Author's Note: Hello there, my readers! This is another one of my Spider-Man crossover fics, and this time, it's with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. No multiverse stuff this time, because I figured it would be easy to bring them together since they're both in New York. Also, the Peter/April ship should be fun to write. I don't think it's too common, all things considered. And finally, if people want to know which design of April I'm using, I'm using her classic 1987 design. Just to clarify, this story isn't set in the 80's and it's my own take on how a Spider-Man and TMNT crossover would go.

With that being said, let's get started. Enjoy the chapter!

Chapter 1: Peter's New Job

Channel 6 News

BGM: Spider-Man 3 Game Soundtrack - Daily Bugle #1

Peter Parker stood in the bustling Channel 6 newsroom, feeling the weight of his first official day settling onto his shoulders. It was loud, chaotic, and, honestly, a bit overwhelming. People were darting around, phones ringing, teleprompters buzzing, and last-minute edits being made to scripts. It was exactly the kind of frenetic environment he was used to, albeit a different kind of chaos than his usual gig at the Daily Bugle. At the Bugle, the chaos stemmed from J. Jonah Jameson's temper and the never-ending chase for the next big headline. Here at Channel 6, it was about stories, breaking news, and fast-paced live broadcasts.

Peter adjusted his glasses and sighed, feeling that familiar tug in his chest. His new job, while exciting, only added to his already overflowing plate. Between his duties at the Bugle, trying to make rent, and, of course, his Spider-Man responsibilities that seemed to pop up at the most inopportune times, Peter couldn't help but laugh to himself. "How am I supposed to juggle all of this?" he thought. With great power came great responsibility, but sometimes he wished that great responsibility came with a better calendar app.

He leaned against the wall of the newsroom, trying to catch his breath for a moment. His phone buzzed in his pocket—another reminder from Aunt May about dinner plans that Peter was already starting to feel guilty about missing. As he looked down at the screen, he heard a soft voice break through his reverie.

"Hey there!" the voice said, pulling Peter's attention away from his phone.

He looked up and saw a woman approaching with a confident, yet friendly stride. She had a warm smile and wore a casual, yet professional look: yellow jumpsuit, shoulder length red hair, and a presence that seemed to light up the room. It was none other than April O'Neil, Channel 6's star reporter, and someone Peter had heard about during his brief orientation.

"Peter Parker," she said, extending her hand with a friendly shake. "I don't think we've met yet. I'm April O'Neil."

Peter blinked for a moment before taking her hand. "Oh, right! Yeah, I'm new here. Just started today, actually. Still trying to get the lay of the land." He chuckled nervously.

April smiled and nodded knowingly. "It's always a bit much on the first day. But don't worry, you'll get the hang of it." Her tone was reassuring. "I can tell you've got a lot of enthusiasm, and that's half the battle."

Peter felt a little better hearing that, but then April's expression shifted just slightly. She glanced to the left and then to the right before leaning in a bit and speaking in a hushed tone.

"Listen, a little heads-up," she started. "Watch out for Vernon Fenwick."

Peter raised an eyebrow. "Vernon? Who's that? And why should I watch out for him?"

April sighed, a wry smile tugging at her lips. "He's kind of... well, he's Vernon. He can be a bit annoying, and sometimes he says things that make you want to pull your hair out. Just don't let him get to you, okay?"

Peter chuckled at her warning, trying to picture someone annoying enough to warrant such caution. "I've worked with people like that before. I'm sure I'll survive."

"Good," April said, her smirk widening. "Just a little Channel 6 initiation. But I'm sure you'll be fine." She paused before adding, with a playful glint in her eyes, "And besides, if you're already hearing about work drama on your first day, I'd say you're officially part of the team now."

Peter shook his head in mock disbelief. "Great, already getting the gossip on day one. I'm moving up in the world."

April laughed, her eyes sparkling with a genuine warmth. Then, she glanced toward the back of the newsroom, where a producer was waving her over. "Duty calls. But hey, it was really nice meeting you, Peter."

Peter smiled back. "Yeah, you too, April."

As she turned to walk away, Peter couldn't help but glance at her for just a second longer, silently noting how beautiful she was. He quickly adjusted his posture, keeping his expression neutral, but his thoughts lingered. "Focus, Parker. You've got enough on your plate." he internally told himself.

April waved at him one last time before slipping into the busy rush of the newsroom, leaving Peter standing there for a moment, alone. The energy of the Channel 6 office still buzzed around him, but it felt quieter now, like a momentary lull in the storm. He was finally here, but Peter couldn't shake the feeling that he was still trying to figure out how to balance all the different parts of his life.

"Spider-Man, photographer, new employee…" He sighed and rubbed his temples. "What am I doing?" he asked himself, knowing it'll be tough to combine everything, but he's definitely not going to give up.

With a nervous chuckle, Peter decided to get back to it. There was work to be done, both on the clock and in his other life. The day was just beginning, and he still had a lot to learn.

TMNT Lair

BGM: TMNT 1987 Main Theme Instrumental

Deep beneath the streets of New York City, in a hidden sewer lair, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were scattered throughout their familiar home, each one engrossed in their own activities.

Leonardo sat cross-legged in a quiet corner, his eyes closed in deep meditation. His breathing was steady, slow, and controlled as he focused on finding balance and peace amidst the chaos of their daily lives. Despite the distractions of the bustling city above, Leo was determined to maintain his inner calm.

Raphael, on the other hand, was anything but calm. He was in the midst of an intense training session, his sharp movements cutting through the air as his fists pummeled the punching bag with the kind of aggression only Raph could muster. Sweat beaded on his brow, but his focus was unwavering, the sounds of his punches echoing throughout the lair.

Donatello was hunched over his computer, furiously typing away at a complicated piece of code. His mind was absorbed in solving yet another technological puzzle, his fingers dancing across the keys with lightning speed. He was oblivious to everything else around him, as he often was when he was deep in his work.

And then there was Michelangelo. The ever-enthusiastic, pizza-loving turtle, who was sprawled out on the couch with a remote in hand. He was flipping through the channels, his mind wandering as he tried to find something worth watching. As he flicked to Channel 6, his eyes lit up.

"Whoa, check it out! It's April!" Mikey exclaimed, his voice rising with excitement as he leaned in closer to the TV. April O'Neil was on the screen, looking as professional as ever, delivering the latest news with her usual poise.

"Channel 6's own April O'Neil here, reporting live from New York City," she said, a confident smile on her face. "In today's news, Spider-Man has saved Joe's Pizza from a robbery. The popular pizza joint, located right here in Manhattan, was targeted by two armed robbers. But thanks to the wall-crawler, they were quickly apprehended, and owner Mr. Aziz was kind enough to offer Spider-Man free pizza for life."

The screen cut to a shot of a steaming, delicious pizza being placed on the counter of Joe's Pizza, with the camera focusing on the cheesy, mouth-watering slice. Mikey's stomach grumbled loudly in response.

"Now that's what I'm talking about!" Mikey said, his eyes glued to the screen, mouth watering. "I could totally go for a pizza like that right now."

His brothers heard his outburst, but none of them were immediately paying attention. However, Mikey had an idea. He turned to them, his enthusiasm bubbling over.

"Hey, guys! Do you think we'll ever meet Spider-Man?" he asked, his voice filled with curiosity.

Donatello paused, looking up from his screen. He scratched his chin thoughtfully. "It's possible," he said, his mind already calculating the likelihood of a Spider-Man encounter. "He's out there fighting crime, just like us. We've crossed paths with other heroes before, so it wouldn't be too surprising."

Raphael, still pounding away at the punching bag, barely looked up. "Eh, who cares about meeting him?" he muttered, gruffly. "As long as he's doing his thing and staying out of our way, it's all good."

Mikey's eyes narrowed, and he immediately shot back, "Come on, Raph, you gotta admit it'd be cool to team up with him! I mean, the guy's got webs, and he fights bad guys all over the place."

Raphael grunted, but didn't say anything more. Leo, meanwhile, was still deep in his meditation, his mind elsewhere. Mikey, not getting a response, called his brother's name louder.

"Leo! You hear me?"

Leo let out a soft sigh, his focus interrupted. His eyes slowly opened, and he glanced toward Mikey, clearly trying to maintain his composure. "I'm trying to meditate, Mikey," he said, his voice calm and patient.

Mikey grinned, not discouraged in the slightest. "Yeah, yeah, I know. But seriously, Leo. Do you think we'll ever meet Spider-Man?"

Leonardo's eyes drifted to the side as he considered the question. "It would probably be... interesting," he said slowly, still somewhat lost in his thoughts. "He's a skilled fighter, and he's got a lot of experience. I'm sure we could learn something from him if we ever teamed up."

Mikey's eyes lit up. "Yup! Think of the possibilities! The four of us, plus Spider-Man? It'd be like… the ultimate team-up! We could take down some major bad guys together!"

Raphael listened further, finally stopping his training for a moment. "You really think Spider-Man would get used to seeing giant turtles? You know, like us?"

Mikey, with his typical carefree attitude, grinned. "He fought a giant lizard, didn't he? I think giant turtles would be no big deal!"

Just as the conversation was getting more heated, the unmistakable sound of a voice echoed through the lair.

"Your attention, my sons," Master Splinter called from the entrance. He was carrying a few boxes of pizza, the delicious aroma filling the air and immediately capturing the attention of all the turtles.

"Pizza!" Mikey shouted, practically jumping out of his seat. His brothers quickly followed suit, all of them gathering around the table as Master Splinter placed the boxes down.

The turtles dug in, enjoying the warm, cheesy slices, but Mikey was still lost in his thoughts about Spider-Man.

"Hey, Master Splinter," Mikey asked between bites, "what do you think about Spider-Man? Do you think he's a good guy?"

Splinter paused, taking a moment to chew his slice before speaking thoughtfully. "Spider-Man is a hero, no doubt," he said, his eyes thoughtful. "He fights for the good of the city and helps protect those who cannot protect themselves. But..." He lowered his voice a little. "It is probably best that we stay away from him."

Donatello tilted his head in confusion. "Why do you think we should stay away, Master Splinter?"

Splinter set down his pizza, his expression turning serious. "Spider-Man has his own battles to fight. He has his own villains to contend with. We, too, have our own challenges. It would be unwise to interfere with his affairs—or invite more danger into our lives."

Leonardo nodded, but there was a hint of determination in his voice. "We can handle ourselves, Master Splinter. We've fought plenty of battles before."

Splinter smiled, his gaze softening. "I know that you are all capable, my sons. But it is not always about strength. It is about knowing when to fight and when to stay out of the fray."

Raph leaned back in his seat, taking a swig of soda as his tone became slightly more comedic. "We've been doing fine so far, right? I mean, we're still alive, aren't we?"

The room burst into laughter at Raph's blunt humor, and the turtles continued to enjoy their pizza, the weight of their conversation temporarily forgotten. But as they ate, Mikey couldn't help but imagine a future where he and his brothers stood side by side with Spider-Man, fighting together as one.

Channel 6 News

BGM: Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse Soundtrack - Sunflower Instrumental

Peter Parker's first day at Channel 6 News had felt like a whirlwind. As the hours ticked by, the excitement, chaos, and odd newness of the environment began to settle in. His mind raced with thoughts of deadlines, scripts, and interviews, but as lunchtime finally arrived, Peter let out a sigh of relief. His stomach had been reminding him for the past hour that it was time to take a break.

"Joe's Pizza," he thought. "That place never lets me down."

A quick glance at the clock confirmed it was time for lunch, and Peter decided that the small trip to Joe's would be a perfect way to unwind. After officially clocking out, he grabbed his bag and made his way through the streets of New York, the sounds of the city bustling around him as he ducked into the familiar pizzeria.

The warm scent of freshly baked pizza greeted him immediately as he walked through the door. He walked up to the counter and placed his order for a classic pepperoni pizza, tapping his foot in anticipation. As he waited, his eyes casually scanned the pizza joint. That's when he saw her.

April O'Neil. There she was, sitting at a booth, eating a slice of pizza and sitting by herself. She hadn't noticed him yet, but Peter froze for a moment. A feeling of slight surprise and a bit of nervousness washed over him.

When April glanced up, their eyes met, and Peter couldn't help but smile a little awkwardly. April's face lit up, and she greeted him with a friendly smile, raising an eyebrow.

"Peter," she said, her voice warm. "Fancy seeing you here."

Peter chuckled lightly, adjusting his glasses as he took a step closer to her booth, pizza in hand. "I didn't expect to run into you again today."

April's lips curled into a smirk, a playful glint in her eyes. "Oh? If I didn't know any better, I'd think that you were following me."

Peter's eyes widened comedically, shaking his head quickly. "No, no. I swear, I'm not stalking you! I just—uh, I just really like the pizza here. You know, same as you."

April laughed softly, clearly enjoying the moment. "I'm just messing with you, Peter. Sit down." Her tone softened, and she patted the seat across from her. "Come on, have lunch with me."

Peter's nerves relaxed slightly, his smile widening as he slid into the booth across from her. He took a bite of his pizza, savoring the familiar, comforting taste. After swallowing, he glanced over at April, curiosity evident in his eyes.

"So, do you come here often?" he asked, trying to keep the conversation light.

April nodded, taking another bite of her pizza. "Yeah, it's my favorite place in the city. Mr. Aziz always takes good care of me here." She paused, looking at Peter with a knowing expression. "What about you? I can tell you're a regular too."

Peter grinned, a bit sheepish. "Yeah, it's one of my favorites too." He gestured to the pizza in his hands. "How can anyone say no to this?"

As they continued eating, April brought up something Peter hadn't expected. "So, I'm sure you heard about Spider-Man helping out here recently. Stopped a couple of robbers and saved the day. Mr. Aziz even gave him free pizza for life as a reward."

Peter's smile remained neutral, but inwardly, his heart skipped a beat. He tried to keep his tone casual. "Yeah, Spider-Man seems like a lucky guy, getting free pizza for life."

April's eyes softened as she nodded. "He deserves it, though. I mean, he's always out there helping people. He really is a hero."

Peter couldn't help but smile at her words. "Yeah, I guess you're right. As long as he keeps doing the right thing, he deserves every bit of it."

They continued chatting about Spider-Man, with Peter doing his best to stay calm and collected. After a few moments, April shifted the conversation, asking Peter about his background.

"So, what did you do before Channel 6? I'm guessing this isn't your first gig, right?" she asked, curious.

Peter chuckled lightly, taking another bite of his pizza. "Well, actually, I worked at The Daily Bugle for a while. Still do, actually," he said, a bit sheepishly. "I gotta pay rent somehow."

April laughed, the sound warm and genuine. "Oh, tell me about it. With New York prices, I think everyone here's just trying to make rent." She paused, a slight smile on her face as she looked out the window. "But, honestly, even with the crazy rent and everything else, there's no place I'd rather be. This city's home."

Peter nodded in agreement. "Same here. New York's always been home for me, even with the insane rent and all the craziness that comes with living here." He shrugged a little, laughing softly. "There are days it makes me question my sanity, but at the end of the day, it's New York."

April smiled knowingly, leaning back a little in her seat. "Being a reporter, I've definitely questioned my sanity more than a few times." She raised an eyebrow, a hint of humor in her voice. "Life's always ready to punch you in the face, but you just have to get back up."

Peter nodded, his expression softening. He understood that better than anyone. Both as Peter Parker and Spider-Man, his life had been one constant challenge, testing him in ways he never expected. But somehow, he always found a way to keep moving forward.

As the conversation continued, they finished their lunch, and Peter glanced at the clock. "I should probably head back to Channel 6," he said, looking at April. "What about you? Mind if we walk back together?"

April smiled, giving a casual shrug. "I don't mind. We're heading to the same place anyway. I kinda expected this to happen."

Peter smiled back, rising from his seat as April did the same. They would leave Joe's Pizza and walk together, continuing their casual conversation. But then… Peter's Spider-Sense suddenly tingled. A familiar jolt of danger ran up his spine, and his body tensed instinctively.

April immediately noticed the change in his demeanor. Her brow furrowed with concern. "Peter? What's wrong?"

Peter's heart raced as he struggled to come up with an excuse. "I—I forgot to leave a tip," he stammered. "Sorry, April. You go on ahead without me."

Before she could protest, Peter was already running away as fast as possible down the street. April called after him, but her voice was lost in the wind as Peter turned a corner and darted into a nearby alley.

In the blink of an eye, Peter was pulling off his street clothes and donning his Spider-Man suit. His mind shifted gears, focusing on whatever threat was out there waiting for him.

"Great," Peter thought, sighing. "Of course, my Parker Luck strikes when I'm having a nice conversation with a beautiful girl like April. But duty calls."

With that, Spider-Man shot a web into the air and swung off into the city, ready to face whatever danger lurked around the corner.

And so, once again, Peter Parker's life as Spider-Man took precedence, leaving behind a simple lunch break and a friendly conversation, at least for now.
