Successful Update

Jedi Master Obi-wan Kenobi stood on the landing platform waiting patiently for Duchess Satine Kryze's ship to land for him to escort her to Galactic Senate building. He was thinking heavily about his relationship with the Duchess of Mandalore which over the past few years had grown in potency. However, the ever-cautious Jedi Master was hesitant to go any further in the relationship as he knew full well that the Council would not approve of the relationship. Both of his former Padawans were lucky to have approval for their relationships, after all the life of a Jedi is lonelier than many are willing to admit. At that moment, his thoughts turned back to the present as the ship landed and he approached the loading ramp at a steady pace. Satine's entourage walked down the ramp which included her personal guard as well as a woman in colourful traditional Mandalorian armour with a C1 astromech droid on her heel.
"Master Kenobi," Satine greeted warmly.
"How are you Duchess?" Obi-wan inquired as he offered his elbow for her to take.
"Very well thank you," Satine responded as they walked towards the speeder that was waiting for the party.
"Duchess if I may? I would like to scout ahead," the young Mandalorian requested.
"Oh course Sabine," the Duchess confirmed as Obi-wan helped her step into the speeder..
"Come on then Chopper," Sabine said as she activated her jetpack with her groaning droid not that far behind as the pair flew ahead of the speeder.
"So you have an extra guard?" Obi-wan inquired curiously.
"Not necessarily, I needed a pilot and the leader of Clan Kryze suggested Sabine and extra security can't hurt anyone," Satine explained.
"I see," Obi-wan said softly, "Wait, what happened to your last pilot?" he asked in concern.
Satine sighed heavily, "That is what I would like to know," she mentioned, "But all of my pilots simply vanished a few months ago with no explanation."
"Well that is certainly a precarious situation," Obi-wan pointed out as he stroked his beard thoughtfully.
"Oh by the way, I am hosting a dinner party tomorrow night. You are more than welcome to join us Master Jedi as is Master Skywalker and both of your Padawans," Satine invited him warmly.
"I will certainly consider it, Duchess," Obi-wan responded gratefully as the speeder landed outside of the Galactic Senate building and he jumped out first before offering his hand to help the Duchess of Mandalore out of the speeder. Then the Jedi Master escorted Satine into the building, once she was safely inside he excused himself and left for the Jedi Temple.

The next morning, Obi-wan sat in the Jedi Council meeting as Master Kota gave his update on the progress of the rebuilding Tython project. Other than escorting Duchess Satine Kryze to the Galactic Senate building the day before the Jedi Master's last couple of days had been quite bland but with the dinner party fast approaching he was looking forward to the event.
"What has become of the Flesh Raiders situation?" Master Koon asked Master Kota curiously.
"Well currently we have managed to make peace with a few of the tribes and as a result the team of Jedi Scholars have been able to collect boundless amounts of information about their culture," Master Kota answered.
Master Yoda nodded and stated confidently, "Good, over time learn to co-exist with them we will."
"How about the restorations?" Master Windu inquired as he got directly to the point.
"We have managed to restore the main Jedi Temple and the Master's Retreat Temple. We have been unable to salvage the Ruins of Kaleth I am afraid as the structures are just too old and have spent too long in ruin. However I have manged to begin construction of a space port at an old outpost situated about half way between the two Temples," Master Kota explained.
"Who approved of this construction plan?" Master Windu demanded hastily.
Master Kota paused momentarily, "Well the location was chosen by the architects who informed me that it was the best place for the spaceport as the foundations of the outpost were sound enough and it wasn't an ancient site as well as wasn't intruding on the Flesh Raider's territory," he explained as he glanced slightly at Masters Skywalker and Kenobi for support.
"I approved the construction of the spaceport at the location on my last visit to Tython," Master Skywalker stated which drew the attention of the Jedi Masters towards him and away from the deliver of the news.
"And who gave you the authority to make this decision without consulting the rest of the Jedi Council Master Skywalker?" Master Windu asked as the tension levels in the room rose. Stret looked nervously between the two Jedi Masters as he sensed the rising tension radiating off his Master while Master Skywalker stayed calm.
Then Master Kenobi rose to his feet and placed his hands in front of him which were still hidden inside the long sleeves of his Jedi robe, "I gave Master Skywalker permission to make the decision Master Windu."
At this statement, Master Windu fell silent as he no longer held precedence above the two younger Jedi Masters after the Jedi Grandmaster had appointed them both as Senior Jedi Masters who would serve on the Jedi High Council for the remainder of their years in the Order. The Korumni Jedi Master had once held this rank but after The Great Arrest revealed his weaknesses Master Yoda had demoted him to only a life long serving member of the Jedi High Council. Also judging by the lack of surprise shown by the Jedi Grandmaster it clearly showed that Masters Skywalker and Kenobi had indeed consulted Master Yoda on the matter.
"Dismissed you are Master Kota, continue your hard work you must," the Jedi Grandmaster dismissed the Jedi Master who bowed and then exited the chamber.
Master Kenobi tuned the remainder of the Council meeting out as random heavy thoughts weighed on his mind and then not long after Master Yoda dismissed them, promptly ending the meeting. Anakin and Obi-wan entered the elevator together in silence.
"The Duchess has invited us to a dinner party tonight, along with our former Padawans," Obi-wan mentioned.
"Ahsoka too?" Anakin inquired simply.
"Well she didn't specify which ones, besides when has Satine ever not been happy to see Ahsoka?" Obi-wan asked in slight amusement.
Anakin sighed heavily, "Looks like we're going to the North Hangar then."
At that moment, the elevator stopped and the doors opened to allow the two Jedi Masters to exit who headed in the direction of where they knew their former Padawans would be as they spent the majority of their spare time in the North Hangar these days. The trip did not take all that long and upon entering the hangar it did not take the two Jedi Masters long to find their respective former Padawans. Ahsoka was in the middle of a conversation with her own Padawan, Ashlyn was sitting with Jania and Kayli while Daly appeared to be attempting to assist Eric in some modifications.
"Hey Skyguy," Ahsoka greeted as Anakin approached where she stood, leaning against a pile of crates with Mayken sitting on a crate next to her.
"Hello Snips, I just found out that Satine is hosting a dinner party and she was kind enough to extend an invitation to you," Anakin revealed.
Ahsoka chuckled in amusement, "Yeah I already got an invitation."
Anakin raised an eyebrow out of curiosity but knew that the Togruta would not reveal who gave her the invite even though the Jedi Master had his own suspicions. So he decided to go and inform Ashlyn of the invitation rather than attempt in continuing the conversation.
"Hey Master, what's up?" Ashlyn asked curiously.
"Duchess Satine is hosting a dinner party and has extended an invitation to you and Daly," Anakin revealed as he caught the immediate attention of the newly knighted Jania.
"Oh! Can I come to?" Jania asked eagerly, "I haven't seen the Duchess since all the way back in my second year as a Padawan," she added.
"I guess there could be no harm in asking," Anakin said thoughtfully as he headed over to Obi-wan who was still talking to his own former Padawan. Daly had clearly upset P7 and was trying to gently kick the droid away from his leg while trying to talk to his former Master.
Azalea whistled loudly at the astromech, "Leave Daly alone P7 and get back to work," she ordered in a slightly annoyed tone. The droid grumbled as he rolled away from the young Jedi Knight and back towards the task he had been assigned to by Eric an hour earlier.
"I bet you're wishing that you took the engineering course now Daly," Stret mumbled as he went back to his own task. The Jedi Knight glared slightly at his friend as Obi-wan took that moment to pull Daly away before the young man would do or say something he would definitely regret.
"Sorry Master, what was it you were trying to tell me?" Daly asked.
"The Duchess of Mandalore has invited you and Ashlyn to a dinner party tonight," Obi-wan explained.
Daly sighed, "I would love to go but it all depends on whether I get this modification done on the Constellation for Eric in time," he mentioned as he pointed over his shoulder at the ship behind him.
"I can do it!" Stret called to him from where he was on top of the ship as he gave Obi-wan an almost desperate look that communicated that the dinner party would be a better use of his friend's time.
"I am sure that Stret can handle finishing the job off," Obi-wan suggested lightly.
Daly shrugged slightly, "Okay then, I guess I better go get ready so that I don't have grease all over me," he said as he walked over to Ashlyn. Upon reaching her, Daly wrapped his arms around the other Jedi Knight and kissed her on the cheek as she squirmed to get away from his grease covered hands and face. The two Jedi Masters watched their former Padawans in amusement as Ashlyn and Jania then proceeded to dump buckets of water over Daly after she managed to get out of his grasp.
"Oh by the way, Jania asked if she could come to the dinner party," Anakin mentioned, "Should probably contact Satine to see if she is okay with it," he suggested.
"Good idea," Obi-wan stated as they both swiftly left the Hangar.

There were many people gathered in Duchess Satine Kryze's apartment which was filled with chatter as droids walked around carrying trays of drinks and appetisers. Ashlyn and Daly mainly stayed with the other Jedi guests.
"It is so good to see that you could make it," Satine said in gratitude.
"Of course Duchess, we wouldn't miss this for anything," Ashlyn said as she bowed her head slightly.
The Duchess nodded lightly as she turned to Ahsoka and asked, "How have you been since I last saw you Ahsoka?"
"Very well thank you, may I introduce my Padawan Learner, Mayken Stargazer," Ahsoka introduced the young teenager to the Duchess of Mandalore.
"A staja at urcir gar Dehi'r," Mayken greeted as she bowed her head politely.
"Ahh, I see your Master has taken the time to teach you some Mando'a," Satine said, impressed in the Togrutan Jedi Knight and her Padawan.
Ahsoka left to join the conversation Lux was currently having with Senator Amidala, leaving Mayken standing with Jania. The young Padawan was curious to explore her surroundings but did not want to seem rude so she kept herself rooted to the spot. However when she saw a Mandalorian warrior walk past her and out to the verandah she could not contain her curiosity anymore. Upon walking through the doors she found beautiful fountains, statues and water features. Mayken began to walk around a little as she looked at everything around her with such wonder but had failed to pay attention to where he feet were carrying her.
"Oops, I am so sorry," Mayken apologised rapidly when she bumped into someone and then looked up to see the Mandalorian warrior who she had spotted earlier.
The stranger chuckled lightly as she took her helmet off to reveal black hair with purple tips in a short pixie cut, brown eyes and a slightly brown complexion, "Don't worry, I'll survive."
Just then Jania came rushing out as she had noticed that Mayken had been missing, "Mayken, we need to get back inside," she directed as she calmed herself down.
"Of course Jania, sorry again," Mayken said as she walked back inside.
"Jedi Padawans can certainly be a handful can't they?" the Mandalorian asked with a slight hint of humour.
"Mayken isn't my Padawan but her Master asked me to keep an eye on her tonight, she can get a little excited and wander off to explore sometimes," Jania explained, "I hope she didn't disrupt anything."
"No not at all," the stranger reassured the Jedi Knight, "My name is Sabine by the way, Sabine Wren," she introduced herself.
"It's a pleasure to meet you," Jania responded politely, "I can't say I have ever seen a Mandalorian warrior before, I've been to Mandalore but no one I saw wore the tell tale armour," she mentioned in curiosity.
"The Duchess needed another bodyguard so I offered my services," Sabine explained briefly.
"Very well, I will let you get back to your duties Sabine. It was nice to meet you," Jania said as she re-entered the apartment and rejoined the party.
