A bright flash of light was appeared on an empty alleyway and screaming came from it.
"DOWOOOOOAAARAAAAA!"
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
"WOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAA!"
"AHHHHHHHHHHH!"
THUMP!
CRASH!
After they got out the portal closes
ZAP!
BZZZT!
Our four mercs crash landed in some trash bins scaring the cats nearby. Some of them are a bit stunned after the whole ordeal, with the exception being Engie who was thankfully was still weaing his hard hat thus he's not as stunned as the other three. Engie got on up, and scanned the area they were on, they were in an alleyway with no one around other than cats that ran off. He turned his attention to the three who just recovered from the crash.
"Y'all good?"
"Heavy is dizzy but good"
"Non, I have fractured several of my bones and a concussion."
"Nein, but I have my new medigun with me! I can heal you and myself!"
"Well that's good!"

"Did you just say new Medigun?"
"Jä!" Medic pulls out his new Medigun."I call zhis The Overdose! Zhis is my master piece! It combines all of the benefits of all the 4 mediguns I have in my possession! From quick healing of ze Quick-Fix, the protection of ze Vaccinator, the Damage Amplifier of ze Kritzkrieg, to ze ÜberCharge! Zhis is what I have been doing all those years!"
CLICK!
WHIZZZZ!
"Thank You Doctor!"
"You are still great Doctor!"
"'Preciate it,Doc!"
Then medic points the medigun to himself
"HAHAHA, Oktoberfest!"
After everyone gets healed and cleaned themselves up. Engineer ordered them to stay back for now as he'll scan the area further.
"Alright, fellas I'll look on ahead and I'll call y'all when it's alright to come on out."
"Da"
"Jä"
Spy nodded in agreement
"I'll be back in a bit fellas!"
Engie dusted himself a bit, then walked out of the alley and towards the street. There he sees that they are in a city, but he noticed that some buildings looked a bit strange though still resembled buildings of the early 1980s. He walked around and saw some signs that isn't English, Engie had a bad feeling that they weren't in the US any more but he hoped that maybe it's one of those ethnic enclaves in some city in the states, til he heard some people talking and it sounded like Japanese. They got transported into another country! Taken a back from this revelation, he knew he had to ask about where, or hell even when are they. He went back into the alley but still near the street. He was not gonna tell em yet that they're in Japan! But he needs to ask more questions.
Engie calmed himself down and took of his googles and hard hat and wore a Texas Ten Gallon, Texas Half-Pants and Graybanns, now he looked like a stereotypical Cowboy with Sunglasses. A bit over the top but he thought he would need to look like a tourist, an American Tourist, that looked like he just got off the plane! For how he would communicate we them, thankfully Mann Co. had foreign language classes that only thought the basics and important words and form coherent sentences. It ranged from German to Latin for some reason, and thankfully basic Japanese was included. Got on out of the alley and went out to ask the guy.
"こんにちは、私はアメリカからの観光客ですが、ここはどの都市ですか?" (" Hello, I'm a tourist from America, which city is this? ") Engie asked though his heavy Texan accent kinda butchered the sentence thus making it hard for the guy to understand him.
But thankfully the guy understood "ああ、これはどの都市ですかと聞いているのですか?, あなたはムスタフにいます、あなたは静岡県にいます." (" Oh, what city is this you're asking? You're in Mustafu, you're in Shizuoka Prefecture.")
Engie was really surprised that they WERE actually in Japan! Though he doesn't know what Musutafu is as there were no mention of that city during the classes, but still thankful "ああ！ありがとうございます！今日の日付も教えていただけますか?" ("Ah! thank you! Could you also tell me today's date? ") again the Texan accent butchered the sentence.
But the guy still understood "今日は2216年2月10日です." ("Today is February 10, 2216. ")
Engie's eyes widen! WHAT? Not only they got transported to another country, but also through time?! No wonder the buildings looked a bit off but familiar enough to their own time he also wondered if the technology had advanced as well! He shook himself mentally back to reality and thanked the guy again "ご協力ありがとうございました!" ("Thank you for your cooperation! ")
"全然問題ありません！アクセントをもう少し改善する必要がありますが、あなたの言っていることが理解しづらかったです." ("No problem at all! You need to improve your accent a bit, it was hard to understand what you were saying. ") With that the guy went off.
"Now I've seen everything..."
Date: February 10, 2216
Location: Musutafu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan
In an alleyway
Engineer hastily walked back to the three and told them about their current location and situation.
"Hey, fellas!"
"Hallo! Herr Engineer! What's our current
situation?"
"Y'all won't believe me when I say this..."
The three looked tense as the Engineer looked alarmed.
"Boys, were in Japan!"
They all in shock!
"WHAT?!" All said in unison
"How could zis be?"
"Heavy is concerned now "
"Yes, I am as well. But we shouldn't panic gentlemen, we could just buy ourselves tickets back to Teufort, we have our documents and cash anyway."
Medic sighed in relief "Phew, I thought we would have to worry about zhis."
But Heavy was skeptical, as the Engineer still looked tense. "Engineer, Heavy feels like there's more."
"Yeah, that was just the tip of the iceberg, bow don't be alarmed y'all ..."
Spy and Medic raised a brow and looked back at Engineer.
"What?"
"Jä, what do you mean 'it's just the tip of the iceberg'?"
"Well, I don't think we can get back home to err well our homes, hell you'll be lucky if no one else is living there..."
"What, herr Engineer are you talking about?"
"Fellas... we are in the future!"
The three looked at each other.
"So, how would we get back to our time and what do we do?"
"Well, first I dunno but it involves the teleporter great thing we got our weapons with us I could make another one and study it further , and second we need find a place to stay, food, water for the four of us, and a clean job our cash won't last and time won't tell how long will we be trapped here, lastly we should get more information about the future we are in.."
"Heavy agrees."
"Jä, though clean jobs? For people like us?" Medic thought about it "Eh, why not though my medical license is revoked."
"Hmmm, what if they get in contact the Embassies of our contries once they check our documents."
"Now, how much cash do you guys have on y'all?"
Everyone reached for thier pockets.
"I have 50K on me" Engie counted
"I got 40K" Medic counted
"45K" Spy counted
"400k" Heavy counted
Everyone looked at Heavy, and wondered how the hell did he have so much pocket money? Did the teacher's salary increase all the sudden? Or he just saves it.
Spy hummed
"Ohhhhh, money!"
"Woah there pardner, how the hell do you have that much cash?"
"Heavy saved money for years after Mann Co give job, Heavy gave money to family and saved remaining."
"Well hot damn! This will last us years here! But we should just exchange a portion of our cash just enough for us to live for a couple of months and to also not give any attention to us on how we amassed this much dollars."
"So, let us find a bank. Now shall we?"
"Yeah!" Engie glanced to Medic and Heavy "Oh and can y'all change your clothes? We don't want to attract any attention to ourselves."
"Coming from you Laborer?" Spy quipped at Engineer's get-up that screams YEEEEEHAW.
They laughed at Engie, on which Engie angrily glared at em. Medic and Heavy agreed and changed into more casual attires. Spy didn't have to change anything, his suit is already good enough, all he needs to do is to conceal his weapons.
Coming out of the alley, Engie lead the group walked on out of the alley.
"So, how's yall Japanese?"
"私は流暢なフランス語と英語を話せます." ("I can speak fluent French and English. ") Spy sarcastically said in fluent Japanese without his accent butchering the sentence.
Engie rolled his eyes "Very funny"
Spy chuckled
"Heavy understands Japanese and can speak, but accent is problem."
Heavy is wearing the Siberian Sophisticate, Mann of the House, and Gabe Glasses
"Er, I can understand and speak Japanese, but like Heavy, my accent can be a problem."
Medic is wearing Doc's Holiday, Summer Shades, and Summer Hat. 'Why not?' Medic thought, why not wear summer clothes in the Winter Season.
"I oughta make a translator we can wear"
"Wouldn't zat be useless because we can speak and understand Japanese?"
"Yeah, but we only know the basics and it won't be just any translator, it would basically remove the accents so that people can understand us as well as understand them, you see what I have in mind is a two-way translator, we speak in english and it comes out as Japanese, while they speak in Japanese and we can hear English."
"Ohhh, good idea!"
"Da."
"Okay, now let's find the bank."
"Let us move!"
On their journey on finding a bank, they notice that some of the population looked like they have something replaced or added on their bodies, there was a girl with Cat features, a cop who was a Cat head for a head, a girl with headphone jacks on each ear, and a lizard-man, they thought to themselves that Saxton would have a field day of 'hunting' people that had animal features on their bodies, then they see some action figures, posters, even commercials with people in costumes, it made them wonder if they had jumped into a comic book or they died and they got reincarnated somehow.
After observing this strange future earth's Japan, it was apparent that aimlessly going around and gawking at people won't get them no where and they have been at it for 45 minutes until. Spy got frustrated and asked a Green-Haired Boy where the nearest bank was located, only his answer to be met with nervous muttering and the boy looked spooked. Spy calmly calmed down the boy and gave him breathing exercise and a lecture on not to breakdown immediately when someone who is not your mother talking to you, that whole endeavor lasted 15 minutes, after the boy calmed down he directed him to the bank, it was just right behind them.
Silence. They had finally found the bank, after going round and round the city, looking at strange people, questionable looks from strangers as Spy was lecturing a boy, it only costed them some of their dignity and 1 hour of their time. Spy thanked the boy and thanked Spy for giving him advice.
The Bank
Medic Schadenfreudre
Medic was laughing hysterically "HAHAHA, it was just right behind us! After ze Spy spooked the boy and gave him a lesson!"
Heavy and Engie chuckled at that, while Spy frowned a bit but still happy for teaching a kid lesson that he would need in life.
"So fellas, how much should we take from our savings?"
"Heavy will take 50K, as Heavy has more"
"I shall take 10K from mein money."
"10K as well."
"Alright, I'll do 10k too fellas."
"Zat totals to 80K, if we convert to zhis to Yen it would be 12,573,920."
"And that should last us roughly 3 years here, plenty of time to find a job for us and Heavy still has 350K in his savings, we should make it til next decade."
"Okay fellas, I'll be the one to exchange our money, be back in a bit!"
Later, Engie got back win a crap ton of Yen.
"Woooowie, look at all this money!"
"Now, let us find a home"

Actual Author's Note: Yea so they got sent 1 year before Midoriya goes to the UA Entrance Exam, and apparently MHA takes place in the 23rd century, i just googled it so I can put a year on the date. Speaking of the Date, you won't see those as much as I planned it to be just used in the early chapters like this chapter and the last.
Kinda convenient that Heavy is rich as well the others, and that the mercs can speak and understand Japanese huh? Well, I took a page off of Doctor Wheel's fic as well as the two-way translator there.
Also they're gonna be Teacher's Assistants at UA, took a different approach to Doctor Wheel's Janitors.
