Greetings everyone. Mgunnels3 here, and welcome to Ash's Unova Journey My Version. Let's get this chapter started, shall we?

Chapter 65: Emolga and Tirtouga a broken friendship

"Human Speech"

"Pokemon Speech"

We joined our heroes as they continued to travel further down the mountain. Emolga looked around for her friend, hoping her friend was still in her.

"We are also near the end of the mountain, as well. But we should go ahead and see if Emolga's friend is here," Brock said, looking at the Guidebook.

"I hope so. The last time I saw her was before Team Rocket took me, and she wanted a trainer like Misty," Emolga said, concerned about her friend.

"You mind telling us what Pokemon she is? So we don't have to be on a wild goose chase," Misty asked Emolga, who sighed as she didn't tell them what the Pokemon's name was before agreeing to help them find her.

"It's a water/rock type named Tirtouga. Yes, it's a fossil Pokemon. But she is the type who loves to battle, makes friends, and doesn't care about who is her trainer as long as it's not our former one," Emolga said to Misty as Ash translated this to Misty as Ash looked up the Pokemon and that caught Misty's attention.

"She does look adorable. I'm surprised your former trainer got their hands on one?" Misty said, which caused Servine to sigh.

"You have no idea what he is like. I'm sure that even Chandelure can tell you all about it or Emolga if she is willing to talk about it?" Servine said, crossing her arms as Misty was curious about what she meant, as did Zorua as Emolga nodded.

"While he wasn't abusive physically, he mentally only cared about winning than winning through gimmicks, and at the time, I just learned Attract and knew how to battle, but he was my first trainer," Emolga said. "And I was the last on the team before Servine was there to help us," Emolga finished.

"You got lucky before he got abusive, Emolga," A female voice called out to her as everyone turned around to see a turtle-like Pokemon flopping her way over to the group. "Emolga has been a very long time," Tirtouga said to Emolga, who nodded.

"Yeah, it has. This is my old friend I was talking about," Emolga said, introducing the group to Tirtouga, who looked at the group curiously but had her suspicions which Emolga noticed. "Something wrong, Tirtouga?" Emolga asked her, as Misty was also curious about this. This wasn't precisely what Emolga told her.

"Should I trust you and your friends here, given what I've heard about you, Emolga, since we parted ways?" Tirtouga said to Emogla with a scowl, and Emolga sighed and knew that her past would come back to haunt her.

"But, we're not with Team Rocket," Misty said after Ash translated the entire thing to her, which Tirtouga was still suspicious about cause she never mentioned who Emolga was with.

"Tirtouga, I wouldn't join a group like this if they were like that group, or have you forgotten that I helped your group out," Servine said to her, who sighed.

"I know that, Servine. I recognized you instantly. Our team hasn't forgotten what you did for us, but I do trust you, not Emolga," Tirtouga said to Servine, which didn't surprise Emolga.

"Look, I know what I did is wrong, and I am trying to make up for what I did. Trust me. There is nothing I can do to apologize to you, Tirtouga, or convince you. But, Misty here, who isn't with that group, is a water-type gym leader and is interested in you," Emolga said to Tirtouga, who was curious about Misty more than what Emolga was rambling about.

"I got a question, Servine. Is Emolga on her team?" Tirtouga asked Servine, who nodded.

"They were the ones who saved me from the group that had me, please, Tirtouga. We took this chance to see if you wanted to join the team given that Litwick and Tynamo also joined Ash's team, which is translated all this," Emolga pleaded with her, surprised by hearing this as Servine nodded at this.

"Please, we aren't going to harm you, nor will we make you join the team if you don't want to, but I am interested in having someone like you and your talents on my team," Misty said Tirtouga, who sighed.

"I will join you. However, I still don't trust Emolga. Yes, she is my former teammate, but you still have a long ways to go to earn my trust. What do you want from me in return for joining your team, Misty?" Tirtouga asked Misty through Ash, who translated this for her.

"More like what you want, Tirtouga. I prefer to let my Pokemon have their preferred methods for joining the team," Misty asked her, who thought about it.

"I want to get stronger while I love battling and making friends. My evolutionary line is known for being strong and taking hits. The other is about Emolga here," Tirtouga now gestured to Emolga. "You want my trust again. You better not lie about them not being with that former group you were in. Everyone who is left that was on the team knows what you were doing and heard it from Druddigon," Tirtouga said to Emolga. Misty was surprised by this as Emolga sighed and nodded.

"Deal, I promise you that Misty is worth it, and she is one of the strongest gym leaders in her home region," Emolga said to Tirtouga.

"And I will do my best to get you stronger, but I want us to be friends as well. I also hate abusive trainers, and one reason we are here is not just for Ash here to take part in the league," Misty said to Tirtouga, who smiled upon hearing this.

"Okay, if you hate trainers like my former one, I accept joining the team," Tirtouga said. Misty pulled out a Pokeball.

"Welcome to the team, and if it's not to your liking, you can leave whenever you like. Just ask," Misty said to Tirtouga, who smiled and nodded.

"I expect good things from joining you, Misty, and thank you for taking the time to find me," Tirtouga said to Misty and Emolga, who nodded as Misty tapped Tirtouga with a Pokeball, and she was caught. Emolga was happy about this but also a bit upset that her former team knew about what she had done.

'You okay, Emolga? After what had been said, it sounded like you two were close,' Servine asked Emolga, who nodded.

"She was the only reason I stayed on that team and closer to a friend than the rest. If you are wondering about the rest, I highly doubt they want to join the team after hearing all this, and you got the ones who needed it," Emolga said to Servine and everyone. "But, I'll be fine. Still got a long way to go to make up for what I've done."

"It's probably for the best that you try periodically to make amends with her, but I do agree that the rest of your team is either with other trainers or somewhere else," Ash said, to which Emolga nodded.

"I think so too, Ash. We are done here. I don't think we need to drag this Journey out any longer here on this mountain," Emolga said.

The group nodded as they made their way out of the Mountain area and saw the nearby city. It was indeed Icirrus City, just as the Guidebook says, as they headed towards the Pokemon center to relax and heal their Pokemon.

With a new capture on the Team, Ash and his friends finally arrived in Icirrus City. What else is in store for our heroes? As the Journey Continues.

Stay Tuned.

Done and done. Yes, this was a much shorter chapter than the last one, given that this wasn't an episode in the anime revolving around this Pokemon other than its final stage. This would be good to wrap up in the Twist Mountains. Tirtouga was requested a long time ago, and we are now in a break of request captures and short chapters, whether it be gym battles or what will be next. It's the Evolution by Fire episode next and a much longer chapter. See you next time.
