Naruto was frustrated.
All the cool shinobi knew how to fight with weapons and stuff, but Fuzzy wasn't helpful at all. It was like he didn't have a clue how to use a sword or even your fists! What good was Fuzzy if he just kept telling Naruto to try stuff until he found something that "felt right"?!
So Naruto was venting his frustration by being a menace. Specifically, to the Uchiha. He was currently sneakily escaping after replacing all of their police headquarters' soap with purple food coloring.
Naruto snuck a different way than usual (Fuzzy told him that if he always did the same stuff, the police could find him easier). He cut through the training grounds around the Uchiha compound, because no one would expect him to do that! Of course, Naruto forgot to think about the fact that there just might be someone using the training grounds.
Lucky for him, it was just a kid. Easy to sneak around.
So Naruto was skirting around the edges of the training ground, when he noticed that the other kid was practicing with shuriken.

-Sasuke-
.
Sasuke didn't really know what happened. One second, he was practicing the shuriken technique his brother showed him. The next, a blond psychopath was practically tackling him to the ground, begging to train together.
As if! Sasuke didn't want to be anywhere near this crazy kid. But he couldn't for the life of him get the nutcase to leave him alone! He was like a bouncing blond leech! If this kid was so desperate to learn shuriken techniques, he should bug someone else! It's not like he could give Sasuke anything in return anyway...
"... And I've got all these cool techniques to practice my chakra and this Transformation Jutsu that's way better than the Academy one, but Fuzzy just won't teach me weapons and stuff like that!"
... Maybe Sasuke would hear this kid out.

-Naruto-

Naruto was ecstatic. The other kid agreed to teach him how to throw shuriken! He even offered to show Naruto his kunai, too! He just wanted to hear about Fuzzy!
Naruto was more than happy to talk all about his really cool dreams. The other kid seemed pretty skeptical, but was somehow fine with Naruto's weird instructor (is Naruto instructing himself through dreams?) as long as he could get something out of it. Thus, a glorious friendship was born.
(There was also some bribery. Sasuke was more than willing to help Naruto get more coffee if it was for training.)
