SK Future Lunatea
The Starship Phonix lands on Lunatea. Rayman speaks first. "We haven't been to my home Galaxy in a while…" Sly responds with, "But since there's two Guardians in this area, we're probably going to be here a while. If you want to go see your Glade friends, just say the word." "No thanks, I'm good. The first order of business: Klonoa, our Guardian of Dreams. I wish I could say I feel good about his chances given that Arc is not a mean person, but we'll see." Sora responds with, "I'm still in shock about that…"
Leorina comes up to the group in absolute panic mode.
"Finally! We've been trying to get ahold of the Soul Princes for hours! Klonoa has been taken prisoner and there's Heartless everywhere!
Ratchet responds with, "Huh. Must have left the Gummiphone on silent. Where's Klonoa now?"
"The Heartless seem to be originating from the Kingdom of Mira-Mira. I assume Klonoa isn't far behind." Sonic responds with, "Anyone up for some snowboarding? Because things are about to get cold…"
Gameplay section in the Lunatea hub world, where the trek to Mira-Mira leads into an Ice Cap Zone/City Escape style ride down the mountain. Near the bottom, Bentley's Heartless Detector starts freaking out. "Seems like we're almost there. Soul Princes, make your preparations and let me know when we are ready to move forward."
After a quick Save Point and Moogle Shop visit, the Soul Princes tell Bentley they're ready to go.
And they head down the mountain, weapons drawn. A silent Klonoa looks sad as he comes into view, almost like he doesn't want to do what he's about to do.
ARCADIA-POSSESSED-KLONOA
GUARDIAN OF NIGHTMARES
A boss fight commences with the possessed Klonoa throwing things. Who else is good at throwing things? Yep, it's a boss fight where you play as Murray. I'm reminded of the job in Sly 2 episode 1 where you're silencing Dimitri's alarm system.
After the beatdown from "The Murray", the shadow searates from the Guardian of Dreams, and landed nearby. Klonoa collapsed.
Sora: Klonoa! (group but Rayman head over to him)
Rayman: (walks to Arcedia) Arc?
Arcedia: ...R-Rayman? (Looks over to the other six heroes and Klonoa) Huh? What are you all doing here? What's wrong with Klonoa?
Link: Leorina told us that Klonoa was being held prisoner here. It seems you were possessing him the whole time.
Arc: Oh no... they did...
Rayman: They did? You mean the others?
Arc: I didn't want to do anything, but they... didn't take no for an answer. They only care about destruction. So they said that they'll get me to bring fear and despair, whether I want to or not. And that's all I remember.
Rayman: How... could they do this? To their own family member...
Klonoa: (groans) What happened?
Arc: Guardian Klonoa! (hurries over) I am so sorry for everything I brought upon Phantomile and Lunatea!
Klonoa: Wait. Arcedia? What even happened?
Rayman: To put it simply, the other Sins had brainwashed him to possess you and bring more Nightmares and Heartless to your worlds.
Klonoa: Huh? (Looks over to Arcedia) They really did brainwash you to possess me, Arcedia?
Arc: Yes, and I'm really sorry for doing it! I never wanted this to happen at all!
Klonoa: Hey, it's alright. I'm sure you didn't want to cause harm to Phantomile and Lunatea.
Rachet: But now, the remaining guys are going to pay more than the last for what they did. (punches own hand)
Link: There are only two sins left to stop, I believe. Gula and Avanitia. Which one should we go after next?
Sora: Well, Ray, Klonoa, and Abe, our Guardian of Spirit, all live here in the Dream Galaxy. So we best check on Abe.
Sly: I agree with Sora on this. And if I had to guess, I'd say it'll be Gula and he possessed Abe like the others have to the other Guardians.
Mario: Agreed.
Sonic: Well, let's get going, guys! (They head off)
