Hello, again. Welcome back to Ash's Unova journey, my version. Let's get this going with the first chapter rewritten, shall we?
Chapter 2: A new capture

"Pokemon Speech"
We join our heroes as they head down the Unova region's first route. Ash looked forward to finding a new Pokemon to catch and add to his team.
"I wonder what would be a good Pokemon to join the team. I don't know where to start, as I saw so many coming here," Ash said.
"Well, knowing you, Ash, I'd say a flying type of the region as you usually have one on your team," Misty says.
"From what I've heard, there are four bird Pokemon in this region, but mostly in the later areas of Unova; I'd say find something here, Ash," Brock says to Ash, who nods in understanding.
"Sounds like a plan, and here's hoping a certain trio hasn't followed us here to Unova. They've been quiet as of the last few months after the Shinnoh league, which isn't like them," Ash said, which made Misty and Brock suspicious about that. "Either way, we better keep an ear out for them. Knowing them, they may be scheming things as we speak."
The group was pondering, and the said trio was watching them at a distance. "So the twerps are here in Unova as well, huh? Interesting?" Jessie says with an annoyed tone.
"Not like it's going to matter. This part of the region is under our control regarding Pokemon, and it wouldn't hurt for the Twerp to have a few. After all, we've been here after the Shinnoh league ended," Meowth says.
"Not like the Twerp will understand what we have planned for them. This Journey of theirs will end in our victory once things are finished with our operation, that is," James said.
"But for old-time sake, we'll try to get Pikachu, but he's not our main target, while here in Unova, we have rare Pokemon to join our team now," Jessie suggested.
"Might as well reveal our plans this early would hurt our mission to take control over Unova with our newly captured Pokemon," Meowth pointed out, "Luckily, we don't need them right now, just the Pokemon we brought with us."
All three nodded as we turned to Ash. Who is now in the route's forest part? "Is it just me, or does this area feel empty now?" Misty says with a concerned tone.
"Yeah, there were more Pokemon earlier today. I know that we didn't imagine things." Ash said, looking around. Ash noticed a bird Pokemon nearby, just minding its own business.
"Hey, Pikachu, maybe you can ask that Pokemon what is going on and maybe if it is fine to join our team?" Ash asked his partner Pokemon, nodding, and said Pokemon. As the greyish-black feathered Pokemon was resting from a long flight heard someone coming her way.
"Stay back. I don't want any trouble,' The small Pidgeon bird Pokemon said to Pikachu.
"Okay, I don't want to cause any trouble here. My trainer and I are new here to the region and just started our Journey," Pikachu explains calmly and politely to Pokemon.
"Are you with that trio that attacked the forest recently?" the Pokemon asked, which Pikachu was surprised as he knew who this said the trio was.
"No, but I do know who they are," Pikachu explains about Team Rocket and what they are known for doing to the Pidgeon Pokemon, who calmed down but was still suspicious.
"Even if you aren't with them, you're responsible for the forest getting captured by them in an hour," the Pokemon explains angrily to Pikachu, which Pikachu was shocked by.
"That was during my battle against Snivy and his trainer," Now that caught the young Pokemon's ears and interest.
"So...you didn't know they were involved entirely?" She asked Pikachu. Pikachu nods to her.
"Yeah, in fact, for the last few months, their organization has been quiet to the point that we thought they either gave up or went after something else or the police got involved, but it seems like we were wrong,' Pikachu sighed after saying that this wasn't rare for them, especially these three.
Just as the bird Pokemon was about to ask to join his team, a Sludge Bomb was sent toward the two Pokemon. It was James Weezing.
"Trying to add a new Pokemon to the team, how cute," Meowth says. Just as Ash and his friends just arrived after seeing this, only to hear the group's motto, which the young bird Pokemon was sleeping through, made Team Rocket fall in anger.
"Are they done because I've never heard something so dull? Are these three clowns the ones who caught every Pokemon in the area because they seem incompetent," the young bird Pokemon said to which Meowth translated.
"Hey, who are you calling clowns." Jessie spats.
"Yes, we are the ones who cleaned out the forest in the last hour without hassle," James said confidently, which caused Ash and the group to be shocked cause they had seen Team Rocket ever do that so quickly.
"Not like you'll ever understand how we did it? Nor do we plan to tell you this right away?" Meowth explained.
"Well, give them back. They don't deserve to be with a group of thugs like you," Ash said as Team Rocket laughed at this.
"You are so naive, Twerp. But we will commend you for trying. They aren't here with us anyway." James says while finishing his laughter.
"We've spoken enough. We just came to let you know that your Pikachu here isn't worth our time anymore, not while we are here in Unova, and we'll leave it at that," Meowth said to Jessie.
Ash was about to say something as Weezing used Smokescreen to help the trio escape without issues.
"Dang it, they are gone!" Ash said, upset but trying to keep calm. "Can we have one Journey, just one Journey to a region without those three meddlings in things and causing a ruckus," Ash said. The young bird Pokemon flew on his head to show she understood his frustration. Ash noticed this. " Hey, if you don't want to join the team, I understand, but if you do want to join, I won't stop you." Ash offered the young Pokemon. She shook her head and pointed to one of Ash's pokeballs and, pointing to herself, smiled.
Ash scanned the Pokemon and discovered that it was a flying type named Pidove. Ash pulled out a Pokeball and caught her. Pidove was caught without hassle as Ash let her out of her ball and found out that this Pidove was female and was acting like one.
"Welcome to the team Pidove. On this team, we treat others respectfully and like family," Ash said. Who welcomed Pidove to the team? Pidove was holding out her wing, showing respect and loyalty.
"I'm honored to join you, thank you," Pidove said to Ash, who chuckled at this.
"No need for that, Pidove. Just happy that you want to join me, especially after all that. But if you don't feel comfortable with the team, just let me know, and I'll let you out of your ball without any complaints." Ash explained. She brushed her wing to the side, showing she would be okay with this team, especially with Team Rocket not being a problem. "Okay, if you say so? Welcome to the team Pidove." Ash and his friends left the forest to head to the next town.
Well, that was unexpected of Team Rocket to do that. With a new teammate on the team, Ash's Unova journey continues.
At Team Rocket's hideout, somewhere in Unova.
"That Twerp is in Unova, boss," Jessie reports to Giovanni. "I see. So Ash is now traveling in Unova with his two gym leader friends, huh? That wasn't part of the plan." Giovanni said.
"Shall we start using our new mons on the twerps," Meowth asked. Behind the trio was a massive Pokemon group in tubes hooked up to a darker-looking Pokeball being brainwashed, not to mention connected to a fox-looking Pokemon who was grey and reddish fur coloring, which has been going under massive amounts of brainwashing as of recently.
She looked like she's been brainwashed for the last several months. Amongst the group were Deerlings, a giant metal Pokemon with a steel helmet, a Pikachu-looking electric squirrel, and a Buizel. Still, it looks like he was enjoying it and other Pokemon that haven't been seen before.
"Not yet. Buizel would love to get at Ash at some point, but his time isn't right now." Giovanni explains, "Right now, your orders are to capture more Pokemon from the region by any means necessary. Please do not engage in battles in this early stage of phase one. One project I am entirely under our control; phase two will begin." The evil group laughs maniacally.

And done; this chapter was shorter than expected, and I am sure that I edited more things into the story, but I instead got something out early in terms of how the plot was shifting, but there's more to come down the round, and if you've read my stories you know what is coming. Now that this is out of the way, the next chapter is the Sandile episode that was originally part of Chapter 4. As for the Tepig one combined with it, that'll be in the new chapter 4. Once that chapter is done, Chapters 5 through 25 will stay the same but rewritten paragraph-wise. See you all next time.
