Let's end this three-parter, shall we?
Chapter 23: Resort romance getaway part 3: Return to the forum and new issues.
"Human Speech"
"Pokemon Speech"
As the final day of the resort vacation came. Ash and the gang were getting up and ready to get all of their Pokemon up to date in their training.
Pikachu and Snivy were training together while Pignite and Dewott were testing their strength, preparing for the next gym battle. Little did Pikachu and Snivy know it, but they were being watched by Snivy's ex from the other day. Pikachu and Snivy were clashing Iron Tail and Leaf Blade attacks, showing how even their strength is regardless of how long Snivy has been a starter before joining Ash. Ash noticed a Servine was watching his team from afar. It was not Trip's Servine, but he was already told about it yesterday from Pikachu. Ash saw that a young trainer was trying to train the Servine, but the Servine focused more on Pikachu and Snivy. Ash walked over to the young trainer showing interest in him.
"Hello there, I see you're just starting your Journey," Ash introduced himself to the young trainer. He was of medium build, had brown hair, and had glasses which turned around upon hearing this.
"Hello, there; I've been having trouble with my starter here since yesterday. He's been very stubborn and adamant about something," The young trainer said to Ash, who nodded in understanding while hiding what he knew about yesterday's incident with Snivy and Tranquil.
"My name is Matt. Nice to meet you. I'm from Acumula town," Matt introduced himself, and Ash acknowledged him and nodded.
"Nice to meet you. My name is Ash Ketchem. I'm from Pallet Town, which is in Kanto," Ash introduced himself while looking to the side to see Servine was looking at him and suddenly thought of battling Ash.
"Maybe we should battle Matt maybe to get Servine interested and mind off things," Ash suggested to Matt. Servine smirked as he could finally get back at Pikachu for yesterday and what had happened to his brother. Servine stepped forward to this.
"Bring it? I would love to see the human that beat my younger brother in battle, and I want to battle you, Pikachu," Servine said to Pikachu and Ash, who nodded at this.
"Of course, he wants to battle me? So much for not battling once we get past the 6th Pokemon mark on the team," Pikachu sighed at the suggestion before looking at the towering Servine. Pikachu nodded at this accepting the battle. Snivy looking at this was concerned about this. This was more than just about her. Servine has more than an abusive relationship with her but a bad relationship with his brother and Dewott.
"Well, it seems that works, Ash. I accept your battle offer," Matt said to Ash, who nodded. The two trainers walked towards the battlefield.
Ash noticed that Snivy was more worried than ever. "Is everything okay, Snivy? You've been quiet since we saw Servine's trainer?" Ash asked Snivy, who looked towards Ash.
"Ash, you need to be careful about Servine there. Yes, he's Trip's Servine's brother, but he's very abusive and will do anything to get what he wants, whether it be battling or when it comes to me," Snivy said to Ash. Servine noticed this and shook his head.
"Save it, Snivy. Humans can't understand Pokemon. It seems like your memory about that is as bad as your love for Pikachu," Servine hissed at Snivy, who gave the I don't care gesture towards Servine just as Ash and Matt arrived at the trainer's boxes. Pikachu and Servine were on the same side as their trainers in the middle of the battlefield.
"Okay, Matt, you can make the first move," Ash suggested to Matt, who nodded at this.
"Will do, Ash. Okay, Servine, use Leaf blade," Matt commanded Servine, who charged in with his tail glowing green towards Pikachu. Pikachu knew that Servine would do something while the attack was being launched.
"Pikachu dodge it with Quick attack and use the Iron tail," Ash commanded, who dodged quickly and slammed his tail at Servine on his back, sending him to the ground. Servine gets up to see why Pikachu has given his brother some trouble, but he is past that.
"Now use Leaf Tornado Servine," Matt commanded Servine, who launched a massive tornado of leaves toward Pikachu. Hitting Pikachu was slicing Pikachu's coat, but not enough to cause too much damage for his trainer's sake.
"Pikachu uses Volt Tackle," Ash commanded Pikachu, who charged in with electricity covering his body. This took Servine aback. He had heard that move before but had never seen it used. It hits Servine, sending him back hard to the ground and struggling to get up.
"Hey Matt, you might want to stop the battle before it gets worse for him, and this isn't what we wanted in terms of practice battle," Ash said to Matt, who nodded at this and ran over to Servine, who hated to admit it but he was outmatched and powered.
"Now you can see why your brother lost to Pikachu Servine? He's not just a good battler but a good Pokemon and a friendly rivalry with your brother," Snivy said to Servine, who hissed at the fact that he was hearing all this and insult to injury.
"Don't waste your breath. As for you, Snivy, go and have Pikachu that I'll give him but don't think that this is over," Servine said to Pikachu and Snivy while turning to Pikachu. "I'll get even with you, Pikachu. Don't think that this insult will go unnoticed," Servine said to Pikachu as Matt returned Servine to his ball and sighed at this.
"Sorry, it seems like I still need more time with him, I just had him for almost a year, and yet suddenly he's been acting like this," Matt apologized to Ash, who held his arm out to this.
"It's fine. I know that you'll get better with him, that's for sure, but it seems like it's more of an issue with Snivy and him than you, Matt?" Ash said to Matt, who looked down, still not understanding what was happening with his starter, nodded at this, and left to get Servine healed.
"He's more stubborn than you think. It will be harder to get him to listen," Snivy sighed. "I can tell that Matt is a good trainer and knows how to raise Pokemon. But he will need to be more confident in his training ability to follow his goal as a trainer?" Snivy said to Ash. Ash nodded at this little did they know it, but someone was watching this from afar, one of Team Rocket's Pokemon who had his eye on Servine since the second day. It left to report back to base.
The last day of the resort vacation was coming close as Ash returned his key to Nurse Joy after finishing eating. Ash and the others leave for Nimbasa City, saying goodbye to Nurse Joy.
With a new rival added for Ash, the Journey has just begun as the Journey continues.
Meanwhile, back at Team Rocket headquarters in Unova, the said Pokemon reported what had just happened with Servine.
"So it seems like there's a Pokemon who hates the twerp's Pokemon as much as we do that isn't Pikachu? He'll make a good Pokemon for our collection," Jessie said.
"We'll get him later on down the road. Until then, we'll keep an eye on him and his twerp trainer," Meowth said to Jessie while his paws were on his hips. A container was opening up as an Emolga emerged, now even more brainwashed than before.
"Good timing Emolga. Now you'll be briefed about your next mission is to infiltrate the twerp's team and try to make Pikachu slowly become one of ours. Given that you'll be very manipulating, you can convince them easily?" Meowth said to Emolga, who nodded at this as a dark electric spark came from the electric sacs on her cheeks.
Stay tuned
Finished, this chapter starts a very long arc. While Emolga's mission will only last for a while, the arc will continue. With that said, the Emolga episode is next. Catch you guys later.
