Three weeks later
Mika panted as he shadow sparred on the water, moving gracefully across the pond in his training grounds. He loved it, the new techniques broughts on by medical training. Extreme evasion for taijutsu, Chakra control on an insane level, reading hundreds of books, and so much more. Mika excelled at it all... except the combination of his skills, the Mystic Palm. Iida sensei said it would take months to master, but he was really struggling to master it. He had to combine extreme awareness, chakra control and so much more to manage it.
To help with that, he started to shadow spar on the water, combining the collective skills he needed to master. He hoped it would help him become the powerhouse he felt destined to become. As a result of the progress he was making, Mika felt his chakra levels increasing phenominally fast, the combination of mental and physical training,... it held a special place for him.
"I know your watching me." He called out, after an hour of the training. "Who are you?"
A boy, dressed in a green jumpsuit with an annoying bowl cut, popped out into the training ground in a blur of speed. He looked familar, Mika recognized him as a patient he had the day before. "Name's Might Gai! I saw you running around the village today. I was curious after seeing you yesterday, you helped give me some food in the hosptial after my Mission yesterday so I was curious."
Mika nodded. "It is nice to meet you, Gai. Or well, beyond being my patient."
"I never saw a medic training so hard physcially. Why do you do this?"
"I aim to become a Sanin type figure, I admire them all... especially Lady Tsunade. Her skills, power and all of it... and Lord Orochimaru. They are to be admired and feared. I crave that."
The boy nodded, eyes wide. "Your youth is vast! I will help you, my new friend!" And Mika was forced to dodge a powerful strike that sent ripples across the water. "I am a taijutsu master, like my father before me."
Mika then had to dodge furious fists for the next twenty minutes, using every ounce of his medical training before Gai punched his arm sending him flying across the pond into the waters. "Ow... you are very, very strong."
Gai flexed, but not in a cocky sort of way, just purely factual. "I am a taijutsu master, it comes with the territory... hit me, I want to see how strong you are."
Mika sighed. "I am the shortest ninja in the village, I checked... but sure." And Mika bolted toward Gai and decked him hard, sending him flying back. "Did I mention that I have always been pretty strong?" He mocked as the other boy lifted himself off of the pond's surface.
"How youthful!" He crowed as Mika laughed. "We must be friends!"
"Sure thing handsome. " Mika sighed. "Now, any tips for bettering my taijutsu? I have no mentors outside of the hospital, you know."
What happened next was three hours of combat training in which Mika learned a freaking ton, as well as a vow to repeat the process with Gai as many more times as was needed. "I think you need to meet Kakashi, my eternal rival!"
Mika nodded. "Sure... but for now, let's stick to just us, shall we? I have to focus on getting beyond my limits. I only started training to be a ninja at eight, I am kind of behind."
Gai nodded. " A bit, but I am sure you will become splendid!"
"I hope so, handsome."
Chapter end, tell me what you think in the reviews.
This was a joy to write.
Love, your Ninja Overlord,
Mika.
