Too Far – CH 1
Tory sighed as she sat at the bar. She had seen Robby and Sam when she came into the shop and wanted to run and leave but Kwon had been holding her arm and couldn't move. Tory swallowed as she watched Sam leave and Robby look down at the table, an unreadable expression on his face.
Tory sighed again and raised her hand.
"What can I get for you two?"
Tory was about to say "nothing" when Kwon answered.
"Two coke and rums please," Kwon said, and the bartender nodded and walked off to make them.
"You know it's typically called "rum and coke", Kwon," Tory told him, rolling her eyes.
"I don't care," Kwon told Tory, glaring at her.
Tory rolled her eyes again and took one of the two drinks when the bartender brought it over. Tory kept her eyes trained on the bar until she heard Robby's voice and slowly lifted her head. She watched as he ordered a Coke and almost smiled when she realized he wasn't drinking but that quickly changed when Kwon wrapped an arm around her. Tory quickly shoved it off of her but with Kwon's glare, she knew she was pushing him and felt her heart rate rising when Robby ordered some rum to be put in his coke too. Tory felt her heart drop. She was the cause of his failures, his drinking. She was making everything so much worse for him and Miyagi-Do and felt awful.
Tory swallowed back the growing emotion and downed her rum and coke, unknown to her that Kwon had added his own twist to the rum and coke.
Kwon smirked and once he was done with his drink he wrapped an arm around Tory's waist and led her out of the bar.
