October 8, 2024
Tuesday came as did the Phoenix costume! Caro was thrilled to see it and was also anxious since I only wanted him to try it on as soon as Liu comes back! I'd shown him the classic Nicktoon, Aaahh! Real Monsters! since it was another idea for Halloween, and it was a nice slight distraction from his uneasiness on the new Phoenix costume. When Liu was done from work, he changed Caro, and I had the costume at the ready. Caro actually enjoyed it very much, wearing the orange suit decorated with red, yellow and blue feathers; like a resemblance to his own Phoenix chick plushie, and just as adorable! I took a few pics and used my heart gem to hopefully keep the memories like a video camera would. I can't wait for Caro to wear it for his first trick-or-treating! Or even if he can learn how to fly and wear that with Liu's Phoenix Animality! We've still yet to decide on costumes for the two of us, though... I can't be sure what since it's been ages since I'd dressed up...

Liu noticed Caro grew another new tooth at the top left corner of his mouth! He now has two baby dragon fangs, both at the top of his mouth!

Caro was still into the baby Halloween specials, to the point where he really loves bats next to his own kind and phoenixes; it'd be difficult to store away his new bat plushies when Halloween is over. But they seem to be very casual for any time of year. My Halloween dragon costume arrived today, as brought by Liu Kang, and his shall be delivered tomorrow. We also had mosi ramen with deviled eggs which was delicious and exotic while Caro had it pureed which he enjoyed! He also learned how to mimic flapping his wings as he watched bats fly on TV a lot! The lychee boba Liu had was also an interesting and exotic choice while I'd the Oreo, and Caro was drinking apple cider as if they were about to go out of style!
I also tried Looney Tunes, but Caro wasn't really into it; I doubt he'd be into the Sylvester and Tweety Mysteries. It's a shame since I happen to like the Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote shorts. Although when Liu shown him Road Runner, which we both like, Caro seemed to enjoy it more.

Caro got tired and slept a lot after playing with the cloned Geras; he's starting to like his guardian more, and I'm glad for it since only he took care of him while we're at work on Fridays. I wonder if Geras can train Caro once he's ready.

Liu stated Caro was napping once I returned from work; it was a stressful day as he kept crying, mostly for me... I hope my heart gems, preferably 1 for Caro and 1 for Liu, would soothe them; maybe give an inclination on what the baby's discomforts are. Tomorrow he wasn't so bad; Liu said he was well-behaved, even after he took him for a walk while the dragon was in the stroller.

Liu just got Caro a new wooly mammoth plushie in which he greatly enjoyed! Even the day after, Caro still adored it so much that he never wanted to be separated from it, so I'd to keep it close to him when I should feed or change him. He even sleeps with it a lot too.

Liu Kang bought Caro more bat and dragon toys; I hope he won't always stray from his beloved mammoth.

On that night, Liu Kang bought some boba for us, but it seemed to be too intolerable for an infant. So, this was the first time he actually tried chocolate milk, and he really loved it!

The family went trick-or-treating, all around the Fengjian Village. I heard once in America that it has corrupted the tradition whereas some towns forbid it, some have different dates before Halloween, some even do trunk-or-treating in parking lots instead of door to door because of the increase in criminals and have candy encase meds or weapons. Thankfully, it never happened, although some had to be pureed for Caro other than the given pudding. It was fun nonetheless and everyone adored our cute costumes.

As I returned from work, Liu informed me that he had to change Caro 3 times; he seemed alarmed about it, but we used to change him 3 times since we first had him, then it dwindled to 2. I once heard an infant'd be changed around 6 times, but I assured if it happens again, he should be monitored and taken to the vet. Thankfully it never happened again.

As I came home from work, Liu stated that he tried to teach Caro how to stand and walk; he has made a few steps, though... On the day before, November 9th, I'd managed to get a new winter outfit for him during my break; however, I wasn't sure on a jacket nor sweater.

I first observed Caro standing up on all four shaky legs and tried to walk. He hasn't mastered it and he'd been having trouble coordinating his feet. Liu then observed the same thing, despite him encouraging the baby and me going on all fours showing him. He kept getting discouraged on learning how to walk on account on his struggles to prevent from falling and hardly moving...

During my break from work, I'd managed to find a turkey plushie for Caro, the Beanie Baby named Gobbles; one of the several Beanie Babies I used to own when I was a tween.

Around the afternoon, Caro and I saw a few grown birds of prey fly over us, soon after came the geese flocking in an arrow-like formation. I noticed since it's gonna rain late tonight and the cold temps'd follow, it was just that time for migration. Caro went giddy seeing other animals fly, and he was so excited, he almost slipped out when I was holding him! May the Gods bless him to fly someday...
A few days later, Liu thought that Caro reminds him of Dragonite from Pokémon. I was skeptical since it tends to be an overrated Pseudo-Legendary, but he mostly admires it for its cuteness; I hope I'll reconsider as such since I didn't mind Dragonite when I was younger. I hope Caro shall grow up as versatile, noble, and adorable like it too.

It's indeed not only Caro's but also clone Liu Kang's first Thanksgiving; the latter seems to be familiar with the customs since he plans on using the turkey! He has actually prepared the food already for the upcoming occasion. The good thing is it'll be just the 3 of us, and it'll also be about family rather than mourning or dominance. We actually had turkey for lunch, then berry cake after, and a few hours later we chicken and rice; it was all pureed for Caro! Before we had dinner though, while we were playing, Caro mumbled some t sounds, then he burst out laughing! Liu and I thought he was about to say his first word. Needless to say, we were stuffed and lethargic.

One morning, Liu decided to take Caro outside while he was checking the mail. He placed the dragon the ground, when all a sudden, he actually learnt how to walk! Liu hollered, Aiko, come here! Look at Caro! We watched him take his slow first steps!
Later that night and each day, Caro started to improve more on his walking and fell a lot less. I wanted to give him this Rudolph plushie I used to have since I was a tween, but Liu wanted to save that till Christmas.
