes were closed while she enjoyed the sunshine.
"Hey, Aunt Swift." Hiccup greeted the woman.
"Afternoon Nephew. Brought a new friend?" Swift wondered while Karma was sniffing the girl with him.
"Aye, Aunt Swift. She was shipwrecked and was new to the village. Heather, meet my Aunt, Swift, Swift the Flash of the Isle of Rift. Aunt Swift, meet Heather." Hiccup introduced her while Swift opened one eye.
"Heather, huh? You know, my Pa was very close to naming me-." She began but gasped as she thought she saw a ghost, "Valka?"
"Valka?" Heather wondered as Swift's eyes adjusted to see that it was just a teenage girl.
"Oh. Sorry, you reminded me of someone." Swift grumbled then looked to her brother's hut, "I-I need to go."
He hopped on Karma's back while Hiccup looked a little surprised.
"Oh, okay then, Aunt Swift. See you later." Hiccup bid.
"Nice meeting you, Ms. Haddock."
The woman and the dragon then flew for the answers she needed.
Stoick's Hut…
She opened the door to see her brother looked just as troubled and confused as her.
"I see you met the newcomer face to face." Swift surmised walking in to meet him.
"Aya."
She then sat down next to him.
"Pretty girl, good head… reminds me of someone, almost a little too well."
"Aya."
"Which would be impossible unless she was either alive, which is unlikely…"
"Aye."
"Or giving her age into account, she has to be-."
"Swift, we cannot tell anyone about this, yet. Not until we are certain." Stoick advised.
"Agreed, I'll do some looking into with the Berserkers and see what I could dig up." Swift nodded while taking a sip of mead, "Better to go to the horse's mouth on this… You keep an eye on the girl, and try to learn more about her background."
"Aye."
The siblings shook hands and got to work behind the scenes.
