Ryl Mines

Meanwhile, Sabine and Ancor were leading their group of Clone Troopers in the direction of the Ryl Mine sites which had, according to Cham Syndulla, been the place where all the citizens of Ryloth had been dragged off to by these invaders. The mines were nestled in the cliffs of the far east and were usually heavily guarded by the Ryloth Police.
Sabine glanced through her viewfinder briefly and could see the cliffs far off in the distance, "Almost there, just a few more clicks."
Gilgaro and Inoma bought up the rear of the group to make sure there was no one following them and to prevent enemies from sneaking up on them from behind.
"We should stop here for a brief break," Ancor suggested as he could feel his throat becoming dry from the heat of the sun.
"That sounds like a fantastic idea," Gilgaro called up to them from the back of the party as he took in deep gulps of air to catch his breath.
Sabine's helmet hid her eye roll at the older man, "Looks like you need to get out of that heap of junk you call a ship more often," she teased, "We'll stop for a short break."
The party stopped at a cluster of large rocks and some of the members leaned against them while others sat atop of them.
"Any ideas on what we are going to do when we reach these mines?" Ancor asked curiously.
Sabine removed her helmet to allow her flame coloured hair to fly in the breeze as she she laid out her plan for everyone in the group to hear.
"You two really should stay here where its safe. Damsels don't belong in combat," Ancor said with a small grin, which would normally be considered charming, in an attempt to flirt using Gilgaro's advice. This statement caused everyone but Gilgaro, whom grinned broadly in pride, to stare at Ancor in shock as to what he just said and Inoma was speechless as she could not understand why the young co-pilot thought that saying that would result in anything positive. Inoma glanced over at Sabine to gauge her reaction, knowing full well by now how fiery the young Mandalorian's personality was. Sabine was clearly fuming now once she got over her shock of what he had just suggested and before anyone in the group could react she delivered a solid and hard punch squarely to his face. The young man was unconscious within seconds as he slid off the rock he had been sitting atop of and he was now lying on the ground.
Gilgaro winced and then proceeded as if nothing had happened, "Well we should get moving again, shall we?"
Sabine placed her helmet back on her head silently as she began walking in the direction of the mines only to be followed by the party as the Clone medic carried Ancor's unconscious form.

Half an hour later they had stopped just outside of the mines behind some large rock formations to fully plan their attack.
"I'll go in there and get behind the lines to set up some explosives," Sabine stated simply, "Then when I give you the signal, start the attack."
"And while we have the enemies attention you will release the Twi'leks and send them out to hide behind these rocks to wait out the fight," Inoma finished for her.
Sabine gave a strong nod in response.
"What do we do about Ancor?" Inoma asked cautiously not wanting to upset the young Mandalorian but the young co-pilot was a valuable asset to their team and she strongly felt they needed him with them in this fight, despite his previous comment. At that statement, Sabine walked briskly over to the young man's still unconscious body, "He actually should have been awake by now," she wondered to herself out loud. Then next thing anyone knew she dumped water over Ancor's face causing his eyes to snap open suddenly.
"Wha-," Ancor sputtered as he sat up and started to wipe water off his face.
"Come along Citraya Slanci'dr, time to show me what you're made of," Sabine stated with a straight face as she grabbed Ancor's ear and proceeded to drag him towards the mine.
"Ow ow!" Ancor yelped, "What does that even mean?" he asked and then the Mandalorian let go only to shove him roughly down behind a rock that was closer to the mine entrance.
"Care to tell me what the plan is?" Ancor asked only to be shushed abruptly by Sabine who was now peaking over top of the rock as she made her observations.
"You need to watch my back and follow my lead," Sabine said simply, "Don't do anything stupid and stay quiet," she ordered.
After a few short moments, Sabine signalled for him to follow her as they rounded the rock and ran in a low crouch silently towards the side of the entrance. They slipped inside without being spotted and Sabine let out a soft sigh of relief.
"Stop here," she whispered in a very low voice as they came behind a generator and she proceeded to take out a tool that Ancor was unfamiliar with. Sabine began to spray what looked like paint on the cave wall behind the generator in the shape of some sort of symbol of which Ancor was also unfamiliar with.
"I didn't know you were an artist," Ancor mumbled in awe at her creativity and even though her face was hidden behind her helmet he was sure she was quirking her eyebrow at him as she glanced down at her armour.
"You really couldn't tell?" Sabine asked with a slightly amused tone and Ancor blushed as he realised that it should have been obvious with her colourful armour, "You catch on real quick don't you Citraya Slanci'dr?"
"Again, what does that even mean?" Ancor asked in confusion but he never got an answer as the Mandalorian proceeded to drag him further into the cave.
"Didn't I tell you to keep quiet?" Sabine hissed and Ancor was about to respond when she suddenly threw him against the wall and held him there as she covered his mouth. Then she put a finger to her lips to tell him to be quiet as they heard voices close by. The pair waited until the voices disappeared further into the cave.
"We need to get back to the task, don't have much time left," Sabine whispered as she then started to drag Ancor by the arm once again. They stopped a few more times on the way to wherever they were going so that Sabine could paint more pictures.
"Why are we wasting time painting everything?" Ancor asked in frustration as so far the Mandalorian had painted sections of the cave wall, generators, mining equipment and now the ground.
"You will just have to wait and see," Sabine stated simply as she was kneeling on the floor in the middle of the cave, "Now focus on keeping an eye out, would you?"
Once she was done they returned to walking along the wall in a low crouch as they approached where the Twi'leks were being held.
"Now what?" Ancor asked in bewilderment.
"We sit and wait for the fireworks to start," Sabine said simply with a small smile which was once again hidden by her helmet as she knelt down onto one knee and waited patiently for whatever she planned to happen. Ancor groaned softly as he knelt down next to her. They didn't have to wait very long for something to happen as all of sudden there was a massive explosion of colour not too far back towards the entrance and then the rest of the paintings Sabine had completed exploded promptly, one after the other.
"Explosive paint.." Ancor mumbled in awe as Sabine grabbed his hand again and dragged him towards the cells as the guards ran off to investigate the commotion. They went along the row of cells and opened the doors quickly.
"Vue onhso ka nat nolna n'irs or ji dura! Rikey!" Sabine ordered the Twi'leks quickly in their native language. The group ran through the tunnels back towards the entrance as Sabine and Ancor covered their escape.
"Death Watch," Sabine growled under her breath as she recognised the armour of the captors. She was about to shoot one of them down when Ancor interrupted her.
"No, let me do this," Ancor said as he started shooting at the armour clad Mandalorian.
"I don't need your help," Sabine growled at him as he missed his target and then she scowled at him as they backed away from the approaching enemy.
"Sabine Wren," the Mandalorian stated in a simple tone with a heavy accent as he got closer to them, "Fancy seeing you here of all places."
Sabine's face went white as a sheet as she recognised the voice and Ancor moved in front of her protectively.
"Sabine, get out of here," Ancor pleaded charmingly.
Sabine growled as she turned her attention to the young man in front of her, "Stop telling me what to do."
She began shooting at the Death Watch member once again but nothing was penetrating his armour and Ancor followed her lead by also shooting at him with the blaster that Gilgaro had given him.
"Word of advice my friend, you don't want Sabine to leave you here," the Mandalorian said in a sauntering tone as if to flirt with the young woman. Sabine and Ancor could hear the sounds of a battle getting further into the mines, closer and closer every minute. They continued to try and shoot down their opponent, shortly after Sabine had managed to hit him in between the armour of his knee and lower leg causing him to fall to his knees. That's when he took out his blaster and started firing back at them, Ancor started diving out of the way while Sabine reflected them with the mini shields that were built into her gauntlets. However, the Mandalorian suddenly bent over in half and set off his missile towards the cave ceiling above Sabine.
"Sabine!"
The following events transpired so quickly that before Sabine could register what had happened Ancor was trapped under a pile of rocks that had once been the ceiling. The young co-pilot had pushed her out of the way only to get buried under the torrent of rocks. Sabine sat there in shock for a few seconds as her mind tried to process what had just happened and when it clicked in her head she looked around quickly to find that the Death Watch were gone.
"Ancor!" Sabine called out as she ran over to him and heaved a few of the rocks away until she had uncovered his head and a limp right arm. She felt his neck to check for a pulse and gave a soft sigh of relief when she felt it, albeit it was a very weak pulse. Then she started to assess as much of the rest of his injuries as she could to find that so far he had a severely bruised right eye but she could not tell how serious it was just by looking at it. Then she checked over his hand and felt crunching when she placed even the slightest bit of pressure so she stopped. The boulders that covered the rest of his body were too large and heavy for her to lift.
"Ancor, please wake up," Sabine begged desperately as she fought the sudden wave of emotion that was threatening to take over her body. Then suddenly she felt a soft hand on her shoulder which caused her to jump slightly and she turned abruptly to find Inoma standing behind her. The Clones were running over to them followed shortly by Gilgaro who was out of breath by the time he reached where they were gathered.
"I'll contact the others, we need someone here who can use the Force to get these rocks off him," Inoma said as she took charge of the situation and then she patted Sabine's shoulder reassuringly, "Everything will be okay."
Then she turned away from the scene and took out her comlink.
"Mia, we need backup urgently," Inoma stated in a clear voice as she tried to keep reign on her emotions.
"What's happened?" Mia's voice responded through the comlink.
"Ancor is stuck under a pile of boulders and we can't get him out," Inoma explained quickly and briefly.
"Copy that, I am sending Jania and Gav your way," Mia replied.
"Gav and Jania are on their way," Inoma announced to the group, "We should try and clear as many of these rocks as we can while we wait," she added as the group set themselves to work. The Clones started picking up the smaller rocks and boulders to move them to the other side of the cave. Meanwhile Sabine was keeping her attention on making sure that Ancor's pulse did not disappear. After a few minutes they had moved as many of the rocks as they could which meant the group had to wait and hope that Jania and Gav would arrive in time.

Gav and Jania received the urgent call from Mia to get to the mines where one of the teams were currently fulfilling their objective.
"Mia, what happened?" Gav asked in concern.
"No time to explain, get their straight away," Mia ordered strongly, "I'm sending a medical shuttle down to the location as well," she added.
"Let's step on it," Jania said in deep concern as they turned their Starfighters in the direction of the coordinates and pushed their fighters to top speeds.

After half an hour the two Starfighters landed outside the entrance to the mines where they found Gilgaro waving up at them frantically. The two young Jedi Knights leapt out of the fighters and followed him swiftly as the medical frigate landed next to them.
"Come on, quickly!" Gilgaro called hurriedly as he ran back into the cave followed by Jania, Gav and some more Clone medics with a stretcher. When they reached the site Jania and Gav were shocked at what was in front of them to find Ancor unconscious and buried under a pile of rocks. The two Jedi Knights quickly got over their momentary shock and prepared to lift the rocks off their friend.
"Stand back everyone," Gav ordered seriously as everyone retreated except Sabine who maintained her position, checking Ancor's pulse. Jania and Gav simultaneously raised their hands as they began to lift, move and drop the boulders away from Ancor. They could not do them all at once otherwise they could do more damage and send their friend's body into shock. It was only a matter of moments and his body had been completely uncovered which allowed the Clone medics to rush forward with their stretcher which they lifted Ancor onto. As they walked back towards the medical shuttle, one of the medics quickly attached a heart rate and pulse monitor machine to Ancor. Sabine followed after them straight away and the group weren't too far behind her as they exited the cave.
"I will see you all back at fleet," Sabine stated in a quick farewell before the doors closed and the shuttle took off.
