Phantom's End

"Do your worst! I won't scream no matter what!" Lucy was chained to the wall and received a few bruises, courtesy of Gajeel.

"Then let's see how long you can hold out!" Gajeel was going to hit her again, only for a noise to stop him. "Oh, looks like Master wants to talk." Gajeel took out a crystal lacrima and answered the call. "What is it, Master?"

"Gajeel! Make sure Lucy Heartfilia does not escape! Sasuke was beaten by the Uzumaki brat!" After Jose told him this, Gajeel could not hear anything, despite Jose still talking to him through the lacrima.

'H-he lost!?' Gajeel may have argued with Sasuke, but he respected his strength and considered them friendly rivals in their guild and even a friend. "Master….Don't worry…Sasuke may have lost but I…I won't lose." Gajeel's magic was released and made everyone in the room sweat, Lucy was especially fearful.

(With Jose)

"I know. Now you want vengeance, defeat all those who stand on your way. I saw the footage, Natsu Dragneel left our guild hall and most likely tracked you. Show him why you are the Ace of Phantom Lord!" Jose knew that he was losing, he could sense Aria, the last of his Elemental 4, defeated by Erza Scarlet. 'Juvia had also fallen against the one named Gray Fullbuster. And Sol was taken out because of his own foolishness….I guess I'll have to settle with the death of his 'children' and finish him off by myself!' Jose summoned more Shades, this batch was much stronger than the last.

(Back with Gajeel)

"Your friend made me mad. Sasuke may have been an ass, but he was one of us." Gajeel's right arm turned into a blade. "Master wanted you alive, but I'll carve you up before we hand you over to your pop!" Gajeel was going to maim Lucy, but an explosion occurred and made Gajeel stop.

(Fairy Tail OST-Natsu Theme)

The Iron Dragon Slayer turned around out of the smoke shot out a fireball which hit him dead on. Gajeel's guild mates attacked, only to be all taken out easily once they entered the smoke.

"Geehee! You followed my scent. Didn't you…..Salamander!" Gajeel got up with a crazy grin and saw the angry Natsu.

"Natsu…." Lucy had tears of joy.

"I'm going to end this war. You'll pay for hurting my friends….Iron Dragon!" Natsu was angry and charged Gajeel, who did the same.

(Back with Erza) (OST End)

'How could I lose?' Aria was defeated, even using his full power was not enough. He lost consciousness and laid in defeat.

'Master….I have defeated the one responsible for your condition.' Erza smiled in relief, then turned around as a voice called out to her.

"Erza!" Mirajane arrived, followed by Gray and Elfman. Mira was relieved to see Erza and the others defeat Phantom's top wizards. Phantom's guild hall collapsed but the group's victory was short-lived. The wizards all felt powerful and vile power emanate their location. 'T-This is such vile and evil power.' Mira placed her right hand over mouth in fear and disgust.

"You fairies have ruined my plans for long enough." Jose used his powers to knock out Gray, Elfman and Mira with a dark shockwave. 'That Mira girl…..she was considered a powerful wizard at one point, such a shame.' He waved his arm to release a dark wave, which blocked Erza's sword attack.

"Not yet!" Erza Re-Quipped into her Blackwing Armour and went for the attack again, except she was much faster. Jose jumped out of the way and pointed his right hand's index and middle finger, releasing a beam at Erza. It pierced her shoulder, but she carried through with her attack.

'Impressive. She can withstand my attack. No doubt if she had taken Jupiter's force, she would have survived. She has potential, in fact, in a couple of years she could pose a far greater challenge to me, even surpass me.' Jose could see talent and avoided Erza's blade. He then swiftly placed his left palm in front of Erza, who jumped back as dark blast was released from it.

'He's powerful, but that's to be expected from a Wizard Saint.' Erza was able to hold her own against Jose and would keep fighting until her last breath.

(Porlyusica's House)

'That fool left straight away.' Porlyusica was referring to Makarov, who was cured of his ailment after Aria's defeat and made haste towards Fairy Tail. She was picking up apples which fell from the trees, she then noticed a stranger pick up an apple which was blown away by the wind and landed by the stranger's feet. This stranger is Mystogan, one of Fairy Tail's S-Class wizards. "Mystogan. Why are you here?" 'I see, he must be the one who gathered Makarov's lost magic and helped with his recovery.'

"May I have this apple?" He asked her and ignored her question. He took a bite through his mask which annoyed Porlyusica. She then saw a flags blow past her and more being blown away by the wind.

'Those are the flags of Phantom's sub-divisions…..he defeated them all by himself!'

(Fairy Tail Guild vs Shades)

"They're wrecking the guild!" Many of the Fairy Tail wizards were overrun by Jose's Shades as their more powerful members were not around.

"Water Dragon's Roar!" A large group of Shades were taken out as Naruto returned to the battle. "Sorry I'm late guys! Had to deal with something!" Naruto may have been weakened, but he had some fight left in him.

"Took you long enough!" Macao said to him as he sent a fireball at a Shade. "I'm guessing you settled the score with Sasuke, am I right?" When Naruto smirked, he smiled. "I take that as a yes. So, what's the current score."

"50-50." Naruto may have been upset with what Sasuke was becoming, but he liked the fact he tied them up. "One more and I'll finally one up him!" Naruto was hit by a Shade from behind, but got back up and hit it back.

"Careful! You haven't recovered from your fight." Macao told him in concern, taking a hit from another Shade.

"Looks like you're the one who needs to rest Macao." Naruto punched the Shade. 'But he's not wrong, don't know if I'll last much longer.'

(Back with Natsu)

"Thanks for that Lucy." Natsu had powered up by eating flames which were created by Lucy's newest Celestial Spirit, Sagittarius, a man wearing a horse costume. Sagittarius used his arrows to shoot the machinery and create the fire, giving the Natsu the strength to surpass the already strengthened Gajeel. Gajeel ate iron to restore his strength before Natsu consumed his flames and had the advantage, but this time Natsu had the advantage.

(Play Fairy Tail OST-Main Theme)

Natsu began his counterattack and his ignited fist collided with Gajeel's bladed-arm. The blade shattered and Gajeel felt burned by the attack, jumping back, only for Natsu to follow him and knee his armoured stomach.

"Gah!" Gajeel was sent back, the armour in his stomach protected him from any major damage. 'He's not the same as before…..He's much stronger!' Gajeel tried taking the fight to Natsu, but Natsu was overpowering him faster than he could react.

"You hurt Levy!" An image of the chained up Levy flashed in Natsu's mind before he punched Gajeel's left side. "Jet!" Natsu kicked him backwards and followed up with another left hook. "Droy!" Natsu tossed him into the sky.

'I-I-I can't win!' Gajeel used his remaining power to strengthen his scales.

"Gramps and Kurama….My guild! Anyone who stands in our way will be devoured by me…the Salamander!" Natsu's hand were now covered in large light spheres. "Dragon Slayer Secret Art: Crimson Lotus! Fire Dragon's Fist!" Natsu's barrage of fists broke through Gajeel's armour and defeated him.

(OST End)

'He did it!' Lucy hugged Happy, both crying tears of joy. They flew out of harm's way during Natsu's rampage as he had destroyed the hideout.

(Back with Naruto's group)

"Looks like this is it! But I ain't going down without a fight!" Naruto was ready to use the last of his magic for one last attack, only for the Shades to dissipate as a wave of light hit them. 'T-This is…Gramps! You're back!'

(Back with Erza vs Jose)

"This is it Titania!" Jose was about to finish off Erza, much to the horror of the other three Fairy Tail wizards. Jose's dark blast was stopped by another light blast. "Well, well, well."

(Play Fairy Tail OST-Fairy Law)

Makarov had returned, floating from the ceiling. Erza and the other's were happy to see their Guild Master recovered.

"Master/Gramps!" Everyone exclaimed, with Gray being the only one to call him Gramps.

"I figured you would return. Makarov!" Jose smirked, enraging the seemingly calm Makarov.

"You caused this war and hurt my children. Not just mine, but yours as well. Their blood was spilled and for that….I will not forgive you!" Makarov's magic released a wave and this was queue for younger wizards to leave.

"Do you want a cataclysm?" Jose's eyes changed into a dark colour, indicating his bloodthirst. 'I have nothing more to lose. So, I'll show no mercy!'

Jose made the first move and sent a dark wave at Makarov. Makarov countered and shot out a light beam from his finger, piercing Jose's left shoulder, who shrugged it off and shot out his own dark beam. It hit Makarov's right shoulder, who simply motioned his right and magic circles appeared around Jose, hitting him with light blasts.

"Futile!" Jose had covered himself with darkness and prevented any major damage.

"You are talented Jose. Extremely powerful and you had a bright future ahead of you. Why did you throw it away!" Makarov was angry, he and Jose sent large beams of their respective elements, leading to a beam struggle.

"You think I need a reason? Last year you embarrassed me during the Guild Master's meeting, that only jump started my plans. No, Phantom Lord was once on top, the number one guild in Fiore. But you overtook us, your wizards became better known. Our guilds have rivalled each other long before we took over and now we end this rivalry!" Jose exclaimed as their attacks exploded.

"Then you leave me no choice." Makarov made a motion with both his hands as a light began to form. "As dictated by our guild's law, you have the count of three until I invoke Fairy Law. 1."

"Futile!" Jose kept firing dark beams from his fingertips, only for the light from Makarov to grow and emit beams which tore through his own.

"2." Makarov counted and felt Jose increase his powers again to form stronger attacks. "3! I invoke Fairy Law!" The light engulfed everything in its path.

(Replace OST with Fairy Tail OST-Magic Last) (Back with Natsu)

"That's Gramp's magic!" Natsu smiled whilst lying a large rubble.

(Naruto's group)

"Oh yeah! Gramps is showing no mercy!" The Fairy Tail wizards cheered and returned to their usual selves.

(Outskirts of Magnolia Town)

"Hmph. Made me waste my time." Laxus had arrived because he was secretly worried about the guild. 'Even if I turned up, they'll still hate me. Fairy Tail can't be weak, I must protect it.'

(OST End) (Back with Makarov)

"H-H-H-H…." Jose now looked much older and was shivering, weak because of the effects of Fairy Law.

"I spared your life Jose. Whilst blood was shed, none of my children lost their lives. Let this be a reminder of what happens when you attack my family. And you…." Makarov stretched his arm and punched Aria, who tried sneaking up on him to use the spell that took him out earlier. "….it's over!" He then breathed in and smiled. "Now you guys….go home!"

(Back with Natsu and Gajeel)

"Hey, Black Steel." Natsu called out to his fellow Dragon Slayer, who just barely stood up.

"What is it Salamander? Fight's over. You won." Gajeel accepted his loss much more gracefully than his Phantom Lord peers, though he was not happy about losing.

"Well, I wanted to ask you something about your dragon. Where you raised by a dragon too?" Natsu asked him in a civil manner.

"Yeah, his name was Metalicana. Haven't seen him for a long time, he disappeared. What about you?" Gajeel replied and countered with his own question.

"7 years ago, am I right? The year X777, on the…" Natsu

"On the seventh month and the seventh day….." He was briefly headbutted by Natsu who was annoyed by overuse of the number 7 and started a small argument with Gajeel, but they ceased their argument and continued talking. "Yeah, then I guess it's the same for you and Uzumaki." As soon as Gajeel mentioned Naruto, Natsu just scowled.

"Naruto's dad didn't disappear." Natsu told Gajeel in a cold tone, which reminded the Iron Dragon Slayer of his beatdown earlier. "His dad was killed." This shocked Gajeel completely until he returned back to former demeanour.

"Who or what killed him?" Gajeel asked.

"All I know is that it was a black dragon." Natsu told him before leaving.

(Unknown Location, a few days later)

"So, Phantom Lord was disbanded and Fairy Tail got a slap on the wrist?" Sasuke asked Jellal.

"Well, they were given a warning. They have some supporters in the council, unlike your guild. Sorry, former guild." Jellal smirked at Sasuke's angered expression. "I can tell, you don't really care about your guild mates at all. All you want is to defeat Naruto Uzumaki, right?"

"Watch your mouth! I don't care if you are a part of the council! That loser just got lucky, that's all!" Sasuke glared at the still smirking Jellal.

"As much as you want to deny it, he's gotten stronger. And he hasn't unlocked his full potential. He will leave you in his dust." Jellal's words just made Sasuke angrier. "So, would you like more power?"

"More power? How?" Sasuke calmed down and was suspicious, but his own thoughts betrayed him. 'I had to use the powers of those weaklings to match Naruto and still lost. My body is too weak and right I have nothing left to lose….'

"The power of a demon. This demon was defeated by a powerful wizard in the past and its body was kept as a trophy. However, the council at the time wanted to use its power for their own gain. Various people drank the demon's blood to gain its power. Instead, they all died from their attempt. Until recently, only one person was able to survive it." Jellal knew Sasuke was interested.

"So, is that supposed to stop me? I won't lose to him again!" Sasuke would do what he feels is needed to gain power.

"So, is that a yes?" Jellal titled his body to the side to avoid a lightning bolt from Sasuke's palm. 'He's all riled up. Good!'

"What's the catch? You wouldn't do this unless you get something out of this." Sasuke may be temperamental, but he was still smart enough to know that someone of Jellal's position wanted something.

"First things first. My real name is Jellal Fernandes….."

End. Sorry about this shorter chapter and long wait, a lot has happened. I have another job now, one I enjoy, but it keeps me busy. I basically shortened and summarised most of it, but obviously made a few changes from canon. Now we will see another big divergence from canon.
