It has been a long few days since my victory at the Clash of the Crowns. Goodwin was honest about something, not even a full 24-hours after Ryo and Mako won their Duel, he had them signed and on their way to a Tag Tournament in America.
As I make my way through the halls of the Academy, holding the Checkered Flag of Glory I was awarded for my win. 'Next stop the Grand Prix, I wonder how many duelist will be there?' I ask myself, before walking into a classroom.
"Oi boys!" I hear one of my classmates yell out as he walks into class, I roll my eyes before looking out window. "You know how my sister is a big shot journalist," he states, the boys around him listen closely, "Guess who was seen in the Satellite?" making me look over towards him, 'Sector Security is big on not letting people in or out without permission from certain higher-ups,' but only one person passes through my mind, Rex Goodwin.
"Oh yeah man! I heard Jack Atlas was spotted in Satellite Turbo Dueling someone, guy with black hair I think," another boy says, catching my full attention. 'So, Rex was defiantly the higher up that allowed it, but why? And who was Atlas dueling?' I look out the window my eyes locking to the island in the middle of the lake.
"But, seriously why would someone like Jack Atlas want to duel a Satellite?" I hear another one question. I look between the classroom and back to the island, 'I think it's time to take a little vacation, and see what the big deal is,' I tell myself before grabbing my bag and jumping from the window.
Sneaking my way around the outer area of the Academy, making my way to the back of the Gated Wall, where the upper years use the tool shack to hop over the brick wall. 'Now all I need to do is find a way to the island,' I tell myself, 'without Sector Security catching me of course,' I look around the edge of the lake, when I see a ship being loaded at the dock, and I run my way over.
"Jon?" I hear a mans voice call out, as I make my way to the empty side of the dock, "Is that everything that needs to be shipped to Satellite?" he asks. I start to look around the right side of the ship as the two man begin talking.
I hear the loud horn of the ship going off signaling it is about to set said, I quickly grab a brick and break the glass of one of the portholes on the ship before climbing in. "Oh God! Rei, what have you got yourself into, trespassing, property damage, and when I make it to Satellite that will be entering a restricted location," I complain pacing back and forth.
"Did you boys hear about that Satellite kid who got one of them flags?" I overhear one of the cargo ship workers asks. 'One of them flags?' I question, taking out my Checkered Flag of Glory, 'does he mean one of these? The Commissioner did say duelist from all over,' I tell myself, as I watch out of the porthole as the island gets closer, 'That would explain what Atlas was doing here.'
Satellite
Wondering around the island of Satellite is... disturbing to say the least, with the destroying buildings and the groups of people glaring at me, 'Maybe I should have thought this plant through more... or maybe wore anything but my Academy Uniform,' I complain to myself, when I spot two Sector Security Patrol Officer walking the area on foot, I quickly hide behind some rubble, and listen as their footsteps pass by. "Ladies and Gentleman of Neo Domino..." I hear the Commissioner's voice echo from above, I look up to see a giant blimp and see the Commissioner's face.
"Along with the great people of Satellite, as many of you may know the D1 Grand Prix will begin in a month," he drawls. He holds up one of the Checkered Flag of Glory cards, "All of the Checkered Flag of Glory Cards have been awarded to the best of the best duelist around. But, I decided to add a fun twist that I offer to every duelist..."
I take a few steps backwards to get a better view of the blimp, noticing the number of people around watching the broadcast along with the two patrol men who walked by. 'Why do I have a very bad feeling about this?'
A video of me appears on screen from my Duel at the Clash of the Crowns, "Many of you may know that this is Rei Izayoi, our last lucky duelist to be awarded one of my Checkered Flags," he informs and I can feel the eyes of the people around me, "If any duelist can defeat him, his Checkered Flag will belong to them instead," his face appears back on the screen, "Good Luck Rei, I'll be watching."
The screen goes blank, and I hear footsteps approaching, "Fate it would be a great time to like... I don't know do anything!" I bellow, before looking around me, 'Great and no way to get out, this idea just keeps better and better,' I roll my eyes, then I see a heavily marked man walk in front of me, the yellow marks running all over his body, 'Just how many times has he been sent to the Facility?' I ask myself before look behind me, 'Clear.'
Spinning I quickly kick the man in the stomach, before running the other direction, "Get back here you bastard!" I hear the man scream, "Don't just stand there get him!" I hear him order. 'Do not turn back just keep running,' I chant.
I quickly turn around a corner, and see a destroyed vehicle before jumping into it and ducking down. 'This is the second time I had to hide today, which is two times more than normal. This plan was stupid!' I fuss myself, only stopping when I hear the roaring of a Duel Runner.
Peeking through the window, I see a red Duel Runner stopping and watch as a black-haired boy notices the gang that is chasing me run past, "He has to be in Satellite, if he wasn't Goodwin wouldn't have mentioned anything about the people of Satellite in his announcement," I hear him conclude, 'He's right, Goodwin has to be watching me. There would be no reason for- but why is he watching me? Is he testing me since I asked him about that Duel Priest stuff?' I question myself.
I watch the other boy for a moment, 'He doesn't seem like he wants to hunt me down like the rest of them...' I tell myself, 'maybe he wants to help.' Putting caution to the wind, like I haven't done that enough today, I get out of the vehicle and walk his way, "Um... are you looking for me? If so, please tell me you aren't part of the man hunt?" I question even if it comes off more as a beg.
I hear him chuckle, "No... no man hunt from me," he tells me taking out a card from his jacket, "I got one already, so I don't think yours would be that useful," he tells me and I can feel my eyes widen at the sight of a Checkered Flag of Glory card, 'This has to be the guy that Atlas dueled.'
"So, what is a prep like you doing in a place like this?" the boy asks, 'Prep?' I fix him an unimpressed look, "Not trying to be rude or anything, just look at he way you are dressed," he tells me, and I look down at my King of Kings school uniform, 'Oh... yeah I didn't think that through either,' I shake my head. "It's like you were asking to get mugged."
Shaking my head, "Yeah you are probably right, I could have dressed better for this, but that doesn't matter. I am here for a reason," I say not taking my eyes off him, "I came looking for the guy that dueled Jack Atlas, and now that I saw that card of yours. I think I just found him."
"There he is!" I hear a voice scream, and I groan at the voice. Then, I feel the boy grab my arm and brings me to his Duel Runner, "Don't let him get away! I want that card!"
"Hop on! I might be able to take on a few of them, but not the whole gang," he tells me, before he jumps on his Duel Runner making room for me, 'is this some sort of trick?' I question myself when he gives me a look, "Unless you think you can take on twenty duelist at one time." Shaking my head I jump on behind him wrapping my arms around his waist before we speed off.
After an hour or two we make our way through Satellite, I begin to notice that the buildings are starting to look more livable, "Can I ask why this part of Satellite looks so... livable compared to where you found me?" I ask him.
I can feel him tense up, "Those thugs they overran that part of town about three years ago, and they never sent enough Sector Security Officers to retake it, so they destroyed those thugs everything they could," he informs me. 'I don't understand why they wouldn't want to take back part of Satellite,' I ask myself.
He suddenly stops, before grabbing something out of his bag. "Here go change into these," he tells me, throwing a red and white leather hooded jacket at me and a pair of black pants, "This is my place, so go down the hall and you'll find the bathroom." Rolling my eyes I do what he says and go and change, 'rude.'
Walking out of the bathroom, I stop and look at myself in the cracked mirror. The leather jacket fits almost perfectly just slightly to big, but the pants fit, "Yeah I like this so much better," I compliment myself before walking into the living room seeing the boy leaning against the counter, "wow," I breathe out quietly.
He looks up at me for a moment, "Now you look like a Satellite, but onto something more important, why are you looking for me?" he asks me, standing up straight, "this has something to do with Atlas, since the reason you said you were here is to find the guy who dueled him."
Taking a deep breath and walking towards the other boy, "Atlas, he is someone who I wan- no I need to beat... when I was thirteen my previous duel school sent me to duel him, and I got demolished and he made sure I knew it," I clench my fist, "Taunting me, looking at me as if I was trash, telling me that a pretty boy like me doesn't have what it takes to make it in the big leagues," I explain. "So, I want nothing more than to show that spoiled brat what real hard work and dedication is," I vow, looking directly in his eyes.
He stands there for a moment eyes locked with mine, "So, are you wanting to duel me to see if you have what it takes to take him out? Is that right?" he asks me. "If so, can we at least eat first?" He asks, I was about to decline wanting to duel him when my stomach growls, "guess that's a yes."
Five Hours Later
The guy stands up from his couch, grabbing his duel disk, 'I been around him for six hours and I don't even know his name...' I tell myself, "Now let's get-" he starts to say before a loud pinch scream echoes around us.
I immediately start running towards the scream, not even checking to see if the other guy was following me, when I make it outside, I see two Sector Security Officers cornering a small girl, "What were you doing over here little girl? Trying to loot some illegal contraband?" one officer questions condescendingly, while th other yanks her bag away and starts to dig in it.
"It's just food in there, my mom asked me to bring it to the hospital," the little girl explains, as the officer pulls out the food throwing it on the ground, right before I watch him grab something from his pocket and bring his hand back to the bag.
He pulls his hand back out, "Look at what I found here contraband, thought you said you were bringing just food to the hospital. Were you lying to us?" I can hear the venom in the man's voice, 'Is this what these people have to deal with?' I ask myself, then I see them take the girl to the ground, "We'll be bringing you to the Facility for this."
Running up to them, I kick the man who has the girl on the ground in his upper thigh making him let her go, "Run, I'll take care of these two," I tell her and she nods tears running down her face and runs away. I look back at the two officers, "You two are piles of trash, hurting a little girl and planting evidence, is this what Sector Security around here does to 'keep the peace'? They bully children?"
"Assaulting an officer will get you locked up for a long time pretty boy," the other one says making me glare at him for the comment, before he stops and looks at me grinning, "Oh, isn't that interesting... Rei Izayoi, the boy with the Checkered Flag up for grabs," he grins at me, while his partner gets off the floor.
"We do whatever it takes to keep the trash in the Facility and everyone from this disgusting island is trash!" the other growls, "Now we found a real criminal here, not only did you assault an officer you are also in a restricted area, looks like we're going to have to take you in," he jumps at me, making me swing around kneeing him in the stomach, "you... bastard."
The one still standing activates his Duel Disk, "get up Ren, let's take him down the normal way."
"I can't wait to take you down pretty boy, trash like you doesn't even belong in the Facility. I'm going to drop you in the damn lake!" Officer Ren yells, activating his own duel disk, "He's mine after this duel Toyo."
Rolling up my jacket sleeves, revealing a red and purple jewel that shines on my right arm, "People like you two disgust me, using your power to hurt others, when you should be helping them," I pass my left hand over the jewel and it lights up and a Duel Disk materializes with red borders and purple lights. "Since you two want to pick on little kids, I think it's time I show off the true Power of the Rose!"
I hear footsteps behind me, "Now if it isn't you two again? With a two on one duel, that doesn't seem very fair now does it?" I hear the voice of the boy I spent the day with. "How about we even this duel out?" he stands at my side activating his own duel disk. He looks at me, "Names Yusei Fuudo by the way, since we are about to partner up I thought you should know."
I give him a side glance and nod, "Rei Izayoi, and I would prefer if you left these two to me. But, if you insist," I tell him before locking my eyes with the two officers in front of us, "Let's Duel!"

"Now I think its time to bring her out," I start, grabbing another one of my card, when I hear one of the asshole officers starting to chuckle. "Is there something you find funny?"
"Yeah! How can a little twerp like you get invited to a big event like the Grand Prix, yet you don't even know how to play. Isn't that Queen of Rose card, Level 7? So, that means you need monsters on the field to Tribute for it," Kaz smirks feeling all smug with his dumbass self, even getting a laugh from his partner.
I roll my eyes, "Yet, neither one of you have a Flag of Glory, so if you think so lowly of me. I'll teach you a lesson, now I activate another Spell, Cards from the Moonlit Rose! This card allows me to Special Summon Moonlit Rose Tokens equal to the number of cards I added to my hand from my Deck this turn, and if that's too many number for you that is two."

Both of the officer's eyes widen, when I hear a chuckle from Yusei, "Looks like he just proved you wrong, now didn't he officer?" Yusei smirks, gaining a grin from me.
"Shut it you Satellite Trash!" Toyo growls, "I'll put you right back in the Facility after this duel, after we take card of the pretty boy beside you." Taking a deep breathe, I grab my Queen of Rose ignoring the comment.
White petals begin to fly off my two rose monster and begin dancing into the sky. "Now, I tribute my two Moonlit Rose Tokens to call forth my Queen from the heavens above," the petals spin around as they turn red, "Now! Descend! Queen of Rose, the Stately Angel!" the red roses erupt and fall down back to earth leaving my monster in its place.

"Pretty much, now I equip Rusted Blade – Rust Edge to my Seven Sword Warrior, it increases my warrior's Attack by 800 points and that activates my monster's effect dealing 700 damage to your Officer Ren, Seven Slashes!" Yusei commands.

Rose briars come from the ground, wrapping the monster before crushing it.
"Wha... what!" Ren yells, "I'll show you, you bastard!"
I smile at his anger, "And I have yet to play a card this turn, I summon my Rose Shaman to my side."

"So, that's why you weren't worried about both of them coming after you, you knew both of their Synchro monsters would be gone," he gives me a look before he grins.
"Hey love birds!" Toyo growls, as his monster is destroyed, "Break it up! If you think that's enough to take out members of Sector Security you have another thing coming! It's about time you start respecting authority, I activate Call of the Haunted!"

Activate this card by targeting 1 monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon that target in Attack Position. When this card leaves the field, destroy that monster. When that monster is destroyed, destroy this card.
"Come back my Goyo Guardian!" Toyo commands
"I still get to draw my card," and I do so, "Looks like it's my lucky day, I drew Rose Witch, and since she's a Plant monster I get to draw another," I tell them drawing my second card.
"Draw all the cards you want, you aren't going to beat us!" Ren vows, 'Let's see if what you say is true,' I smile, before looking back at my hand.
"If you were impressed by that, I'll show you something truly amazing! Queen of Rose, attack Officer Ren, Trimmer Rose!" I command
"I don't think so! I activate my own Trap Card Security Orb! When a monster declares an attack I can switch it to defense negating it's attack, you thought that was going to work on me?" he questions.

"Wha... he drew six cards this turn," I hear one of the Officers mutter.
I snort, "Let's keep this momentum going! I equip Rose Shield to my to Yusei's Seven Sword Warrior! When this card is activated it deals 300 damage to my opponent for each card in my hand, and look at that I have four. So, that's 1200 points of damage, aiming right for you Officer Toyo! Rose Spray!"

"Yeah, it's why must people in the Satellite don't fight back against them, it's their ultimate defense, and since they share a field..." he stops for a moment and I put it together,
"Their attack will only rise, so right now..." I look at the field, "They can go up to 4000 Attack. I don't have a monster that can go that high."
"Now! Goyo Defender attack Queen of Rose!" Officer Ren announces, 'what but my monster's defense is higher, what is he...' my eyes widen when I look at his face-down. "Got that right! I activate my face-down Ego Boost! This may not destroy your monster, but you are now it let's my partner be able to tear it to shreds!"

I shake my head, "No need to apologize, neither of them have much Life Points left and we are both at 4000," I respond.

"Well that turn was pretty lame, let me make up for it! My draw," Officer Toyo grins, "I think I liked your idea partner, I summon Motivating Captain to my field, and since he was normal summoned, I'll bring Jutte Fighter back from the Graveyard."
"Here comes three more, be ready," Yusei tells me and I nod, not matter how much I already hate these cards, 'They have like eighty Synchros and I still have zero.'
"I tune my Level 2 Jutte Fighter with my Level 1 Motivating Captain to Synchro Summon! Goyo Defender! Now since we only control Earth Warrior Synchro Monsters I can Special Summon another one from my Extra Deck," Toyo smiles, "Now to bring out one more!"
"Is that all you boys got!" I call out.
"Oh I ain't done yet," he responds, 'why did I have to say something?' I question myself. "Now I activate Monster Reborn, to bring Junk Mail to my side of the field!"

"Oh don't worry I will! I summon Assault Dog, now I tune my Level 1 Junk Mail with my Level 4 Assault Dog to Synchro Summon! Goyo Chaser!"

"Now for each Earth Warrior Synchro Monster on the field other than himself, Goyo Chaser gets 300 extra attack, and I count seven. So, that's a 2100 attack boost," Toyo's voice calls out sounding way to smug, 'But, that is a 4000 Attack point monster, he probably is allowed to sound smug.'

"Since your monster activates it's effect, I was able to use Searing Briar. This card negates that effect and halves your monster's attack points," I tell them, "I won't let a thief steal my beloved monsters!"

"Now my first Goyo Defender attack Rei directly!" His monster staggers me, 'What the hell? Why did that hurt? We aren't in a reality duel like my academy has,' I look around, before a voice calls me back.

'Wha... what happened, why do I still have 1000 Life Points left?' I look around as I try and sit up only to see that Yusei activated one of his face-down cards.
"Just in time, I activated my own Quick-Play Spell, Counter Sword. It lets me increase my Seven Sword Warrior's attack by 500, and then halve an opponent's monster attack, but both only last until the end of the turn" Yusei explains, making me exhale loudly, 'Best tag team partner I ever had.' He hold his hand out to me pulling me back up.
"It doesn't matter, neither of you can get pass our wall!" Toyo calls out, "My turns over."

Putting my hand on my Deck I smile, 'Chant of the Heavenly and the Demonic.' I quickly draw my card and activate it immediately, "Fate has blessed me again! I activate the Spell, Chant of the Heavenly and the Demonic! I fuse Queen of Rose, the Stately Angel who wilts in my graveyard, with Rose Sorcerer, the Demon Angel who sleeps in my hand!"

The two angels fly around each other, their petals begin to fly off surrounding the two, "Wait! How in the hell did you know what card you were about to draw!?" Ren yells out, "You didn't even look at it before you played it!"
The wind around us begins to stir, as I feel three sets of eyes land on me, "My name is Rei Izayoi, the King of Kings at my academy, where I came into my alias as the Foreseen Rose! With my Foresee Draw, I can always predict the card that I'll draw," I respond, watching the shock adorn the faces of the officers.
"But enough with introductions, It is time you face something truly ethereal!" The red and purple roses dance through the air slicing through the wind
"I call upon thee, from the Sacred Land at the World's Beginning! Descend, the Rose of Valhalla! Rosaria, the Great Gallant Demon Angel!" I chant as I put my hands together in front of me, the roses disappear leaving only a red and purple angel floating above the duel field.

Officer Ren starts to laugh, "How is that monster suppose to bring down the impenetrable wall of Sector Security?" he calls out, "If you really think an overgrown flower like that can beat us, you're nothing more than a loony freak, with all this predictions and fate talk."
I can feel myself flinch backwards at the comment, the wind around us begins to rush, "People like you never try to understand how others can be different. You call me names, yet the two of you use your authority to hurt those who have no power to defend themselves. Because of that sin, judgment has been passed and your fates are sealed!"
The wind around them cools, freezing the ground around them. "I activate Rosaria's effect. Fallow Wind!" another gust of wind rips through the field, freezing all of the other cards along with the walls of the buildings around them/
"Wha.. what is happpenning" Officer Toyo shivers, looking at the frozen roads and puddles of water around him. "H... how could that monster's effect freeze everything?" he questions, before glancing at his duel disk.
"It seems you underestimated just who you were dueling. I am a lot more than a loony freak as you called me," I respond looking at the damage. 'Guess I wasn't able to keep my emotions in check,' towards Yusei, whose eyes never left me, 'he doesn't seem scared of my power,' I tell myself, 'he'll have questions I'm sure.'
"Rosaria cold winter chill, freezes all face-up cards on the field, negating their effect and rendering them useless. Just like you do, now all me to show you the true power of the Rose of Valhalla!" I vow, "Rosaria destroy Goyo Defender, show no mercy! Valhalla Harvest!" Rosaria fires a red and purple orb hitting and destroying Ren's monster with an explosion.

The dust begins to settle, with Officer Ren laying on the frozen ground uninjured. 'Oh thank Ra! I didn't hurt him,' I silently pray, before glancing at Officer Toyo, who is begging for mercy, "there is no mercy for the wicked! I activate a Quick-Play Spell, Quick Attack, by targeting a Fusion monster I control, it can attack again this turn. Rosaria destroy Goyo Chaser, and end this duel! Valhalla Harvest!" I command, I feel myself stammer and my vision starts to darken when I hear a loud boom.

I fall to the ground, only to be caught by someone, and I hear their muted voice say, "When you get your strength back, we are... about... duel," the voice says, then I hear a blaring siren and then nothing.
