Scene after Harry discovers Sirius Black betraying his parents.

Harry ran over to Snape's office while under his invisibility cloak, crying. He knocked on the door, wanting to be let in. The door opened, Snape didn't see anybody out there. Thinking that his house was pulling a prank on him. He slammed the door. Going back over to his desk. As he sat, he heard this odd noise coming from his sofa. Realizing who it could be, he walked over to it.

"What do you want, Potter?"

Harry slipped off his cloak, "Will you stop with the Potter thing while it is just you and me in here?"

"It is a form of habit. What do you want, Harry?" Realizing he had been crying; he wondered what was wrong.

"I heard something awful about Sirius Black," he said in a sobby voice, "he was friends with my parents and he…they made him Godfather even. He betrayed them by telling You-Know-Who where they were. I guess they were hiding from him. Anyways, that rotten snitch betrayed them." Harry started crying in his hand. Snape put an arm around him.

"How did you find out?" Harry told him he snuck into Hogsmeade and went over to a bar hall where the owner was talking to McGonagall and Fudge. Harry told Snape told him the whole story about him sneaking into Hogsmeade and catching Ms. McGonagall and Fudge talking about Sirius. He had to investigate when they sneaked into a room upstairs.

"Did you know about this?"

"That he was your Godfather? Or that he betrayed them?"

"Both?"

"No…I did not. I would have told you. I did, however, know about him being friends with your father…" He told his student that Sirius Black was his father's best friend. He helped bully Snape. And even told him about the time Sirius saved Snape's life. He didn't tell him what happened though and told Harry it was forbidden to speak of.

Harry wasn't concerned about that, he was concerned about something else, "Why didn't you tell me any of this? Don't you think it would have been important to know that my father was friends with a criminal?"

"Well…Dumbledore knows about us being at least friends. He forbade me to tell you. He thought that; if you knew about it, you would go after Sirius Black."

"I guess I understand that," he wiped his eyes, as Snape held him, "because now that I know about it, I hope he finds me, because when he does…" he lets go of him, "I will be ready for him and I am going to kill him."

"Don't do something stupid Harry. This is why we didn't tell you…. He can change into a dog and when he changes into one he can be very dangerous." He told him how Sirius changed into a dog once or twice and tortured Snape. He had to even climb trees to get away from him, "He is a dangerous man, Harry."

"I don't care…I will end his life."

"Well, I am still your teacher and as your teacher I will forbid you to go after the dog. If you do, I will make you stay here the whole Summer both this year since you already told me you will stay here and then we will be here for next summer for detention too. Which means we will not be able to do anything while being here for two whole summers. Have I made myself clear?"

Harry didn't want to lose a moment of being with Snape at night at the Dursleys for two whole years. Sneaking in at midnight and silencing his room so no one can hear anything, but this was bigger than that, "You really think that would stop me?"

"I was hoping that would," Snape was a bit hurt by that, "But you did promise me in the second year that you wouldn't go into dangerous situations. You remember that, right?"

Harry sighs, "Yeah I remember telling you that."

"Well Harry, I will be giving you a month's detention for sneaking into Hogsmeade and eavesdropping. Starting tonight."

He decided he will go behind Snape's back and still get Sirius Black.

"Can you teach me how to make the dementors go away again?"

"Yes, let's begin the lesson now then, get ready."

Harry went over Snape and kissed him on the lips, "Thank you."

"No problem. Get ready I said."

"OK I am ready."

"Remember the spell Patronus charm that I taught you," Harry nodded, "this spell will shield you from the dementors. It is like a protective charm against them. You do well to remember this one."

"Yes Professor."

"Now for it to work you need think of a powerful memory."

"Do you have one?" Harry told him he does, "now concentrate on it and keep repeating Expecto Patronum."

"OK."

"Let's head out."

"Where are we going?"

"To meet a dementor of course."

Harry was a bit worried about that, "Oh great."

They went out of the castle to go over one of the dementors. Seeing them he started swaying over to them, "Get ready Potter." Harry looked over at Snape, "We are in Public right now. Now get ready to fight him."

Harry thought of a powerful memory as the dementor came over. "Expecto Patronum."

"Louder Potter!"

"Expecto Patronum!" It didn't work as the dementor started sucking his soul, making him pass out.

"Potter?" Harry Snape calling him a couple times, "wake up Potter?"

He woke up, looking around, they were back in Snape's office.

"Here," Snape hands him a potion, "drink it."

"But?" Snape gave him a glare. He drank it, "Oh that's good. What is it?"

"It is a calming potion. My own recipe."

Harry was happy to drink something that Snape made from his own recipe. "What happened?"

"You fainted after saying the charm. We will try again another day."

"Come on I will be better this time and quicker."

"No."

"Alright another time works then."

"For now, lay on this sofa and rest."

Harry did just that. "Can I ask you something Professor?"

Snape was going to say that it is OK to just call him Severus, but he is still his teacher.

"I feel more comfortable if I call you just Potter. Since you are still my student."

"Alright if that is how you feel."

"Good now that we have that out of the way; what is it, Potter?"

"How come the dementors affect me so?"

"Because you are their target."

"But why am I, their target?"

"You have things in your past that the dementors feed on."

"You mean when my mother died?"

Snape winced at that, "Yes...when she died. The dementors know that and not to mention it, you stopped the Dark Lord. They know that too."

"I was hospitalized because one of them tried to suck my soul out while I was playing Quidditch."

"Yes, I remember that. I was one of them who brought you to The Hospital Wing. Potter, I think it's best if you stayed inside the castle while they are roaming around?"

Harry couldn't agree more. He wondered how he would do the monster class then.

"Hagrid can't do magic so he wouldn't be able to fight them off, so it's better if you don't attend to any more of those classes."

"At all?"

"During this year, yes. I will speak to Dumbledore about that and see if he agrees with me."
