[Image description: A beautiful picture of a silver fish, its scales shining with iridescent blue and green. If it's possible for a fish to look sad, this one does. The sun is shining, the water is crystal clear, and someone has obviously introduced the photographer to the camera settings since the last round of posts, because the blue cast is gone.]

Meet Eloise
Species: Bluefin Tuna (Thunnus orientalis)
Likes: Swimming in clean water with her friends
Dislikes: Losing friends and family to predators, especially humans
What she wants to tell humans: Fishing nets kill! Especially when lazy fishermen toss their old nets overboard instead of disposing of them properly!

SneakySneaky: enough of the low effort posts!
-20kLeaguesUnder: SneakySneaky: low effort!?
-SneakySneaky: 20kLeaguesUnder: for him? yeah

TheBrineyDeep: Your comments show that you're new to diving, so you might not have learned that you should never harass the wildlife. Just exist in their space and appreciate that they are willing to come near you
-Son_Of_Neptune: TheBrineyDeep: absolutely! Consent is important. I'd never bother anyone who wanted to be left alone. Anyone I photographed was happy to talk to me. I need to figure out how to record videos. Betty gave me a tour of her burrow, and it was really cool

"Uh oh. That look in your eyes doesn't bode well for someone."

"I don't know what you're talking about."

Percy had returned to their apartment a full hour after he usually would on Thursdays. Normally Annabeth would assume he had lunch with a friend, but he was holding his GoPro—a not uncommon sight these days.

"I've known you far too long to fall for that fake innocent look, Seaweed Brain. You're currently ahead in your beef with Rachel, so someone else must have annoyed you."

"Beef? Never mind. You know how I went for a swim in the Little Tiber to get that picture of Hiram? When I was down there, I saw way too much litter. I expect it in New York, but if anyone tossed their trash in the lake at camp, the nymphs would have tossed it right back. So I went down with a bag and picked up as much as I could."

"I don't suppose you're just going to tell Frank and Hazel like a reasonable person, are you?" Annabeth clearly didn't believe he would.

"I will eventually." Percy's troublemaker grin was firmly in place.

"I do not want to know."

A/N: We're starting to get into the scuba diving stuff. Guys, with regards to this sport, think of me like AI: We both can string together words that sound vaguely correct, and we're occasionally entertaining, but neither of us have any actual understanding of the subject, and neither should be relied upon for life-saving advice. Seriously, if you're interested, take a class. There are a lot of ways to die doing this if you're not the child of a sea god.

Unlike AI, I cite my sources:

The youtube channel Scuba diver magazine has a lot of really good information about how to dive correctly

The channel Dive Talk has a lot information about what happens when you don't dive correctly (spoiler alert: you probably die)

And r/scuba on reddit directly inspired most of the knowledgeable-sounding replies
