New Demon

A lot had occurred after Fairy Tail was cleared of the charges as Phantom had instigated the Guild War. Lucy had returned home and confronted her father, threatening him not to come near her or Fairy Tail ever again. Jose went missing and Phantom was disbanded.

(Unknown Location)

Sasuke followed Jellal down to the basement, only stopping when Jellal stopped in front of giant doors.

"So, this is where the demon corpse is kept?" Sasuke asked the blue-haired man, who nodded.

"Yes. It was kept here after all experiments were considered failures. The military wanted to use it to create super soldiers and the council approved their request, but everyone who ingested the blood did not survive. Well not until Jugo and Kimimaro." Jellal saw that Sasuke was interested in hearing about them.

"You're referring to Kimimaro Kaguya. I've heard of him, but I have no idea on who Jugo is." Sasuke was taught by Kakashi Hatake and uses his brand of Lightning Magic, who fought against Kmimaro's old mentor, Zabuza Momochi.

"Jugo is one of the council's blunders, he gained the demon's power, but he lost his mind. He escaped and has not been seen since." Jellal told Sasuke with some seriousness in his voice.

"I see. I'm guessing Zabuza didn't drink it?" Sasuke enquired from Jellal. Sasuke just wanted confirmation due to the fact Jellal mentioned that only two people survived drinking the demon's blood.

"No. Zabuza never drank it, but I have no doubt he would have survived. Kimimaro was already powerful, the demon's blood gave him more power." Jellal surprised Sasuke with that information, who was impressed to hear that Zabuza could fight Kakashi evenly at one point without the blood of a demon.

"I think I heard enough. Open the doors." Sasuke ordered, though he was in no real position to do so. Jellal just opened the doors and allowed Sasuke to enter first. Sasuke eye's then widened as he saw the corpse of a grey demon, with bat-like wings. 'I can feel its power despite it being dead….I must have it!' Sasuke then saw Jellal make his way towards the demon with a chalice in his hand, using a dagger to cut it open. The blood began to squirt out, which Jellal used as a tap to fill the chalice.

'At last…power. Power to defeat that loser….and reach you….' Sasuke took the chalice and gulped down the blood. Almost instantly, Sasuke fell to his knees and dropped the chalice. He was coughing and hacking as black marks appeared on his face.

"That's it Sasuke! Let the power course through you! Make it your own!" Jellal gave some words of encouragement. Sasuke's body turned darker and wings violently sprouted from his back, ripping his upper clothing. His hair grew longer and became an ashen grey. Sasuke then roared and looked at Jellal, pouncing on him. Jellal smirked and his body was covered in light, using his right hand to slam his open palm on Sasuke's torso, stopping him. "Fight Sasuke! Fight and prove yourself worthy of this power! That Naruto Uzumaki is beneath you! That you are worthy of your brother!" Jellal laughed and pushed Sasuke away.

"I-I-Itachi!" This did it as Sasuke had the image of a person that looked near identical to him except much more mature looking. Sasuke's new form released a shockwave as he regained his senses. "This…..This is true power!" Sasuke created a Chidori in his hand only this time, but this time it was louder and gave off a black glow instead of blue.

"You have become the newest demon!" Jellal laughed in victory. "Now, let's talk." His voice became serious.

(With Naruto and Makarov, a few days later)

"Wait. You're sending me on a mission Gramps? Awesome! What is it!?" Naruto was excited, something Makarov expected.

"Well, it's more of team operation. The council needs help locating one of their captains and their current tracking experts are out. So, we made a deal, they'll forgive our part for the Guild War." Makarov told Naruto, hoping he wouldn't say anything unnecessary.

"So, we're basically being blackmailed." Naruto is often called an idiot, but he does have his moment of being smart and can understand when something sounds fishy to him.

"You're smarter than you look. It's scary." Makarov stated to Naruto, which annoyed him. "But here's your teammate and please, don't start a fight." Makarov turned his head to the side and called out for the person to come.

'Start a fight? Why would I….' Naruto stopped his trail of though as his rage began to show. "You!" He pointed at the person who appeared in front of him. It was none other than Gajeel Redfox.

"Geehee! Hey there, Uzumaki! I take it you're not happy to see me." Gajeel smirked at the blond, who was ready to attack him.

"Naruto! Settle down!" Makarov enlarged his left hand and placed it between them, preventing them from attacking each other. "He will be your teammate for this mission. He is now a member of this guild and I expect you to treat him as such." Makarov told him, though this only served to make Naruto angrier.

"If this a joke, then it I'm not laughing Gramps!" Naruto channelled water into his hands, with Gajeel covering himself with scales.

"I'm not asking you to forgive him! Just work with him on this one mission and give him a chance to redeem himself." Makarov tried to convince Naruto, who sighed stopped his spell.

"Fine, but I don't have to like it. If he tries something, then don't come crying to me…Master." When Naruto called Makarov 'Master' instead of 'Gramps', this made the old man flinch a little.

'He never calls me that unless he's in a bad mood. Damn, I hope they don't kill each other on this mission.' "Anyways, you were chosen specifically by the person who will be leading this mission Naruto. And Gajeel, I thought you being on this mission

"And who would that be?" Naruto questioned.

"A man who holds the same position as me, another Wizard Saint. The man named Kakashi Hatake."

(With Sasuke)

"I feel like my normal self again. Better even." Sasuke was back into his normal attire, but his shirt was grey instead.

"You can now activate your demonic power any time you want, and your base form got a small power boost." Jellal stated which made the raven-haired boy smirk.

"So, I won't even need my new form to beat him?" Sasuke was obviously referring to Naruto, but Jellal shook his head.

"I didn't say that. I only said that your base form's power has increased slightly. You may be able to beat him in your demon form, but your normal state, I don't know." Jellal thought this would annoy Sasuke, it did but only slightly.

"Doesn't matter now, I know that I've become much stronger than him. The power of the demon is now mine!" Sasuke started to sound a little more maniacal.

'You may have gotten stronger, but compared to Kimimaro, you are a novice. That and you don't realise your new weakness.' Jellal also knew that despite Sasuke's new power, he lacked the control Kimimaro possesses. 'I have a feeling he will face Naruto Uzumaki sooner than later.'

(Back with Naruto and Gajeel, a few hours later)

"Well, this is where we're supposed to meet him. Looks like he ain't here yet." Gajeel commented. They were at a grassy field with three training posts on it.

"Well, we were told to wait here. I guess we sit down and wait." Naruto just sat on the grass, with mimicking his action. 'I have a bad feeling about this…'

(1 Hour Later)

"Sorry I'm late, but a black cat crossed my pa… Are you guys sleeping?" A man appeared, having silver gravity-defying hair, wearing a facemask that completely covered the lower half of his face. He wore an attire similar to Asuma's except he also wore fingerless gloves and his was more of a navy bodysuit underneath his green flat jacket. He also wore a headband with a metal plate over it. His headband covered his left eye. This man is the Wizard Saint, Kakashi Hatake and the person the two Dragon Slayers were supposed to meet an hour ago.

"Ramen….." Naruto was drooling and seemingly dreaming about ramen.

'My god…..I better wake them up.' Kakashi went to shake Naruto, only to be met with a punch to the face. Kakashi rebounded and held the right side of his face. 'Ouch! He packs a punch! And he isn't even using magic!'

(Fairy Tail OST-Invoke Magic)

"You're going down!" Naruto's eyes were still closed and he yawned. He channelled water into his hands and rushed Kakashi.

'He's sleep-fighting!' Kakashi realised that he had to use force. He channelled blue lightning and slammed his open palm onto Naruto's torso and shocked him. This woke Naruto up, but also made him angry, which lead to him punching Kakashi again with his water-enhanced fist. Or at least he tried, but Kakashi jumped out of the way and pulled his headband up. His left eye had a scar over it, though he opened his eye, revealing a crimson eye with a strange pinwheel design. It spun and glowed briefly as Kakashi widened his eye for a second. Naruto's spell dissipated.

'Huh? My spell just stopped working.' Naruto then noticed Kakashi's red eye. 'He has two different coloured eyes. But I won't lose!'

"Hey! Don't go hogging the enemy there Uzumaki!" Gajeel heard the ruckus and saw Naruto fighting a stranger. He turned his right hand into a club and it extended towards Kakashi, which Naruto had to dodge too.

"Oi! Watch it iron-butt!" Naruto exclaimed. Gajeel was annoyed by the nickname and would have replied, only for Kakashi to shout.

(OST End)

"Stand down!" Kakashi had enough and let his magic flow in the form of blue lightning.

'Blue lightning? Just like Sasuke's!' Both Gajeel and Naruto thought simultaneously.

"Wait. You're Kakashi Hatake, the one we're supposed to meet over an hour ago!" Gajeel exclaimed and pointed his finger at him. "Why did you attack Uzumaki!?"

"Attack him? He attacked me first!" Kakashi stopped his lightning aura and was annoyed at the two in front of him.

"Did not!" Naruto replied indignantly.

"You punched me in your sleep!" Kakashi pointed to the small bruise on his face. Naruto looked more indignant, but then calmed down and rubbed the back of his head in a sheepish manner.

"Oh yeah. Gramps told me I've done that before. Sorry about that." Naruto said to Kakashi as if it was no big deal. This made Kakashi sigh.

"Well, I guess it was my fault for not being alert. I commend you for your strength." Kakashi praised Naruto at first. "But next time I won't be so careless." Kakashi then pulled his headband back down. 'Truth be told, I was informed that you were an idiot, I should have known better to underestimate you. ou did beat my top student.

"So, that means you're up for a real fight down the road?" Naruto was excited at the prospect of fighting Sasuke's old teacher.

"Of course. But we need to get to the topic at hand. Our mission." Kakashi would have continued if not for Gajeel's interruption.

"Hey! Wait a minute, why were you late in the first place!?" Gajeel just reminded Naruto of Kakashi's tardiness, and the blonde also glared at him.

"Well, let's just say I got lost on the path of life." Kakashi just made the two Dragon Slayers drop their jaws.

"What the hell!?" Both Naruto and Gajeel said at the same time.

"Well, normally that would be the case, but this time I was gathering information. It will help us on our mission." Kakashi began to explain what their mission was, with the two Dragon Slayers setting aside their annoyance of Kakashi's late arrival.

"A comrade of mine was kidnapped, his group was attacked. But the rest of his group are still alive." Kakashi became a lot more serious. "The name of the perpetrator is Kimimaro Kaguya." He showed a wanted poster of Kimimaro.

"So, where do we come in?" Gajeel asked the silver-haired man.

"Well, Kimimaro belongs to a Dark Guild known as Death's Head Caucus. One of their top wizards in fact. We find their location, we find Kimimaro and that means we find Asuma." Kakashi did not mention Asuma by name before, so Naruto was confused as he heard the name before until he slammed his right hand on his open left palm.

"Wait! You mean Asuma Sarutobi!?" Naruto finally recalled where he heard the name. "He's one of the council's stooges, isn't he!?"

'S-Stooge!?' Kakashi was surprised by Naruto calling his friend that. "You know that he's the son of Hiruzen Sarutobi, a former Wizard Saint, right?"

"Oh yeah! Grandpa Saru! I haven't seen him in a while! How's he doing?" Naruto exclaimed, making Kakashi give a small laugh.

"He's doing fine. He mentioned you and how Jiraiya introduced you to him." Kakashi then recalled an important aspect. "But back to the mission. The three of us will head out to a tavern which will take us two days to reach. Dark Wizard often frequent it, so, we can gather information and find our target."

"Quick question, is this Kimimaro guy strong?" Gajeel asked Kakashi, who then turned to him.

"Well, he's the former disciple of my old enemy, Zabuza Momochi and as I mentioned before, a top wizard of Death's Head Caucus. So, I say he is." Kakashi answered truthfully. 'That and Kimimaro drank the blood of a demon.'

"Zabuza Momochi. I heard of him, the guy known as the Mist Demon. Master Jose spoke of him and so did Sasuke. He was your rival at one point, right?" Gajeel received a nod from Kakashi. "Then I need to ask this, how did he die?"

"I killed him by piercing his heart." Kakashi did not sugar coat it and replied honestly. This made both Gajeel and Naruto silent. "I know it's not easy to take a life, but I had no choice. My comrades were in danger and even though I respected him, I only had one option. Taking a life is never easy, but he's one of the ones I regret taking. I have no doubt Kimimaro wants vengeance against me. So, I want you two to be careful around him, because he won't stop until he gets to me." The two Dragon Slayers looked at each other and turned their heads back to Kakashi.

"I understand. When are we heading out?" Naruto asked, prepared for mission.

"Immediately. We'll camp out when it goes dark. We shouldn't overexert ourselves and keep a steady pace. Understood?" Kakashi asked the two, who could only nod, with Gajeel smirking. "Right, follow me." Kakashi ran first, followed by the other two.

(With Jellal)

"As I expected. Kakashi is on the case. He's brought some guests, one of our candidates even." Ultear was drinking a glass of wine whilst sitting on a chair. Jellal was reading a book across her.

"Well, our other candidates will be heading to the resort soon. I believe we can entrust Kimimaro and Haku to capture Naruto Uzumaki." Jellal saw the look Ultear gave him.

"That joke's not funny you know. And I thought we decided on Erza Scarlet, unless you're having second thoughts?" Ultear teased, only serving to make Jellal smirk.

"Just keeping our options open. Besides, I want to see if Naruto Uzumaki can make Kimimaro use his demonic power." Jellal told her.

"What about that old fool Kakashi?" Ultear questioned him.

"Kakashi has made a lot of enemies. There heading towards a tavern which takes in Dark Wizards after all. Surprising that the old crones allow that tavern to remain open. But I guess they have bigger things to worry about then some lowly rogue wizards and bandits." Jellal saw Ultear's smirk widen. "I know that look. What did you do?"

"Just some insurance in case Kakashi becomes too much for Kimimaro to handle." Ultear kept it a secret even from Jellal.

'She may ruin the plan. You think you can manipulate everything your way Ultear, but the plan will go on no matter how many interruptions occur.' Jellal knew Ultear plays around too much and has a tendency to diverge from their original plans.

Sorry for the shorter chapter, I had it done earlier but made a few changes. Right now, we are starting to change canon, where we will also show the Magic Council's more corrupt side. So, please review and I'll try to get the next chapter in sooner.
