"Taking a crap on the establishment, I salute you," Spider-Punk said to Annie after she was changed and the baby nodded back at him as she playfully saluted him.
"Wait, what are you upset about? We saved those people." Venom said in confusion as Miguel, at last, dropped from his slow-ass platform.
"And that's the problem. Lyla, do the thing," Miguel requested and his AI showcased an impressive demonstration of the web. "This is all of us, all of our lives, all held together in a beautiful web of life and destiny."
"The Spider-Verse." Spider-Man declared as Miguel scoffed and rolled his eyes.
"That's stupid."
"How? That name is catchy as hell." Anti Venom says as Miguel shakes his head.
"No, it doesn't. What it is really called is the Aracno-Humanoid Poly Multiverse," Miguel says as everyone, including the freaking baby, has him dry and unamused looks. "Which sounds...stupid too I guess,"
"Spider-Verse it is," Venom says while sharing a high-five with Spider-Man as Anti Venom goes over to investigate the glowing red lines.
"And in these notes is where the lines converge?" Anti Venom asked as he was looking at the instances where the Spider People were bitten by their spiders.
"They are the canon, chapters that are part of every spider story everytime. Some good." Miguel says as there is a note of romantic moments. "Some bad," Miguel says as there was a note of the Venom Symbiote taking over people...Eddie was not appreciative of that one, to say the least. "Some very bad," Miguel says while showing the Canon Event, the loss of someone close to them, the most recent in the chain being Miles and Eddie losing Aaron as the girls went over to hug their boyfriend as Wayne patted Miles on the back to comfort him, but then grew sad upon seeing Carnage kill his Aunt.
"This one, Canon Event ASM90: A police captain close to Spider-Man dies saving a kid from falling rubble during a fight with an archnemesis," Miguel says while showing a panel of the most famous example of the scene on the comic version of Earth 616 of Spider-Man.
"Captain Stacy...I'm so sorry." The Earth 616 Spider-Man Hologram sobbed as he cradled the lifeless body of the captain and the name caused Eddie to hold onto Gwen more tightly, and there were countless more examples...even Peter B Parker, who didn't have the heart to see one of his greatest failures.
"That happened to you?" Spider-Man asked softly as Spider-Man B and Spider-Woman nodded as the Spider Duo then turned to Spider-Punk.
"Hey, what of it?"
"That's how our stories are supposed to go." Miguel dictated as he stepped forward. "Canon events are the connections that bind our lives together. And those connections can't be broken, that's why Anomalies..." Miguel trailed off as he threw a look at Eddie in particular. "...are so dangerous. Inspector Singh's death was a canon event, neither of you was supposed to be there and you weren't supposed to save him or help that dimension's Spider-Man, that's why the girls tried to stop you." Miguel says with the Spider Duo being shocked to their core by this as even Wayne looks stunned.
"I thought you were trying to save us," Spider-Man says in disbelief as Venom couldn't believe it.
"Babes..." Venom says as none of them could look at them in the eyes.
"We were doing both," Gwen spoke for the three of them as Miguel stepped forward.
"And now, because you two changed the story, that dimension is unraveling," Miguel says as he shows the hole that the Spider People tried to contain. "If we're lucky we can stop that, we haven't always been lucky."
"That wasn't us, that was the Spot," Spider-Man pointed out as a firm Miguel glared at him.
"That's what happens when you break the Canon."
"How do you know?"
"...Because I've broken it once myself," Miguel confessed as he then showed them how he once replaced a version of himself that had died so he could continue his happy life with his wife and daughter...but then the dimension collapsed, all culminating with Miguel's daughter glitching out of existence in his arms. "If you break enough canon, save enough captains, we could lose everything," Miguel says as his narration culminates with all the webs on the Spider-Verse collapsing as Eddie and Miles struggle to control their breaths as their eyes widen in horror.
"My dad is about to be Captain..."
"Uncle Jeff..." Venom says, also arriving at the same conclusion as a huge wave of spider sense attacked them both, and it showed them what they saw before but more clearly with the Spot wreaking havoc in their home dimension as his words resonated in them once more, 'I'm going to take everything from you two like you took everything from me', and the last image that they saw was Jeff telling a kid in danger that he was coming.
"Spot does it," Spider-Man says in horror as he trembles. "He kills him," Spider-Man says as, after a moment of silence, Miles demands an answer. "When does it happen?" Spider-Man asked as, when none came, Eddie asked more forcefully.
"When does it happen?!" Venom asked furiously as, unbeknownst to everyone, the part of Venom had acquired its target and was now coming back.
"In two days when he's sworn in. I'm sorry, kids," Miguel says sincerely as Wayne turns to him seriously.
"Send them back home now."
"I can't do that, not now,"
"What are we supposed to do?! Just let him die?!" Venom asked in disbelief as Miles then turned to Gwen.
"What about your Dad?! He's a captain, right?!"
"Yeah..." Spider-Gwen said in her resignation as Miles glared at her.
"And that's it?! You're all not going to do anything about it?!"
"Jesus Christ, Gwen, I know that you had problems with your father, but this is fucking crazy!" Venom screamed while feeling angry as his buddy trembled a bit.
"What about Uncle Ben?" Anti Venom asked as he turned to Spider-Man B. "Would that have been ok if you knew and just let it play out?"
"If not for Uncle Ben, most of us wouldn't be here, kids, and all the good we did, it wouldn't have been done."
"Okay, I will give you a better choice, Peter. What if Canon tells you that Annie dies tomorrow, would you let that happen or try to save her? Tell me the truth." Spider-Man says to Peter B. Parker with a sharp glare as he points at a cooing Annie, and that leaves a horrified Peter at a loss for words as both Miles and Eddie turn back to Miguel.
"So we're supposed to let people die just because some algorithm says that's supposed to happen?! You realize how messed up that sounds, right?"
"You have a choice between saving one person and saving an entire world, every world," Miguel replied as slowly but surely they were being surrounded by multiple Spider-People.
"We can do both! Spider-man always-"
"Not always, Miles," SP/dr said sadly as Eddie glared at her.
"This one can! He has Venom on his side! How many Spider People can claim that!? I'll help him save everyone!"
"What about With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility?! If you all actively choose to let people die, even though you have all the power to stop it, then you are all actively spitting on your loved ones' graves! The deaths of the people that you let die is on your hands!" Venom shouted as Miguel turned to glare at him.
"Frederick, it's not our job to save every single person we meet. I have enough to deal with."
"You can't just mean that! You can't just ignore that my Dad is in danger!" Spider-Man says as Miguel glares at him.
"Hey, I'm trying to focus on what's important!"
"What's important is not standing by and allowing someone to suffer or die because you do nothing!" Venom shot back as Miles nodded with a glare.
"If you don't get that, then you don't know the first thing about being Spider-Man!"
"Frederick, Morales, we all want to live the life we wish we had. Believe me, I've tried, and the harder I tried, the more damage I did. You can't have it all, kids." Miguel says as it suddenly dawned on the Spider duo that they were completely surrounded. "Being Spider-man is a sacrifice, that's the job, that's what you both signed up for,"
"Wait a minute, why does this feel like an intervention?" Anti Venom asked nervously as Miles and Eddie got into wary stances.
"We know it's hard," Said a very iconic version of Spiderman whose run ended too soon. "But it's the truth, guys,"
"It's that why you are here?! To let us down easy?!" Spider-Man asked while glaring over at their friends as Wayne raised his hands in surrender.
"Hey, I had no idea what was going on either! I didn't know about Anomalies or about the Canon Event! I swear!"
"We believe you, Wayne, but you three, you WANTED me to join something like this? Are you serious?!" Eddie asked Gwen, Peni, and Hida with a stern glare.
"Eddie..."
"You girls...I can't believe you...do you have any idea how much I wanted what we have to flourish? All of the plans I had in mind? To have a future together? The dreams of the children we would have and yet...and yet...and yet...YOU WERE WILLING TO LET PEOPLE DIE BECAUSE FATE FUCKING SAYS SO?!" Eddie screamed, his control over Venom hanging by a thread as he was barely holding back the tendrils popping in and out of his body. "WHAT IF IT'S CANON THAT OUR CHILDREN DIE?! THAT I DIE!? THAT ANY OF YOU DIE?! ARE YOU WILLING TO LET FATE DICTATE YOUR LIVES?!" Venom says, finally snapping as all of the Spider People are on full alert, knowing full well how DANGEROUS a fully in-control Venom can be.
"Sorry it had to end like this, kids," Miguel said in remorse as he had trapped them both in a big red energy webbing cage and Hobbie gestured at them to use their Venom Shock as they nodded.
"DO NOT CALL US THAT!" The Spider Dup roared out as they broke through their cell with their Venom Blasts and Eddie retreated inside and gave Venom full control as he hulked out, becoming a complete behemoth of a man who tore apart the remaining imprisonment effortlessly and all of the Spider-People froze when they saw the fully transformed Eddie, who was glowering like a rabid animal.
"Eddie!" Spider-Gwen, SP/dr, and Sakura Spider yelled while trying to reach out to him, but stopped as Venom turned to them and its head momentarily retreated to show the face of a betrayed and crying Eddie, which left the girls feeling immense guilt and crying as well as Eddie then closed his eyes and Venom closed up his head as he turned to the other Spider-Men and lets out a loud savage roar.
"FUCK FATE! WE WON'T LET ANYONE THAT WE CARE ABOUT DIE, WHICH INCLUDES MILES' DAD!" Venom roared out as he then smiled viciously, and much to everyone's ever-growing horror, he revealed he had in his possession Miguel's injection of Spider Formula.
"DON'T" All of the Spider-People screamed as they all tried to take it away from him, but it was too late as he injected himself and therefore Eddie with it as the rush of power was instantaneous, and his size increased even more, veins were building all over, his fangs now dripped of paralyzing poison, his once big white eyes had now become a hellish shade of red, spikes sprouted from his back and forearms as deathly claws formed on his finger and toes, the spider symbol on his chest likewise grew and it acquired an even more menacing appearance.
"Now." His voice alone paralyzed everyone in the room, minus Miles, to their spots in pure, unadulterated terror, even Hobie. "We're more powerful than ever, we are Superior to all of you...WE ARE SUPERIOR VENOM! AND WE ARE SLAVES TO NO ONE!" Superior Venom roared out, rocking the very foundations of the building as all of the Spider People froze upon realizing that Eddie and Venom had become even MORE dangerous than before, especially since their Spider Senses were screaming at them to run right now, but luckily for them, the Spider Duo had other plans as Miles webbed himself onto Eddie's back and once he had secured himself safely onto his friend's back, Superior Venom then sped off at blinding speeds as Anti Venom was quick to web swing after them and all of the Spider-People then put on their masks.
"AFTER THEM!" Miguel ordered while pointing forward as all of the Spider-People ran after the boys, leaving behind Peter B. and the Girls as they shared a somber look.
"Oh, girls...what did we do?"
"...Lost a friend and a lover," Spider-Gwen says with tears running down her face as Peni and Hide struggle to not break down, but they are quick to recuperate to chase after them.
"Just for the record I quit," Spider-Punk says as he goes back to his dimension in the coolest way possible after building his own dimensional watch.
"All stations, drop what you're doing and stop those Spider-Men!" Miguel ordered through the intercom with a loud alarm ranging out as all of the Spider-Men began pointing at each other. "No, wait, stop Miles Morales, Eddie Brock, and Wayne Watanabe! They are entering Sector Four!" Miguel yelled as everyone turned to Sector 4 and spotted Spider-Man Iron walking onto the scene as he raised an eyebrow confusedly at all of the Spider-People glaring at him.
"Do I, uh, have web on my face? What's the deal?"
"Miles! Eddie! Wayne! Ri-They are right there They are right in-Turn around!" Miguel screamed while running down Sector Four as a bewildered Spider-Man Iron turned to him.
"I don't see anything, boss." Spider-Man Iron says while not noticing the trio running towards him with Eddie and Miles turning themselves and Wayne invisible as he then runs Spider-Man Iron over and turns themselves visible as they begin web swinging through the air with all of the Spider-People chasing after them as Eddie and the others were able to punch and kick him away before Spider-Man got knocked away by Spider-Cat, who spat white webbing into his face, causing him to toss the away cat away with an annoyed glare on his face.
"Can this day get any damn weirder?!" Spider-Man asked incredulously just as T-Rex Spider-Man appeared and tried to bite them, but thankfully, Superior Venom web swung over to punch him away.
"It can!" Anti Venom says while he and the others web swing through the cafeteria just as all of the Spider-People tackle them through the wall, interrupting a Therapy Session as they run forward with Anti Venom punches away Spider-Monkey and Spider-Pig as Webslinger appears and tried to raise his gun to fire web balls at them, but Spider-Man merely web blast him away as, pissed off as they were, Venom and Eddie were careful to only knock them out due to other realities needing them.
"How are we going to get out of here, bro?!" Spider-Man asked as Eddie turned to him.
"Remember the tour that we took earlier?" Superior Venom asked as Miles pursed his lips and perked up as he grinned slyly.
"Oh, hell yeah, I see what your plan is."
"But we need to lose the cargo!" Anti Venom says as Miles perked up.
"Hmm, don't worry, I have a plan, follow me!" Spider-Man shouted as we cue back to Spider-Man B and we see him running up to Miguel as he held out his phone.
"Hey, Miguel! Can you take a photo of this?! It's her first chase!" Spider-Man B says with an angry Annie firing a small blast of white webbing at Miguel's face just as he tries to jump off the platform but loses his vision and crashes down into the ground below. "Annie!" Spider-Man B scolded his daughter, who had no idea what was going on but was mad at Miguel for being mean to Miles, Wayne, and Eddie as we see said people web-swinging through the jail cells with all of the Supervillains cheering at them loudly and then booed at the rest of the Spider-People as Werewolf Spider-Man tried to bite them, but Spider-Man blasted him away with a small Venom Blast as Charlotte Webber AKA Sun-Spider crawled after them from the roof.
"Miles? Eddie? Wayne? I'm a huge fan of your work!"
"Thanks!" Spider-Man yelled as Sun-Spider eyed them curiously.
"Do you think Spider-People too often use comedy as a crutch? Get it? Crutch?" Sun-Spider asked jokingly while jumping off to whirl around a podium and tried to hit them with her legs but failed as Eddie punched her away.
"Yes and no and great pun!" Superior Venom says with a grin just as Spider-Man '67 appears as he tries to hit them...but misses completely due to his animation as they arrive at the Strength Condition Room and are able to lose them, only for Anti Venom to suddenly kick away a glaring Miguel as they all arrived at a room filled with Metro Spider-Man and all of the other Spider-People.
"There's nowhere to run." Metro Spider-Man says just as the trio turns around to run over to burst through the window as they disappear from sight. "...My bad, everybody, there was somewhere to run." Metro Spider-Man says with a wince before he and the others begin chasing after Eddie and the others, who summoned their Web Swings to glide through the air.
"Stop running!"
"Then stop chasing us!" Spider-Man screamed back, frustrating Miguel as Spider-Woman turned to the girls.
"I know that they are either your lover or friends, but it's the only way!"
"But our heart and gut says-,"
"Then use your head!" Spider-Woman says just Ben Reilley and the other clones leaped over to tackle the trio in mid-air.
"I've got you trapped in my well-defined musculature so don't even-," Ben Reilly bragged just as Superior Venom and Anti Venom used their Symbiotes to knock them away and Spider-Man then let out a huge Venom Blast that blinded all of the Spider-Men around them, except for Spider-Man B, who web swing to the other direction as the trio burst through the hole in the ground to appear underground and were quick to hide in a particularly silent spot with machinery surrounding it to take a breather just as the Spider-People swung past them as the trio sighed in relief and were planning to leave, but then-
"Guys!" Spider-Man B, Spider-Gwen, SP/dr, and Sakura Spider said while revealing themselves to the group as Anti Venom glared at them while Spider-Man and Superior Venom said nothing as they brushed past the group and began looking around for an escape.
"Look, we feel bad!" Spider-Man B says as Miles glares at him.
"Good!"
"This is just how stuff works! You're not gonna win!"
"We've been winning so far, haven't we?" Superior Venom replied as Gwen teared up.
"Baby! Please come back to us!"
"We're not just going to give up because fate wants to kill Miles's Dad. We're not cowards. We will fight for our own future." Anti Venom says as he and the others continue on their path as the rest of the Spider-People are desperate to get them to listen.
"You wanna hold my baby?!" Spider-Man B asked as he held out a cooing Annie. "You were so good at it before, Eddie!"
"What?!"
"It's gonna make all the difference!" Spider-Man B insisted but the trio were having none of it when they entered a closed chamber Peter then screamed. "Eddie! You and Miles are the reason I have her ok!" Spider-Man B shouted, making them stop right in their tracks as he and the others stepped forward. "I thought that if I did a half-decent job raising her, there was a chance that she could turn out like both of you! You two are such wonderful people and I liked being around you two!"
"Baby, please understand, we would never do anything to betray you. Ever since you came into my life, all the walls that I built around me collapsed as if they were nothing. You filled my life with light and fire that I thought had gone out permanently with my Peter."
"We would never do anything to lose you! And Miles is also one of the best friends that we ever had! My brother!" Sakura Spider says as SP/dr steps forward with anime tears forming waterfalls on her face.
"Anata, you're everything I'd ever wanted. You've been so wonderful and caring. My whole world has never been brighter. You not only gave me the man of my dreams but also the best friend and sisters I could have asked for. Miles too. You're so awesome in your unique style." SP/dr says as the words hit the Spider Duo, making both of them collapse on their knees and Superior Venom withdraws for the time being, letting Eddie take over, his dark blue eyes being blood red now and having vampire-like fangs like Miguel's as Anti Venom remained silent and studied them suspiciously.
"If that was true...then why are you trying to stop us? If you really cared about us, why are you trying to stop us from saving my Dad?" Spider-Man asked softly.
"Why didn't you try to defend us back there? How can you expect us to trust you all when the only person that helped us out back there is someone that we barely know?" Venom asked with a broken and bitter tone.
"Bad things are gonna happen," Spider-Man B says softly as he and the others bend down to their levels. "It makes us who we are, but good things happen too. Like you both, and she happened." Spider-Man B says as Annie jiggles and jumps onto Miles, who then awkwardly holds her as Peter laughs. "You're so bad at holding a baby. I feel bad when you and Jess get kids of your own." Spider-Man B says with Miles blushing as Gwen, Peni, and Hida hug Eddie as they guide his hands to their bellies.
"We are glad that you were so good with her back there, our hearts melted," Spider-Gwen said charmingly.
"And good thing you're a natural, Anata, because we're gonna have SO many little Spider Babies," SP/dr says with hearths as her eyes as Sakura Spider nodded.
"Heh, you bet we are." Sakura Spider says as Eddie smiles warmly and hugs them as he kisses their foreheads and Anti Venom smiles at this warmly, happy that everything worked out as, sadly, the moment was broken into a million pieces as their bracelets announced that EVERYONE knew their location.
"Wait! No, no! You don't have our location!" Spider-Man B screamed as Miles and Eddie slowly turned to them with the looks of betrayal and anger on their faces as Wayne looked saddened.
"Guys, please we didn't mean to do that!"
"Believe us, we just forgot to turn off our location!"
"We didn't mean to rat you out!" Spider-Gwen, SP/dr, and Sakura Spider pleaded as the group glared and seethed as Superior Venom took control again leaving Eddie's face exposed as he and Anti Venom then tore off the floor and Miles jumped on his friend's back.
"Gwen, Peni, Hida: We're fucking through!" Eddie spat at them before Superior Venom took over completely and they dived down.
"EDDIE!" Spider-Gwen, SP/dr, and Sakura Spiders screamed while dropping down to the ground and sobbing in unison as Peter tried to console them.
"Kids, please we gotta go, we gotta go after them!" Spider-Man B says as the chase continues, culminating with Superior Venom, Spider-Man, and Anti Venom escalating through the train at its maximum speed with their day passes destroyed during the chase and they began glitching as Miguel appeared and began chasing after them as Peter B. Parker and the Girs struggle to do the same.
"You're both the original anomalies! The Spiders that gave you two your powers weren't from your dimension! They weren't supposed to bite either of you! There's a world out there with no Spider-Man because they bit you two instead! If you two hadn't been bit, your Peter Parker would have lived-," That was as far as he got as Superior Venom shot a blast of white webbing at his face and yanked him towards himself.
"DON'T YOU FUCKING DARE USE HIS NAME IN VAIN!" Superior Venom roared at his face and then proceeded to beat Miguel within an inch of his life using his claws and tentacles as, once the bloodied Miguel was barely conscious, Eddie raised him into the air and prepared to knock him out, but then-
"You...don't...belong...with us...you never...did..." Miguel spat out as Peter B. Parker raised his head.
"Wait, Miguel, this isn't what we talked about!" Spider-Man B says as that was a slip of the tongue that would cost them dearly as Spider-Man, Anti Venom, and Superior Venom, who had removed half of his mask, looked at them like strangers.
"You talked about this?!"
"You knew?!
"YOU ALL KNEW?! YOU ALL FUCKING KNEW?!" Spider-Man, Anti Venom, and Superior Venom asked as Gwen lowered her head in somber defeat.
"We...We didn't know...how tell you..."
Their bonds had now truly shattered and It didn't matter that they were able to draw in hundreds of Spider-People to follow them due to the total betrayal that their lovers and friends had done to them as Eddie/Superior Venom gave a tight squeeze to Miguel's shoulder, breaking it as he stared him in the eye, and their overlapping voice said something that Miguel would NEVER be able to forget.
"I want you to remember that. I want to remind you to stay out of our way. In all the years to come, in your most private moments, I want you to remember the pair who beat you." Eddie/Superior Venom says as they then plunge him over to the rest of the society following them.
"Goodbye, everyone," Spider-Man and Anti Venom say somberly as Superior Venom, meanwhile, to sever all ties for good, had retrieved Eddie's anniversary necklace with a tentacle and threw it away, but luckily Peter B webbed it and caught it.
"Don't you EVER come back to our universe EVER again! Or you won't be coming back!" Superior Venom screamed with tears running down his rageful and betrayed face as Gwen, Peni, and Hida truly looked heartbroken by what he said as Eddie then closed up his head and he and his bro did their classic fist bump before the trio jumped off from the train as they reached over to grab Anti Venom and they all swiftly turned invisible as the boys disappeared from sight.

Also, I want to say that I decided to do this chapter early since it's both December and as a tribute to Tony Todd. Oh, and the epic Spider-Men Chase Scene took 4 years to animate, and I want to say that to clear up the confusion, I switched Mayday with Annie because my version of Mayday Parker is the same Mayday Parker from my Incredibles Story. My other author friend and I figured that this makes sense because Annie Parker is a ginger in the comics while Mayday has brown hair
