(Landing the Hit)

*January 15th, 1907*

*Iv Plains*

Dorothy and Betsy looked up at Rose, determined to land a blow on her as they planned on their next move, both were bruised due to their minor injuries.

"Alright, here's the plan. I'm going to distract Rose while you use the opportunity to hit her, okay?" Dorothy explained to her friend in between breaths while Betsy nodded understandably

. "Got it, Let's pass this training session with flying colors." Betsy responded as she charged up, the blue electricity flowing through her shoes, ready to resume the session.

Soon after, Dorothy flew towards Rose to distract her as Rose smirked at her.

"You're wide open, Dorothy!" Rose spoke to Dorothy in a stern voice, ready to attack her as she balled up her fists once more.

Right when Rose attempted to deliver a punch toward Dorothy, it went through her and that was due to Dorothy using an after-image.

"An after-image! Now all I need to do is.." Rose spoke to herself in a surprised manner, looking around before noticing someone approaching her from above, it was Betsy!

Betsy was in the air, ready to deliver a hard kick to Rose as the blue sparks of electricity from her shoes grew stronger.

"Take this!" Betsy cried out in hopes of landing a blow on her opponent as she used her feet to kick Rose.

Unfortunately, Rose quickly used her thinking and swift reflexes to catch Betsy's feet, chuckling while doing so.

"Too slow. If you want to help Dorothy and the others in defeating Zorya, then you need to do better than that, Betsy!" Rose advised Betsy; however, the response that followed was laughter from Betsy.

Following this, Betsy laughed before speaking to Rose.

"You're so focused on me that you're not paying attention to Dorothy." Betsy responded in a smug tone of voice as she let out a battle cry to charge up.

Once Betsy charged up, the blue sparks of electricity from her shoes came into contact with Rose, shocking her while she winced in pain.

Of course, Rose wasn't badly harmed by that shock pain and she smirked, throwing Betsy toward the ground.

"Now, where's.." Rose attempted to speak; however, her words were cut off by the sound of Dorothy's cry and this captured her attention as she looked to her right.

Once Rose looked to her right, Dorothy's eyes glared at her, ready to attack Rose.

"Gaia Impact Flash!" Dorothy cried out as a huge wave of energy from the cusp of her came rushing toward Rose, ready to attack.

The unexpected timing of the attack threw Rose off guard as she tried to evade it.

"Ah, I see. Trying to distract me, huh? Good plan but that's not going to work!" Rose spoke to Dorothy in a confident voice before evading the attack with such speed.

Unexpectedly! Dorothy smirked before using her hands to move the attack and it was now following Rose wherever she went.

"D-Damn! It's following me! Dorothy is one persistent girl." Rose thought to herself as she avoided the attack with ease; however, unknown to her, Betsy was on the move.

Betsy was in the air, watching Rose avoiding Dorothy's attack as she heard Blaze's voice from her shoes.

"Alright, Rose is distracted and she doesn't notice us at the moment! I want you to use an attack of mine, you can only use it once per day so don't screw it up, okay?" Blaze spoke to Betsy in a stern voice from the shoes as she nodded understandably.

"Got it! Just explain to me the basics." Betsy responded in a serious voice as she awaited further instructions from Blaze.

Soon after, Blaze began to explain the attack to Betsy as quickly as possible.

"Alright, this attack requires focus, okay? Now I want you to focus on your energy and once you're done, you fire at Rose, alright?" Blaze advised Betsy from the shoes with a determined voice while she was met with Betsy nodding.

"Got it! I won't let this go to waste!" Betsy responded with determination before focusing her energy, eager to attack Rose.

Soon after, Betsy slowly felt her power rise, and she saw Rose evading Dorothy's attack.

Back at the battlefield, Rose continued to evade the energy wave with great speed.

"I see, Dorothy plans to distract me while Betsy lands a blow on me. I must say, these girls are getting smarter by the minute!" Rose thought to herself while continuing to evade the energy attack.

The energy wave continued to follow Rose until the woman was tired of being chased around, her expression being that of annoyance.

"Alright! I had enough!" Rose cried in annoyance as she extended her hands to push back the attack.

This event caused Dorothy to put more power into the attack as she let out a cry.

"Rose isn't someone to take lightly! She's tough as nails, and that's why I gotta pass this training session!" Dorothy thought to herself while struggling to not allow Rose to push back her attack.

The struggle went on as Betsy was finished charging up, ready to attack Rose.

"Alright, now, fire! Don't fail me now!" Blaze commanded Betsy from the shoes as this was met with Betsy nodding, ready to attack.

Betsy felt the power flowing through her, and she turned her attention to Rose, who was pushing Dorothy's attack back.

"Electric Power Wave!" Betsy cried out as a gust of electric energy appeared from her hand.

Once the attack was ready, Betsy fired the attack at Rose to hit her, hoping that it was successful.

The attack came rushing toward Rose and this was quickly noticed by her, causing her to smirk at it.

"I can handle that attack as well!" Rose cried out as she used her right hand to quickly deflect the attack, pushing it back to Betsy.

This action shocked Betsy as her eyes widened at the attack that was rushing toward her with great speed.

Luckily, Blaze quickly spoke up to give her advice during the madness of everything.

"Quick! Push it back or you'll be in trouble!" Blaze advised Betsy from the shoes in a commanding voice that alerted Betsy and she nodded.

"Got it!" Betsy responded as she extended her hands toward the attack, ready to deflect it.

Once the attack came into contact with Betsy's hand, she let out a cry before pushing the attack back to Rose.

The electric ball came rushing toward Rose to hit her, and of course, Rose's quick reflexes noticed this.

"Come on, I know you can do better than that!" Rose spoke to Betsy as she attempted to deflect it; however, the attack went above her, shocking her.

"W- What?!" Rose cried out in shock, and it was that moment she knew she was in trouble.

During the chaos, Dorothy smirked, knowing this was a moment to attack.

"Gaia Impact Flash x2!" Dorothy cried out as this increased her attack, managing to give Rose some trouble.

Rose snickered at the turn of events, feeling proud of the two girls before looking up to see Betsy's attack rushing down on her, hitting her on the head as she felt a jolt of pain from the attack, causing her to cry out.

Soon after, Dorothy's attack successfully managed to overpower Rose, sending her towards the ground, and causing a small explosion.

"Rose!" Dorothy cried out as she flew down to where Rose was, ready to land a blow on her; however, this was caught by Rose.

Dorothy's fist came into contact with Rose's hand as she smiled at her student. Rose was slightly bruised by the attack, her clothes being torn; however, she wasn't injured in the slightest.

"For a human, you're quite strong, you are worthy of wielding the sword.." Rose spoke to Dorothy, ready to deliver a punch to her stomach; however, right when she did it, Dorothy used an after-image, catching her off guard.

"N-No wa.." Rose uttered, realizing that she had been fooled as she looked over to see Dorothy and Betsy charging at her with great speed.

Soon after, Dorothy and Betsy had a look of determination as they were ready to land a blow on Rose.

"I see, so Dorothy used an after-image as soon as the attack hit me. It seems she had to play smart to win, and not just that, Betsy's attack was a ploy to distract me..these girls.." Rose thought to herself with a chuckle, accepting her defeat.

Once Rose accepted her defeat, Dorothy and Betsy managed to deliver a powerful blow on each side of her cheek, successfully passing the training session.

This was followed by Flynn and Keiko cheering for the two girls as they saw them collapsing on the ground.

Dorothy reverted back to base form while she and Betsy passed out due to exhaustion from their training.

"They did it!" Flynn spoke out in a proud voice while Keiko nodded in agreement.

"Finally, the next part is Dorothy learning how to wield that sword and we should be ready to go." Keiko responded, feeling the same settlements as Flynn as she watched everything.

Back at the training field, Rose sat down on the grass, congratulating the girls.

"Good job, I knew the both of you could do it. I needed to test the both of you to see if you both were ready to take down Zorya and I was right." Rose spoke to Dorothy and Betsy, who were unconscious.

Thus ends Rose's intense training session; however there was work still needed to be done

*Winkie Country*

Meanwhile at Winkie Country, Alice wandered inside an old temple, the area being filled with plenty of statues, and there stood a yellow imperial sword with two Winkie statues on each side.

"Ah! There it is! Zorya is going to be so happy!" Alice spoke in a cheerful voice as she attempted to grab the sword; however, right when she did, the statue came to life, surprising Alice as she jumped back, preparing her defenses.

"State your name, allegiance, and your purpose in wanting the Sword of Winkie." The statue asked Alice in a calm voice as it awaited for its answer from the girl.

For a moment, Alice was ready to fight for the sword; however, she knew it would be wise to listen instead of fighting so she lowered her guard.

"My name is Alice, and I work for someone whom I love, and I want the sword to make that person happy." Alice responded politely, hoping her innocent demeanor was convincing enough to allow the statue to give her the sword.

The Winkie statue looked at Alice with glaring eyes, thinking about what it just heard.

Will Alice succeed in gaining the Sword of Winkie?!
