CHAPTER 12

Celia used her invisibility ring and followed where they took Sansa in the Red Keep. She slipped in the door of her room as they laid her down on her bed. She stayed in the corner until everyone left the room.

She went over to Sansa and sat next to her and caressed her face saying softly, "My poor little girl. I'm so sorry I couldn't save our Papa. I pray you are wise enough to let me save you now. You must grow up now, Sansa and know you can't stay or be queen here anymore. Your fantasy and fancy dreams are broken. I will be here like a shadow to watch for when you are ready to finally leave this place my little naive sister. I will make them pay and stop this nonsense somehow." Celia went back to the corner and was invisible as the door opened and maids came in to tend to her sister.

The next day in the Throne Room in the Red Keep, Marillion the bard is singing a song for Joffrey and his retinue. Cersei stands by his side, while Sansa overlooks the scene from one of the colonnades.

The musician Marillion sings, "The boar's great tusks, they boded ill

For good King Robert's health

And the beast was every bit as fat

As Robert was himself

But our brave king cried,

"Do your worst!

l'll have your ugly head!

You're nowhere near as murd'rous as the lion in my bed"

King Robert lost his battle and

He failed his final test,

The lion ripped his balls off,

And the boar did all the rest."

Joffrey being facetious said, "Very amusing. lsn't it a funny song? Thank you for your rendition. l imagine it was even better received at that tavern."

Marillion said scared, "l'm so sorry, Your Grace. l'll never sing it again, l swear."

Joffrey said, flippantly, "Tell me, which do you favor, your fingers or your tongue?"

Marillion asked not understanding, "Your Grace?" Sansa looks at Joffrey, despondent.

Joffrey said casually, "Fingers or your tongue? lf you got to keep one, which would it be? Or l could just cut your throat."

Marillion said shaking, "Every man needs hands, Your Grace."

Joffrey said smiling, "Good. Tongue it is."

Marillion said begging, "Your Grace, please! l won't sing, Your Grace!

Joffrey said with authority, "Ser llyn, who better than you to carry out the sentence?" Celia was lurking and watching it all. The man Ser Ilyn took her father's head. He will die tonight. Celia made a wish for Ilyn Payne to die of a slow torturous painful stomach bleed. Soon enough would this Joffrey, Cersei and anyone else.

Marillion credit out, "l beg you! Please, no. No!" Ilyn Payne marches towards the fire to heat up his dagger.

Marillion screamed, "Your Grace, please. l beg you, l will never sing again! No!"

Joffrey sighed bored and said, "l'm done for the day. l'll leave the rest of the matters to you, Mother."

Marillion was screaming, "Your Grace, please!"

As Joffrey leaves with Meryn Trant and the Hound, he passes by Sansa. Marillion is still screaming and begging in the background.

Joffrey says, "You look quite nice."

Sansa says detached, "Thank you, my lord." She was masking her feelings.

Joffrey said snippy, "Your Grace. l'm King now."

Marillion was screaming, "Stop! No!"

Joffrey said, "Walk with me. l want to show you something." Sansa hesitated.

Sandor Clegane said to her, "Do as you're bid, child." Celia followed stealthily.

Joffrey and Sansa are outside, walking past a row of spears in the Red Keep. Trant and Clegane follow behind them.

Joffrey said, "And as soon as you've had your blood, l'll put a son in you. Mother says that shouldn't be long." Celia watches the cocky demon spawn.

The pikes have impaled heads on them. Sansa looks away. Celia really hated this little bastard.

Sansa shied away from looking, crying out, "No! Please, no!"

Joffrey said, pointing at one of the heads, "This one's your father. This one here. Look at it and see what happens to traitors."

Sansa said, "You promised to be merciful."

Joffrey said cockily, "l was. l gave him a clean death. Look at him."

Sansa said begging, "Please let me go home. l won't do any treason, l swea…"

Joffrey said demanding, "Mother says l'm still to marry you. So you'll stay here, and obey. Look at him!" Sansa looks up at the head of her father.

Joffrey said smiling, "Well?"

Sansa looked up and said, shutting down inside, "How long do l have to look?"

Joffrey laughed, "As long as it pleases me. Do you want to see the rest?"

Sansa said flatly, "lf it pleases Your Grace."

Joffrey said smugly, "That's your Septa there." The impaled head of a woman with the traditional Septa headscarf was on a pike.

Joffrey said maliciously, "l'll tell you what, l'm going to give you a present. After l raise my armies and kill your traitorous brother, l'm going to give you his head as well."

Sansa said, "Or maybe he'll give me yours." She looks defiantly at Joffrey, who cowers.

Joffrey said nastily, "My mother tells me a king should never strike his lady. Ser Meryn."

Ser Meryn strikes Sansa repeatedly with the back of his armoured hand, leaving her lip bloodied. Sansa notices the stone bridge Joffrey is on leads to a street some feet below. She moves forward to lunge at him from the edge, but she's stopped by the Hound. Celia stealthily walks on to the bridge and stabs the little bastard king in his shin, pushes him gently when he bent down crying out from the pain falling off the bridge to his death.

Sandor Clegane pulls Sansa back in surprise as Meryn Trant lunges forward to the bridge to try to catch Joffrey and stumbles from Celia's foot, tripping him as he falls to his death too.

Sandor is puzzled by what he sees but said, "Here, girl." He cleans her bloody lip with a rag. He says, "I have to hurry and report this. Save yourself some trouble, girl. Just give them what they want."

Sandor leaves in a hurry, leaving Sansa alone at the bridge. She looks at the heads atop the pikes and cries.

Celia followed her sister to her room. Sansa falls on her bed crying. Celia turned off her invisibility ring and sat next to her and started petting her head.

Sansa looked up at her in shock and said, blinking her eyes like she was dreaming, "Celia?"

Celia nodded, Sansa lunged into her arms. Celia petted her, kissing her head. Sansa asked, "How can you be here?"

Celia said softly, "I have invisibility magic. I'm going to get you out of here but I have a few tasks to do. You just do as you're told for now ok? Just know I am here, Sansa, and we are going to get out of here, ok? I'll be watching over you." Sansa nodded, kissing her on her cheek. Celia smiled and disappeared and reappeared. Sansa smiled. Celia winked with a smile and disappeared again. Celia went out the door and left to the confusion of the guards. Sansa watched the door open and close by itself. She felt better knowing her sister was here somewhere watching over her.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Cersei is upset, blaming everyone for Joffrey falling from the bridge. The preparation for a funeral had begun. Ser Meryn Trant's body is prepared by the Silent Sisters also to be sent to the House of Trant in the Stormlands.
In the Great Sept of Baelor, Joffrey's body is laid on a table in the center of the room. Cersei and Tommen stand around him. Cersei turns to Tommen. Celia is standing there watching them in the shadows invisible.
Cersei said to Tommen, "My sweet Joffrey, your brother is gone. Do you know what that means?" Tommen stays quiet before replying.
Tommen said thinking, "It means I'll become king."
Cersei said with her hand on his shoulder, "Yes, you will become king. What kind of king?"
Tommen said somberly, "A good king?"
Cersei said, "I think so too. You are a sweet boy. Don't worry I will help you rule." They stood there quietly.
Tyrion walked into the sept. He said to Tommen, "There you are, Tommen. Come with me and let's talk. Now, as the king, you will have to marry. Do you understand why?" Tyrion and Tommen begin walking up the steps to leave the Sept.
Tommen said matter of factly, "A king needs a queen."
Tyrion said, "Yes, but why? To further the family line. Do you know how that happens?"
Tommen said, "Yes."
Tyrion asked, "Yes, but has anyone explained the details to you?"
Tommen, trying to sound like an adult, said, "I don't think so. It's all relatively straightforward." They both step out of the sept and the door closes.
Jamie comes walking up to the sept steps and walks up to Tommen. He asks him, "How are you?"
Tommen said, "I'm all right."
Jamie said, "You are. You will be. I'll see to that." Tyrion and Tommen get into a palanquin and leave back to the Red Keep.
Jamie walks into the sept and walks up to his sister, Cersei. He turns to the High Septon and says, "Please give the queen a moment alone with her son."
High Septon said bowing, "Yes, my lord." The High Septon snaps his fingers and the priests leave the hall.
Cersei said, I bet it was Sansa who had something to do with Joffrey falling. I bet she killed him. Ser Meryn Trant tried to save my boy and fell to his death too." Celia was listening to see what this vicious woman was like to raise such a craven child.
Jamie said softly, "You don't know. He tripped or lost his balance is all."
Cersei said viciously, "Avenge him. Avenge our son. Kill Sansa Stark."
Jamie said, "Stop it, Cersei. You know that girl has nothing to do with it. It was an accident and you just want someone else to suffer for you."
Cersei said crying, "I want her dead. Please, Jaime. You have to. He was our son. Our baby boy."
Jamie consoles her. They kiss. Cersei steps back pushing him away from her and gasps.
Jamie said frustrated, "You're a hateful woman. Why have the gods made me love a hateful woman?" Jamie grabs Cersei and forcefully kisses her. He presses against her. Celia was getting nauseous.
Cersei pleaded, "Jaime, not here, please. Please." Jamie rips at her dress. They end up tangled on the floor by the altar.
Cersei fights him saying, "Stop it. Stop it. Stop."
Jamie continued fumbling through her clothes and said, "No."
Cersei peass, "Stop it. Stop." She continues to resist, but her resolve is weakening. They kiss, and Jamie brings her to the ground and forces himself on her.
Cersei said, turning her head from side to side, "Stop. Stop. It's not right." Jamie grunts as he enters her. Celia thought them completely disgusting and walked out of the sept to go check on Shadow in her room at the inn.
Celia heard them say as she was leaving. Cersei said, "It's not right. It's not right."
Jamie said, "I don't care."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Sitting in her room with Shadow, Celia said, "I'm sorry, Shadow, my love. I just can't have you with me right now because I have to do this alone and can't have you following me. It's very dangerous." She scratched his ear and laid down with him on the bed.

Celia has another vision….

'In an army tent, she sees her mother and her twin brother talking. Cateyn said to her son, "You don't want Balon Greyjoy for an ally."

Robb replied frustrated, "I need his ships. They say he has two hundred of them."

She snapped back disgusted, "They say a million rats live in the sewers of King's Landing. Shall we rally them to fight for us too?" She is preparing to go somewhere, gathering up various items.

He said, "I understand you don't trust Lord Greyjoy."

Catelyn said factually, "I don't trust Lord Greyjoy because he is not trustworthy. Your father had to go to war to end his rebellion."

He sighed and said, "Yes. And now I'm the one rebelling against the throne. Before me, it was my father. You married one rebel and mothered another."

She said, "I mothered more than just rebels, a fact you seem to have forgotten."

She asked, "Do you want to leave Sansa and Arya in the Queen's hands? I haven't heard a word about Arya. What are we fighting for if not for them? And whatever happened to Celia?"

Robb said, getting upset, "It's more complicated than that! You know it is." A long pause follows. Catelyn sits down.

She said, sighing, "It's time for me to go home. I haven't seen Bran or Rickon in months."

He snapped, "You can't go to Winterfell."

She said, affronted, "I beg your pardon?"

He said, "I'll send Rodrik to watch over the boys, 'cause tomorrow, you'll ride south to the Stormlands."

Catelyn asked surprised, "Why in the name of all the Gods…"

Robb said, "Because I need you to negotiate with Renly Baratheon. He's rallied an army of 100,000. You know him. You know his family."

She said, "I haven't seen Renly Baratheon since he was a boy. You have a hundred other lords…"

He said matter of factly, "Which of these lords do I trust more than you? If Renly sides with us, we'll outnumber them two to one. When they feel the jaws beginning to shut, they'll sue for peace. We'll get the girls back. We will find Celia wherever she is. Then we'll all go home for good."

She said, "I will ride at first light." He kisses Catelyn's forehead, and they embrace.

Robb said, "We will all be together again soon, I promise."

Catelyn said smiling, "You've done so well. Your father would be proud."

He paused and said, "Give Lord Renly my regards."

She said, "King Renly. There's a king in every corner now." The vision ends.'

Celia knew she was going to have to find some way of stopping this war. She knew she had to end a few more people to do this. She wanted that incestuous Cersei and liar Petyr Baelish gone along with a few others before she could leave King's Landing. She would be following Petyr Baelish when he comes back from wherever he went. She needed to go to his main brothel to see the layout. She overheard someone talking about where it was so she knew where to look. Celia thought, 'Go figure they give a whoremaster a political place on the King's council. Just brilliant.'
