Chapter 59: Crisis in the Chargestone Cave pt2: Power

Ash and the others knew they would be fighting much harder this time if they wanted to save the cave from Team Rocket's control and all the Pokemon.
"Krokorok, come on out," Ash sent out his Pokemon, who was ready to fight them.
"Gyrados, Steelix, come on out," Misty and Brock sent out their Pokemon, knowing they'll be needed to handle them. Eelekrik, with the group, stood before them, ready to fight with Ash and his friends Pokemon. The two Pokemon launched a focus blast and Thunderbolt.
"Stone Edge Krokorok, Steelix use Dragon Breath, Gyrados use Flamethrower," Ash, Brock, and Misty commanded their Pokemon as the moves clashed with the two attacks. The Eelekrik Friend used Thunderbolt on Klingklang, hitting it as it shook it off. Emolga is in the background, snickering at seeing this.
"Try as you might, those Assorted wings powered those Pokeballs along with Zoroarks anger and hatred for those who aren't Team Rocket," Emolga snickered as she took her to leave, knowing that this would cause a particular Pokemon to come out of hiding.
The commotion caught the attention of a Pokemon, alright? He fired a Flamethrower right at one of his sons and the Klingklang. It was an Eelektross.
"Dad!" Eelektrik said as the two brainwashed mons ran off before he could do anything. Eelektross growled at Ash and the others, thinking that they were responsible. "Dad, stop. They aren't responsible. They saved my life, and two of their Pokemon are friends," Eelektrik said to his father, who nodded at him.
"Okay, son, if you say so, but I still don't trust humans, given what happened to you," Eelektross said to his youngest son before turning to Ash and his friends, who returned their Pokemon to show respect.
"We understand why you are upset, sir. Before all this, we were going to pass through and not cause harm to everyone here in the cave," Ash said to Eelektross, who calmed down. "But we can help stop whoever is responsible for this."
Eelektross waved his arms and asked Ash and the others to follow him. Ash and the others did follow them. Emolga was just a little behind.
"Galvantulla, we are getting near our mission being over. Is your mate ready to join us? Or is that egg of yours still not ready to hatch," Emolga said to Galvantulla, who nodded.
"Yeah, it just hatched into a young baby girl. I hate that I have to leave here without parents, but orders are orders," Galvantulla said to Emolga, who sighed.
"Find a way for her to join the twerps; as much as this part of me hates to say it, they are good at caring for younglings. They always do," Emolga said as Galvantulla went silent as he looked at her. "Oh, no, if you think I'll take her to the twerps, you forget it. I'm in charge here, Galvantulla. Ugh, fine, but don't think I'll keep an eye on her or make sure she joins our team, deal," Emolga said as Galvantulla nodded.
The group was heading through the tunnels as Galvantulla watched the group from a distance Emolga had his daughter, who was sleeping, and set her nearby, which the group wasn't aware of, but Elektrik saw this. A young Joltik.
"Huh? Hey, are you okay little one?" Eelektrik said as the young Joltik noticed him, squealed and cutely hopped onto him. Ash looked up at the young Joltik and noticed that it was the pre-evolved form of Galvantulla. However, she doesn't try to take his electricity from him but is more clingy to electric types. She noticed and did the same to Pikachu, who laughed at how cute she was.
Ash lets out Zebstrika to inspect the young Joltik as she looks like she just hatched. Zebstrika inspected her and noticed how different she was personality-wise. "Is everything okay, Zebstrika?" Ash asked Zebstrika, who nodded as Joltik hopped on her and happily crawled around her body.
"Yeah, she is very healthy. No, she's way healthier than most babies I've seen, Ash. But something is different about her," Zebstrika said as Ash and the others were curious. "Most, Joltik is known to take electricity from Electric Types like me in small amounts. But she is more clingy than wanting to do that," Zebstrika said.
Ash nodded and picked up the little one wiggling her feelers at Ash, showing her interest in him, even petting her back. Joltik cooed before sleeping in Ash's arms.
"I'll have her on my back, Ash. Just don't have me in a battle," Zebstrika said; now knowing where they were, Ash did as told.
"Now that this distraction is done, we will continue," Eelektross said as the trio nodded and walked with him. Everyone noticed that many Electric types were eyeing them, curious about who they were, and were out of the standard path to the next town. Ash and the others were not trying to show any reason to cause trouble. Eelektross arrived with Ash and the others at a rather large stone surrounded by many blueish stones. Ash and the others were in awe.
"This has to be the infamous stone that powers up the entire cave and Unova," Zorua said. The group realized what she had said.
"Correct, you are young Zorua. This is indeed the exact stone, and many use Electric types powered by these exact stones. I am bringing you here to help you with a small power boast of stopping whatever is going on," Eelektross said, which Ash and the others were surprised by. "Don't get me wrong, humans? I still don't trust you, but I am in debt for helping my youngest son here, and I thought you were behind these attacks."
"So you heard about what is happening in Unova?" Servine said to Eelektross, who nodded.
"Yes, word has passed through here from many trainers and Pokemon from the region that were attacked, and when I saw you three fighting my oldest son, I thought you were behind it," Eelektross explained.
"But, we are new here and don't know much about this stuff? Yes, Ash visited here as a kid, but that was over six years ago, and wouldn't want anything to do with this?" Misty said to Eelecktross, who looked at Ash.
"My family is with the league here. I wouldn't try to put something as sacred or my family's ties in danger," Ash explained as Eelecktross nodded and was curious about Ash.
"I understand why you would say that, and the league wouldn't try to harm the cave, but lately, most humans try to misuse it for personal gain," Eelektross said.
"We weren't planning to take anything here, Pokemon or power-wise," Ash said as Eelektross was curious about what Ash meant by that. "We are trying to help stop these attacks whenever we can. Team Rocket is after something that is all we know about Eelektross, but a former member wasn't upfront with us as much," Ash explained just as an Electro Web was launched right at Ash and the others.
Galvantulla, Eelektrik, Klingklang, and Emolga were ready to fight the group. Misty noticed how much Emolga had changed looks-wise and knew something was wrong with her.
"Thank you, twerps, for luring us to our main target, and you didn't know it," Galvantulla said to Ash and the others as Eelektross could tell that Ash and the others weren't aware of this. "Now be a good twerp and hand it over to Team Rocket's control, and we won't have to battle," Galvantulla said as Ash and the others stood firm before the Eelektross, refusing to stand down. Pikachu Eelektrik were ready to fight against them.
"Pikachu, Eelektrik, use thunderbolt," Ash commanded the two Electric types and pulled out a Pokeball. "Krokorok, come on out. We need your help," Ash sent him out, who was ready to fight. "Brick break on Klingklang," Ash commanded him, who launched its attack at Klingklang as Pikachu and Eelektrik used Thunderbolt on the two Electric types.
While this was going on, Emolga flew off, letting her new captures do all the work. Both the opposing Pokemon were hit but weren't phased by Ash's Pokemon's attacks.
"Krokorok, use Earthquake," Ash commanded his Pokemon, who slammed his feet on the ground, shaking Klingkland and Galvantulla but did nothing to Eelektrik. "Servine, use Leaf blade on Eelektrik Pikachu Iron tail," Ash commanded both, who slammed their attacks on Eelektrik, sending him to the ground.
"Volt Tackle Pikachu," Ash commanded Pikachu, who charged right at Klingklang, sending it into Eeletrik and Galvantulla, sending them out of the cave. "Hey, where did Emolga run off to," Ash said, noticing that she went back into her ball but won't come out of it.
"Forget her, human; you're strong enough for now, but I do owe you for helping me out there," Eelektross told Ash before turning to his youngest son. "I think you are in good hands, son. It'll allow you to join him as thanks for saving the stones, but I have a feeling that this isn't over," Eelektross said.
"You felt it too Emolga gave up too easily there. She's up to something. Keep an eye out for her," Ash said to Eelektross, who nodded. Eelektross handed Ash a Thunderstone, which made Ash confused. "Uh, I don't plan on using this on Pikachu if that is what you are asking?" Ash said that Servine and Zorua laughed at this. "Huh? What's so funny, you two?" Ash asked the two mons.
"Sorry, Ash, we forgot you haven't seen one before?" Zorua said as Servine nodded.
"You see, Ash. Eelektrik evolves into Eelektross using a Thunderstone," Servine said as Ash realized what was happening.
"Wait, you want me to evolve him right away" Ash was interrupted by Eelektross.
"No, not at the moment, human. When my son feels ready and trusts you enough, he will use it," Eelektross told Ash. Ash nodded as the group left the cave, which was shorter than planned as Eelektross helped find a shortcut. Joltik nuzzled Ash's leg wanting to join his team.
"You want to join my team, girl?" Ash asked the little one, who nodded.
"Yes, please, I want to and maybe one day be a strong Pokemon while keeping myself as nice as I am," Joltik said to Ash as Zebstrika walked over to Ash.
"Ash, I can go in Eelektrik's place when you capture him so I can take care of her and train her to your standards, as I feel like my role as understanding younglings has ended for the time being," Zebstrika said to Ash.
"You sure, girl? I mean, who knows, we might need you?" Ash said to her, who shook her head.
"Aside from Levanny and Whirlipede. I'm the only Electric-type on the team outside of Pikachu who knows how to train Pokemon like her and can help her grow. I'm sure Tranquill would need me there anyway," Zebstrika explained. Confused about the last part, Ash nodded, pulled out a quick ball, caught Joltik, and sent her and Zebstrika to Professor Oaks' lab.
"Good luck, you two," Ash said before turning to Eelektrik, who smiled and nodded as Ash pulled out a Pokeball, tapped him, and caught him without hassle.
"Take good care of those two, Ash. You are a better trainer than most humans I've seen and earned my wishes," Eelektross said to Ash, who bowed to him, showing respect.
"Thank you, Eelektross, and I promise you this will be over, and maybe we don't have to worry about Team Rocket like that again," Ash said to Eelektross, who nodded before returning to the cave.
With not one but two members added to the team, Ash and the others are now in Mistralliton City. The victory was too easy. What does Emolga have planned that Ash and the others don't know as the Journey continues?
Later that night, shortly after Ash and the others were settled in for bed, Emolga's backup plan was taken into effect.
A newly captured Pokemon in a dark ball as Emolga was admiring her handiwork as her communicator rings. "Emolga reporting," Emolga chirped.
"Well, so much for your plan for taking over the Chargestone cave, Emolga. I have gotten the reports of what happened. You abandoned your role to claim this so-called main stone of the cave," Buizel said as Emolga laughed. "Don't laugh at me, Emolga? This isn't the time to do that. Remember, a mistake leads to you not returning to normal."
"Oh, does this look like a failure to you, Buizel?" Emolga said before showing a full-screened Buizel, the main stone of the cave now full of dark ball energy. Buizel's eyes widened at seeing this.
"H-how? I thought that it was heavily guarded?" Buizel questioned as Emolga snickered at Buizel's confusion to her amusement.
"Let's just say, Eelektross is now more cooperative to our goal now, and he didn't know what hit him and is ready to make the Pokemon in this cave ours," Emolga said, showing him the new Dark ball now stopped starting, indicating that he belongs to Team Rocket.
"Impressive, Emolga; I must admit you are close to reclaiming your old life again four more," Buizel said to Emolga, smirking and nodding, which Buizel was concerned about why she did.
"Oh, you will be happy when I'm free, so I won't replace you, Buizel?" Emolga said in a sinister tone Buizel was surprised by this.
"Huh? How did you hear about that, Emolga? I said that to the boss to get him to stop hurting my mind with my Dark Ball," Buizel said Emolga was about to say something only to be interrupted.
"I'd told her, of course, Buizel, to help give her more incentive to catch more Pokemon for the masters, of course," A familiar voice came out of hiding. It was Zoroark Buizel who was taken aback by this.
"Zoroark, you're behind her changing more, not the" Buizel was interrupted by Zoroark.
"The boss had enough of your babying her and trying to make her betray the team," Zoroark told Buizel, who shut up. "You will stand down, Buizel. I'm in charge now, and if you try to stop me, I will ensure she'll be Team Rockets for good. Boss's orders," Zoroark said as Buizel sighed and nodded. She was the boss's main project, after all.
"Got it, Zoroark. Keep her a manageable distance, and remember our team's goal. Buizel out," Buizel said before ending the call upset.
"You will honor his deal with me when I get the last Pokemon for the team, right? I already am doubting Buizel will keep it now that you told me that, Zoroark," Emolga asked Zoroark, who nodded.
"As long as you follow my orders and do not reveal this to the twerps, I will; until then," Zoroark snaps her fingers as Emogla's Electric sac sparks, and Emolga holds her head. "Don't fight it, drawing the attention away from the twerps making you more like my child and returning your fur to normal, but your sadistic personality is still there," Zoroark explained as Emolga returned to normal. She started to laugh.
"Now, you said that you have another goal in this area. Once you finish that, you can take a break until you find another capture for the group. You are free to do what you want, including messing with Pikachu's and Servine's relationship, as that deal was with the old you, not this one," Zoroark said to Emolga, who nodded.

Done and done. This two-parter was fun but tough to write, especially the last part of this chapter. Zoroark is in command now, as Giovanni doesn't trust his Pokemon after all this. This is just the start of the no matter what Ash and the gang do. Team Rocket is one step ahead of them. Before we end this chapter, I want to address something I just got in the reviews. If you review, please don't throw hate on my story because you aren't a fan of Gen 5.
I'm writing this story because I love to write. I don't say in reviews that you shouldn't write this and only do this Generation. But I do want more reviews for this story, though, please, folks. That said, it's the gym battle next. See you next time.
