Chapter 5: Recovery
Our heroes were able to escape the reach of their enemies by a hair's breadth. The hasty plan brought drastic consequences. The two groups of Bubble Guppies were processing what they had faced before. Their greatest enemies united to take revenge and dominate both worlds. Unfortunately for our protagonists, one of them fell seriously injured. The other guppies decided to take the Ice Princess to her own home so she could recover from her unconscious state. Teen Gil used his strength to carry her and finally laid her down on her bed. The other Bubble Guppies were in the living room. In addition to being greeted by Molly's siblings: Mason and Mia, they could explain a bit about the situation.
"So you guys are the Bubble Guppies of the world where the guppies I know went. Wow...this is hard to process" Mason asked them.
"Believe me, it's hard for us to process as well. But that's how things are and we don't have much time to process these things. Both worlds are in danger from Pyros and Bossi" Teen Gil answered.
"It's amazing and strange to see another version of Molly. It's like she's another older sister. Older than Mason" Mia (from Ice Princess World) said admiring Teen Molly.
"I admit it's strange to see a Molly older than me" Mason said, looking at the leader of the Teen Bubble Guppies.
"Yes, I was expecting another Mia... But I didn't expect her to have another brother, and one older than her. I mean, she's the middle sister" Teen Molly commented.
"It's a pleasure to meet you all (sigh) But my sister is not well... She faced Pyros, didn't she?" Mason deduced.
"Yes, but it wasn't a fair fight! Molly was already weakened before" Young Gil complained.
"I don't think that's something Pyros cares about…" Teen Nonny commented.
"Alright...Alright...It wasn't our best plan, but we still have to do something. We can't just sit back and watch Pyros and Bossi conquer our home" Teen Gil intervined.
"I agree...They will do to your world what they did to this world months ago. We must stop them" Young Goby said.
"Listen, let's all calm down... We suffered a heavy defeat, but we will not give up. Look... Let's reorganize. Each of us will regain our strength and arm ourselves for our next plan. We will return here in a few hours. If anything happens, call us" Young Nonny calmed his friends.
Everyone was silent and did as they were told. Teen Molly and the two Gils stayed in the house with siblings Mia and Mason to take care of Ice Princess Molly and wait for some positive response. The other guppies split up. Almost all of them went off with their respective counterparts. We'll see them by group. The first one was the two Gobys and both of them arrived at Young Goby's house. The boy decided to let his older version pass in the garage so that his parents and older brother wouldn't find out about the other Goby's presence. It took a few minutes and Young Goby finally met up with Teen Goby in the garage.
"Well…How is your family?" Teen Goby asked him.
"My parents and older brother are fine. I thought something happened to them, but they are fine. They are just worried about the mission and well, I said we had to retreat and go back for supplies" Young Goby started searching through some things in various boxes. His older counterpart started helping him.
"I guess you didn't want to tell them about meeting another Goby" The older asked him.
"Not yet...I don't want to confuse them, more than it already is...I still have a hard time processing it" Young Goby admitted.
"Hey...we are too much alike...You have your parents and your older brother...My family was exactly the same. I'm surprised your brother still lives in the house" Teen Goby said.
"Not for long...He'll be off to college soon...And what about yours?" Young Goby asked.
"I didn't spend much time with him. He's already married and he's already a father. You know, I have three nephews... Hehe... You know... I'm glad you still have your mom" The older guppy explained.
"Yes, she is very affectionate... Although sometimes she is strict and you wouldn't like to see her angry" Young Goby joked a bit.
"I can imagine it... How I would like to see my mother, even if she is angry" Teen Goby commented.
"Wait...Don't tell me that..." His younger version noticed.
"...I lost my mother when I was about your age... That cancer killed her... (sigh)" The older Goby said.
"I'm so sorry, dude" Young Goby comforted him.
"You don't have to apologize. I'm just... I'm just saying that well, you're lucky to have her. Take advantage of every minute with mom and well... That's why we have to save the worlds, right?" Teen Goby advised him. The other was surprised to see him calm despite having told him that he had lost his mother years ago.
"Y-You're right" Young Goby said. Finally, he managed to find what he was seeking "Yes, I knew I still had it. Here, it will help you on our journey" He gave his other self a combat hammer.
"I didn't know you had weapons here" Teen Goby took the hammer with both hands, because it was heavy.
"All of us guppies have had some weapons stored in our houses since Pyros' defeat. To be ready for any threat. Sometimes, there were weapons from Pyros' army around here…" Young Goby answered.
"Then we could equip ourselves very well here" Teen Goby said earlier that both boys decided to carry a few weapons.
Elsewhere, the two Deemas arrived at the house, relieved when they noticed that the family was okay. Young Deema did tell her parents about her trip and the existence of another Deema. They accepted it with good grace. They both walked around the house and both girls visited the crib of a sleeping baby.
"Awwww….She's adorable" Teen Deema said happily.
"My little sister...It's nice to see her sleep" Young Deema added.
"I wish my brothers were that sweet... They are troublemakers" Teen Deema rolled her eyes.
"Partners in crime, huh? Sounds like fun" Young Deema raised her eyebrow funnily.
"Not when they go against me hehe (sigh) How are they? I hope they are okay... I just hope I don't lose them" The older guppy commented.
"We will save them, I promise... I don't want you to lose your brothers….." Young Deema commented, because she knew how it feels.
"Well, I'd like to stay and tell more stories and maybe even have dinner... But our friends are waiting for us. What are we looking for here?" Teen Deema asked.
"Well, we figure we're going to have a similar adventure to the one we had...We need some weapons and food..." Young Deema said.
"You don't mean..." Teen Deema smiled before…
"Supplies!" The two girls said at the same time and laughed together.
"Hahaha! Who knew it would be cool to meet another Deema?" Young Deema said, chuckling.
"Haha…..We are awesome, darling…" Teen Deema said before helping her younger counterpart look for the necessary supplies. In that search, the older girl accidentally found a picture of the younger Deema with a boy who looked very much like her "Hey, Who is this boy? He looks a lot like you... well, us" She asked before Young Deema ran and took off the photo.
"It's not...It's not anybody...It's...He's Dennis...my twin brother" Young Deema said quietly.
"You have a twin brother?!" Teen Deema was surprised.
"...I had…." Young Deema looked down.
"...Oh…..Private topic...I'm so sorry...I'm not the best at these things but...You can talk to me if you want. After all, who can understand you better than yourself?" Teen Deema tried to be optimistic.
"Hehe…..Thanks…But I'd rather not talk about this for now. There are things to do…..Maybe later" Young Deema said before continuing their mission.
On the other hand, the two Oona talked a lot about their experiences in their respective lives throughout the journey. Finally, they both arrived at the younger Oona's house and both checked the house. Of course, they were surprised by someone else.
"Oona, is that you?" An older guppy came to surprise them both.
"Big Sis!" Young Oona ran at her and hugged her. Teen Oona just looked at them with happiness.
"I was really worried about you. How did the mission go?" Kiko asked her.
"We had...some setbacks...but we came back for resources and other things...Kiko, I want you to meet someone special...She's Oona! I know, she has the same name as me...But she's me from another world!" Young Oona introduced her.
"Hello, Kiko. It's an honor to meet you. Your sister, or rather your Oona, spoke well of you" Teen Oona bowed at her respectfully.
"The…pleasure is mine…." Kiko bowed at her too, but with some distrust.
"By the way, where is mom?" Young Oona asked her older sister.
"She evacuated the city, as did some of the others in BubbleTucky. Lady Snowa and Glacia recommended the evacuation because they felt that you guys came back, which could be a sign that Pyros and his men are coming. Although I was waiting for you... And since you're here, I want you to go with mom and find a safe place" Kiko explained the situation.
"Although it sounds tempting, I can't. My friends and I are on a mission to stop Pyros and other bad guys" The younger Oona answered.
"No, you will go with me. I don't plan on leaving you alone" Kiko said seriously.
"Come on, sister...I can handle it. I've been on a life or death mission before" Young Oona crossed her arms.
"Yes, and how did it go? Oh I know! With a cut tail! What will happen next time? An arm? Or the head!? Last time you went because there was no choice, but now that I can get you to safety, you refuse" Kiko was angry.
"When will you stop seeing me as a simple child?! I'm growing up and I have a responsibility to Molly and the others. I'm not going to abandon them, especially now. Stop being overprotective. I know how to fight and I know how to use weapons! I don't need you treating me like a baby" Oona faced her. They both started yelling at each other until someone stopped them.
"Jūbun!" Teen Oona screamed at both of them. The two sisters stopped and saw that the eldest Oona was the one who screamed. She approached both of them "I cannot stand to see discussions of this kind" She looked at the other Oona "Oona…..Don't say mean things to your older sister. She just wants to protect you and take care of you. She always wants you to be safe"
"Hmmm…." Young Oona just looked down.
"...And you, Kiko, it's okay that you want to protect your sister. Believe me, I have an older brother who is just as protective as you... But you must also learn that she can take care of herself too. You must trust her... Besides, she won't be alone... Her friends, my friends and I will be together... If it makes you feel better... I'll be watching her for you... Do you trust me?" Teen Oona asked her. Kiko thought about it a lot. It was as if her little sister had grown up and her older version was speaking to her.
"I...Hmmmm...Well, Oona told me what they did on their trip...How she fought against many monsters and evil people...When I found out...I was very worried that I wasn't there to defend her...But, I could see that Oona can take care of herself" Kiko said quietly.
"Well…..I admit that I must apologize... I know that you only care about me as the good older sister that you are" Young Oona hugged her sister.
"Of course I always want to protect you. And I apologize too. You're growing up and I can't overprotect you…" Kiko added.
"Awww….I always like family reconciliations a lot" Teen Oona commented.
"You are definitely just like my sister..." Kiko said with a smile. She decided to get up and brought the two Oonas something very special.
"Sis…" Young Oona was surprised.
"Here, sister. This weapon protected you on your first adventure. I suppose you'll need it" Kiki gave her the katana Oona used in her first journey.
"Woah…." Teen Oona was amazed by the special katana.
"...And you...I guess you need one too. I hope you know how to use it" Kiko gave a ninjato to the eldest Oona. A sword similar to the katana.
"Wow….My uncle taught me some things, but not much..." Teen Oona admired her new sword.
"Likewise, I can teach you how to use it" Young Oona offered.
"Listen, I'm entrusting you with this weapon to take care of my little sister... Can I count on you?" Kiko asked her. Teen Oona simply put away her new weapon and bowed.
"Trust her life in my hands... I promise I will take care of her too" Teen Oona promised.
"Good….Now go save our worlds" Kiko said with a smirk. The two Oonas said goodbye to her and prepared to meet up with their friends.
On the other hand, the two Nonnys went to Young Nonny's house and met his family, where they welcomed him well. Although the family had a hard time processing the fact of seeing another person very similar to Nonny, and knowing that he is actually another Nonny. The boys could not stay long, since they had work to do. In addition, the family was preparing for the evacuation.
"Your family is very nice" Teen Nonny said. They prepared some luggage with some weapons and equipment.
"Thanks. I guess yours is nice" Young Nonny assumed. Before they could continue, someone surprised them.
"Nonny! Youre back!" Nelly hugged Young Nonny.
"Oh, Nelly….Youre here. You have to go with mom" The younger Nonny told her.
"I want to go with you….I care a lot about you" Nelly said.
"It's very dangerous. Look, I've given you a mission. Take care of Mom. That'll be your mission. Can I trust you?" Young Nonny used his convincing tone of voice to change her mind.
"Y-Yes! You can trust me…." Nelly said happily until she noticed the other Nonny "Ohh! Hehehe can you take care of him for me?" Nelly asked Teen Nonny.
"I will" Teen Nonny answered. She hugged him strongly and she left them.
"See you soon!" Nelly said goodbye to them.
"Your little sister is very adorable..." Teen Nonny admitted.
"She is….She was more shy before...I don't blame her, I found her alone" Young Nonny commented.
"Wait….alone….Isn't she your sister?" Teen Nonny asked him.
"Adopted. Her family was killed by the Pyros army. That's why I brought her home and we adopted her" Young Nonny explained.
"I feel so sorry for her...At least she met her parents and they loved her..." Teen Nonny said quietly "I understand what it feels like to be in an adoptive family"
"Oh….Really?" Young Nonny was surprised.
"Yes...I never met my father and my mother left me in an orphanage. I was lucky that my adoptive parents are great and very loving...Although, not long ago I met my biological mother and the truth is I forgave her...Although not completely..." Teen Nonny explained his story.
"Surprising. I didn't know you went through something like that" Young Nonny was surprised.
"These are...things that happen in life. Very well. I think we have what we need. We must return to your Molly's house...I hope she has recovered" Teen Nonny said changing the topic. He knew they had a more important mission.
Now we will focus on a larger group. The two Zoolis along with Urchin and Cryo. The two girls entered Young Zooli's house to check on the family and gather supplies and weapons. While Urchin and Cryo stayed outside waiting. Both remained silent, neither knowing how to break the silence.
"Everyone went home to gather resources and see how their families were doing... And well... What about you? Do you live with someone else, since it seems you don't live with your father?" Urchin asked him curiously.
"I now live with my older sister, Alana. She has taken care of me. Also, I now live with Lady Snowa and Glacia. Both sisters and one of them being the previous Ice Princess" Cryo explained.
"Oh yeah! Molly's and your mentors. I remember your stories" Urchin reminded.
"And...as I see Molly's condition...I think we should get to where they are if we want to help her" Cryo deduced.
"So we'll have to go to BlizzardTucky? That's what the place was called, right?" Urchin asked.

"W-Well….It is one of my strong areas" Urchin commented. Finally, both Zoolis appeared with some supplies.
"Here, Cryo...We need all the help we can get" Young Zooli gave him some luggages. They began their journey back "Hey, ummm Zooli...I noticed you were very quiet when you were with my family...Is something wrong?" The younger Zooli asked the older one.
"Oh….It was nothing... I'm just glad you have siblings... and that you have your parents... I guess not all of us are that lucky" Teen Zooli said quietly.
"What happened?" Cryo asked her.
"I only live with my aunt, my mother's sister. I never had any siblings and well... My parents... well... My parents died in a traffic accident" Teen Zooli tried to don't feel too bad.
"Ohhh...Sorry for the question...Sorry for being insensitive" Cryo quickly apologized.
"No, you don't have to apologize...You didn't know" Teen Zooli calmed him.
"I'm really sorry..." Young Zooli comforted her older self.
"Thanks for the empathy, but we have things to do. There are some people we need to kick in the butt" Teen Zooli changed the topic. All of them decided to return to Molly's house.
Finally, we returned to Molly's house, where the two Gils were waiting for some positive result regarding the recovery of the Ice Princess.
"Hey, I'm surprised you're so calm" Teen Gil admired.
"I was able to communicate with my family and everyone is fine. They evacuated the city in case something bad happens" Young Gil said calmly.
"Plus, you look calm, considering your Molly is unconscious" Teen Gil asked him.
"Believe me, I've seen her worse... There were many times when I thought I would lose her... (sigh) I wish I was more powerful so I could help her more and prevent her from being so hurt" Young Gil said sadly.
"The important thing is that you do everything you can to help her. She appreciates that very much...and I know that we will be stronger to defeat Pyros and Bossi" Teen Gil supported him.
"Heh…Thanks, me" Young Gil giggled a bit "Hey...your Molly hasn't said much, has she?"
"Yeah….Its strange…." Teen Gil noticed the same thing and they both approached the older version of Molly. She could only see the unconscious Ice Princess Molly "Dear….Is everything okay?"
"...No, Gilly….It was all my fault...I was impulsive and wanted to stop Jane without a real plan...The other Molly wouldn't be like this" Teen Molly said regretfully. Her boyfriend simply touched her back to comfort her.
"Don't blame yourself for everything. Pyros is too powerful. More than we expected. Don't blame yourself, you didn't know the level of threat" Teen Gil comforted her.
"My Molly was also impulsive in facing Pyros directly. You two are no different. But I know her better than anyone. She will rise from this and be stronger. That's how she has been" Young Gil calmed them a bit.
"I just hope we can stop Pyros, Bossi and Jane once and for all…." Teen Molly said.

"We know the way. Let's go" Young Gil said. The eldest Molly picked up Ice Princess Molly and carried her to the outskirts of the house. Cryo used his ice magic to create a good-sized sleigh to carry the unconscious Molly. The sleigh was propelled by crystalline ice reindeers.
"Wow! Very incredible" Urchin said surprisedly, like the rest.
"You really learned some new tricks" Young Zooli flattered him.
"Unfortunately, there isn't enough for everyone, but at least we'll be able to carry Molly safely. Urchin, please ride on the sled with me. The road to BlizzardTucky is too dangerous...especially for someone in a wheelchair" Cryo offered. The boy agreed and now Cryo and Urchin were on the sleigh, taking care of the Ice Princess. The others were ready to begin their journey on foot.
"Promise me that you will save my sister" Mason asked them.
"Please!" Mia begged.
"We promise. I promise with my life" Teen Molly said determinedly. They all said goodbye and the 2 groups of Bubble Guppies began their journey to reach BlizzardTucky in hopes of saving the Ice Princess.
"Heading to BlizzardTucky!" Young Deema said excitedly, marking the start of the journey. While for the Young Bubble Guppies, this was already familiar, for the Teen Bubble Guppies it was a new and even terrifying experience, as they did not know the dangers they were going to experience. In addition to their low combat skills compared to their younger counterparts and compared to their enemies. Without a doubt, in order to have a chance, they had to save the Ice Princess. However, it seems that someone was watching everything from a distance and in secret.
