The bustling inside the izakaya was the usual for a week-day; once the sun started to set, it became steadily filled by the neighborhood's youth, living the place up with their conversations and laughs. InuYasha came out of the inner kitchen, where they usually prepared the base of their dishes, and took his place on the outer one, which was exposed to the customers; every day they were more numerous, gathering in a crowd to watch how the ramen was prepared, or how many minutes it took for the gyozas to be ready. InuYasha made of his work a sort of show, which conferred the place a certain personal touch.
"You'll become as famous as a rockstar at this rate," Jinenji joked, as he handed him a new order after making his way through a group of girls, who had been coming for dinner for a couple of weeks now, and had made their nest at a table by InuYasha's workplace.
"I'll tell your mother you are still one to exaggerate everything," InuYasha warned him, his eyes on the order, reading what he needed to prepare next.
Jinenji stepped closer then, and gave him a more private answer.
"And I'll tell yours how you are looking for an apartment, to move out of her house," he smiled at him, to which InuYasha smiled back, and continued with his task.
That same night, Jinenji sent him a message of an apartment up for rent, a few streets away from the zone where the izakaya was.

InuYasha was exploring the rooms inside the apartment. It was the third he visited this week, and he found himself liking how everything was placed in this one; the kitchen and the bathroom were a few steps away from the entrance, then the living room had enough space for a couch, or a table. At one side of the main room, there was a door that one had to slide to one side, and that gave way to what could be a bedroom, and the rest of the place. There were some wide windows at the other side, with a great view of the fields, beyond the river. The apartment was small, compact if one had to seek a word, and it wasn't hard for him to imagine himself building a life by Kagome's side in it.
"So… it's available already?" He inquired to the realtor, who was giving him a tour of the place.
"Indeed, once the paperwork is done."
The positive answer encouraged him further, "Would you allow me to make a call?" He asked the agent.
"Of course," she accepted, and gave him a light bow before stepping out of the apartment, giving him some privacy.
InuYasha looked at the screen of his phone, reading Kagome's name beneath a picture of her, where she wore a serene expression. He tapped the call button, and waited to hear her voice.

A/N
Every time I finish one of these drabbles, I think how weird it feels to keep writing this story, and to still feel like I have so much I want to speak about it.
I'm glad I feel like this.
I hope you've enjoyed the read, and that you tell me.
Kisses,
Anyara.
