I do not own Harry Potter, the Wizarding World, or any canon characters.
Ron and Hermione insist that Harry is their Best Person

Harry Potter has had to do some difficult things in the past.
Difficult being an understatement. As a baby he stopped the first incarnation of Lord Voldemort and ended the First Wizarding World. Then he survived a rather abusive household growing up, another understatement to put it politely. He subdued a troll, prevented numerous new incarnations of Lord Voldemort trying to come back, exonerated his accused mass murderer godfather, survived numerous attacks on his sanity and character, completed the Tri-Wizard Cup, went on the run while destroying some of the darkest magic in existence, and then stopped Lord Voldemort once and for all and ending the Second Wizarding War.
It was safe to say that Harry was used to adversity and was able to overcome it one way or another.
This time might be the time that would prove him fallible however. Unlike the other situations, there was a goal, a way to end the conflict.
This time, he was not so sure.
He could hear shouting from a long ways away. It was the first thing he heard when he apparated next to the Burrow. The shouting only grew louder as he approached the humble magical home. On the outskirts of the garden he saw Mrs. Weasley sitting in a chair and knitting.
"Hi Mrs. Weasley," he said, greeting her with a hug.
"Hello dear," she replied warmly, kissing him on the cheek. "How are you?"
Harry glanced at the house. He thought he could see it shaking from the shouting within. "Probably having a better day then those two. What's the problem now."
The Weasley matriarch rolled her eyes. "Yet another argument as you can tell. This time however, it's not going to be so easy to fix."
Harry grinned and puffed his chest out, hands on his hips. "I'm Harry Potter, I can fix almost anything."
She grinned. "This time dear, is that you're part of the problem." She would explain no more, instead shooing him away and towards the home.
Somewhat confused, and more than a little concerned, he entered the Burrow and was surprised to see his two best friends in the world aiming their wands at each other. "What's going on?!" he cried in alarm.
"Harry! Good, you're here." Hermione Granger's hair was the wildest he had ever seen, her face bright red. "I would love for you to set things straight."
"Don't listen to her!" Ron Weasley exclaimed. His face was pale but his ears as red as his hair.
"She's mad I tell you!"
"Mad am I?" Hermione's wand tip glowed red. "Is that right?"
"I stand by it!" Which was a bit of a lie since Ron was currently cowering behind a chair.
"What is going on?!" Harry asked again. He had been there for all the Weasley-Granger rows. The Firebolt, Crookshanks versus Scabbers, the Yule Ball, Krum, too many to count. This was the worst he had ever seen them and that included the time Hermione had bombarded Ron with angry canaries.
"Harry, you're a guy right?" Ron asked.
"Last I checked," Harry replied, utterly flummoxed.
"Hah! See there?!" Ron said, pumping his arm in some kind of victory.
"Harry being male is obvious, even to you Ronald," Hermione replied scathingly. "That was never a question."
"Well since he's 'male' then he can't be a maid now can he?"
"Will someone please explain what's going on?" Harry asked a third time. "I feel like I'm about to take a test and missed some vital information. Don't make me disarm you two, I'm rather good at it."
They ignored his, admittedly feeble, attempt at humor.
"Ron insists that you be his Best Man," Hermione spat.
"He said he would!"
"Did you Harry?"
Harry thought. "I never said I wouldn't but," he looked at Ron, "you actually never asked mate."
Ron flushed, trying to ignore Hermione's look of incredulity and glee. "I, uh, well I didn't think I needed to!"
"Does Ron want to ask someone else?" Harry asked. "I wouldn't mind depending who it was."
"No! You're my best mate! You have to be my Best Man."
"Harry is my best friend too! There's no reason he cannot be my Maid of Honor."
"He's a guy! He cannot be a maid!"
Harry felt his face go red from pleasure. He always called Hermione one of his best mates too and it was nice to be fought over like this if he was being honest. "I could be a maid," he mused.
Ron glared at him. "Not funny."
"Just saying, I bet I'd look good in some witch dress robes."
If looks could Hex, Harry knew Ron would be doing all sorts of things to him. "Is this really what the argument is about?" He recoiled when Ron and Hermione screamed "YES" at him at the top of their lungs.
Harry started to laugh. He laughed harder as the other two simply stared at him.
"This is serious Harry," Hermione sniffed.
"I know, I'm sorry. Just, I was really worried when Mrs. Weasley sent me that message. I thought it was a lot more...well...not silly." Harry wiped the tears from his eyes. "I'm touched. I didn't know you two cared this much about me."
Hermione and Ron rolled their eyes in exasperation. "How thick is this git?" Hermione asked with uncharacteristic crudity.
"Right?" Ron said disgusted.
"I don't suppose having someone drink some Polyjuice Potion would solve the problem?" Harry asked teasingly. His mirth died at the glare the other two gave him. "Right, sorry. Just trying to diffuse the tension."
He looked thoughtful. "Well, I can think of something that might work actually. How about I...officiate the wedding?" He blushed at their look. "As much as I don't want to act like a parent and say 'if one cannot have then neither can the other'. But if I officiate, I'll stand right between you two so it's like you're sharing me equally. Then you each can have another Best Man and Maid of Honor. So you'll have one and a half of both. That seems fair don't it?"
Hermione and Ron nodded reluctantly.
"And I'll do your stag and hen parties for you and give speeches for both."
"Really?" Ron said elated.
"Oh Harry, that sounds like an awful lot of work," Hermione said. Her face a mixture of delight and guilt.
"It'd be worth it. You two will get the wedding you deserve and I get to be a big part of it." Harry smiled. "It'll go great!"
And in the end, it did. Which was another bit of an understatement considering what it took to go great. But as most things when it came to Harry Potter, the end was well worth the journey along the way.
