And finally, we reach the part where Poppy reacts to her boyfriend's near brush with death! I've been waiting for this part!

Cooper and several other trolls came running to Biggie, Prince D, and Guy Diamond as they bore Branch's still form inside the village. King Peppy hurried to their side. "Lay him down here." He ordered them when they reached the village square. Biggie and Guy Diamond gently set down the inflatable stretcher.

"He's bleeding!" Biggie announced.

"He hurt his head!" Guy Diamond spoke up.

"His leg is broken!" Tiny Diamond exclaimed.

"Is he dead?!" Smidge asked anxiously, as several onlookers gathered around Branch and his rescue party.

"I think he's dead!" A little girl cried.

"Is he dead?" King Peppy asked worriedly.

"Let me in there!" Doctor Plum called to everybody. They all stepped aside to make room for the doctor who stooped at Branch's side with her medical bag in hand. But before she could even begin to examine his battered body, a shrill cry startled everybody from behind.

"BRANCH!" Poppy screeched and made a mad dash for him. "Branch! Branch! Branch! Branch, can you hear me?!" She was wringing her hands. "Speak to me! Speak to me! BRANCH! Are you listening to me?!" Poppy yelled frantically down in his face. "BRANCH! Are you alive?! Tell me you're alive, right now! Branch! Tell me you're still alive, or so help me-"

"Shut up." Branch grimaced tightly.

Everyone was whooping and hollering cheers of relief, which was not helping to relieve the excruciating pounding in Branch's head. "He's alive! I knew he wasn't dead! He's alive!"

"Branch!" Poppy cried happily, and threw herself on top of him. "You're alive! You're alive!" She squeezed her arms around his neck. "I knew you wouldn't just leave me like that. I wasn't worried at all! Well, a little, but that doesn't matter-"

"Stop…" Branch pleaded weakly.

"What?" Poppy cocked her head.

"Honey, I love ya, but...Get off of me!" His pale face was scrunched in pain from the joyful firecracker kneeling on his chest.

"Oh, Sweetie, I'm so sorry!" Poppy quickly scrambled off him. "Where does it hurt? Tell me where it hurts." She reached out her hand to tenderly caress his forehead, around the bloodied bandage.

"Don't…" Branch groaned, and slipped back into unconsciousness.

"Branch!" Poppy gasped, grabbing his shoulders.

"Easy, Poppy." King Peppy told her, grabbing her hands.

"Your father's right, Your Majesty." Dr. Plum said. "I need you all to step back. Let me take a look." She knelt down closer and put her stethoscope inside her ears and moved the bell around on Branch's torso. He didn't react whatsoever. "Branch? Can you hear me?" Dr. Plum called to him. No answer. She inspected the bloodstained gauze taped across his stomach. Then she checked his injured leg. It was considerably swollen, bruised, and limp. "Let's get him to my office." She said. Biggie and Guy Diamond quickly carried Branch to the doctor's, Poppy anxiously trotting alongside them. She reached out her arm and gripped Branch's hand.

"You're gonna be okay, Branchifer." She said with a sad smile. "You're the toughest guy I know. So, you'd better wake back up, okay?"

As they entered the hospital ward of Dr. Plum's, they noticed Maple, Pita, Colin, Honey Lemon, Shimmer Boy, and Chris in the waiting room with their parents. The kids had a bunch of Band-Aids on their faces and limbs. Dr. Plum had quickly cleaned up their cuts, scrapes, and bruises so they were good to go. However, Poppy realized that she didn't see Jenny among them! Was she okay? She saw Satin, Chenille, and Cooper in the corner with Jenny's parents, Peri (short for Periwinkle) and Amber. "I'll be back." She told Biggie and Guy Diamond. She hurried over to her other friends.

"Amber! Peri!" She waved to them. Amber instantly stood up from her chair.

"Poppy!" Amber hugged her with tears in her eyes.

"Hey, is Jenny okay?" Poppy took her hands.

"Dr. Plum says that she will be." Peri answered, rubbing his wife's shoulder. "We haven't gotten to see her yet."

"Oh, I'm sorry." Poppy's face dropped.

"Dr. Plum says she almost died!" Amber sniffled. "She said that she'll be okay, but...I just need to be with my little girl! I need to hold her."

"You will." Poppy promised with an encouraging smile.

"Is that...Branch?" Peri's eyes widened as he noticed Biggie and Guy Diamond carrying the blue troll back through the emergency doors.

"Yeah." Poppy nodded, nervously gripping her own arm. "He's hurt pretty bad."

"He was so brave!" Satin told Poppy.

"Fearless!" Chenille agreed.

"He made sure we were all safely in the trees, then he went to find Jenny." Cooper explained. "He brought her back and handed her off to Biggie. But by then, the Scrimps were upon us. He didn't have time to hit for cover."

Poppy stared down at the linoleum floor, clasping her hands together over her chest. Her brave Branch, risked his life to save everyone else and now he was lying in a hospital bed, terribly injured. Would he be okay? Of course he would!

"So, what's wrong with Jenny?" She asked. "Cooper came flying into the village with, and ran straight here."

"Dr. Plum says it was Bludger Venom." Peri said with a shudder, wrapping his arm around Amber.

"W-what?! Bludger Venom?" Poppy gasped. "But...how?!"

"We don't know." Peri shook his head.

"Oh my gosh!" Poppy stood there, startled. "And she's going to survive?"

"That's what the doctor says." Amber nodded tearfully.

"Wow. That's...that's great! I'm so glad she's gonna be okay!" Poppy smiled.

"So are we, Your Majesty." Peri said quietly. Poppy grabbed both of them in a strong hug. She sat with them for a while, along with Cooper, and Satin and Chenille. The berry-picking kids and their parents spoke with them, thanking them. They explained everything, except how Jenny became stung with Bludger Venom and how she was still alive and breathing.

Half an hour later, Dr. Plum Plimsy walked into the waiting room. "Periwinkle? Amber?" She greeted them. They instantly stood up from their chairs. "Jenny's awake now. You may go see her. But she's pretty exhausted."

"I just have to be near her." Amber breathed.

"Thank you, Doctor." Peri said gratefully. "Is she really going to be okay?"

"Yes." Dr. Plum smiled. "I'm going to keep her admitted her for a few days. After that, you should be able to take her home but she will have to rest, for at least a week."

"Thank you." Amber hugged her, then walked with her husband to go see their little girl. Poppy and the others followed.

"Dr. Plum? Branch, how is he?" Poppy asked her good friend. "Is he going to be okay? How serious is it? Will he walk again? Does he have brain damage?"

Dr. Plum smiled. "Calm down, Your Majesty." She patted Poppy's hands. "He's holding his own. I have him stabilized, and am giving him antibiotics. His right leg was broken, but I set it and it's in a cast. He's going to have to keep it elevated for a week. He's still unconscious though. Took a heavy blow to the head, and has a concussion. I stitched up the cut on his forehead. He has some angry lacerations on his belly. We'll have to keep an eye on those for infection. All in all, I believe he's going to be fine. He's not gonna be doing any heavy work in a hurry though. He's going need lots of TLC if he's going to heal properly."

"Does he know that yet?"

"No. Should he?"

"Well, we all know Branch. He doesn't like to be fussed over." Poppy shrugged. "But that's okay. What the heck? I'll take care of him!" Poppy jumped excitedly.

"Are you sure, Queen Poppy? What with your royal duties, the Berry Festival?"

"I'm sure. Hey, nobody knows Branch better than I do! I'll help him get better sooner than you think. You'll see!"

"This is Branch we're talking about, Your Majesty. He's not what I would call a 'pious patient'. I've experienced firsthand his insufferable hard-head too many times!"

"Aww, sure. Trust me, I've got this." Poppy beamed.
