Final Bout

'He's much stronger than before!' Jellal used Meteor, a spell which surrounded his body in light and allowed him to move extremely, barely avoiding a flame-enhanced kick, which tore through a large chunk of the Lacrima tower. 'You brat!' Jellal motioned his arms to release several light beams at Natsu. Natsu, instead of dodging, rushed towards him, taking them head on and landing a flame-enhanced elbow strike against him.

'Natsu…..Is this the true power of a Dragon Slayer?' Erza was witnessing her old friend and current guild mate utilise his power, which altered his appearance and his flames were now golden coloured. 'I don't think I could defeat you with all my strength if you reached this level of power.'

Jellal rebounded and used Meteor to reach the air. Natsu then looked at him and took in a deep breath before releasing a fireball aimed at Jellal, when it missed, he kept firing fireballs until he landed a hit. But Jellal smirked, something Natsu noticed until his own eyes widened. Natsu looked up to see magic circles which formed into a constellation.

"Be judged by the seven stars! Grand Chariot!" Jellal motioned his hands and releases several light blasts against Natsu, who was hit dead on by the light.

"You think that'll work on me!" Natsu activated his flames over his and minimised the damage he would receive from Jellal's attack.

'Orochimaru tampered with the Possession Spell, but I'm starting to regain some of my rationality. Simon, I am sorry my friend.' Jellal was beginning to see reason again, but he believed that his old friend is dead. He, nor anyone else atop the tower noticed that Simon's right hand briefly twitched. Jellal was distracted enough to be hit by Natsu's flame-enhanced fist. 'Why you….Orochimaru! Either your incompetence messed up the spell or you used this chance to use me as a Guinea pig!' Jellal's was losing control of his emotions again and released light from his body, knocking Natsu back. The tower was becoming more unstable due to holding all the power due to the Lacrima getting damaged from their battle.

'If this continues, the Lacrima will cause an explosion and we won't survive it unless it can absorb someone abundant with magical power to stabilise it since that is what the R-System is for.' Erza was ready to sacrifice herself, but she had faith Natsu could defeat Jellal, who was starting to lose.

(Replace OST with Fairy Tail OST-Dragon Slayer)

'T-There might be a way to break this spell on me….I must lose this battle. And to be fair, I can't defeat him in his current state….' "I shall end this!" Jellal motioned his arms and gathered power, the clouds beginning grow darker and his body glowed with light. 'What will you do now, Child of the Fire Dragon?'

"It's about time I finish it! For Erza, for Simon and for Fairy Tail!' Natsu blasted it off towards Jellal, his body completely enveloped by fire.

'That's it!' Jellal was hit dead on by Natsu, his spell undone. Natsu grabbed Jellal and swung him until he was thrown back to the ground. Natsu finished it with one last punch, forcing Jellal to fall through the tower. Jellal had a dark glow before it was shattered.

(With Orochimaru and Hiruzen) (Play Naruto OST-Beautiful Green Wild Beast)

'The spell I placed on him has broken. I guess that means he was defeated.' Orochimaru had a few scratches, but he was more than a match against Hiruzen. "Unlike that ancient Makarov, your age seems to be holding you back despite being younger than him."

'He's right. That and I have not fought anyone in years, especially someone like him. However, having more power does not make you the victor, Orochimaru!' Hiruzen dodged Orochimaru's snakes, but Orochimaru then closed the gap and swung his sword at him. Hiruzen blocked it with his staff, which had fire channelled through it due to Orochimaru covering his own sword with poisonous aura. Orochimaru smirked and released a poisonous gas from his body, but Hiruzen released a burst of air from his body to jump out of the way.

'Ah yes, Sarutobi-sensei can use more than one type of elemental magic. He can use them effectively and honed his skills…..It's almost a pity that I must kill you here.' Orochimaru tried to rush towards Hiruzen only to be hit by a torrent of water which emerged from the ground. 'He must have placed a magic circle on the ground and set a trap for me during our little clash…As expected from my former teacher. And despite lacking magical power in comparison to myself, his control is even better than mine. It seems that I haven't surpassed you in one aspect at least.' Orochimaru stopped smiling.

"I see you are finally going to stop playing games with me. I'm not so old that you can underestimate me. Also, put that sword away if you aren't going to fight with it properly." Hiruzen lectured Orochimaru, who got annoyed by his old teacher's words.

"Yes…I suppose it is time that I end your life here." Orochimaru was covered in Venom Radiance's light until it now covered his sword with it. An Aura Snake emerged from Orochimaru and tackled Hiruzen. Hiruzen rebounded but was attacked relentlessly by more Aura Snakes. Suddenly, Hiruzen was bitten by one on his left arm, however, he used his staff to destroy it and spun it rapidly, using a conjunction of Air and Fire Magic to send powerful fireballs at the rest of the snakes, he then had magic circle appear and summoned a rock wall to take Orochimaru's Kusanagi slash and jumped back.

'I need to rid myself of Orochimaru's poison before it spreads throughout my body!' Hiruzen quickly put his staff underneath his armpit and made hand motions swiftly, he slammed his hands to the ground, surrounding himself with more rock walls, this time they were much sturdier.

'You forgot a ceiling!' Orochimaru created more snakes to exploit the lack of a ceiling, only for fire to surround the top and burn the snakes and then Hiruzen closed it off with boulders. 'Playing defensive, are we? No matter how skilled you are, without healing or recovery-type magic, you cannot cure yourself. But I must make sure.' Orochimaru summoned three snakes to attack the walls directly and they began to tear through the earth-barrier Hiruzen made.

'He's not taking any chances this time. Tobirama-sensei, I will be borrowing your technique.' Hiruzen channelled water into his right hand and grabbed his left arm. He manipulated the water, and it entered his body. 'This will only hurt for a moment.' Sure enough, Hiruzen hissed in pain briefly as he twisted his arm until sweat leaked out with some blood and the poison. Hiruzen let go and moved his arm around, but he felt his defence crumbling and held his staff, but not before writing on it using his finger. 'This spell takes time and I'll be restricted, but if it connects, this battle shall end.' Hiruzen slammed the ground with his staff and lodged it in there. It had a magic circle appear and appeared to charge up. 'Abyss Break. Never thought that I would have to use this spell against my former student.' Hiruzen formed more hand signs as Orochimaru tore down his defences.

"Enough stalling Sarutobi-sensei, it's time to…Oh no…." Orochimaru crossed his arms and used his snake to form his own shield as Hiruzen released a large blast of fire that hit Orochimaru head on and forced him flying backwards. Orochimaru had dropped his weapon due to this but that was not important to him now, as he recognized Hiruzen's spell.

'His staff, he's preparing Abyss Break…..So, he plans on going through with this…..He wants to end me. I cannot allow him to finish it!' Orochimaru regained his footing but had a few burn marks on him now. He covered himself with his Venom Radiance and five snakes, each charging up blasts until they combined, getting ready to release one powerful blast.

'This is bad! I'll have to use the spell before it is fully complete!' Hiruzen grabbed his staff and aimed it at Orochimaru. The magic circle for Abyss Break appeared and Hiruzen was about to send out his own blast.

Suddenly, Hiruzen was trapped in a dome made from the earth. Then, Orochimaru's snake hydra was smashed the figure who appeared from above, undoing Orochimaru's charge and forced Orochimaru to jump back.

"Undo your spell, Sensei." A male voice called out to Hiruzen, who immediately knew who it was. Hiruzen undid his Abyss Break, as the earth dome was undone.

"I had everything under control, Jiraiya." Hiruzen looked at the tall man with white spikey hair that was tied into a large mane. This is Jiraiya, one of the Wizard Saints and the current 6th Seat.

"You could have destroyed this entire place if both your attacks collided! You're lucky everyone was evacuated before you guys could do irreversible damage!" The figure from earlier is blonde-haired woman with a generous bust. This is Tsunade Senju, the 7th Seat of the Wizard Saints and the Guild Master of Mermaid Heel. She jumped back and was now standing beside the other two.

"My apologies, but I have decided to end it." Hiruzen's words struck something within the two.

"Then let me take him down. You shouldn't have to get your hands dirty, not for him." Jiraiya glared at Orochimaru, as did Tsunade.

"My old friends. It is a pleasure to see you two again, though I wish the circumstances were different." Orochimaru gave a mocking bow, only infuriating the other two more. 'I could handle Sarutobi-sensei by himself, but both Jiraiya and Tsunade? A tactical retreat may be in order.'

"No, I must be the one to finish him off. In my foolishness, I've allowed him to live, and many innocents paid the price for it." Hiruzen had the images of many who died or had their lives ruined by Orochimaru, whether if it was for his experiments or he simply killed them.

"We…..We understand." Jiraiya looked down briefly before taking in a stern expression alongside Tsunade. "But we were once a squad, and Orochimaru's comrades at one point. We are just as responsible."

(Play Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 OST-Lost Courage)

"That's right. And we are guaranteed to defeat him if fight together." Tsunade the glared at Orochimaru, who rubbed the blood from his mouth.

"My apologies to you two. My task has been completed and the only reason I stayed was to catch up with Sarutobi-sensei, but I believe that I must be going." Orochimaru dodged Tsunade's punch, who moved with great speed to close the gap between them, as did Jiraiya. "You two seem to forget that I am the strongest one here. Even with Sensei here, you both cannot defeat me."

"Ha! You were the strongest but not anymore. We've gotten a lot stronger and let's not forget that you had a tough time dealing with Sarutobi-sensei here and he's an old coot!" Jiraiya boasted but a cough from Hiruzen made him look back nervously at his former teacher, who gave him a glare. "Uhhh….Sorry Sensei." He said, making Hiruzen sigh in annoyance.

"Jiraiya! Watch out!" Tsunade was pushed back by Orochimaru's aura burst and Orochimaru sent out a snake at Jiraiya who thought quickly and covered himself in earth to prevent the snake's fangs from digging into his skin.

'Damn! I can feel it tearing through my rock-armour, he's going for the kill!' Jiraiya was tackled by Tsunade, removing him from the snake. Hiruzen used this chance to close the distance and hit him with the tip of his staff. Hiruzen then held the staff with his left hand and made hand signs with his right. The magic circle for Abyss Break reappeared and was now attached to Orochimaru.

"What!?" Orochimaru tried to attack Hiruzen but Hiruzen's staff then extended, pushing Orochimaru back. Orochimaru quickly motioned his right hand, using his index and middle finger.

"Now you cannot escape your fa….." Hiruzen was impaled from behind by Orochimaru's Kusanagi.

"SENSEI!" Both Jiraiya and Tsunade shouted out, running towards him but Orochimaru entrapped them all in a dome made of Venom Radiance. This time, several snakes targeted the three, but Hiruzen activated Abyss Break prematurely, releasing a blast which shot Orochimaru back, sending him miles away from their location and undoing his attack spell. However, the other three were blasted back, though they gained little damage.

"My aching head!" Jiraiya and Tsunade were disorientated but they managed to regain their bearings. "Tsunade, are you hurt?" Jiraiya asked his former teammate, who dusted herself off.

"A few bruises, but nothing major. Where's Sarutobi-sensei?" She asked worriedly and both looked around and found their former teacher, laying on his left side, a large pool of blood came out him.

(Dragon Ball Z Kai OST-Trapped Between Past and Present)

"SENSEI!" They were immediately by his side. He simply laid motionless, but he had a peaceful smile on his face.

"Tsunade! He needs medical attention!" Jiraiya wanted to help, but unlike Tsunade, he wasn't a medic nor Ishgar's greatest healer.

"T-The sword pierced his heart. He has no pulse….I-I'm sorry but he's gone….." Tsunade stated with sadness and let a few tears fall.

"No…" Jiraiya had flashbacks of the past about the different times Hiruzen was there for him and how he supported him in his youth and even now. "Orochimaru!" Jiraiya was now enraged and stood back up. He walked slowly until Tsunade called his name.

"Jiraiya. It's no use, knowing Orochimaru, he probably used Sensei's last attack to escape." Tsunade told him and whilst frustrated, Jiraiya could only stare back at Hiruzen's smiling face. 'Goodbye Sensei, thank you for everything you did for me. For us.'

(Back with Natsu and Erza)

"Erza!" Natsu's power up was gone and he could barely move. The Tower was beginning to self-destruct unless someone with a high magic power level merged with the Lacrima to stabilize it. Erza chose to sacrifice herself, but a hand grabbed her left arm, which not only shocked her, but Natsu as well.

"S-Simon!" Erza had tears in her eyes, her shock distracting her enough for Simon to pull her out of the Lacrima. He made his way to Natsu, who managed to get up.

"Natsu. Get Erza out of here, only you can save her." Simon told the Dragon Slayer, who was confused.

"Simon! What are you saying?" Erza was happy that he was still alive, but he looked worse off compared to her or Natsu.

"She's right. What about you?" Natsu asked him, which only made Simon smile.

"Jellal was manipulated but by defeating him, you freed him. He managed to hold himself back until after he thought he killed me. But that's not important right now, you two must escape. There's little time, so go!" Simon handed Erza over to Natsu and suddenly, the ground beneath them was covered by darkness.

"Wait! Simon! Do….." Erza and Natsu were blasted away from the tower by Simon who smiled at Erza trying to call out this name.

'Now, I must save you Jellal, then we must make our escape.' Simon looked at the hole Jellal fell through and jumped down.

(With Gray's group)

"What is that!?" Lucy exclaimed, with the group, minus the motion sick Naruto, looking at the sky. Gray noticed it first, but the flying object was in fact their friends, Erza and Natsu. Who crashed into the sea.

"That was Erza and Natsu!" Gray jumped in, followed by Lucy. The rest were then shaken as the tower finally self-destructed and caused a massive shockwave. Gray was holding onto Erza whilst Lucy held onto Natsu in the water, being hit by the shockwave, though they held onto their weakened friends until the shockwave subsided. Gray and Lucy emerged from the water and made their way to the boat.

'Why is my darling Gray the one who has to save Erza!?' Juvia was jealous at this but was happy at seeing everyone safe.

(Three Days Later at an unknown location)

"You dare return here after failing your mission. I must commend you on your bravery at least, or is it just plain foolishness?" A man whose features were covered by the shadows said to the recovering members of Trinity Raven.

"It would be pointless to run away, not when you could easily find us." Ikaruga gripped her sword, ready to strike. Even Taka and Fukuro were ready to attack their Guild Master.

"You are right there. Still, do you think it wise to attack your Guild Master? You should know how it will end up for you." Trinity Raven's Guild Master was confident in his own abilities. He lifted his right, seemingly pointing at them.

"Unfortunately for you, we are your strongest wizards. Even if you are our Guild Master, we put Death Head's Caucus on the map for you. So, we will be the ones who will kill you, Master Sasori." Ikaruga told him with a smirk on her face, getting ready to move, only to suddenly halt in her tracks. 'My body…..it won't move!' Thunder boomed as Sasori's features were revealed.

(Play One Piece OST-A Powerful Foe)

Sasori had brown eyes, red hair and was much younger than expected. He motioned his fingers and suddenly all three Trinity Ravens began attacking each other instead.

"W-What is happening!? I can't control my body!" Taka was horrified that he could not control his own body.

"I take failure very seriously. Treachery I can expect from worms like yourselves. However, to perceive me as weak was a fatal mistake." Sasori's cold tone and actions made them all feel fear. "You all exceeded my expectations many times and I would have allowed you to live if you had not made the decision to betray me." Sasori then forced Ikaruga to cut down her allies and then he motioned his left hand, cutting Ikaruga's throat and then released her from his control. Ikaruga tried to stop the blood from coming out, but she could not breathe and fell, twitching before going completely still.

'A shame that three of my most powerful wizards failed me. No, Kimimaro and Haku too. I guess I have no use for this guild anymore. Jellal, I will find you and end you.'

End. I hope you all enjoyed this chapter, I decided to undo the death of Simon for now and made a few changes/retcons. I decided to have Orochimaru possess Jellal so most of the events from the Tower of Heaven could occur, but I promise to try to make the story more consistent. But I must also mention this, earlier in March, the legend known as Akira Toriyama has passed away. Rest in Peace Mr Toriyama, your work has inspired me and brought great joy over the years.

I don't know how many of you read or watched Dragon Ball, but to me, it will always have a special place in my heart. I can remember being a kid and after the day ended I watched Dragon Ball Z growing up. The reason why I do not write Dragon Ball fanfics is because I wanted to leave it untouched and to the younger me, I found the series great. I can remember always wanting the latest Budokai game, trying to go Super Saiyan and even just listening to the music. This chapter mentioned music from the series and the title itself was my tribute to him, due to it not only being Hiruzen's final bout but also the name of Dragon Ball: Final Bout.

Now, I will use some concepts from the Dragon Ball series, such as fighting techniques and specific states that characters achieved.
